I was told when I entered the store someone would help me.After completing a walk through the same lady asked me, Did someone help you? I told her no as I was preparing to leave the store.She turned to another seated female and inquired, I thought you were going to help her? The other female responds, I am doing an important project.I observed three seated staff members and another walking around with a customer. I have been curious about this store and that is no longer an issue.

I purchased a set of study room furniture 20 years ago, I am still waiting for the drawer knobs. I called and went to the store and complained to the BBB. Both Mr. Shubert and the other female manager confirmed me that they shipped the knobs. They firmly stated they had shipped verbally and in writing response to the BBB. But where are they? A very simple issue, but they both behaved that Im a liar and I should go out of the door. Never been treated like that as a customer.Still not happy 20 years later. My son was just born that time and busy at work. so, I forgot it for a while until things slowed down and saw the mismatching door knobs the other day. Im sure that Ill miss the knobs for my whole life, and they wont change a bit of their opinion that Im a liar.

Schubert design furniture is the best! They have a great selection. Their designers are wonderful. If youre looking for traditional, fine furniture this is the place to go. When I was looking to decorate my home I checked all the furniture stores and the prices and quality here were outstanding. They are my first choice.

CONSUMER BEWARE!! Shubert Design will STEAL your money!!In February 2020, I purchased a 63 oval table and 4 chairs that was a floor model on clearance for $1399 plus $95 for delivery. However, after returning home and measuring our space again we realized it would not fit. I called Shubert and was told I could not cancel my order because it was a final sale. So I agreed to purchase a smaller yet more expensive table and that did not come with chairs. They told me the table was shipping from Las Vegas and would arrive in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks I tried to contact Shubert and received an automated email stating they were closed for COVID. I understood and waited patiently for 3 more months until the end of May to inquire again.At that time the office manager Kirsten Wyman told me that the table was no longer for sale and I could order one to be built from scratch but it might take months to get it would cost even more money.I was SHOCKED that Shubert sold me a table that was not theirs to sell in the first place and moreover never contacted me to tell me. At this point I did not trust they were being honest and requested my money back. They REFUSED! stating that because I signed a no return clause they did not have to give me my money back. The manager actually hung up on me and they have not responded to any of my emails since. They stole over $1400 from me and my family. To this day I still have not received a table or a refund.Very disappointing, Jennifer Severado

The store had a lot of high quality furniture. The store was clean and not difficult to find. Staff was friendly and professional. There were discount on several items in the store. They are one of few store in St Louis that still sell genuine leather furniture. They had several Natuzzi leather sofa and couch. I ended up bought a set from them. I was happy with their service.

Estelle was very rude and quick to show us the door. I guess my son and I were not dressed nice enough coming straight from baseball practice. We are very happy to take our entire furniture budget of our remodel elsewhere. Good learning experience for my son though on how NOT to treat people. We will never go back.

We are so impressed by Farida, one of Shubert’s designers. From the moment she welcomed us when we ‘wandered in’ to browse, and she came to our home to measure, and she quickly provided recommendations for furniture and fabrics that are excellent. She perfectly aligned our taste with her recommendations. We’ve browsed every showroom in STL, and Shubert’s selection is the best. PLUS, Farida was able to order items for us that I had seen in interior decorating magazines, and we purchased them with Shubert’s discount. Farida is very impressive.

I have begun the process of completely redecorating two rooms - greatroom and sitting room - in our house. The first step for me is to spend some time shopping local stores (Dau, Shubert, Carol House, Phillips, etc.) to see whats out there right now and what kind of advise I can get from their in-house decorators and/or sales people.Shubert was my third stop. I walked into their store around noon today (4/25/16) with a $15,000 budget ready to shop. I think I was the only customer in the store. I was greeted by a young woman who asked if there was anything in particular I was looking for. I told her why I was there -- shopping for furniture to redecorate two rooms.She said, and i quote, OK, well feel free to look around and if you have any questions, let me know. And then she turned and walked away. Clearly, if I had any questions, I was expected to go find her. I wandered around for a while and spotted a sofa that looked like the perfect style (not easy to find as I am not interested in mid-20th century retro or oversized leather.)I wondered what upholstery choices were available for it. Unfortunately, there was no one I could ask unless I wanted to make my way back through the store in an attempt to find the sales person and lead her back to the sofa.I started back toward the front where I first encountered her and realized what working with a furniture store that had that little interest in customer service would probably be like. So I left.
