My husband was in need of a certain blade for his saw that was difficult to locate. We stopped in northern tools to take a chance… They had the blade he needed! The older gentleman that assisted us was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The entire staff was helpful! We will return!

If this had not literally been the only place I could purchase what I was looking for on such short notice near 5:00, I’d have walked out of here in a heartbeat. Never and I repeat, NEVER have I been made to feel so uncomfortably criminal in a retail environment. The problem wasn’t just being followed around the store and watched like a hawk the entire time. It was that it almost felt as if it were adding insult to injury that the gentleman did it so blatantly. Although I got what I had to have, this was singlehandedly the worst, most infuriating shopping experience of my life.

The employees are awesome, answered all the questions I had and showed me what I needed. The store is very clean and easy excess to the tools. Fast check out.

Great experience at the Northern tools Metairie location. The salesmen were knowledgeable and very helpful when buying a generator. We’ve been back several times!

I went in to the Metairie store to see about a generator. The people there are very nice and knowledgable, They answered my questions going into full detail to be sure I understood what size I would need etc. Never felt rushed which is also nice because most floor personnel these days just want to brush you off with a quick answer and get back to their cell phone. Clean and organized store!

I’m leaving one star in order to leave my review manager at this location is very rude and very hard to deal with tried to advise him about a problem with his employee and he was quick to jump down my throat and tell me that I’m making a complaint about his employee because he helped me to much . No I’m making a complaint about your employee because he was following me around your store and not once did he ask me can I help you sir . Don’t be quick to judge a person. Take a chill pill sir . Actually listen to what your customers have to say before talking and overloading your mouth with lies . Will not return to your location ever agin and I definitely will be telling others about my experience

We live in Baton Rouge, but drive into Metairie primarily to go to Northern Tool. Weve purchased many products there, including our hot water pressure washer for our pressure washing business. We always have a good experience, everyones friendly, and their Assistant Manager, Griffin, is awesome. He goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and is a huge asset to that store.

Northern Tool has a great selection of tools at reasonable prices. Great job guys!!!

Terrible customer attitude. I ordered a 30000 LED light that was all taped up with box damage. I went to the Veterans Metarie, La. store to ask for help. I was dismissed saying getting damaged boxes from Northern Tools is a common event and they could not help me. I had to contact customer service. I will never go in that store ever again. I would give no stars if I could.

I called to ask if they had a specific kind of product in stock before I drove thru 2 cities to get there. They said yes, but in not convincingly, so I had them confirm TWICE, and SPECIFICALLY, that they had the product. I drove out there and the guy who answered the phone earlier ended up helping me look for the product. I’m thinking “why is this so hard to find if he has it in stock?” After not finding it, he said “we don’t have it,” then wouldn’t confirm or deny that he was the one on the phone. Eventually he blamed the misinformation on his manager who came and proved to be even worse! He just said “we don’t have it,” and walked away. No apology for my wasted time and gas. Horribly unprofessional. I will never go back to this store. Also, the manager had a thuggish vibe to him.

Lots of cool stuff There are three people that work there that made me extremely uncomfortable. They only had about three customers in the whole store. I guess they were just bored to death. Im not a paranoid person by far. Been watching a persons every move is extremely rude. If you work there, please find something to do with yourself. And give customers a little room to shop. If you happen to be one of the employees that work there that are reading this. The reason why I spent as much money as I did it just to prove a point to you that I dont need to steal anything. I make more and 5 hours and you making a weekend. Im much more comfortable at Harbor Freight. Sorry.

I absolutely love this store the staff is wonderful. northern tool has an amazing selection of power tools and hand tools. I am very proud of my purchase of a Milwaukee m18 fuel 1/2 inch high torque impact wrench, also a 3/8 inch m12 electric ratchet and, about 1100 dollars in other tools and storage and couldnt be happier with my purchases. Mike Tran has awesome customer service.

I would rate with less stars if I could. Poor handling of inventory and customer orders. Extremely slow delivery on ordered items. I found the Strongway Dump Cart 15CF 1200L item 46443 online with good reviews. I checked inventory on the website and it said there was one left at the Metairie store. I drove over an hour to get there and the employee said there was none in stock and that the floor model could not be sold. I ordered and paid for one at the counter and it was supposed to be in stock in 2 weeks from May 24. On June 28 I finally called for the second time and they said it was in. Then out of the blue an email showed up in my inbox dated the day I called, June 23. I asked if my daughters could pick it up and they said yes, until they got there and were given a hard time. They said I hadnt paid for it and that I must not have ordered it from the store or they would have had it pinned to a cork board. I after a few go-rounds my daughters were able to show the email with order number but they still thought I didnt pay for it. Northern Tool never sent me an e-receipt so I was going to have to send a photo of a bank statement to prove it, which I didnt. Finally they figured out the problem. I thought this store was a step up from Harbor Freight and easier than HomeDepot. I was wrong. I will not shop at another Northern Tool and will not suggest them to a single person I come in contact with. Very disappointed!

Northern Tool isnt as established in this area as Harbor Freight, but the quality of the merchandise at Northern Tool is worlds beyond the best HF has to offer. Unfortunately, neither of those places nor the big-box home improvement stores had the refrigeration hose I was looking for.
