Bill and his crew are wonderfulTo work with. I was originally going to replace old carpet with oak planks but with 3 boys and 2 dogs Bill suggested I consider Shaw LVP for its indestructible nature. We went with the high grade wide plank distressed Shaw LVP and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen refinish to match is perfect and the carpet runner could t be nicer. I highly recommend using this local, custom design flooring company over a big box store.

BCAL Flooring repaired and replaced wood flooring that had been damaged by a water leak, then refinished all of our hardwoods throughout the house so it all matched. You cannot tell where the wood was replaced and our floors, which are 20 years old, look like new. They were easy to work with and their cost was affordable.

The lumber for our bedroom was brought in to acclimate to our home, the crew was friendly and relatively easy to work with. Any concern that I had were easily addressed. Bill’s guys showed up to start work as scheduled on the day after we bought our house. They immediately discovered all kinds of problems with concealed water damage. It was a total nightmare, but Bill helped get us through the repairs and finished the floors in time for us to move in before we had to be out of our old house, and at a fair price.

Bill is a super nice man whom we contracted to install carpet in our home. The day of installation, an old unmarked truck pulls up in the driveway, after parking a older man (lead/ Forman)gets out of the truck and proceeded to try and unlock the back of the van and seems to be having trouble unlocking the door to let the install crew out, this went on for about 3 min. Once the crew of three got out of the van, they proceeded to attempt to enter the house without laying any material on the wood floors as they enter the house (day of installation was raining) The crew then proceeded to lay the material in the wet grass. Once we get pass those issues, one of the workmen must have had bad food the night prior went into a bathroom, no need to elaborate, the BR was one that was identified as off limits as it has articles stored while the carpet was being installed (the guest BR was located on the 1st Fl)The worker proceeded to remove window screen to throw the old carpet out the window into the front yard ( never asks if it was ok to remove screens). As the morning progressed and the workers continued to work they laid a thinner pad than what was ordered and when questioned they insisted it was the thicker padding. I attempted to speak with the Forman, but found out he had left to go get the carpet as the truck they arrived in was only large enough for the workers and the padding. I instructed the install team to cease all work until someone could speak to me in English, there seem to be somewhat of a language problem. During this ordeal, I contacted Bill explaining the issues we were having and he apologized and explained he could not make it to the site until the afternoon, later after he realized I was truly unhappy he was able to come to the site. As it turned out it was the wrong padding and all the padding that had been laid had to be taken up. Once the Forman returned with the carpet he also had the correct padding. I could go on about the unprofessional install team, but I think I’ve made my point. Once the job was completed, they left what could not fit in the van on the curb in front of the house, I refused final payment until it was removed.End result was the carpet installed? Yes, was I happy? well it looks better than what was removed. Lesson learned pay the additional money, in my case it was about $800 and go with a known carpet company.Would I recommend this company, I’m sorry but I have to say No, again Bill is super nice, but Bill does not do the installation.

BCAL Flooring installed a non pre-finished hardwood floor on my main floor 16 years ago. The job was done professionally and as promised. Over the years I have referred several of my friends to BCAL and they have had work sucessfully done. This past fall I needed to replace my flooring upstairs. I contacted BCAL and they were still in business. I had a pre-finished hardwood floor put in my master bedroom and hallway. The hardwood crew did the entire job in 1 day and actually a few days ahead of schedule. Carpet was put in the other 3 bedrooms and the carpet guys did it in a half day and that included moving the large pieces of furniture. I had just a few scratches done to the walls on both jobs which is to be expected. So far all is good with both floors and I am very satisfied with both jobs!
