Myeyedr Laurel was great! I was able to find all my eye care needs! The young lady at the front desk was lovely. I didnt have my insurance card handy and she was able to find it in a heartbeat! Super professional and definitely recommend come here for sure! I can wait to come here next year see you guys in 2022!

I wanted to let everyone know that this is the best group of people I have come across in the customer service area ever. Mr Lorenzo ( manager) is one of a kind.... Patient, understanding and extremely kind. It is evident through his staff that they are here for us. Celia, Delia and everyone were very accommodating, knowledgeable and took very, very good care of me. Today was my First Eye Exam here in laurel. From walking in the front door I’m greeted from the whole staff. The doctor Wang was so sweet and kind and answer all my question I had for her . My eye wear Consultant Horacio was the highlight of my day! He has this warm smile and makes you feel so comfortable. The ladies in the front Nathaly and Monique were funny and charming while I was there. I had to tell The store manager what great team of people they have and I must say I’m excited to pick my glasses and see them again Next year!! Thank you laurel

My eye doctor recently moved jobs from another business to MyEyeDr and now works at this location. She is, hands-down, the best eye doctor ever and you can believe me when I am willing to follow her to her new location. She is super kind and gentle, while also being very informative and thorough. She truly cares about her patients.I was also pleasantly surprised at how much I liked her new office and staff! I actually came about 30 minutes late to my scheduled appointment and they were super accommodating. I even forgot to bring my new vision insurance and they were so patient with me while I found the name of it so they could look it up using their system. Overall, the staff is super kind and very helpful. I didnt think they were pushy with selling me a new pair of glasses either.Amazing eye doctor and great staff is really all you need.

They had new young man in this office and he was great! Customer service was so great from the staff and the young man. He made me feel so welcome and we had great conversation and lots of smiles best time here for an eye dr ! Very recommended

It was a good experience until they could not produce the glasses I ordered. Processing was supposed to take 2 weeks. 2 weeks later I am told the lab messed up. They had to ship the frames from the store to the lab. Another 2 weeks goes by and I had to call to find out that they were still not available. I asked for a refund. Waited a full day for a manager to call me back. I had to call back. The manager understood and said he did not have a problem issuing a refund. Now I am told that corporate has to write the check and that can take 5-6 business weeks to get a check. Wow!

PAST EXPERIENCES (2015-2017): Wonderful experience every time (have been using this location since 2015. I cant always afford the frames they carry, the selection of affordable frames are pretty silly looking, but they are always pleasant and do their best to work with me through payments. I always received my glasses within the time they estimated, usually early. They are quick to help with minor repairs when needed and even when they are swamped with customers, they remain cheerful and polite. We order glasses online now, but I will always trust this location to do exams. Wonderful staff.CURRENT EXPERIENCES (2018): Management (Fransisco was his name), highly unprofessional and discriminates based upon insurance carrier. Exact exchange: Me: How can you tell me there is no availability without even checking the system? Fransisco Oh, Im sorry, I didnt know you were looking at me right now. He didnt even care that I was willing to schedule my appointments further in advance. The sarcasm and tone was more than I cared to listen to any further. According to a more professional employee from the Columbia, MD location, MyEyeDrs corporate office changed the policy for certain insurance carriers limiting the number of and time certain patients can be seen. I will no longer be patronizing this business.BOTTOM LINE: If you have anything less than major private insurance, you will be treated as an inferior customer.

There are too many places in the area to deal with this level of customer service. They have a subpar selection of contacts in stock. The doctor wasn’t very compassionate or informative. The cashier were too aggressive pushing for glasses selection. They didn’t seem very competent to accommodate or communicate orders. They need better hiring top down. Location is a plus though.

I’ve had a bad experience with them before, they ordered lenses instead of the frame. Had to wait several weeks to receive a complete pair of glasses. BUT I gave them another chance...Ordered glasses and didn’t receive them for 3 weeks. The first excuse was they were waiting for the frames, then it was they were sent to another location, and then it was they didn’t have them...But they did. I would say Customer Service was great but the process sucks. The communication within the location sucks. I may have to bite the bullet and go to another location. (Which Sucks)

Terrible service. The Dr is fine but the salespeople are high pressure (think used car salesmen). They did not have the glasses ready when promised and could not say when they would be. All they offered were excuses. Wont shop here again.Update: my wife had an appointment here which she kept today. She specifically requested to be seen for contact lenses. She saw the doctor and after she was done asked for the information on the contacts so she could buy them elsewhere (obviously). At that point she was told the exam wasnt for contacts and she had to go back in for another exam. After the 2nd exam she asked for the contacts prescription and was told that she could not have it because she has never worn contacts before. She was told that she could have it only after taking a class which is not offered on weekends or evenings which makes it extremely difficult for her to do. We were never told about the requirement for a class and would not have gone back here had we known about it and when it was offered.The manager, while unhelpful, was at least professional about both situations. However the two female receptionists were both rude and condescending.AVOID THIS LOCATION!Ive contacted customer service reference the first issue (still no glasses) and will update this when I have received a reply.

Appointment Saturday morning as soon as they opened up. Was seen As soon as I finished paperwork. Now its Wednesday and just picked up my contacts. Everything went smooth. Only reason I took of a star is because checkout guy kept trying to push me to buy glasses. Not a crime, but I told him Someone else was buying my contacts so why would I rack up their card. And then he asked me again later. But I got what I came for and only took 4 days when they told me 10, so Im happy

The staff are wonderful! I am extremely satisfied with my first visit for a general eye exam. Its a small office but they have most of the equipment that I expected to see. Would recommend to anyone needing to see an optometrist.

This is the first and last time I will go to this place. It is clearly all about money. I called to inquire if they offered evening hours and the lady I spoke to was quick to ask if I had insurance and if it was medicaid or commercial insurance. Since they had an appointment for the same day, I decided to go anyway. When I was done with my exam I met with a gentleman by the name of Glenn. He was very pushy for me to go look for frames after I advised him I wanted to know how much my total was going to be before I did that. I did not see anything that I liked so I told him I just wanted contacts. He gives me a total of almost $400 for my eye exam and year supply of contacts. I proceeded to tell him that I only wanted to pay for my exam and I was going to look at Costco for my contacts because in the past I have gotten a years worth of contacts from there for around $200. He keeps telling me that I would forfeit my contact lens benefit if I did not purchase contacts at the same time I had my exam and I could only get a trial pair of contacts with a contact lens order. I told him after about the 3rd time of him saying this to me and him repeating you get what Im saying that I did not think that was correct. At this point Im getting very annoyed with him and he tells me I could get a 3 month supply and it would be covered at 100%. I was ready to leave and just told him okay. I paid my exam which was $100 which is the most I have ever paid for a contact lens exam ever. When I left the store I called my insurance because his statement regarding my insurance benefit for contacts did not sit well with me. My insurance told me that what he said was INCORRECT and I am able to go days later and order contacts from anywhere and still have my benefit. I called Costco to find out the price of the contacts and they were selling them for $20 less than what MyEyeDr was charging. I immediately called them back to cancel my contacts order and told them I did not appreciate Glenn telling me false information. So before you even think about going here make sure you are aware of all of your benefits because clearly they will tell you anything in order for you to purchase from there. I am telling everyone I know not to go here because they will try to rip you off if you dont do your homework.

I went to the Laurel MyEyeDr because I was having horrible eye strain. The doctor and exam were great. I was told that I would get my glasses in 2 weeks, but probably sooner. This was on June 11th, it is now July 10th and no glasses or any reason for the delay.July 1st I called the police atient relation line and was told I would get a partial refund and the glasses would be ready on the 6th or the 9th of July. But nothing happens and no one seems to know why.I get promises that Ill get a call back and no calls. If there was communication, may be I would feel different, but when I ask why my glasses are in process - the staff just says they do not know. This place has gone down hill.The eye strain continues to be painful, I cant see any doctor allowing their patients to be treated this way. To all prospective patients, stay away - find some where else.

Been waiting since Dec to get my eye glasses. The new manager was trying his best to correct few errors made by the past staff. But what is going on at the Laurel branch, I used other branches in the past without any issue, I even introduced my friends. I have been to the branch on this same issue over 8 times and made several calls only to be told that glasses are yet to be received. There are numerous errors and I live with eye pain for about 3 month since my specs has changed, I even told a young slim guy there about my pain but he couldn’t help. Been applying warm compress and eye drops to alleviate pains. This is terrible and sad sad sad. My wife too is not happy cos we both didn’t get our glasses since Dec 27th 2018 and this is March 11th still waiting!! Very good location but bad experience of our my life.

Total disappointment today!!! I can accept one mistake but NOT 2 within less than 2 weeks. Documentation of my appt once again was NOT in the computer. Thank goodness I called. I was placed on hold waiting for manager for 15mins and due to him not coming to phone I kindly hang up. I have emailed customer relations regarding this incident. However, after reading reviews Im not surprised I had an unwarranted experience. Just teaches me a lesson to read reviews and make my decision on that sometimes. Btw, it doesnt make sense for manager or owner to respond to reviews if nothing is being done to better the level of service. ..should take heed too many business are folding for this exact experience.

Was excited to get my glasses today...(for the second time), but the prescription on the right eye is still wrong. I should have read google reviews before going to this place. Going back on monday with my prescription from another doctor.7-28-17 asking for a refund at this point for what i paid on contacts. Glasses are great but contacts are terrible. I will update if i even get a refund. But i do have to add that the manager has been great.

The woman I spoke to on the phone had no idea what she was doing. I gave them all of my current insurance information and instead of putting that in their system they pulled information including my address from 2011. I tried explaining that my insurance was way different now and that didnt make any sense. She wouldnt listen to me and kept repeating the old information. I ended up canceling thr appointment because I really cannot stand stupidity. I will be going elsewhere for my vision needs

I would give them 0 stars if I could! Ive had to wait a month for a pair of prescription sunglasses, because they keep messing them up! And the last pair to arrive, the lens keeps popping out, and the frames are bent out of shape. From the moment I started talking to the manager, Linda, I felt like I was being sold a bill of goods. I hate feeling like I need to keep my guard up at ANY kind of doctors office! And I always felt like they were up selling me on everything. Completely incompetent. The only good thing about the place, was one of the doctors, who agreed that they were giving me the wrong lenses. NEVER GO HERE!!

As far as the staff, I loved them, the optometrist and Glenn, Jasmine and the rest of the bunch. I took off a star because I have to take my glasses back . I was trying contacts for the first time and that didnt work out so I was glad I also ordered glasses, I dont get it, I brought my prescription and yet the new glasses give me a headache.

The manager there is UNPROFESSIONAL! If I could I give them a -5 I would. I ordered a pair of contacts and asked for a spare pair and being that they only one Left and no Right she didnt want to give me the LEFT! My husband went in there and was quoted $70 more than what they told me over the phone. The girl at the front desk has NO clue and the manager shouldnt be there, her in professionalism and lack of customer is unparalled. Dont go to this location EVER.

Customer service is all over the place here! went in for an eye exam and glasses for myself and mother, and they gave us a price on frames in person and at the time of pick up I was given a total different price? And to make matters worse my glasses prescriptions were wrong. Two months later and I dont have my glasses nor my mothers due to staff miscommunication. Seriously regret walking in there.
