I have a beautiful front door. It was time to perform maintenance on it. The instructions were a bit vague and listed two products to be used. The names and numbers of theses products has changed over the years. I called customer service 4 times. Each time I was told that someone would call me back, which never happened. I ordered both products; one was $93 the other $42. I couldn’t wait any longer as the temperature was dropping here. After two weeks, I finally got am email asking what my claim was. I said no claim, I just wanted help I’m instructions and products to put on the door for maintenance. I was told that I only needed to use the $42 product. I cannot sent the $93 product back as it is flammable.There doors are beautiful; their customer service is terrible.

The presales from Custom Doors was very detailed making sure they can produce the right door. The instalation was also very professional and even under the shortage of products they were able to deliver on time. About the quality of the door I cant say any other thing than great ! Its supersolid, very well finished and is adding my new house a great look and value.

I wanted a contemporary 9 foot by 6 foot double door. Originally, I was hoping to buy a door made of fiberglass or composite material to withstand the weather and have less maintenance. What I liked the most about this door was the design. Other door companies could only try to copy this design, but I didnt trust their quality. So, I decided to go with Borano (aka Custom Doors) and purchase a mahogany door.The only issue I had was in ordering the door from Nick Wells, their representative. Normally, you would measure the rough opening to determine the final dimensions for a door; however, door I received was 2-1/2 inches too tall. Apparently, the pre-hung frame was not considered into the rough opening measurements. The top of the opening had to be cut to accommodate the extra height, involving more labor. Luckily, there was enough extra width to the opening in order to avoid more cutting.Why should I have to consider more than the rough opening in my measurements? After consulting with many door installers, they all agree that the rough opening should be sufficient.

Used a Custom Door for a high end home and it was fantastic, the quality was unbelievable and a great value for the door provided, I will defiantly be using Custom Doors in the future.

***UPDATE*** Door arrived. Hardware does not fit as the borings for the hardware were done incorrectly at the factory. Door installer has indicated we need a new door. Our builder has called the company for resolution. My husband and I have emailed for resolution and they are not cooperating and will not respond. We have a brand new, custom door that we cannot use that we have paid thousands of dollars for. This is for a new construction home and we cannot move in without a front door. Extremely disappointed in this company. I see from their reviews that they threaten others with legal action and I wonder how many customers have taken legal action against this company.Customer service for this company is horrible. They do not return phone calls, they do not return emails. They are happy to take your money and state that your order is shipping but here we are nearly $12K in and still no door. Mark this as a fraudulent review and threaten me with legal action like you have with others. I have the order, I have the receipts, I just dont have my door.

Owner has requested several tomes for them to come and finish the installation and they are charging extra $850 dollars to finish it.Unacceptable!Finally after charging the extra $850 they finished the job

I have used a number of these doors, formerly Borano, now Custom Door, for over 7-8 years. They are excellent quality and competitively priced. I have one of their doors on my own house and its one of my favorite parts of my home. My only concern is lead time since they are made out of country.

Used them because we needed a custom door that was also an impact door. This was for Sunrise FL home. Great service. Great price. Very resourceful with different options. Its a very luxurious looking door also.
