It’s the only game in town so they think they can be rude. Service is terrible and the food is not great. Go to Josh’s meats. It’s a little further but definitely worth the drive. I’ll never come back to this place.

This small gem of a butcher shop packs a huge punch. They have a fantastic selection of fresh meats, cured meats, and other meat products which are all of exceptional quality. They have various cuts of steak, different types of bacon, burgers, sausages, and more which can all be cut to order. Their refrigerated area offers duck fat, bacon jams, homemade sauces, foie gras, chicken liver, beef cheeks, etc. I used their Italian spiced bacon to make Amatriciana and Carbonara sauce as a substitute for guanciale, and both turned out very well. I also grilled their Moroccan spiced lamb and maple foie gras sausages which were off the chart. They also have dry goods like spice blends, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Their wine selection really surprised me. They have a strong selection which is eclectic, thoughtful, and reasonably priced. They also serve a variety of sandwiches during lunch hours. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, its a very small place but they have a phenomenal selection of food and beverage products. A must visit for the food obsessed and casual eaters alike.

In addition to supplying the best restaurants in Miami, the storefront in Miami Shores offers Proper Sausages and other products to those of us who cant go without for home use. Ive eaten every sandwich on the board and can say with impunity that they are all amazing. The only thing they need to do to improve is expand! And maybe open three or four other retail spots all around Miami.

This place is great!! The food is excellent. Ive gone a few times now and always order something different and everything Ive tried tasted amazing. The manager, Akili, always makes sure everyone is satisfied with food and service. Hes doing a great job. Their salted caramel soft serve is out of this world. And the corn dogs are to die for. Also a good place to watch a game because they have big TVs both inside and out. Definitely will not stop coming here.

Love this place. Wish they had one in Broward, but its worth the trip.

Very impressed! Finally a real butcher shop.I have been looking for a butcher shop with great products and here it is. As it was lunch time I wanted to bring sandwiches home for the family. We had the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, the Roast beef and the pulled pork sandwiches. All three were absolutely awesome!!We also cooked up some of their Butchers cut burgers which are some.of the best I have had in a long long time.I cant wait to try their sausages as we bought one of each to test.UPDATE: all sausages were very tasty. Each had their unique flavor and texture. No matter your taste you cant go wrong.

Excellent smoked, cured meats and they have a fresh meat case also. They have lots is samples out of their smoked sausages. Also different jellies to try. Bring a cooler and load up!

The breakfast sandwich was THE BEST breakfast sandwich Ive had in a while. My husband had the pulled pork and it was great as well. Yes, during covid, you have to wait outside for a few minutes but I highly suggest placing your order online and most of all HAVE A LITTLE PATIENCE AND KINDNESS. Top quality meat and sausage. We were camping near by and bought boneless rib eyes and smoked pork chops. Cooked them over an open fire, cut the rib eye with a butter knife. The smoked pork was moist and tender with just the right amount of smoke.

Im a Shores resident and we are lucky to have so much great food in the surrounding areas. Proper Sausages is no exception; the only butcher in town that sells you quality cuts of poultry, beef, and pork for you to make at home, but also offers to cook some of their selection in house for you. Just walk in, take a sniff for yourself and youll be hooked. Oh, and they get brownie points for the superb customer service, love these guys!! :D

You will not find anything remotely good as this place is. High quality meat and sausage. Great wine and beer selection. My favorite sandwich there is the fig & blue cheese with sautéed red bell pepper and onion. They also make the best chili in the world... don’t even order a side of it.... just buy the whole quart container.... trust me.

Sandwiches are to die for. Friendly and helpful staff. I love that they can tell me all about the animals I’m consuming (cut, diet, location, lifestyle). Very diverse selection of goods.We’re from the west coast and this is the only butcher in Miami that sells tri-tip and it’s worth every penny! Seriously, so delicious!

We are so fortunate to have PROPER SAUSAGE in our neighborhood! We frequent this place all the time! The sausage is great, but they also have the best burgers ever (and dont forget to buy some buns)! And a real nice selection of beer and wine. You must visit the store - you will be hooked too!

Although quite pricey, the sandwich hits the spot for Philly cheesesteak cravings. Employees and nice and attentive right from the point that you come up to the front for ordering. Gets quite busy around lunchtime on the weekend so you might want to head in earlier like we did.

The new owners converted it into a homemade sausage shop. If youre looking for a fresh sausage, this is the place to go. They also will cook them for you, if you ask. They also sell quality wines here. If you want a special sausage made, you need to give them 24 to 36 hours advance notice. Very clean youre . Public restrooms are not available. Parking is in the rear of the store. And several parking spots along Northeast 2nd Avenue, in front of the location. But youre way better off parking in the back. The owners are young, but very knowledgeable, and making homemade sausages. Hope I was helpful.

Service and the best butcher anywhere

What can I say about a place that has fresh made goods and knows what they sell. Also, you know its fresh and homemade when they are out of something and it is fairly early in the day. And the buns that go with their burgers really make the sandwich.

Stopped in after searching for a butcher shop. Clean, well organized, attentive staff. Lots of choices in meat. Ended up buying a Cuban sandwich. Great selection of artisanal sausages, finest meats and chicken. Small selection of craft beers and wines. Everything that they sell is fresh and made with the best ingredients available. They run out of the most popular sausages in the afternoon and sometimes earlier on Saturdays but you could always call ahead and reserve your sausages. We tried different cuts of Wagyu meat and its amazing. I havent tried the bacon yet but it looks delicious. The chicken is the best i found so far, all natural and super fresh. They also have sandwiches to go, all made to order.I highly recommend that you call ahead for availability.
