Ed is a great salesman and is very knowledgeable about his products. His manager Cory was very accommodating and I would highly recommend them both. Delivery of furniture was top notch and timely. I couldnt have been more happy with the entire process.

The saleswoman was great, the manager was too. My problem was with the delivery staff. They kept trying to push the refrigerator into the door and put scratched and dent in the front and sides of the fridge.My son got home, turned the fridge around and got it in the house just fine.Cory the manager was really nice. We didnt want to return it after all that, my son just wanted to get it in the house and get it cold. Hed been without a fridge for a week.I got $200 back. You need to train your delivery personnel better

My experience @ schewel has always been a good one. Have bought sofa bed, recliner couch, mattress & box spring. NO PROBLEMS WITH THERE SERVICES.I have used different sales associate because i wanted them to benefit from the items that i purchased.

We were greeted at the front door cheerfully and told if we needed any help that he was available to help in any way.The Store was clean and decorated beautifully in groupings with accessories that gave you an idea of how it would look in your own home.The Sales men were helpful, kind, and knowledgeable.The lady that wrote up my Contract was very kind, friendly, and answered my questions about financing knowledgeable.The Lane Leather sofa and Coffee and end tables I decided on getting were quality furniture and I think I got an AWESOME Deal.

We love Schewels! Great selections and great people. We have used a sales associate named Linda for three separate buys this year and she is top notch, as are all the others who have served us there. They have an amazing 5 year extended furniture warranty that if not used you get your money back! Honestly, it seems foolish not to shop around but with internet you can walk in knowing what you want and what the going price will likely be. Therefore, we dont even bother to shop around, its not worth the time and hassle. We give them our highest rating!

I remember Schewel Furniture from in the 60s. I shopped there prior to moving to Michigan in 1969. My family also shopped there .I moved back to Lyncjburg in 2018. I find the quality and customer service to be superb.

The employees at Schewels Home Furniture showed my husband and I the highest levels of hospitality yesterday. We were shown two wonderful sofas, in which it was our desire to purchase; and Mr. Orlanda went above and beyond showing us the controls and how to operate each function! I’ve never felt so welcomed to walk the floors of any company before! Two thumbs up!!

I will never again purchase anything else from Schewel. Ive basically furnished my home from there. This last purchase of nearly 6000.00has been a real headache 😪 and the arrogant manager Cory is my biggest issue. Once this purchase is payed off Ill find some place else to spend my hard earned money. I will be going to friends and family to let them know dont do business with Schewel. I will be contacting the corporate office as well as BBB .The sales person were very pleasant and helpful but the store manager has no business dealing with the public period. Rude disrespectful arrogant individual I never want to have anything to do with.

I went to Schewels to look at furniture on my lunch break. I was limited on time and I told that to the gentleman helping me. He had such a sense of urgency that he wrote everything up for me so quickly. I really wanted the furniture delivered that day and the manager/owner Corey said he would deliver that day for me. He did not hesitate! He showed up with 2 young guys to help take away my old furniture and move in the new. Dylan and there was another young man that helped. They were so kind, helpful, so willing to help me since I just moved into an apartment with my son. The best service I have EVER received at any retail store in Lynchburg!! After shopping at every furniture store within a 50 mile radius, and receiving my furniture. I can confidently say Schewels is the best place to by furniture in the area. I bought a genuine leather Sofa and recliner. Besides the amazing and patient customer service from Ed and manager Corey. The quality and price were spectacular. Highly recommended.

I’ve had two great experiences at this store. My first visit was a few months ago to find living room furniture for my mom and grandmother. They were very happy with the service and their purchases. This week I went back for a piece of art I’ve had my eye on, and I ended up with that plus a new bedroom suit, all for a great price! Olanda is a professional and kind salesman, comfortable to work with. Ty was efficient and super helpful with my paperwork and payment and said I could call them for help if I had any problems assembling the bed frame. The store manager Corey was warm and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase- he even gave me a new drawer knob to replace one I broke while taking the dresser home. My dad greatly appreciated the help all 3 of them gave us with loading the furniture in his truck. These guys really do it all! Schewels has lovely furniture, but the wonderful people who work at the Timberlake Rd location truly make it a special store.

Overall satisfied with the general sales service. However, was very disappointed with the purchasing process. It was assumed that I was using their credit service. However, I was not asked, nor apprised of any associated terms. I was simply asked to fill in some information on a clipboard, which I assumed was for general purchase information. When I made further inquiry as to why all the information was being requested, including their insisting name and contact information for two close relatives and/or friends, I was met with very limited and curt response. Extremely unprofessional.I never received an apology for the assumptions made by the store personnel nor the attitude associated.

The department store its self was Great. They had a wonderful selection to choose from.. the salesmen were great for the most part except for ours seemed like he was rushing us so I didnt even buy all I wanted to, but the manager made up for it by allowing a delivery fee 0f 100.00 to be taken off.Now the reason Im giving 3stars instead of four is because the delivery and set up to my home was horrible 🙃 They didnt come with tools, they broke my window, put horrible gouges in my door, and took my drill with them.

We were looking for a sofa for our living room. We ended up buying the Kananwood Oatmeal Sofa. Everyone was very helpful. There were lots of options for sofas. We had Garrett help us check out, and he was nice. The place did have the kind of big-business feel, which Im not the biggest fan of, but other than that the place was great.

Great experience. They were very busy but didnt rush our shopping. Linda was patient and kind helping to meet all our needs. At checkout Garret was kind and talked with us explaining the charges, answering all of our questions, as well as the free delivery!

The only thing that bothered me is that the items that I buy are always 2-4 weeks out before they are delivered. The Staff at this store makes up for the difference though, so it is what it is. I recommend this branch to all my friends and family.

I have been a customer of Schewels since 2016. I have found the customer service great. Very friendly and outgoing customer service reps that is ready to assist and help you. You do not have to feel pressured. A great selection and variety of merchandise. They stand by the products that they sell and will always honor the agreement between there customer and the store. This is why I always comes back whether it is for furniture, lawn equipment, or other household items that they sale.

Easy to deal with. I do have a problem with the piece, but they are sending a repair person to take care of my issue.

The gentlemen that waited on us was very nice,but iasked a lady directions to restroom and she was vague on where it was and when I came out I went into the office area and she was curt and rude.

I walked in ready to spend money and not one person asked me for help. I stayed looking around for 20 minutes to see if anyone would help me. This is the first time I’ve walked into Schewels and no one has approached me asking if I needed help. Is this what customer service is? It was as if I was being avoided (I am highly disappointed and I am not impressed). I will not be returning, this location lost money today.

Absolutely very welcoming!!! I was in there looking for a bedroom set was in there for about 35 minutes they helped me find my bedroom set and then got all my financial things figured out! Highly recommend them!!!!

Im not sure how old Schewels is but I am 75 and a lot of my family shopped at Schewels and I never heard a complaint from anyone.Every now and then our family still occasionally find a toy bought from Schewels as a Christmas present. My dad worked at Strother Drugs and my mother loved Schewels. After Christmas when the toys were on sale in those two places my parents would shop for next years presents and hide them.

Professional and very knowledgeable. Extremely friendly but made you feel like you were the only one in the store.

Easy as pieto get what I needed

It had been a while since Id done business with Schewels. Had to wait until I was in position to. But its always worth it. I bought an adjustable bed. Waiting for it to arrive.

The salesman ; larger fella ; lied to me trying to sell a warranty with the furniture swearing up and down it wouldnt cost me anything, or affect my payment. Got to the front he finally admitted it was 100$ upcharge. I told him i didnt want any warranty on a 180 $ side table that cost more than half the price of what im buying. He looked very upset and stormed off afterwards. Nothing like a dishonest salesman, ill never be shopping here again.

Great service, salesman was very helpful, easy checkout prices. I would like to add that we had the opportunity to speak today with the store manager, Corey (hope spelling is correct) and we just want everyone to know if you have any concerns or questions or problems this gentleman is as nice and accommodating as any store manager we have ever encountered. We highly recommend this store and have found that everyone we have encountered there has your best interest at heart. I wish I could recall the names of the other folks we have spoken with.

The sales associate who helped us in the bedding department was excellent. The associate who helped us check out and collect payment, however, was not. She was rude and approached the customer in front of her with a condescending attitude like she was doing me a favor by taking my money.

Amazing job by the entire staff, Corey the mgr made it so easy. We had bought a living room group that just did not live up to the reputation the manufacturer had. Long story short Schewels no longer carries it and I had been trying for a year almost to get someone to deal with my issues, then we were in looking for another piece of furniture and ended up meeting Corey, he was so polite and easy, he apologized for all our issues even though they were not any of his doing. My wife and I are very happy with his decision to take care of our issue and in turn I will always give Corey and his staff 5 stars and suggest you go see him. I purchased a living room set back in July and unfortunately the order never got received by the manufacturer. I completely understand things happen, look it’s 2020 Covid-19 and this year has been full of the unexpected! Schewels has made things right and I upgraded my furniture order to different set and I’m very pleased with the outcome. I still have to wait of course for my special order furniture but again as expected. Downfall, I just wish we didn’t have to start paying on furniture we haven’t received yet!

I have a newly built home and i need every 9 rooms to be furnished and its been stressful going from one furniture store to many others. I went into Schewels being greeted by a salesman named Richard. He was very inviting not overbearing and let us know about the sales i explained my situation what i needed and he led the way giving expert and personal suggestions. He advised us in the best way as if it was his home he was decorating. Very patient and informed on whatever question we had. Coming in i didnt know where to began but leaving i had selected and purchased more there for just about every room. The manager Cory gave me an excellent price for my daughters bedroom set and threw in free delivery. Im a single mom and each dollar counts. Thanks guys

We ordered furniture March 2019 and just received Christmas Eve 2020. Delivery was late with no courtesy call letting us know they were running late. Used to deal with Schewels all the time with no issues, it’s gone down hill!!!
