Just moved back to the area from the midwest, so was definitely due for an oil change. I tried 3 places trying to find somewhere that wasnt booked up before I had to return to work the next day. Not sure if it was the desperation in my voice/face, or if they really are just amazing guys, but they squeezed me in even though they were pretty busy for the rest of the day. They were friendly, professional, and quick. They advised me that I need new wiper blades, but that they do not carry the style that is on my car. I did not get any impression of being given the runaround. Would definitely recommend The Brake Shop to anyone, and will for sure be a return customer.

You can’t go wrong with the Brake Shop! I first started bringing my vehicles to Rick and Carl almost 16 years ago. I was a single woman with a classic mustang and they never tried to take advantage of me for pricing repairs. I have recommended the Brake Shop to several people over the years and I am confident in their repairs and pricing. Carl is super knowledgeable and can locate parts like no other.

Warning to anyone who even remotely thinks about taking their car here: dont.We went here in August 2017 and had my catalytic converter replaced for $1600. Last month, I had the same check engine light come on. I brought it to the shop, and also got my oil changed. My first complaint is the oil change was $70. Thats ridiculous. Second, they couldnt determine what the issue was, yet still charged us for labor. This month, the check engine light came on again. After such a bad experience, we went to a different shop and this shop told us the catalytic converter was bad. Not sure what horrible off brand they used, but catalytic converters are supposed to last for ten years.Yes, this shop has great customer service, but I cant help feeling like I was scammed by them.

Super friendly service, had another shop work on my car and some stuff was done incorrectly resulting in a shaky steering wheel and clunking making the car pretty much undriveable. They hooked me up and got me out the door for suuuper cheap and now Im back on the road!

I had a suddenly mushy brake peddle and my normal mechanic was out of town but told me over text to get it checked out because it could be the master cylinder and could be dangerous. The Brake Shop had good reviews so I contacted them and they fit my in ASAP. I told them the issue and they checked it and found the rear brakes just needed an adjustment. I was happy with the price and the fact that I went in thinking it would be an expensive repair and they were honest and did good work for a good price. They are a full service shop (not just brakes) so I will go back for other things when my normal mechanic isnt available. :)

The guys there were attentive and even gave me a ride home while they worked on my car. Needed to replace my wheel barring as it was very very broken and dangerous for me to even be driving on. They helped me fix the issue at hand. At first i thought it was a little pricey at 425$ total for two hours at 111 an hr for labor and 1 wheel barring at 192. but i was ok with it in the end due to the quality of the prduct and work provided i got a 3 year warrenty/36000 miles if anything happens i come back and they fix for free but the part was one of the best brands and great quality they dontdo cheap which im happy about that because they dont cut corners. They were very professional and got it done in a timely matter. Thanks guys i will be back in the future.-janessa

Went to the Brake Shop for the first time on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Even though they were slammed and short handed, Carl the owner, still got my truck in and fixed. Excellent service and great price. I had already been quoted over $1200 for service from Brake Masters. Carl searched around, found some discount coupons, and completed the job for $600. I am beyond pleased with the results and would recommend The Brake Shop to anybody needing automotive service. Very professional staff. I received a complete inspection of my vehicle at no charge, I was sent a link to view my vehical inspection results with all recommend repairs. After viewing the repairs I decided to have all of the recommended work done that totalled $480.00. I was surprised to see the results from the Break Shop vs another repair shop that told me I needed over 3k in repairs. Nice to know there is still honest and reputable repair shops. They have my business going forward with all of my vehicles and I highly recommend the Break Shop👍👍👍

This shop is amazing. I literally drive all the way from the queen creek area to have them work on my vehicles. Carl at the front desk is awesome and all the guys here know their stuff. They wont try to charge you for stuff you dont need and they do quality work. They are very quick to correct any mistakes they make as long as you give them a chance too. They always complete repairs in a very reasonable amount time. Plus they have a very comfortable waiting room and clean restroom.

I was experiencing pulling and vibrating on the road. The Brake Shop got me in the same day and diagnosed the issue. It was unsafe to drive home. They directed me to a tire service that could help me the same day for no charge.

Took me a long time to get around to writing this review due to some personal hardships, but a few months back the tensioner snapped clean off and wrecked my serpentine belt. I was able to pull the car into the neighboring dollar store. The team at The Brake Shop came right over and helped me out. I really needed the car back asap so they rushed in the parts and I had my beloved Trash Car back in my hands by the next day. Several months later the repair has held up perfectly. This is a great repair shop. It seems hard to find an honest mechanic but here you dont have to worry. The staff is great and helpful. My dad and I have been using them for the past few months for any of our automotive needs and we have been more than satisfied with the work quality and prices.

I put off getting my car fixed for a while because I didn’t want to think about going to the dealership and dealing with the guys trying to sell me more or tell me I needed more done. This was the most honest and genuine experience and everyone was very friendly. Their shop was clean and the sitting area was comfortable which was a plus. Made a same day appointment for an alignment. Quick service at a decent price, car drives a lot better, and it took under an hour. Clean shop, coffee, and comfortable chairs in the waiting area.

I am compelled to let all know that The Break Shop in Mesa is hands down the best place I have ever brought my car in for repairs. Friendly, caring, clean and so much a cut above. They not only diagnosed my car problem but went out of their way to find the part needed as quickly as possible. Kept me informed along the way. As I waited for the diagnosis a number of people came in to pick up their cars. Surprisingly (not surprising any more to me!) each and every one of them seemed so happy and satisfied with the work theyd had done. I spoke with a couple of them and they both said they would not take their car anywhere else! This is not an experience Ive had in the past taking my car in for repairs. The icing was that even though the part couldnt be obtained until the next day. Offered me a shuttle home so I didnt have to find someone to come fetch me. Family owned, respectful, wonderful service. Cant thank Rick and the rest of the guys that took such wonderful care of me!!

I went and had my brakes, rotors, and an alignment on my drums and Im very very pleased with the service! Carl is very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Are they the cheapest, no, but its very well worth the money and the service and hospitality you get will make you come back again....I know where I will be coming for other services!

I am travelling in AZ from Canada and towing a 5th wheel. I had an issue with my brakes. Being a tourist I was concerned about being ripped off. I made an appointment to have my truck checked and upon arrival Carl Brown met me and I explained the problem. They took my truck in right away and did a complete 4 wheel inspection and test of my braking system. The technician Chris answered all my questions and when the truck was ready Carl explained all the work that was done. The bill was ONLY $25.00 and they worked on the truck for over an hour. My fiance took her car into this shop based on reviews here and on Yelp. She was hearing squealing in her brakes and figured she needed new ones. Shop offers a fantastic service with a feature where they email you their diagnostics with pictures included. Informed her she didnt need new brakes at this time (they were just dry). Owner called us and discussed everything. We ended up getting a few other necessary services and will absolutely return here when she does need brakes. Or any vehicle service. I cannot explain how happy I am to have found these guys. I got back from my vacation on Sunday last weekend and didnt end up driving my car until Thursday. Well, while I was driving to work I noticed my brakes were making a grinding noise - something they hadnt been doing prior to my vacation. So I did a little research and these guys were highly recommended to me by a couple of people I knew in the area. Being that we just moved here last year, I was a little skeptical because it is SO hard to find a mechanic who is trustworthy and honest. I called The Brake Shop on Thursday afternoon and got Carl on the phone. He made it so easy for me as I explained what was going on. I told him I didnt get out of work until 5pm but that I should be there before 6. He told me should I run into any issues getting there before they close to just call him back because hed stay so I could drop my car off. We got there about 5:50pm and he stayed with me to check me in and get the full detail of what was going on until almost 6:15pm. He had his guys look at my car the next day, and sure enough my front brakes were shot and I needed a new cabin air filter as well. He went through everything they found and explained in detail what needed to be done and gave me an extremely fair price for all of the work that needed to be done, so I said yes, and they had my car done around 2pm on Friday. I picked it up after work that day and I couldnt be happier with the results. My car is in tip top shape now and I wont take my car anywhere else for service. Carl and team - thank you so very much for taking good care of me...and my car!

I was referred to The Brake Shop by a friend, and it is close to my house, so I thought I would give them a try. They got my car in right away and were so helpful and friendly! I rarely write reviews, but the customer service I received was so out of the ordinary. I worked with Carl to get my brakes repaired. I had to call him back several times with questions that often ended in me saying “I need to think about it and call you back”. He never seemed bothered and gave me time to figure out what I wanted to do.We originally thought it was the master cylinder. They replaced it but that didn’t fix the problem. They had to go far into Phoenix to get the part they thought might be the problem. That was it and now my van breaks great! Even though that repair was twice as expensive and the original, they honored the original quote.I hope I don’t have a need for another repair anytime soon, but if I do, I’ll be back here!

Great service and went above and beyond to make sure my car was fixed correctly . I had an estimate from a different shop for $1,100 but The Brake shop got it done for $400! They showed me parts that didn’t need to be replaced and that saved ME money! They are fair and honest. I am about to take my mom’s car there to be repaired, she got a crazy estimate from another shop and I know she can get a better/honest deal at The Brake Shop.

Is it possible to rate them 6 stars? Ive lived a in a few areas of the country and when looking for a mechanic the MOST important thing to look for is honesty. Give me honest over cheap anyday. That is not to say these guys are expensive, theyre not, theyre fair. Outstanding service, quality, knowledge and professionalism. They take the time to let you know whats going on. Theyll try to save you money. Offered me a used gas tank instead of new because the used would work just as well. Saved me lots by diagnosing over the phone and helped me determine I could fix a problem on my own. Take your car here and be at ease with your decision. These guys are great.

Our car broke down in Mesa on the way to Albuquerque from LA and had to just google the closest shop to us. This is what came up on Google search and couldnt have been luckier! We ended up having cracked CV joints and needed a complete replacement. They were fast, friendly and affordable! Their waiting room was nice as well which was a great break from the car! I first came to the Brake Shop because it was so close to home and as a disabled women it would be an afternoon and I would take my vehicle home. Well what I thought was going to cost under Fifty dollars turned out to be over Seven hundred dollars. I explained I didnt have that kind of money being on disability and Carl and Mike and Rick were so kind and caring that they said I could keep my car on the lot until I figure what I could do to raise the money. I have not met three men more concern about my health then worried about fixing my car. I have been blessed by these men and their generosity. Thank you

Very honest!!!! The price is not cheap nor expensive, but fair. They offer to drop you to your house and pick you up when the car is ready if you dont want to wait in there. You can also see them work if you dont feel comfortable leaving the car.

Was happy they were open Saturday but disappointed with the attitude of the tech working on my truck seemed like he was limited in service and not able to get a couple of side steps installed on my truck and then front counter guy wanted to send me down the road.
