Jake is incredible and helpful, great fellow. But the overall service I received was way beyond horrible. Very very bad experience.1) They damaged my wheel at 2 lug holes. I did not have any such damage on any of my wheel before. I showed it to them as its fresh damage and my expectation was they will say we will fix it now but I got mixed response fix it somewhere and bring the bill for reimbursement or we can fix it later. Why would I go again to fix issue which they introduced on first visit?2) I dont feel that I had broken lug nut with missing cap, they said it was there earlier, but when I said lets replace it and surprisingly they dont have lug nuts in stock. Wondering a tire shop with no lug nuts in stock.Anyone visiting the store should take the photos before giving your car to them.

Very Impressed with this location. I stopped and spoke with Blake who was very helpful. When I came back a few days later Joshua was just as friendly, professional and courteous.

The whole team at the Idlewild location are fantastic! I came in for an oil change and ended up finding out I had not one, but two nails in my back tire. They quickly pointed them out, showed me that both were find at the moment by using a spray to test for leaks....Could have easily told me I needed a new tire. Honest, thoughtful and experienced! I would recommend them to anyone. Great job!!

Went to Mavis, to get my brakes done. I was very happy with the job that was done, also with the service that was provided. Blake was very helpful, as well as the store manager. They also provide great prices, and are very honest. I will definitely be back, and would recommend that anyone else with car issues should also check them out!!

Fast and friendly service! I had a nail in my tire and brought my car in a little after 5:00, thinking I would need to leave it to be fixed the next day. They brought my car in right away and fixed my tire for free in about 20 minutes.

Josh and Jake seem to be a good team, and I was more than pleased with the service and honesty. After another local shop, which will remain nameless, gave me a long list of repairs my Lexus needed. Jake did a thorough examination and found that only my front tires would need to be replaced soon. None of the other repairs recommended by the other place were needed. I now plan to use this Mavis location whenever possible.

Called 30 before closing, and took us right in. Got a rock puncture a tire, and started losing pressure. They took us in no issue. While Firestone, Pep Boys, and 1 more shop siad no and they were closer to drive to. Appreciate it.

I had taken my car over for an oil change. Afterwards my check engine light turned on and had to take it back for all 4 O2 sensors to go bad, a radiator hose, water pump, thermostat housing, and a couple other pieces that all added up to $1200 with a discount. Three days after leaving my car there, they snapped a bolt and the car had to get towed to my other mechanic. Fortunately, we didn’t have to pay for the towing or the two parts they already fixed. But once my other mechanic had fixed everything and took it for a test drive, the two parts that Mavis fixed were leaking. When the final bill was supposed to be $600, it TRIPLED because they’d have to take everything back out to fix those two parts and then put it all back in. Now my grandma when over to talk to them about it and they refuse to pay for the extra $1200 for something that was their fault for something they “fixed”. I came to Mavis because the mechanic who has work on this car, a 1998 Mountaineer, for the last 16 years and he knew the car inside and out. He no longer works their and you bet they aren’t having any of my business anymore. As if money is troubling enough as is, they had to make it worse to not pay for their mistakes causing me to not use my car for a MOTNH. I suggest going to M-tech or even Firestone before EVER coming to give Mavis your money.

Made appt on Monday for 2 tires. Appt was made for Saturday at 9 am. Dropped the car off at 845 am for 2 tires on the front. It is now 2 pm and the car still does not have the tires on. The old ones are already removed so I can’t even go somewhere else to get the 2 tires I need. Was told tires was delayed arriving. Appt was made 5 days in advance. And tires are running late? How about a phone call to let me know the day of appt that my tires were not there. I could have at least had my car for running errands on my only day off work. Now I am stuck.

Mavis in Matthews NC did a terrible job. One tire blew out the next day... one tire wasnt put on the rim correctly and lost air probably causing some damage to that tire. Also, I was sold an alignment - which turns out couldnt be done because I have a bad ball joint... as of this point, Ive called Mavis in Matthews but that money hasnt been returned.

We found ourselves in a pickle after hitting something in the road. We were a mile awhile from Mavis Tire, so we chose to get the car towed to this location. We called before the tow truck arrived to make sure we could bring it to the location for a replacement tire. The guy took our information and told us to bring it in. He said they weren’t busy and could help us out. The car arrives and we’re waiting as they “inspect” the tire. In a time of social distancing, we watched over ten people and a random dog occupy the lobby that clearly is stated for no more than one customer at a time. The guy comes out and says they’re unable to fix it the tire nor do they have a tire for the car I gave them information for. He gave us no option but to leave it overnight or put a sketchy spare on the car. We were contacted the next day by the manger who had no clue about anything that had to do with our jeep. After informing the third person of our problem, he tried to up sell us on 4 brand new tires (2 of my tires are brand new) and a credit card. After declining, he said it would be ready in a couple hours. I picked my jeep up 4 hours later. My question to you is what’s the point? I’ve noticed my steering wheel is now shaking, so I’m pretty sure I’ll need an alignment after your service to my car. I felt like this place wasted our time and there’s better options out there. Save your money and time, and chose elsewhere.

I actually didn’t end of getting work here done so I can’t say anything about price or time. But the lady I spoke to, Crystal, up front, was very professional and also nice (in a genuine way). So if I did come back here, I would be comfortable because of how the customer service is ran. Also I noticed her working with another customer before me and she made sure she communicated and went out of her way for that customer

Consistently go above and beyond with their service, Ive came solely to Mavis for any issues that Ive had with my tires or brakes and they havent let me down once.

Only three stars because while they did find an issue with my tie rod (which I got fixed later at the dealership), I was advised to get all new brake hardware despite my pads having almost full life left on them. All that for a squeak in the back left brake. It turned out to be missing lubricant, a 15 dollar fix. Nice try.

Always pleasant doesnt matter what state I have used locations in NJ and never a problem. Now Im in NC and have had the same pleasant experience.

First and foremost, Ill go ahead and state that I have a huge trust issue with shops. Coming from the dealership industry, Ive witnessed firsthand, employees with a complete disregard for your car and property.You most certainly wont find any of that here!I have a 2014 mustang that serves as a dual-purpose track car. 100% of my suspension is aftermarket so Im unfortunately used to dealers and other shops using that as an excuse to charge more or flat out refuse service. Right from the get-go, Gary professionally answered the phone and answered my smorgasbord of questions about how lowered car friendly his alignment rack was, if they could align my car to specs that Id provide, and numerous other inquiries. He inspired confidence in me and an appointment was set.Upon arrival, all of the staff was very friendly and respectful! Its obvious that theyre all car people and for those unaware, car people are technical and knowledgeable by nature and they take pride in their work. Throughout the entire alignment experience, (Using their super lowered car friendly In-ground alignment rack) they chatted with me, all the while demonstrating 100% transparency in what they were doing, keeping me updated the entire time. Following the service completed, the technician pulled my car out quietly and without drama and I was checked out in a timely manner. Driving the car, it tracks straight as an arrow! Ben did a great job and Ill be back without hesitation!Having an aftermarket car you love, youre far more unwilling to trust just any shop with it. I can safely say that after my first experience at this Mavis discount tire location, they managed to quell my apprehensions and Ill be back whenever I need service I cant manage to do myself! If youre on the fence about Mavis on Idewild, give them a try, I promise! You wont be disappointed!

I was losing air in my tire. I had stopped at NTB to have it checked out. They didn’t bother to take the tire off just said they didn’t see anything and put air in it. Two days later I had the same issue. I stopped at Mavis without calling and Crystal worked me in to have my tire checked out. She was so kind and helpful! Needless to say, they took the tire off and found a nail in it. It was fixed within minutes! The whole team here is awesome and I will use them for all my car needs going forward! My car started making noises on 485, and I just pulled off to the closest shop. They were open for about 30 more minutes. I asked if they wouldn’t mind just to look at it to see if I could make it about another hour. I was worried with it being right before closing, and with them working on other vehicles, they were not going to have tome. They did so without any problem at all. Everyone was so friendly. They took my car back, and identified the problem immediately without charge. I received the advice from not 1, but 3 mechanics complimentary. The front desk was just as nice. This shop is about 30 minutes from my house. I will drive past dozens of other shops getting here. But, I will undoubtedly take all of my vehicles here in the future. Thank you for being so kind to me, and for helping me with my car at the most inconvenient time. My family will be back!

After I was treated very rudely at Firestone, I started going to these guys a year or two ago. Havent had a lot of work done since I maintain my own vehicles, just been in for tire work, inspections & cooling system flushes. They have always treated me like family. I needed a battery and Brian went the extra mile to make sure I had the right one. He took the time to call Interstate Battery to confirm the one he had in stock was the correct battery. It was not - since it it has to install under my back seat, it has to have proper vents on the sides to prevent over-heating. He ordered the correct battery and it was delivery in about an hour.
