Great work, good price

I took my car to him to get it fixed after the tire came off and caused my power steering line to go out. He assured me he would be able to work on it the next day or the day after. That seemed great. I dropped my car off and called the next day to see if he was able to get it in that day. He said he should be able to have it done the next day by 3 or sooner. No problem. I called the next day, the Fourth of July to see if he was able to get it done sooner. He wasn’t and told me it would be done by 3. So I went and ran errands and he called me about 2:30 to let me know it was done. I picked it up and because it was a holiday, my family and I were going out of town. We drove 1.5 to my father in laws and I noticed about 20 minutes away from my father in laws house that the car was having a hard time turning in the direction. This was concerning. But I had no phone signal and we were out in the middle of nowhere. We got to my father in laws house and had a mechanic look at it. That’s when I realized the shop had made a mistake. The mechanic found a rag tapped to the bottom to prevent power steering fluid from leaking onto the ground that was coming from the power steering line. Not the pump. The power steering line had not been tightened. Causing The pump to lose all fluid and the pump went bad. Causing our belt to bend. The mechanic tightened the line but by then it was too late. We had no way home and no where to stay for the night. So the mechanic fixed it so we could try to get it home. On the way home the belt snapped and left me and my husband on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck 30 minutes from home. I am 36 weeks pregnant (9 months) and we were stranded from 1:30 am to 8:30 am. Had he tightened the hose properly my car would be in working condition. It now needs tons of money in repairs. When we called to inform him of the mistake he made and asked him to make it right he laughed and never came to get the vehicle to fix it even though he said he would send a tow truck out to get it so he could take a look at it. He also said he was rushed which is why he didn’t tighten it. And even though I did not rush him, that is not a valid excuse to do this to someone’s vehicle. I would never do business with him again and I plan to sue him in small claims courts. I have videos and pictures of the work and damage he did.
