If I could give this door zero Stars it would be zero Stars. I had not been to the store in months when I went to yesterday and the manager must have confused me with somebody else when she told me to leave the store promptly or shes calling the police. Allegedly, I had been in that store week prior, according to the manager, and was caught stealing and was also trespassed! She said she recognized my bike (I did not have a bike) and my backpack which I literally just bought a few days prior. I was polite and said she must have me confused but she continue to embarrass me in front of other customers and would not let me pay for the many things in my basket and demanded I leave the store immediately. She then proceeded to dial the local police and try to have me trespassed as I left the store. Never in my life have I ever been treated so unjustly in so poorly by a manager who is dead wrong. She should be sanctioned or fired.

Customer service is usually good to hear. Everyones friendly. There are reasonable prices & sometimes youll come across some amazing deals. This place has a little bit of everything except hot food of course, & yes I felt it necessary to put that because I was asked that question by a person, apparently very hungry, at another dollar type deals. If you see something you cant live without, advice is to scoop it up quickly or you might just be out of luck. If you need to know if they have a specific item, then ask away. That place runs out of the goods pretty quickly. Not to fret though, there is one merely 2 blocks North/East (legitimate walking distance... Lol.... In a seemingly normal sized town for walking! Cheerio!

I was very shocked to see how clean and nice things were, and amazed at their selection. Only downside was isles are tight and trying to get more than one person down it at a time is nearly impossible. But overall very friendly staff and good prices.

I had the worst experience ever while shopping in the Sarno Family Dollar store the day after Thanksgiving! It was about 4pm when I went through the checkout line, purchasing a few items including a bag of ice. The cashier followed me outside to unlock the case and hand me the bag of ice I bought. At that time I noticed the propanes tank and asked for an exchange letting the cashier know I had an empty tank in my car. The cashier advised me she had to scan it and to bring it inside. So I proceeded to my car to put my items away and grab the empty tank for exchange. When I came inside the store I waited to the side because the cashier was now helping someone. While I was waiting nother cashier came up and screamed at me and told me not to have the tank in the store, even though the 1st cashier told me to bring it in. I walk the tank outside and come back inside to pay, now both cashiers are helping someone so I proceeded to wait to the side. A male (3rd worker) came up to me and tells me to be helped I need to walk around and stand in line. I advised I already went thru the line and was being helped...the 1st cashier now waived for me to come over and I began to pay for my tank exchange. The male worker then tells the cashier not to help me and that I need to leave the store. I asked if he was serious? He responded stating he was trying to help me when he wasnt helping me at all. He was harrassing me trying to make me stand in line all over again when he clearly didnt know what was going. The 1st cashier told me to bring tank inside, 2nd cashier yells at me not to bring the tank inside, then this 3rd guy was rude and denied my service! What a terrible experience!! I will now drive a little further just to avoid going in this wretched place!Funny part I went to drive thru gas station next door and got my propane tank exchanged for less money! 😃🤣 But those employees were clearly confused on tank purchase protocols making me (the consumer) completely uncomfortable and irritated I was toting a tank around. Not to add the rude jackass that didnt even know what was going on up front and denying my service. Remember this...God DOES NOT like ugly!

I am a real estate agent.I came in to check out the store on my day off so I was wearing a tee shirt and flip flops with a backpack bag, a employee walked up to me and said you cant have a back pack In here. Like what?! If I came in my work attire he would have never said anything to me. I will NEVER go back into that store again. And I will tell ALL my friends and family to NEVER shop there as well. There are toooooo many shops around here for that! I have been calling to find the store number 5x no answer. Carrying the great customer service through out! 👎

I came in because I needed to use the restroom and was also going to shop there after I was done. One restroom was designated for employees only and the other was labeled out of order. Maybe you should take down the hand written employees only sign if your only customer restroom is really out of order. Obviously I didnt end up shopping there. Maybe you guys should care about your customers more.

My aunt and cousin did not deserve to be treated in this manner . Here thier story --- on June 12th I got a call asking me to come and get someone who needed a ride.They told me where they were. So I said OK. I went to the Family Dollar Store on Sarno Rd. in Melbourne Fl. Now they have been in the store for about 20 minutes maybe longer waiting on me to get there,( I didnt even know this store was there.) I asked why she was there her reply was I walked here with the baby from the D.M.V. (thats about a mile and half from this store in the heat of the day. At least the baby was in a stroller.) So since I am in the store and they have had a chance to cool off from the walk and heat, I might as well get somethings I needed. She was still trying to find things in the store also. This store was a complete mess. The aisle were so crowded you couldnt even get a buggy through them. She was having a problem with the stroller. I couldnt find what I was looking for so I asked. The razors are by the registers go figure I one place I havent been to yet. I get what I want, Im ready so I ask the other person if she is ready to go. We are waiting in line and the Manager comes up and starts to help the other employee. The Managers name is Hope I do believe only because I heard the other employee call her name out. She calls for me to come over so I went over and she checked me out. There was a security tag on the razors and she was taking it off for me. My comment was oh thank you, nothing burns my pop tarts more than to be stopped for something like that (someone forgetting to take a tag off). My sale is complete and I turn to the other person and ask if she is ready her bill was around 35.00 and she was asking why so much. I asked her if she needed extra money she said no but I gave her the 10.00 in my hand from my change just to keep thing moving. HERE IT COME FOLKS. WE ARE WALKING OUT THE DOOR EVERYTHING IS PAID FOR AND THE MELBOURNE POLICE DEPT. TAKES THE STROLLER FROM ME ALONG WITH MY PURSE AND AS ONE COP DOES THIS TO ME THE OTHER COP IS PUTTING HANDCUFFS ON THE OTHER PERSON WITH ME. SHE IS FREAKING OUT THE BABY IS CRYING AND I AM FREAKING OUT ALSO PLUS BEING ASKED TO TAKE THE BABY OUT OF THE STROLLER.THE COPS SAID THEY WERE CALLED BY THE MANAGER AND REPORTED FOR SHOPLIFTING. THEY ALSO SAID SHE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM ALL THE TIME WE ARE IN LINE WAITING TO PAY AND AS WE WALK OUT THE DOOR. I LOOKED AT THE OTHER PERSON AND SHE IS FULL BLOWN CRYING NOW SAYING I DIDNT DO ANYTHING WHEN I GOT HERE I WENT TO THE COOLER AND GOT A DRINK AND I PAID FOR IT FIRST FOR THAT MATTER. SHE(HOPE THE MANAGER) CAME OUT OF THE STORE AND TOLD THE POLICE TO LOOK FOR A BLUE PACKAGE. THE POLICE DID THEIR JOB. THE MANAGER WAS WRONG!NOW THATS NOT THE WORST PART INSTEAD OF SAYING SHE WAS SORRY SHE TOLD THE POLICE TO PUT A TRESPASS ORDER OUT ON HER. MIND YOU SHE HASNT DONE ANYTHING WRONG THE POLICE SAID AS THE MANAGER OF THE STORE CAN CAN DO THIS FOR NO REASON. WELL THAT REALLY MADE ME MAD SO I TOOK MY STUFF BACK IN THERE AND ASKED FOR A REFUND. THE FAMILY DOLLAR STORE DOESNT DESERVE MY MONEY AND THEN I WENT AND TOOK THE OTHER PERSONS STUFF BACK IN. THE MANAGER SAID SHE WOULD NOT TAKE THE CIGS. BACK. I SAID THATS FINE BUT YOU WILL THE REST OF THE STUFF. SHE LOOK OVER AT THE POLICE AND SAID TRESPASS HER TOO. I LOOKED OVER AT THE POLICE OFFICER AND SHRUGGED MY SHOULDER. NOW I DIDNT CUSS HER OUT I WASNT NASTY IN ANY WAY. THIS STORE IS IN BAD SHAPE AND THE FAMILY DOLLAR STORE COMPANY IS NOT GOOD FOR ANYTHING. SHAME ON THE MANAGER HOPE. PLEASE SHARE THIS PEOPLE. THIS STORE DOESNT DESERVE TO BE OPEN WITH THAT WOMAN RUNNING IT AND SINCE THE COMPANY ISNT ANY GOOD FOR THEIR WORD THEY DONT NEED TO BE IN BUSINESS EITHER.

Its a Family Dollar store like all the other Family Dollar stores. Some products are cheaper than Walmart and some products are more expensive than Walmart. Know and compare prices before buying!
