John did an AMAZING job on my car! He literally saved me because I had no idea my car needed the work that it did! He was very patient with me and answering my questions because i know nothing about cars! Lol Staff was amazing as well! I was .A Great Customer to PEPBOYS always had my OIL CHANGED regularly by them ..I recently purchased 4 New Tires with a Roadside assistance and Replace or Repair warranty on them...Well guess what I need an appointment to repair one of my NEW TIRES...And they didnt have any openings till maybe a day or 2...Now am suppose to drive around on and make sure they dont go flat in the meantime!!! DONT RECOMMEND THEM. AT ALL.. ..

Well I came in kind of on the spur of the moment because I had a low tire icon on my dashboard and they took my car in and put air in my tires and I really didnt have to wait that long so I appreciate that.

AWFUL! An absolute NIGHTMARE! These clowns are working for pain pills thats it...they could care less about their job. Waste of 1500$, 3 tanks of gas, and 16 hours of total wait time ! They have ordered wrong parts, claimed they did an alignment and didnt ! Had their work inspected by an actual dealership! Worst brake/rotor job IN HISTORY! Watched an employee sit in my car in the AC for 30 minutes doing NOTHING with my car running ...and then took an hour lunch. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!

Made an appointment online for an oil change and wheel alignment. Sat in the lobby for 2 hours 30mins just to find out they still hadnt even started the wheel alignment. How does it take 2hours and 30mins to do a scheduled oil change?! Ridiculous. If you go here, just drop off your car. They take unreasonably long to do simple jobs.

Just want to give a big shoutout to Mike, Gary and another tech whos name i never got around to learning, these gentlemen helped me out when the 2 back wheels of my Mustang GT went out, their customer service and honesty was amazing, i asked on arrival if my car could be back on the road before the day was done, they did everything they could on their side but unfortunately it did not happen BUT that was not their fault as a new Rim had to be ordered for my vehicle and there were complications with the OM delivery, which is entirely not their fault; came by the next day to pick up my baby and as promised they delivered with what i asked.10/10 i know i can count on these Goodfellows incase Im ever in a pinch again

This is not about the service or quality of products. Although, it is about unbecoming conduct that is allowed to take place in the parking lot after hours. They are literally across the street from a residential community, rehabilitation center as well numerous assisted living facilities and they are allowing car and truck shows to occupy their parking lot well after 10 p.m. so the people LIVING in the community have to deal with loud music, noise from supped up exhaust systems and drunken yelling for hours. I would think that management would put a stop to the non sense. A simple sign prohibiting this type of behavior would prevent it! I have to edit this post and say that within one day the area director contacted me and promised to do anything they could to make it right and I truly appreciate it!

Paid nearly 1200 for power steering pump to be replaced and labor charge. A 2 hour job and they claimed itll take till 11 am the next day to complete. Plus theres air in the lines and now my radiator is just pouring water out.Yes I know some shad mechanics but at least the work is done correct and doesnt cost me but parts and a 12 pack.

I went in there with a coupon for 30% off gentleman told me that he has a better deal than that and I get a free calendar turns out they charge me for the calendar and said they discounted me some in an other place somewhere else and thats why they charge me for the calendar I didnt want to fing calendar. Just when I thought I had found a place to take my cars to they had to pull a fast one on me. Taking my business else were. Not totally honest prices too high. I could have went anywhere else got it for $55 guy at the front counter tries to tell me that this was $100 oil change. I got a good deal. So I guess Im getting a great fantastic deal everywhere else. Just want a place with a honest up front no BS place to take my car.

I went for an oil change on my vehicle with an appointment. The cashier was very polite and handled my car needs in a timely manner. I was out in less than an hour.

The absolute WORST service I’ve ever gotten. I waited 20 minutes for assistance and 10 minutes for checkout and the store was EMPTY. I will be gladly driving ANYWHERE else for any of my car needs. Should be called Slow Boys for how long it took me just to get transmission fluid.

I give this place 5 stars mainly because of the good service and turnaround time. I needed a new tire but didnt want to wait four or more hours at Walmart or 2 plus hours at tire kingdom. I had never gotten any work done at Pep Boys before so I was very surprised and pleased that it took them only 30 minutes to install the tire, and this time included the wait time, install, checking out, and leaving. I cant really speak to the quality of any of the other work that they do there but theyre definitely going to top my list of places to get tires from for now on.

2 trips in a row they stripped the wheel studs on my car. First time they fixed it for free the second time I had to speak with the manager Gary and he was rude and unhelpful. He tried to tell me on the phone that I stripped the wheel studs when I was taking off the wheel even when I explained to them they did it the last time I brought my car in. Wouldn’t recommend and I won’t be coming back.

The woman that checked myself in was very polite, (my car had a hole in my tire that just needed a quick patch, and I needed a new key battery) and she helped me find the battery that I needed and even replaced it for me while my car was getting worked on. My car was done in under 30 minutes which is relatively quick for my standards, concerning car maintenance. I plan to come back to pepboys whenever necessary for any of my maintenance needs.

Guys at the front were very helpful in providing detailed information about my car after an inspection and tune up. Now I know exactly what to work on in my car for future reference. Had a friend get a tire hole filled and the guy was nice enough to write the ticket off - no charge. Very friendly on the phone as well. Great service. Great price. I would definitely recommend.

I dropped into he store for an oil change and a couple minor repairs. It took a little while longer than they estimated to begin working on my car. Pep Boys gave preference to a couple customers with appointments. Glad to know appointments are respected.Everything was done to my satisfaction, everything was done promptly. The tech went through everything with me, even brands of oil, filter, air filter, etc. Ive always been used to getting what the shop has to offer, without options.The minor repairs were done quickly and at no cost.Im happy to have a local shop I can go to that I can trust.

Needed alignment. They didnt do squat. Service Manager said come back tomorrow. I resisted, they got a 2nd tech to do it who did his best but the vehicle was only slightly better. Store manager was great though. Nacho

Went in to get my car checked out and really enjoyed the entire team except for the manager garry he was throwing a fit when i came in, iv never seen a grown man act like a child throwing a tantrum it was very unprofessional and turned me away from this store. Other than the hostile manager i definitely recommend this store because of the really awesome crew, very helpful staff! I just hope they can survive the daily struggle having to work with that nightmare boss.

Like others have said, customer service does seem to need improvement. On my last visit, I was not very happy with the way they communicated what was being used and what wasnt in my Mobil One oil change. After I left I wasnt sure what they used and ended up having an oil leak a month and a half later.Bad experience.Heres the good part. I went back the morning I noticed the leak and they checked it out, gave me a free replacement oil filter and of course didnt charge me anything.The person at the register was actually nice and he made sure I got the oil I wanted and the filter I desired. In the end, it looks like someone of the staff is pretty good and some arent. I wont hold that against the Good Apples.Thanks Michael. Glad you were there

This is second time I have got a set of 4 tires from Pep Boys and Ive been very satisfied with them on both of my vehicles. I can honestly say that both times, even with different tires, they were able to beat out other tire center prices even from Walmart and Sams Club. No hassle from the staff as well.

I came in for new tires and an alignment check. They had a special going on for buy three get one free on select tires. It was the best price I could find by around $100. The associate that helped me gave me a time frame of around one hour. My tires were done in about 50 minutes. They checked my alignment (for free) and came out to show me the results and discuss my options. Other places had tried to charge me about $300 for an alignment because of some piece that was damaged. They said they would need to buy an entire kit just to get the one piece and do my alignment. The Pep Boys mechanic looked at it and was able to fix it without getting any new parts. Even though it required more work than a normal alignment they did not charge me any extra. The entire time my car was being worked on the associate made sure to come out and check in with me periodically and let me know how it was going. He gave very accurate times of when everything was going to be done. He even answered questions that I had about parts and other items in the store while I was waiting. Overall I had an excellent experience and would definately return.

Not HonestBrought in my Nissan Versa to check what I thought was an exhaust system problem. After looking under the car they determined it was not what I thought it was but said I needed a motor mount without test driving it to hear what I was complaining about. After I asked them to test drive it they came back and told me the 2 front wheel bearings needed to be replaced ($1000.00). I told them that I had replaced the left front bearing last year. After they checked again, they determined they the left front was ok but they said the right rear and front needed to be replaced and that the right front was really bad. I said do the right front only ($500.00). I needed my vehicle right away because I had lots of work related driving to do. So..picked up the vehicle and noise was still there. had no choice but to be on my way. Finally had the time to take it to my former honest mechanic in St. Petersburg and he replaced the rear bearing ($200.00) and noise gone. Did I really have to spend the extra $500.00 on the right front? Will never go back to this place. Outrageous dishonesty and complete lack of proper diagnostic skills.

My son went here without any battery trouble, went in for an oil changed next thing they are telling him he needs a new battery because, the battery was dead. That sounds like a complete scam. Car has had no trouble turning on, no hesitation issues and they scammed him to buy a new battery. What was a simple oil change ended up to be more. Taking advantage of a young man that trusted.

Just had my alternator and thermostat changed and they were extremely helpful. Got it done faster than expected too. Price was good and the car seems to run MUCH better after their work. Highly recommended to anyone in the area who needs repairs.

Came in late at night on Friday before Hurricane Irma came to town. Actually, I came to the store with a blown out tire hooked up to a Tow truck after closing by a few minutes. The staff was extremely helpful to me and my family and we would recommend their service to anyone who asks. I would personally like to thank Andrew Parker for his outstanding service. Without his help we would have been stuck in Lakeland for the night with nowhere to go.

Once again, these guys have come through! I picked up a giant screw in my tire that was too close to the edge to be plugged. They discovered that the road hazard protection I thought I had purchased when I replaced all 4 tires here recently hadn’t been added. Instead of just leaving me to cover the cost, they corrected the problem and covered the cost of the tire! Wow! That is above and beyond customer service, and the reason I drive to the neighboring town to use this shop.

I went there a couple months ago for a tire patch. They told me it was unable to be patched. I took a picture of it and went to another tire shop. They said they are dumb and patched my tire for free for the hassle from pepboys. Now thats customer service!!!

I went to the dealer for a check engine light today. Who said the code didnt show for them. After going to leave work - light is back on. (Hmmmm.) Swung into Pep Boys and they ran the error code for me, some helpful tips and otherwise no questions asked since it should be covered under warranty. THANK YOU! Faith in humanity restored on an otherwise crummy day.

I went to Pepboys because I knew the Manager. 1st time I went for alignment.and to have car diagnosed by computer. They called me and said I needed injector service. I paid for that 100$. I asked about O2 sensor. Then he said the computer said it was O2 sensor. They would wave the fee because they knew I would come back for the sensor. On top of that. They did not align my fromt end because it isnt tight. Still alot of play in steering.. I guess they thought they saw a woman coming.. Wasted 320 on no slignment. No O2 sensor. The 2 things I paid for but didnt get.

They were fast and did a good job. Brakes and new routers. A little pricey but who isnt these days.

I just got my tire changed at 98N Lakeland Pep Boys, the experience was very pleasant, especially with Tony that was my service advisor, I cant be more happy with the way they do business, the way they treat customer, you absolutely feel like in a family environment and the crew is very knowledge in what they do, I really recommend this repair shop to anyone, price are very fair and customer service outstanding. The only recommendation for this place is that they should create an space for children to play while repair is performed, thats the only thing that they have an opportunity to improve. Thank you so much to the team and especial thanks to Tony and Jenny.YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME

When you go to this store for all your vehicles oil change and needs for years and spend thousands and this one time you simply ask the front desk guy with a Mohawk if one of the tech could simply tighten my battery cable, he tells me I can get the tools and do it myself or he has to write me up for a battery check up ($17) and will take 2 hrs before they can do it (really 4hrs, 2 is in pep boys time) for one of their techs to look at it. The past few experiences with me waiting 4. Hrs for an oil change when techs out back we’re just hanging out, or when your vehicle literally shifts to the right bad every time you brake but they tell you nothing is wrong with it was one thing but this was what made me decide to never go back.

I made an appointment and request that I wanted a tire rotation and Mobil 1 synthetic oil put into my accord. After they were done, I went to pay and saw that Pennzoil oil was put into my car and they did not rotate my tire. The person that checked me out could not explain what happened. I paid for what was done and left because I was not very happy.

I went in to get my AC looked at after about a month of it going out on me. Jenny and the rest of the employees were awesome! I was on the interstate and car started running really rough. Pulled off in Lakeland and a friend suggested Pep Boys. They ran a diagnostic test to see if it was the alternator, but found out it was a broken coil on one of the four cylinders. Very nice staff who called me to give updates until the car was fixed. I would highly recommend!

Worest customer service

Today 05/19/2015 I visited Pep Boys with a tire problem on my 2006 Toyota Tundra. Mike and Tony both waited on me at the service counter and were most helpful with trying to solve my problem. They were able to get my vehicle into the service bay and have it checked out within just a few minutes.I bought my tires at a different location and had taken it back to them but they were unable to fix the problem. Even though I didnt make the original purchase from this location I was given a VIP treatment. Even Juan the technician that did the repair was very professional and helpful. I was more than pleased with the service at this location and had a smooth, comfortable ride home. I would recomend this store to anyone needing tires or repairs. Thanks Guys

I am fairly new to the area and have had my car serviced here and it was great. Highly recommend taking your vehicle to be serviced. The customer service that you get makes you feel welcomed and I had Naz service my vehicle and he is very knowledgeable about cars and efficient! This will be my car fixer upper place!!
