Up to date, friendly staff, really easy to navigate. Have been in many times to get pricing ideas and if I should look online for other deals or not. I usually go here for laptops or simpler tech things, theyve got a nice selection. The computer gaming peripherals are on the pricier end, but they seem to only keep a handful of the bigger name brand stuff. Theres a nice big selection of tvs, and the opened-box sales arent too bad. You can use the geek squad if you want but youll get a cheaper, and more satisfying service from a local computer repair shop, even if it takes longer.

Staff are super informative, fast and friendly. Ive asked a ton of questions for an Apple iPad Mini trade-in and questions in general about my new iPad, they helped me trade in and purchase my new iPad Mini. Unfortunately, none were in stock, so I had to get my stuff ordered online. The package wasnt padded very safely, but the box wasnt too beat up. Came on the day it was scheduled though.

We had a great experience at this Best Buy. We came in with a problem to solve and clerk Adonis and store manager Anna went above and beyond to help us. We left with exactly what we needed. Good customer service can be hard to find these days, and we appreciated them very much.

I always have a good experience at this Best Buy and on my most recent visit Harrison the cashier was incredibly helpful and really went above and beyond his job! I felt like he really deserved some recognition for his actions. It is employees like him that keep me coming in to Best Buy instead of shopping for everything online.

Were do I begin, so I brought my vehicle in for audio installation if a head unit and amplifier. I receive a call several hours later informing me that he has hit my fuel line installing my amplifier. How this happens I have no idea when he claims he has 20 years of experience. So he tells me that my vehicle has been towed to a local repair shop prior to calling me.With the vehicle in the shop he was not able to finish the job until after they replaced my fuel line. The part is special order from Germany and ended up taking a month to make it to the repair shop. At this point I am over it and just want my vehicle back.However I am stuck as I could not move my vehicle and if I wanted to move it to a shop of in Kansas City were I live the tow would have been outrageous. So fast forward the part comes in late last week and is installed. The shop then drops off my vehicle back with Best Buy for them to finish.I receive a email alerting me that my vehicle has been finished and that I can pickup. However the tech Michael has to leave early for a doctors appointment. So he is not there when I pickup, the trim has not been put back to factory specs and my battery is dead which was not the case when I brought the car in.I will never use Best Buy Moblie again and would not recommend them!

Very helpful employees who know how to explain things to someone who knows nothing about technology. Very appreciated and got a great phone out of it. I also learned that wifi adapters and wifi extenders are very different things and saved myself from making a big mistake thanks to a nice employee there. Love the tons and tons of selections and the eager to help employees.

Went in hoping to get my Apple TV reset to factor settings. They referred me to Apple in Leawood. But! I needed a quick fix to stream and they recommended a Roku. Tommy and the young man (didn’t catch his name) at Geek squad were great. Thank you guys!

I would give zero stars if I could. My mother signed up for a best buy account to purchase her and I new iPhones, at the Oak Park location. She put a credit card on file to make the purchase. A couple months later she gets a notification from her credit card that she made a large purchase at the Lawrence Best Buy, where she has never been, for a laptop. She disputed the charge with her credit card company and they investigated it. She called the best buy to tell them what had happened and spoke to a Jamie, they seemed like they genuinely wanted to help rectify the situation. She found out today that the best buy had turned in the receipt to her credit card company to try to prove that she was the one that purchased it and they closed the investigation and the charge hit her card again. SHE HAS NEVER BEEN TO THE LAWRENCE BEST BUY NOR DOES SHE OWN A LAPTOP. She has now had to go to the police station and file a police report to try to get her money back. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT ATTACH A CREDIT CARD TO A BEST BUY ACCOUNT THEY WILL STEAL YOUR INFORMATION. The more and more I hear about this situation the more I am beginning to think it was an inside job. shame on best buy...

Sold us a monitor that was an opened box. The salesman told us that it had been tested before it was put back on the shelf but the power cord was missing. Not sure how it could have worked without a cord to plug it in. Ended up having to buy a power cord on our own.

I understand that Covid alters things, but I was not impressed about there being a sign effectively telling me that I could not shop without asking for assistance. This is even more troubling given that friends of mine have said Best Buy pays their workers on commission (those friends were Best Buy employees at the time). I was also not impressed with having to look all over the store to find a hard drive because of wildly different prices depending on whether the drive was marketed for PCs, Macs, or gaming consoles. I was eventually able to find something that met my needs, but they were out of stock of what I really wanted.

If you have a quick question it’s better to just drive there as opposed to call! Expect to wait at least15 minutes, and that’s during the slow periods! This is the kind of thing that costs you money Best Buy. I’ll be buying from somewhere else. THANKS!

I took my two youngest daughter’s to Best Buy in Lawrence, Kansas today to do some quick Christmas shopping.The plan was to run in and buy the items then get out. The three of us had our masks on and we knew the plan, but things don’t always go as expected.I handed Brie, who is eight, one of the items I had intended to purchase and she exclaimed,“Wait! Where’s my wallet!?”At some point she had set her wallet down, which contained her life savings of $75, and walked away from it.We traced our steps and could not locate it.We found a store employee named Reid and this guy was outstanding! He got on his radio and started organizing a search party!He asked Brie about where she had been, what she had looked at, the wallet description, and then he set out looking.This guy went up and down the isles with us and kept assuring her that we were going to fin the wallet.After five minutes or so, I began questioning whether or not she had even brought her wallet with her. I turned my back for a moment to ask her if she remembered bringing it when I heard Reid shout,“Found it!”He was so happy to have located her wallet, with life savings in tact, that his eyes glistened with joy!Brie was extremely grateful but equally embarrassed that she had misplaced her money.We finished our purchases and exited later than expected but also happier than expected too!😀👍

Curbside ordering is sooooo smooth. Order online, select curbside, get a text, pull up when your order is ready, click the link in the text and have the number it shows you ready for when the Best Buy employee comes out and you’re all done!

I was trying to build a teleportation device and these guys were great at helping me determine which subwoofer would be best to do the bass drop when I appeared in the spot I chose to go to. They also sold me a good remote for my TV. Only four stars because the quantum crystals were out of stock as well as any and all flux capacitors.

I found the store had great service and what I needed. I bought a washer and dryer. They had it in stock and was delivered and installed as promised.Great service. I showed the delivery guys where it would go and left them to it. They installed let me know they done and left.

This Best Buy does have some good deals on video games, as well as some cool lego sets and pc gaming peripherals. However, some of theyre products in their Insignia line are over priced. I needed a USB Printer cable (alternatively called a A/B USB cable) for my USB microphone. When I went to pay for it, it costed $27.99. Keep in mind, these cables usually cost somewhere in the $10 range (for USB 2.0 variants, which this one was). Despite that, the staff were very friendly and understood why I wouldnt buy that cable.In summary, good selection of electronics, sometimes with great deals, and mice staff, but their in house line is absolutely overpriced.

The location is clean and the parking lot is accessible. While the greeters are polite and well informed, the stock isnt as diverse as I would prefer.The sales staff often come across as smug rather than knowledgeable, which is pretty off putting. Their prices are okay, but I always feel like I shouldve just ordered online.

Due to the age of my old phone, there were complications in transferring data to the new phone. Technician Chase showed patience and determination in resolving the issue. Last few years it has been depressing to visit. The selection is nice but the ratio of salespeople to customers is crazy. Every 50 ft you get to a new section of the store where someone tries too hard to help you. I dont mind telling someone I dont need help as I look around - I generally appreciate someone asking once - but sometimes it happens ten or more times on a visit and it just feels intrusive. Sometimes if you leave a section and then return youll get asked again by the same person. It really gets annoying and makes me want to leave.

Terrible customer service. Asked for a good chromebook replacement and all they did was recommend chromebooks and kept talking about price. They never asked what it was for or what the laptop was going to be running. We even told them 3 times we didnt care about the price and wanted to know about the hardware and if it could handle the things we wanted it to do. Sadly walmart has better customer service than bestbuy

Was shipped the wrong product, called to see if I could trade it in for what I ordered, was told it was in stock, drove all the way there, then was told it was out of stock and I would have to wait for them to ship the right item. Its convenient to buy gifts online. But its so much better to buy them where other people can help you make a decision. Best Buy has all of the tech a normal person needs and then some. There are always helpful people throughout the store that are knowledgeable and if they arent sure, they will put you in touch with someone who is. I feel like the prices are reasonable and they have a price match offer. For consumer electronics, this is the best place in Lawrence.

I am still waiting for them to fix my TCL tv. Although the service man was kind, their service is not as good as I thought. Wasting my time, their time and wasting the enjoyment of getting a new TV. I m still waiting !!!!Update: after waiting for a more week for service to fix the TV, they sent me a voice message saying they will come to fix the tv but to my old appartment address that I left since 2 years back although they delivered the tv to my current address. I went there to purchase a laptop and some accessories for it. I was able to very help eventually differe a staff member on selecting the right laptop for me. However, first walking into best but and making my way to the back, I was asked if I needed assistance no less than 4 times but different people. A bit of an overkill. But after strategically avoiding more questions from associates, I found someone I felt comfortable with and asked them to help me. I was able to get everything I wanted quickly after that.

I needed a new charging cord for my phone and we had to go to Lawrence for grocery shopping so stopped here for the purchase.The employees were nice and helpful. It was pretty slow and since we were walking around looking at things we were asked several times if we needed anything.I started taking pictures, and it must have looked like I was casing the joint because a manager came over to ask if there was anything I needed.What happened to the days of just browsing?We were able to get the cord and check out without any problems.I like the Best Buy chain and try to frequent them. I know when it’s slow it’s their job to check in on customers but this was a bit over the top.I’d still go back. Clean store, helpful employees. Better then some other chains who ignore their shoppers.

Best Buy is pretty much the same wherever you go. It has a good selection of products within a limited range and the prices are market standard. At the Lawrence store, customer service can be hit or miss. If you can get Jamie to help you, youll have a good experience. He knows tons about a wide variety of products and is very patient and helpful. Im sure there are other excellent associates, but Ive had a few bad experiences so I pretty much just look for this one guy.

**I need to upgrade my rating since my last one at this store. I dont remember the person that gave me bad information about my computer repair, but since then I have been to this store two or three times and the store has been well-staffed even for the Christmas Season. Everyone has been incredibly helpful, especially Landon. I hope that people will support them for this holiday season after theyve made such a big improvement.

My husband wanted some new wireless headphones. This was the only Best Buy in the metro that still had his desired model in stock. When we arrived we couldnt find them - and neither could the employee. The employee spent about 10-15min searching and did end up finding the headphones. We were thankful for his perseverance!
