Fun ambience even with super long line. Gelato was good but not best or unique in any way

This is the best Gelato in the United States. The line was a little long because it is so good. They give you big scoops. The pictures attached are smalls. You can pick up to 3 flavours. They make the waffle cones in front of you. The staff is friendly, patient and helpful. A must if youre in the Laguna Beach area.😋

With a dairy free diet, it’s always a struggle finding an ice cream/gelato shop that is delicious, non dairy and has plenty of flavor options. This place has the widest non dairy sorbet selection I have ever seen, with the tastiest flavors! Definitely coming here every time I’m in town!

If you are gluten-free and dont want a cone and care about the environment, dont go here, or if you just care about the environment. Their ice cream cups are colored plastic. I thought they might have a place to put them for washing and reuse, but they all go in the trash. There are frozen yogurt chains that offer paper cups and biodegradable spoons. Why cant a high end gelato shop like this charge a little more and offer biodegradable eco-friendly containers? I liked the ice cream, but will find a more environmentally friendly shop in the future.

Hesitant to go there.If you know Laguna Parking $ucks! And Gelato is typically expensive and small portions. But I met family there. And was Pleasantly Surprised!Portions good, maybe even great even Single scoop. And prices reasonable!Would I go there again, yea if Im in Laguna for some reason. See above note for parking. I heard about the hype and im going to have to agree with it. i highly suggest you make your way here and stand in line for a cone/bowl i enjoyed my purchase with the fruit berry and banana flavor combo. if i was to come back i would probably want to try the strawberry and the coconut

Ive had European gelato and this is authentic! Real gelato flavors. The lines in summer are long but they have 3 people working the counter so it moves quickly. Definitely worth a little waiting. Its fun for the kids to see how they make the waffle cones right in front of you.The small size is big and they pack your cup! Pictured is my small size cup of dulce de leche and the cones are small too. You could ask for half half so you can try a couple flavors. They have fun flavors like watermelon and cantaloupe and all the traditional ones.

Without any doubt one of the best ice creams. We tried dark chocolate hazelnut, double chocolate, cream caramel and the pistachio!All were great but pistachio one is truly heaven

This Gelato is so delicious! Line can get very long. Be prepared to wait. However, worth the wait. The butter pecan is very good.

Love their pistachio and chocolate flavours. I only wish they had smaller sizes because i end up dumping half of it every single time.

The best assortment of flavors with your choice of a cup or waffle cone. I always get the coffee espresso and vanilla combo on a waffle cone. Im sure you will enjoy your combination and will come back for seconds.

Hands down best gelato in Laguna..! Dolce gelato is not even close, in quality or service.. As someone else said, it’s worth the wait. Be prepared for a line but they move it fast and the smell will drive you bonkers. For my family it’s part of our Laguna trips. The last thing we do every night..

Excellent gelato, comparable to that in Italy. Of course being in Laguna Beach, just as much a tourist attraction as one famous shop in Rome, that is long line to be expected. We were there at 4pm in the last weekend of the year an the wait is like 30 minutes! Recommend the pistachio (am partial to pistachio), peanut butter and rocky road. The service is good and friendly. Definitely a highlight for visitors to Laguna Beach.

The long queue was already a sign this was going to be the best Italian ice cream in town. And it definitely is!! Loads of flavors to choose from and the portions are massive (just like they do it in Italy!). They even make their own waffle cones which dont only make the shop and alley smell amazing but they taste so too!!!

Great location, close to others shops and restaurants! They have many flavors and you can get more than one flavor in a cup! I got the medium size cup but I think the small would’ve been enough! Love the amount of gelato you get in a small cup! Very satisfying!

Not many places are worth the gargantuan line, but this is definitely one of them. So many great flavors, such a friendly staff, and man oh man, that waffle smell. It just floats out from the parlor like a sirens song, its so good. Wherever youre having dinner in the area, save room for here!

40 min to get ice cream, super tasty. Definitely preferred the sorbetto more refreshing. Waffle cone is tasty. Strawberry sorbetto was amazing. Only for that flavor Out of the three I selected I’m giving 5 stars

It was well worth the waiting in line....best gelato we ever had!!! Staff was very friendly and generous on portions.

Obviously this place has never been to a Chick-fil-A and learned how to manage long lines. I mean just send someone out to take orders with a portable card reader and then have someone running the ice-cream out to them. You can serve 10X the amount of customers and prevent the amount of people walking away which is quite a few when we were standing there. Everything else is great. Price, serving size, and taste. However, the wait is absolutely ridiculous for some ice-cream. Its good but not 25 minutes of standing good.

This place was recommended by a dear friend. Our first trip to Laguna Beach. The gelato is definitely very tasty.

One of the best gelato spots in the OC. I HIGHLY recommend you drop in for some amazing gelato if you are passing through or nearby. I got the salted caramel gelato and it was amazing.

This is the best gelato Ive ever tried, and Im being honest! Theres always a line in front of the store, but it worth waiting: everything is moving fast, and I found it entertaining seeing hows gelato is made (as you can see it through the windows) and cons are made from fresh waffles. I miss my trip to California and this place especially. Hope to come back sometime 💗

OMG...this was the best gelato Ive ever had and Ive eaten gelato at many places. The gelato was SO flavorful. I didnt get any, I tried a little from everyone and they didnt want to share! I tried smores, mint chip, rocky road, pistachio, chocolate hazelnut and my sister in law had the panna cotta and she said shes obsessed with it. There was a line no doubt, but it moved quickly and was Totally worth the wait! Loved it!! If youre an ice cream or gelato lover, THIS is it...dont avoid it because of the line. Just be patient and youll be glad you waited!

Wow. Amazing. Like was incredibly long.... Basically to the sidewalk along the main street, but theyre fast so the line moved quickly. Were going back to this place every time were in Laguna Beach. Highly recommended. Dang. I finished the Gelato so fast I didnt get a chance to take a picture of it.

I always stop n get the chocolate dipped strawberries as long as theyre I. Season and you come by in the afternoon. The staff is really nice and helpful.

I actually told about this place to my boyfriend when we were in Ohio and we were sooo excited to try it! He got popcorn and it was definitely an interesting flavor! I had pistachio and it was amazing!!! Staff are very helpful and friendly.

I have never tasted such amazing Gelato in my ENTIRE LIFE! We went last night at around 8 pm and waited in line for probably a little less than an hour but it was so worth itI got tiramisu, strawberry and vanilla, my girlfriend got dolce de Leche and chocolate, every flavor tasted incredible 😍

Peppertree is a quaint and refreshing little corridor in downtown Laguna. This gelato shop is as legit as it gets. Tons of flavors from gelato to sorbet, all creations respect tradition and it shows. A must stop spot when your in the area.

You MUST have the fresh in-shop made waffle cones. Try the banana. Add the peanut butter. *heavenIt’s so good. We also tried the mint chocolate chip. It has tiny chocolate slivers that melt in your mouth.The staff is adorable and very helpful. Feel free to try as much as you want. And they’ll let you split your cone into 1/2 and 1/2

The weather was just right for some good gelato & I was pleasantly surprised at the results!Coming to Gelato Paradiso as mentioned in the initial email, parking is a bit tougher on the weekends as well as a decent sized line! I was lucky to find some parking, but would advise anyone coming here on the weekends to look for parking a bit further away rather than at the parking lot right next to the plaza. The line was a little confusing at first, but Id head towards the PCH side to usually find the end of the line and ask around as well (people were pretty nice and had a cute shiba in front of me to keep me entertained during the wait). Did note too that mask wearing was definitely super variable as a heads-up. The plaza itself is super homely and European // loved walking through and observing some of the other shops (including a very tempting chocolate shop that of course had their doors wide open for us to smell all the chocolate inside).Once you get to the shop entrance, theres a board with all the flavors / pricing awaiting you so you can make some quick decisions when youre inside. They are pretty good about social distancing once youre inside with everyone masked up and pretty quick about getting you through the experience without feeling like youre rushed. Dont forget that they have a tip jar too! Everyone inside was super nice.I got the piccolo (smallest cup) which you can pack in up to 4 flavors. I got 3 - the coffee / pistachio / mint. Excellent is definitely the word Id like to use. It wasnt overly sweet and had a nice texture and flavor. Havent had gelato in forever and definitely scratched that itch! The chocolate chips were plentiful as well as the pistachio nuts in each of those flavors. Plus I got to walk around the town with the beautiful sunset to the side of me.

Love this place! Their Gelato is super delicious so dont let the long line discourage you. And they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from and they also feature Flavor of the Month. My favorites are the Caffe and Double Chocolate mix.

Must try gelato place when visiting Laguna beach. Love their waffle corn! Usually a long line during weekends and holidays. There is indoor parking garage next to it. The rate is $3/hour or free after 6pm.

Gelato Paradiso is fully legit. With about 30 flavors of gelato and sorbeto its one of the best dessert choices in the area.I tried 3 flavors - the toasted almond, the chocolate and hazelnut and the dulce de leche. Best was the choc-nut followed by the almond. Dulce was not bad but not as good as the other 2. When asked Cup or Cone do yourself a favor and ask for the cone - its a tasty treat of its own.Would go there again and try more.

Really fast service, despite a line out the door (and our party of nine). Everything was tasty, and its all reasonably priced. Their homemade waffle cones were great, too. The seasonal flavor of Pumpkin Cheesecake was fantastic!

Stumbled on this quaint little shopped in Laguna Beach. The long line tempted us to try it. We were surprised by the speed of the line as it didnt take long before we were at the counter struggling to decide which flavor. Fortunately the staff were helpful and youre allowed to mix and match. We were absolutely blown away by the texture and taste! Since our visit, weve been trying our local shops who also boast of 4 and 5 star ratings. Not even close! (Guess not all stars are created equal.) Its a nearly 2 hour drive from our house but were planning another trip back just for the gelato... Consider the beach a bonus.

The employees were very nice and attentive. there are a lot of flavors to choose from and can taste them if you want. this gelato shop is a place where you walk in and out (not to seat down and enjoy), but i think thats fine since the beach is close by so might as well enjoy it by the ocean. the inside of the store was clean.

Tied for best gelato Ive had in the U.S. and even holds its own against shops in Rome, Florence, and Venice (no, not the touristy ones).Beware the size of the Grande. The young lady tried to warn me that its unusually large, but being an ice cream and gelato fanatic I assumed that warning only applied to normal people. I was wrong. The Grande is an obscene amount of gelato. I actually couldnt finish it and had to throw a bit away at the end--a first for me--bringing much shame upon myself and my family.If you are in the area and you like gelato, this place should be at the top of your list. It was on my list of must-return to places after the first bite.

The line down the alleyway speaks for itself! But trust me, as someone whos been here many times, know that the line moves along very quickly. The scent of their waffle cones will probably have you committed to waiting anyway. This is definitely our favorite gelato place ever, and it offers an incredibly cute/cozy environment in a way thats very unique for Laguna Beach.

I like to consider myself an ice cream afficiando, but well, its more that I LOOOOVE ice cream. So okay, I was a bit shocked to see the long line of people waiting at Gelato Paradiso ...but I once I took my first taste, I understood. AH-MAZING! This was THE BEST ice cream I have ever had. And to make things even better, the gentleman who served up this luscious confection, Zach, was an absolute doll! Gelato Paradiso definately deserves 5 stars in my book! And when you get there, ask for Zach! ☆☆☆☆☆
