Best shoe shopping experience Ive ever had. Bob helped me with my running shoe fit. I have a ton of requirements (stability, wide 1st toe knuckle and just large feet in general). Bob worked with me until we found a shoe that fit just right. He even helped me find a high quality flip flop that gives support. I WILL 100% come back if I need running shoes. Also their athletic wear for women is so great. Really cute clothes.

We have been there twice. They are some of the rudest people I have ever met. We try to shop local businesses to help out the community. However, these people need a class on how to talk to customers. My wife believes its because we are not runners and think we wont buy anything. Well my wife has foot issues and her doctor recommended them. The first time we ignored the rudeness and brought a pair of shoes from them any way. She wanted a pair in white this time so we went back last week. He told us that model doesnt come in white. That was fine, but it was the way he said it. It was like we were bothering him. Well it happened again, this time we walked out because the older man was so rude. Well, we found the model shoes on line in white.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. First experience getting fitted for running shoes. I was assisted in finding a pair of Hoka shoes that are extremely well constructed and actually make walking more enjoyable.

I recently had surgery and my child whom recently graduated from collage was home visiting since COVID19 closed her campus prior to her finishing up this year. We had a really eventful 2020, her feet has been bothering her for years and she has been to several therapist but upon coming to Slidell she as referred to Varsity Sports Mandeville to get fitted for shoes to help with her condition. I really wasnt feeling well and still in pain after only being several days in recovery from have two surgeries, from the start the environment was welcoming, I was able to have a seat and observe the salesmen help her and give her advice on what was best for her condition. He went through several shoes and allowed her to try them on as well as showing her what inserts would best work for her. I really appreciate the warm hospitality in a time when I was not in the best of health or a position to be 100% you never know how a kind gesture or friendly invite makes a world of difference in someone life when going through other things.

What a fantastic store. I was initially intimidated to go in because I am a new runner and still working on getting back to shape, so I was afraid of being judged..... boy was I wrong, it was complete opposite. EVERYONE was extremely helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of shoes and apparel.

The best running shoe store in the area!! They were super patient and worked with me for over a week while I worked my way through three pairs of shoes until I found the right one for where I am right now in my running. And that wasnt an easy task--believe me. Im running through some injuries (both running and non-running related), am increasing distance, and am seriously flat-footed, yet they managed to find the perfect shoe for what Im trying to accomplish. I ended up in a pair of Saucony Hurricane 22s and I couldnt be happier!!! And even though I was skeptical when Nichole suggested a half size larger to deal with foot swelling after the first couple of miles, they ended up being the perfect size. In fact, the farther I run, the better they feel.

Great!! I ordered a pair of running shoes. Bud made sure they fit correctly since I have a brace on one foot/leg he showed me how to tighten the other to secure it. I will definitely recommend them and be back.

I’m sorry to leave a negative comment. As an old A/C tech suffering from mold toxicity. I have a habit of checking out the supply & return air grilles. Their grilles here are covered with MOLD... Please invest in a professional duct & HVAC system cleaning.

If you want the best fit in running shoes, Varsity Sports is a MUST! I am a Nurse practitioner and VS fit me into a pair of HOKAS and its the best work shoe that I have ever owned!

Always great service with knowledgeable staff who take the time to get you the shoe you need. They never try to upsell or push certain brands. They want you to leave with the shoe thats right for you. Ive bought at least 25 pairs of shoes there and each time I go I get treated right. A couple times the staff put up with me while I tried on about 15 different brands and sizes. I finally settled on a pair. They never make me feel like Im burdening them by trying on several brands & sizes. The employees are all runners & all are experts on their products & on running in general. Highly recommend.

Ginger( who took care of me) was very knowledgeable and explained what footwear would be right for my problem of Plantar Facheitis. I highly recommend these folks for anyones footwear and they had other cool stuff there that I didnt have time to check out.

Everybody had been telling me how I must go here since I had starting running. I put it off and put it off until i was having a ton of pain while running. Finally i went in as a last shot at seeing if this would help. A young man helped me watched me walk got me fitted, informed me I was wearing to small a shoe and wrong type for my feet. Ive been running in these shoes the past week and from the first mile until the last one today they have changed the game. I didnt believe it would make much of a difference but I was wrong. This is where i will be going for my running needs. Highly recommended to give it a go.
