I came upon this shop by chance due to a bolt lodging itself into my tire while driving through downtown, and it was the least stressful car service experience I’ve ever had. Ralph is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He was able to see me immediately and I was out in less than half an hour. Fair price, excellent service! I highly recommend this shop!

Ralph and the team are fantastic - Ive been going here for about 20 years and my husband for longer. They do a great job. As a young woman I often felt stressed at other repair shops, like I was being talked down to, brushed off, and sometimes outright lied to. (My husband has also had nightmares at other repair shops.) But at Brutus, Ive always felt respected and like I was getting a good job and honest assessment about whatever my cars have needed.

I moved to Manchester in 2017 and soon needed a reliable mechanic. I originally went to a business in West Manchester and was initially happy with them. However, I had need of a fair amount of work on my truck and their quote was crazy.I went to Brutus on the recommendation of a business associate of my wifes, and they quoted me a price that was one-third what the business in West quoted me for the exact same work. I have used Brutus services many times since then and they have earned my business for as long as Ill need auto repair services.Their service manager Kevin is outstanding. Polite, comprehensive, open, and willing to offer alternatives. The owner, Ralph, is just a heck of a guy. I had to get my oil changed for my 2012 Civic, and the price after a quick change was around $45, it took them less than one hour to complete! I also needed a new starter for my car and came in around Friday evening, and by Monday mid-day I was driving again. The total for a new starter was around $500. Im from New York so the quotes seemed more than fair to me, plus the guy at the front desk (Kevin) is friendly and transparent.

Mechanics try to overcharge on parts. Incredibly rude and unprofessional when called out on trying to take advantahe of customers customers. Asked for a detailed quote and was told that the part would be $380, when looking up that same part it was $120.

Very accommodating and friendly. It’s hard to find a mechanic that you feel comfortable with. I can’t stand when auto shops overcharge you and try and do a lot of unnecessary work. Great first experience. I’ll definitely come back!

Walked in for an inspection, someone was at the counter to greet me with kindness. They took my truck in the bay for inspection. All the while letting me and my 2 dogs wait in their comfortable lounge. The inspection only took a few minutes and the profession mechanic provided details about the minimal things that were noticed. I would highly recommend them for future service. They not only do vehicle inspections, but many other services as well. Great for those living or working in the downtown area. Just drop your car off, do your chores around town, then come back for it later. Easy and affordable!! Thanks crew!!

These guys are incredibly friendly and honest. They even came to my work and picked up the car from there since I couldn’t take time off, AND brought it back to me afterward without an extra charge! When discussing their findings they were very straight forward and offered suggestions for my next steps. I will never take my vehicle anywhere else again. I went to Brutus recently with a 2008 Cadillac CTS and got the quickest diagnosis and best pricing for high quality parts and the best quote on labor anyone in town offered and I shop hard.Thank you guys... I need an O2 sensor and Speed sensor for inspection and theres no way I am going anywhere else.

I was referred to Brutus from a tire place in Londonderry. I had a badly damage rim and a new rim would have been very costly. Brutus fixed my rim within a day which is the time frame they promised. We dealt with Kevin who was great. Even my tire place thought the job they did was phenomenal. I highly recommend them.

I was highly recommended to come to Brutus by my roommate. Ralph was so great to me, I needed to get a car inspection for a used car that I was going to be potentially buying and Ralph answered so many of my questions patiently and thoroughly. The private party who was selling their car to me was not very trustworthy, had many red flags and Ralph helped me identify those and also told me to walk away from the deal so I wouldnt waste money on a car and also on an inspection. This really was a great sign, seeing he couldve charged me for the inspection and not cared that the private party was trying to take advantage of me. Recommend this place to anyone who may not know much about cars or college students! They are honest and EXTREMELY helpful. Definitely will be coming back.

Ive struggled to find knowledgeable, honest service for an 18 year-old Jeep. At one point, I considered selling it because it was such a struggle, not to mention very expensive, to find someone who understands and can repair it. I wanted to take a moment as the owner of this company to respond to the negative review written by Thomas. I would typically never do anything like this and respond but as I strive to provide excellent customer satisfaction upon completion of the work and value my reputation in the community I felt it necessary. It is very disheartening to have someone who has NEVER been our customer (we keep a detailed data base) write a review. I believe that this is an auto salesman who was trying to sell a used vehicle to a customer of mine. The customer brought the vehicle to the shop for us to inspect before purchasing. This gentlemen was supposedly the one and only owner of this vehicle but could not answer simple questions regarding the car such as who did the timing belt (was unable to provide any maintenance records), who tinted the windows, who went to the college that was stickered on the car and who was a member of the United States Marines (also stickered on the vehicle). Ultimately in the end the customer decided to pass on the vehicle as they were not comfortable with the transaction. I will always stand by my customer and will always be truthful and honest. I have never made a customer with an appointment wait over 1 1/2 hours to be brought in and have NEVER closed the blind. I ALWAYS invite my customers back into the bay to look for themselves, take pictures and ask any questions they may have (and in this circumstance did the same as both the seller and potential buyer came back) . I have been a proud business owner for over 17 years and value each and every customer. I have some of the best customers around.
