Definitely my favourite breakfast/coffee shop in Long Beach. Great omelettes, scrambles, and Benedicts, friendly staff, happy customers, nice music, big windows, and really old school LB vibes. And huge portions! Reminds me of a comfy flannel on a cool Sunday morning. This place always helps make the day brighter. (The photo is a split portion!!!)

Very disappointed in my meal. I ordered the burger and was served very old stale hard brrad bun. The meat was soaked in thousand island dressing. The potatoe salad also tasted old. I did not bother to eat the fruit as it dis not looked fresh. I paid $15.00 for a meal i could not eat. I will not be coming back.

First time here, and it was amazing! Great staff, fresh and tasty food, and nice ambience. The waitress was super cool and explained me the foods and drinks. Food was prepared very on-time and in a good manner. I enjoyed the bar table but it was comfortable due to lower height than an actual bar table.I will come back again here!

Absolutely delicious breakfast! We had the huevos rancheros and yum! So much food it definitely will fill you up! There are many options on the menu, so everyone will find something they like. Friendly service. Parking was challenging but worth the effort.

First time in the area and I was looking for a breakfast spot. There were a bunch of choices but Egg Heaven caught my eye. I grabbed my laptop (so I could work for a bit) and headed over. I ordered a Wanderlust Omelette. It comes with potatoes and toast (I opted for an English muffin). If my potatoes looked burnt its because I asked for it that way. I added jalapenos to my omelette for a bit of a kick. Everything was delicious, right down to the toast. I also had Joses Vanilla Coffee...mmm yummy.I was there for about 2 hours. I thought my waitress was going to kick me out but she kept filling my coffee and couldnt be nicer. Ill definitely be back.

CASH ONLY!! they do have an ATM on site but just wanted to make that clear as it wouldve been nice to know in my case. this place was hands down one of the best breakfast spots in Long Beach. if the pictures arent enough i hope this review is. you definitely want to look at their daily specials the omelettes are also top notch. i highly suggest that you go here for breakfast

OK, I have found my new breakfast spot. Hands down the best place in Long Beach! I dont care where you live in California or the neighboring States, the breakfast burritos alone are worth the Trip! The Salsa is made from scratch daily and is life. Seriously great food and even greater staff! Priced right and family friendly! Love this place!!

I grew up in egg heaven since 1972. I went in there the summer for breakfast and the vibe is gone because the music is not the same. The music was always Janis Joplin, three dog night, Joni Mitchell, the stones, The Beach boys etc the music thats playing in there is from when I was in grammar school instead of being in my twenties. Some of my friends painted the ceiling panels you see on the ceiling . My friend Shawn did the decoupage on the first bar area I hated the music when I went in there it took away the vibe of the hippie days when egg heaven was first opened till now. It felt more like a Mexican restaurant than it did a breakfast and lunch restaurant. I dont mind the food but the music is horrible. Its not hippie music theyre playing some other stuff from way before. The hippie generation. Its more like music of the fifties and early sixties which takes away the hippie vibe. Had a great eggs Benedict from this place. Ive come here several times and Ill be back again. Theres a lot of great options on the menu. Ive had several omelettes, the huevos rancheros, and the eggs Benedict. Never been disappointed.

I ordered country fried steak and eggs...the food is awesome. Seating isnt that great. Parking is pretty gnarly. But the customer service and food is GREAT.

Found this place by chance during a morning walk. It was my lucky day. I’m always on the lookout for a good breakfast burrito and they didn’t disappoint. After walking home, just under a mile, the food was still hot. The coffee was excellent and so was the service. Looking forward to coming back and trying more things on the menu. Definitely coming back for more Breakfast Burrito.

I just paid for, and left my Carnitas taco and bacon wrapped hot dog from their Mexican nighttime restaurant, $8.50 for a hot dog that was burnt, broken in half and nasty and 1 street taco that had less than 30% of meat than the worst Ive ever seen... do not waste your time when there are so many excellent Mexican food places close by... I literally just handed it back and walked away...

The Covid menu isnt consistent with the serving portions of the food. Sometimes Ive received one slice of toast (cut in half), and other times 2 slices. (Same with the french toast servings). Maybe its restaurant policy or different cooks. Breakfast burritos, however, consistently delicious!!

I love this place. Soon as you walk in your greeted by the freindly waitress and prompted to take a seat where you would like. The walls are covered with unique artwork and an arry of diffrent decorations that create a wonderfull enviorment upon entering. The food is amazing with a decent price considering the portion you get. The best thing about this place is the at home feeling you get and the quiet relaxed feeling you get while eating there. Super friendly, like family type atmosphere. The chef greeted us and cooked us amazing quesadilla breakfast. Too big for one person so we split it !! prices were perfectly paired with the amount of food you get.

Its a small, rustic corner cafe but definitely worth the price. Their menu items range from 5-15 bucks, which isnt too bad when you have a small appetite and can save half the dish for a second meal later. I got the all American omelette, which was really good and served with a similar portion of hashed browns

In all the years Ive lived in LB I cant believe I never made it over here. Its been on this corner forever (well, the 70s) and looks it, but not in a bad way. Its small but not too cramped. Its always a good idea to get to any breakfast place early, so we made the journey down here before 9am one Saturday morning and had no problems getting a table.

Not bad at all. Actually pretty good. I came here on a Saturday around 0930 and there was no wait. Parking looks a little sparse because its literally a neighborhood diner. The breakfast burrito was recommend so I tried it. It was very tasty, but more like a breakfast enchilada. If your into a more comfort food, greasy spoon neighborhood diner, then this is your place. Service was fine, friendly staff and coffee was as good as any other breakfast spot. If I had to compare it to any other breakfast diner, It would be similar to the Potholder, but without the wait. My favorite spot in Long Beach would still have to be the Coffee Cup Cafe .

Not llmuch seating and there is even less parking, but the food is good and so is the coffee. Used to be cash only, but very recently started to accept card. There is an ATM inside. Service is good the two Sunday mornings Ive gone, there has been no wait. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Why is this place so damn good.First off please order the banana pancakes. Most places make just basic pancakes and added pieces of banana on top and call them banana pancakes.This place puts both banana pieces in the batter and on top and they just melt in your mouth.The eggs Benedict are a must..This whole place is a must. Worth the drive to long beach

Love this place only had one weird experience which was fixed immediately when my eggs were barely cooked. Other than that the waitresses are super cool, always help me with my spanish and are super attentive. The chefs even say hi. The food is great I recommend the Veggie omelette.

Great little place within walking distance of our rental. For vacationers, only downfall is Cash only. Pancakes tasted home made, not the fluffy artificial ones. Friendly staff. I would recommend it and would return!

The pancakes are amazing and so is the french toast! Very small inside so the wait time can be frustrating especially if you are truly hungry. That’s the only negative.

My wife and I found this quaint little spot passing through Long Beach. The staff was energetic and friendly and the food was simply amazing! We waited less than five minutes for did too be served after we ordered (my favorite part) I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

My husband and I decided to try this place out. I got the El Filipe omelette.and my husband got the Wunderlust omelette. Both were very tasty. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The meal also comes with potatoes which were also very good. The meals was huge! And we couldnt even finish our potatoes. Definitely get your moneys worth, thats for sure. The orange juice was really yummy. So much so that my husband got a second glass. Will be coming back here.

We find a place to eat breakfast wherever we go. Three service was great and the food was packed with so many flavors! I had Machaca with eggs, my husband had Hangover scramble and they were both awesome! The salsa was homemade which we appreciate since I also make my own. Great little hole in the wall..like we like em!

Every time my husband and I eat here, we fall in love all over again! The food is delicious whether youre craving the greasiest of greasiest breakfast, or the healthy stuff, they have it. We almost always have leftovers because the portions are so big. Definitely recommend this place.

Gone down since last visit went on a Friday 11am and got served under cooked corn beef hash,over cooked and obviously reheated potatoes i couldnt even bite thru them defiantly over priced! 😡Id of been better off buying a can o hash at marketNever going back

Had just checked out from staying at the Queen Mary. My friend and I were hungry for breakfast. I did a quick search for whats around town. Thought the name of this place was pretty cool. Small place. Cash only. Ordered orange juice. Tasted freshly squeezed. I had the Hangover Helper with hashbrown and side of toast. Ohhh it was so delicious! This place is cute. I would love to have lunch here someday soon.

First came here in 1970 I believe. It was run by hippie types, but it was so cool. Where the ice machine is today was a record player with all kinds of records and you could play what you wanted! Glad its still open!

Egg Heaven Cafe is another Long Beach Institution!! While it is Cash-Only, it is well worth the extra trip to the ATM to enjoy some of THE BEST BREAKFAST in Long Beach! Most of the people who work there have been there for 10 yrs+, which really says A LOT about this place! Its the PHENOMENAL customer service and consistent quality of food that keeps me gathering my pennies to come back again & again!

It was the best breakfast food in the area for sure. I had the corned beef and hash but the owner brought out some free French toast so we could try what they are known for. Excellent service and friendly!!!! A must stop if you are in the long beach area and appreciate good food for a good price!!!

Went mid morning around 9:30 am wasnt crowded at all, this place was great real home style cooking something youd get if you went to visit grandma on the farm :D service was good, but bring cash they dont have CC system. But regardless it was excellent

We were visiting the area from out of state and just google mapped breakfast in the area. This place had great reviews so we decided to try it and boy were we in for a treat! It wasnt busy since we came close to closing but the food was soooo good. We had the country breakfast (poached eggs with corned beef and gravy), and 2 different omelettes (both were phenomenal), and breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy, and the owner even gave us a sample of their French toast (which was so bomb.. Super buttery and topped with cinnamon and powdered sugar). We also had their homemade salsa which was awesome, not too spicy. If we come back to long beach we are definitely coming back here! And if you live here I highly recommend coming here!

Lots of ppl are giving this place 4 and 5 stars, must be good a while ago. Dined there Aug 2015 and I didnt imagine hash browns can be made this bad. With it came some kind of (Im guessing) ham dish-it looks like a dog barf. For me, this is the worst breakfast I ever had. That was a big waste of $10 and Saturday morning. Service was ok though.

Thats the best ****in Omlette Ive ever had in my entire life. I live a block away, and decided I needed an omlette. I went an paid $12.95 for a breakfast I COULDNT FINISH. We dont know each other, so let me tell you, Im not a big guy, but I can eat more than you, your mom, your goldfish and Venus Fly Trap combined. I eat a lot a lot a lot. The service was fine, she took my order, and she left me to eat. When the glass got empty, she refilled it. So, thats all I care for. Immediately after eating as much as possible and failing, I went home and napped. Its one of those places, that you love. Ill go back again, and cant say anything about the other items, but there are some Omlettes on there that would make George Washington die again... in heaven.That good!
