These guys are good at masking the issue and not actually repairing it. Shouldve known when I pulled in and the shop was empty. Good mechanic shops are never empty. Lesson learned, never coming here again.

As a medical professional who services the greater lansing area, I know how quality care and service should be. I am highly disappointed in the service provided by Lentz. The older guy who works the front desk is highly unprofessional and confrontational. Be careful using these guys if you arent mechanically inclined or if they think you arent. Im sure my experience here is due to me coming off as someone who is not mechanically inclined. Unfortunately for them, I do know my way around cars.I was quoted a price for an extensive exhaust repair while my vehicle only required a muffler. The price was about $400 and he stated hes saving me some money doing it this way. I told him that its more than I want to spend on the vehicle. He then got offended and said you shouldve told me your budget was nothing.For a business to assume a person has or doesnt have money is highly unprofessional. He then started yelling about not doing something illegal. I told him thats fine Ill just go to Midas and he then proceed to say he will call Midas and make sure they dont take care of me. What kind of business practice is that? He became so offended that he tried to impede my business elsewhere.Luckily Midas is not unprofessional nor criminals like these guys and happily repaired my exhaust. Ended up going to the West Side Midas while the old man called the MLK midas to try to ruin it for me. The $400 job I was quoted at Lentz was done at Midas for $50. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. MIDAS is way more affordable, more honest, and professional.Update: I was originally quoted $50 for the job at midas and the job was easier than expected, took about 10 mins. Ended up not charging me.

If youre a woman or teenager, be prepared to be taken advantage of. They try over charging people they think wont know the difference. Although Im a woman, my dad taught me a lot about cars, these guys are CROOKS. Stay way!

Had no heat, The guy went out of his way to assure me I had no leaks in my lines and I was just low on coolant. They filled it and sent me on my way. On my way home coolant was spraying all over my windshield. There was a big crack in my reservoir....EDIT: I dont have to delete my review if I dont contact you, thats just silly. You dont have me on file because you sent me away without doing any work to the truck. The guy was nice, I just was underwhelmed

My car suddenly started making a horrible noise and it was early morning. Everywhere else I called was busy and Lentz took my car in immediately and fixed it. They gave me an estimate of all the repairs and what I could afford was done within a reasonable time.

Took my lifted 2004 GMC Yukon XL there to get a new 3 pipe put on from just on front of the big bend, back. Told me to come in at 1, had me out the door 45 minutes later. Friendly, tries hard to ensure a good experience, Jaime (store mgr @ mlk and jolly), succeeds in running a good shop and building good customer service. The exhaust guy was very cordial, happily answered my questions. If you have a bad experience here, you either cannot accept the word no, or you have blown past all of Jamies attempts to make your experience pleasant. I watched him handle a particularly difficult customer with patience that might have exhausted my own in half the time. I would recommend this store for exhaust work to my mother.

Well i had a muffler and my bearings done both times jamie was excellent as was his employees ill be seeing you this week or next cause my service engine soon light is on

The staff was polite and friendly. They were straight to the point with what was wrong with my vehicle. They even got me extra savings so I could afford to get the work done that to be done to get me back on the road. Thank you again and I will be doing more business with Lentz.

We started taking our cars to Lentz years ago because they offer a payment plan. We keep going back because we are always well taken care of! The customer service is good, prices are fair and the work is of good quality! I would never go anywhere else!

Jamie was fantastic. I got 2 cars fixed today ! My Cavalier, and my daughter’s Jeep. He was straightforward, honest, and very reasonable. Everything was done in 2 hours. Their shop is very clean, and the staff is exceptional. Check them out !

I took my truck here to get my power steering fixed,cost me two grand,outrageous,and I asked them to look over everything and make sure that I don’t need anything else fixed,they said that everything was perfect,the TWO DAYS LATER my engine seized up because I was leaking coolant and it overheated. Now I have to spend $6200 on a new engine all because they couldn’t do they’re damn job.Thanks a lot HACKS! Never go here

Went in at 9:00am and they were busy with a vehicle on the hoist that he needed to look at my truck. Said he would call in 1 1/2 hrs to look at my truck. Bottom line, 4 1/2 hours later, still no call. Went across the street to Muffler Man, got my truck fixed. Highly recommend Muffler Man. Les Little at Muffler Man is a stand up guy and does what he says and his crew is good!

Jaime the manager was very personable had Alex bring our car in to bay we were in and out in 15 mins only needed our heat shield tightened and did it for no charge.....Thank you again very much!!!!

I have ues lentz for many years and have had 4 vehicles worked on by lentz.there head mechanic great guy. The owner thats another story be carefull with him hes money hungry and doesnt care about his repeat customer. He would rather try and over quote you $70 for a test drive and 20mins on the lift. He says he pays his guys with time so I guess $70 for a 30min check sounds fair right. The reason for his outrageous rate is because when I stated becoming mechanically savvy I learned that the shops not just lentz. charge way too much for repairs that take an hour to do so I started paying to just get my car looked at and that set him off. Be careful saying you just want something checked out you might get charged more if they think you dont want to pay them $100 an hour for there work . Again if your Fortunate to speak with there head mechanic youll get taken care of great.

Please dont dont go there for any repairs!!! All they do is grab your money and then give you nothing but excuses about why your car isnt fixed!! Its really funny when I took my truck to another shop they found the problem within a hour.. but Lenz mufflers still has my money

I went into this place my freestyle was very lowest, first of all they said there was a whole in my head gasket, then they went over all the paperwork with me and he told me if I wanted to keep my old part to check this box and sign so I did as he watched me do so. When I got my car back it was quiet but when I got.home I noticed the old part was not in my car, I called them and they said I have to ask them to put it in the CAR BUT I SAID I CHECKED THE BOX WE LITERALLY TALKED ABOUT IT WHY DIDNT YOU ASK.ME WERE I WANTED THE PART?! then he said the part was still there if I wanted to pick it up and that they dont sell the parts ( now it just makes them seem shady). A week later my car was loud again and went to my.regular mechanic we looked under the car the BRAND NEW FLEX PIPE THAT I PAID FOR THEY SUPPOSEDLY REPLACED WAS NOT BRAND NEW!!! ALL THEY DID WAS WELD IT SHUT TO KEEP IT QUIET!!!! I spent $186 this place totally ripped me off they should go out of business I do NOT RECCOMEND ANYONE TO GO HERE!!!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF ESPECIALLY IF YOUR A WOMAN.

They were very honest.fixed what needed to be fixed and got me going very quickly
