I have a 2014 20ft pontoon with a 90 hp 4stroke Mercury motor. I have had problems with the motor for 10 years and was about to get rid of it. I had, on two occasions, taken the boat into other dealers/Mercury repair facilities and spent about $1,500 only to have the same problem of the motor quitting when out on the water. I took my boat to Nashville Marine and even with their large backlog of scheduled boat repairs, they called after about 4 weeks saying my boat motor was fixed (at less than a third of what I had paid previous repair facilities). I was surprised and picked it up about 2 weeks ago. Last weekend I took the boat out on the Cumberland River and IT NEVER RAN BETTER!!!!! I am seriously impressed with Nashville Marine and their service staff. And YES, Im keeping my boat!

The folks are friendly. Since all I needed was a steering cable they were able to work me in sooner than what they thought. I gave them four out of five because Ive not had engine work done there, so I cant honestly rate that.

I called Nashville Marine this morning at their new location. The steering system on my boat was in need of repair and I had planned a fishing trip for later on the same day. I spoke to Josh in Service and then to Melvin who actually did the work on my boat. Melvin told me that he had to wait on delivery of some parts to complete the repair on another boat and should be able to work my repair in during his wait. He did exactly what he said he would to perfection. Im not sure that Nashville Marine truly know how good they are. I speak from experience since Ive had work done at very bad boat dealerships and a few excellent ones. Nashville Marine is in the excellent group. Their work is always excellent (fiberglass repair, equipment installations, and a couple of other repairs). Work was always completed ahead of my expectations as well as their initial time commitment, no surprises in the cost of the work, and the quality of their work is consistently excellent. Although their new location is much farther for me to drive now, in my case it was well worth the time and distance. They continually earn my trust by exceeding my high expectations.

They winterized my boat and never told me I had to bring it back to put plugs back in. If I was a boat mechanic I would of never taken it to someone else. I spent hundredsd of getting ready to go to the lake, only to find out I cant. Their reply, SORRY. Amazing response guys

Nashville Marine is the place to buy a boat in Middle TN. Everything from the boat buying experience to the customer service has been exceptional and I highly recommend them. I discovered a trolling motor issue soon after purchasing my G3 boat. Dropped the boat off on a Monday afternoon and it was ready to go the next day equipped with a brand new trolling motor. They obviously focus on customer service and customer satisfaction. Cant go wrong with Nashville Marine.

Brought my nitro z-17 in last week because the motor would not get over 4,000rpms after the oil got low and I filled it back up. The motor would sound a continuous beep after reaching 4,000rpms until I dropped back down below and then would stop beeping. So I brought it to Nashville Marine. They did read the codes faster than expected, but then proceeded to tell me it was in guardian mode, which I already knew. I arrived to put a tarp on it because it was supposed to rain that weekend and they asked me questions about events leading up to the beep. Did I turn it off and back on? Did I put the correct oil in it? All things I thought of before bringing it to a dealer/shop and paying a diagnostic fee. They then stated they would have to take it out on the water and test it to recreate the beep, and that it would be another full diagnostic fee. I decided I didn’t not want to pay the same fee twice so I came and picked it up this past Monday. After spending twenty minute on google and YouTube, I found a very common problem with the Mercury Optimax XS motors where the cap retainer stick will break off and sit in the bottom of the oil reservoir making the computer think that there is no oil in the reservoir. Today my father and I removed the reservoir, drained the oil, and removed the broken retainer stick. Just got off the water and the motor ran like a top. This is my first boat that I have only owned for two weeks. I was expecting a dealer/shop like Nashville Marine to have more experience and knowledge about such issues with a well know motor such as Mercury. Sadly, they fell way short of said expectations. Customer service was not the best, did not really seem to care whether I wanted them to work on it or not when I came back to pick it up.

Hello my name is David McMurray, I am the owner at Nashville Marine.Customer satisfaction is very important to us at Nashville Marine. You as a customer are very important to us.With that being said I want to address a negative review we have from a customer that claims we put them off for two months, had there money, no communications with them and talked them into using us because we will beat other bids.First off their boat is not on our premises and never has been, Yes I agreed to do the repairs on the boat for the customer I told him in the beginning that I will do my best to get the repairs completed in a timelymatter . Unfortunately most of the repairs needed to be repaired by asub contractor that we both agreed to use, unfortunately I cant controlthe time when they can work on our projects. That leaves us at there mercy. Im very sorry that I did not go ahead and repair the few things thatwe could repair. I just felt that until the other work was performed we would wait and repair our places on the boat, I now regret the decisionthat I made. The second thing that I want to address is the Bid or estimate, I never estimated this job the Insurance company made their own estimate on the boat and then ask the customer where do you want me to send the check too. They then gave us the opportunity to do the repairs for the amount given by their insurance adjuster. There insurance sent a check to us in the name of the customer and our repair shop. That check was sent back to the customer from us. I gave him the names and numbers of the sub contractors and wished him well .. I regret the fact that we were not able to do the repairs for the customer and I regret any inconvenience that we caused to him. At the end of the day we want our customers to leave satisfied. Unfortunately we cant please everyone..

Horrible experience. We hired them to fix our boat in march. For 2 months we waited on them to start, nothing!!! They had insurance check in hand. No communication but we are busy. Bad service . Please avoid this shop at all cost. They will talk you into hiring them by beating other bids, but not worth it.
