Tried their fudge and carrot cake. Both were absolutely delicious. I have never had fudge so dreamy and creamy. Now, for the carrot cake I think it ranks as the best I have ever tasted. 😋 !

Monday I took my grandsons dog to the kansas country store to be neutered. I know. I was surprised to learn that its not just a country store, for leavenworth county residents LAWS runs a free spay and neutering clinic. Its called HOPE. They were educational, kind, helpful and even sent me home with post op instructions. I did opt to purchase the collar/cone to protect and prevent him from cleaning the site. While I purchased the collar I noticed what looked like a lunch counter and also found the homemade fudge! Awesome! Ill be returning soon. Next time without the dog!

The store has great selection of pet food and the employees are very friendly. I was on my way to pick up some dog food and I got a flat tire right in front of the store, a nice employee helped me change the flat tire, so to say they go above and beyond is an understatement.

Every time I have gone into the Kansas Country Store, I am treated like a just extraordinary. I also love that they allow my dog to come in just so we can pick out things that he likes. I was told by the veterinarians office that my dog needs to be socialized. This is one great way that I can do that. It is hard to find places that allow pets inside. I love the Kansas Country Store! Also, if I am needing a unique gift for someone, their gift store has such a wide variety of items that I can always find something.

The lady in the back by the fudge was very rude. She fussed at my granddaughters about touching ornaments in the store. That the entire stock could have been purchased. Just because a person doesnt dress like you think a well to do person doesnt mean that they arent. I said not to purchase anything but my daughter did anyway. She had been there before and told me what a great experience it would be. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. I HOPE THE RUDE WOMAN DIDNT HAVE A PROBLEM AT HOME OR SOMETHING SERIOUS GOING ON. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY I COULD EXCEPT HER BEHAVIOR.

Then theres the charming gift shop with lots of products sourced from the surrounding area. And of course the fudge... And famous pies... Staff are warm, welcoming, and full of information. They are a major supporter of affordable spay & neutering, as well as matching homeless animals with forever families. So thankful that they are part of the Leavenworth community!

I came here 3yrs ago briefly when I was visiting and made sure I came through again. very sweet staff. In the back right side of the store they have delicious fudge, local honey, and a nice variety of trinkets and gifts you can buy for family,friends or YOURSELF! Will definitely bring family here when they visit!

It is very nice store to shop at for pets! They also have a clinic in the building to get pets spayed and neutered! Don, the owner is a really nice guy! He takes in cats, takes care of any medical needs they may have and then finds homes for them! He does all of this out of his own pocket! Like I said, he is a super nice guy! Check out his cat room! I have often used the HOPE Clinic (in the back of the store) for low cost spay/neuter services (made possible by LAWS)! Plus they have lots of useful supplies and cute decor!

This store has everything but the kitchen sink. Incredible selection of pet supplies. In the back there is the county animal shelter. Soon they will be attaching the two buildings and have all kinds of animals and all kinds of supplies.The people and customer service is amazing. Really nice and friendly. The boutique shop is so cute! Their homemade fudge is to die fir and the art/knickknacks are very unique.Its a wonderful hole in the wall with good people doing good things.

I can’t help but wander the aisles every time I come in here; even when I know what I need to buy! They not only carry a great selection of livestock and pet products, but the wonderful gift shop has so many items that are worth perusing. Free fudge samples, too! We’ve bought several types of fudge and have enjoyed them all. The staff are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and quick to help. I’d give a 5* rating just for their customer service. The prices aren’t incredibly high either, like you sometimes see in local shops. I try to buy everything I need from them versus the nationwide chain.

The staff are very sweet and knowledgable about their products. They make fudge and it is AMAZING!! It doesnt taste like flavored sugar like most places. It is a perfect balance of sweet and flavor.

Kansas Country Store has evolved from a store that once sold a little bit of grain, some tack and wired trucks and trailers to what its become today. They should be proud of how far theyve come.

One of the only sources of locally produced honey in the area. Lots of cute gift ideas, and the spay/neuter program Hope offers through this store is an important public service.

Today we were at KCS for a fund raiser, and as usual everyone involved is always pleasant and helpful. Usually we go to buy our animals food, and they have lots of animal necessities amongst so much more!! The Loafing Shed is also within the KCS and I tell myself the wonderful things I find in there are my necessities!!

Local feed store... great prices, and the friendliest staff youll ever meet! Theyre all very knowledgeable about their products and always happy to help! When we decided to change dog food, the gentleman working that afternoon spent the better part of an hour with us, patiently explaining the differences and reading ingredient labels with us. He never once pressured us into a decision or got irritated that we were taking so long. That was two years ago, and weve never shopped anywhere else for our furry kids! Theyve also got a little shop with the BEST apple butter and fudge!

I have always had a good customer experience whenever I needed to purchase more equipment/supplies for the my horses at the Kansas Country Store. I do believe they’re just a tad more expensive than maybe TSC or Orchlen’s but it’s made up for with sound quality and durability of each product.
