Came here to buy Pokemon cards and it’s really a good shopping experience.

Castle Comics is a great place for those browsing for a gift (board games, etc.) or regular comic readers. The store is very organized, clean, and stocked. The associates are friendly and willing to help you find what you are looking for. I would recommend going here for your comic or game needs!

This place is amazing. I have gone here a couple times every year, and hope to keep coming back. The older woman is kind and even gave me a free starter deck for Magic the Gathering. I have sold plenty of cards here and getting half price back for the original listing is the highest compared to any other store in town. All of that said though, it is a little cluttered, and the newer lady seems to understand a reasonable amount about TCG’s, but also made me feel a little unwelcome with her harsher corrections if said something wrong about a game. I also wish they could buy larger collections of cards, but I understand that takes a lot of time to appraise and the market for larger collections in town isn’t all that big. Overall though I would say it’s an amazing store and a fun place to go.

I had no prior knowledge about comics and was very intimidated to go into a comic shop. They showed me what they had in stock, explained the volumes and collections they had, and told me how and where to look for more online. Very kind and I really appreciated their expertise

Small but filled w back issues, new comics, tons of miniature s and loads of games.... Back tables for table top games... A diamond in the rough like so many other comic shops..

This store has everything from comics, board games, card games, and miniatures! The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, my new favorite place to shop.

My family was visiting Lafayette and chose to check this shop out. It is just a little place that we found yugi cards and puzzles. They sell lots of comics and has its own game room. The staff is friendly and go there again

Amazing store, been coming here ever since I was a kid. Moved away a few years ago and came back to Indiana to visit. This was at the top of the list to come back and see everyone in the store again. Nicest people youll ever meet!

Ive been to a lot of comic shops, but this is honestly the best. Everyone who works there is amazing, and the older lady is so, so sweet. I never feel out of place coming here. There are a lot of really neat board games, manga straight out of Japan and toys galore. I would absolutely, 100%, recommend this store to everyone. I definitely will return to look at the manga, such a great resource for learning Japanese. Thank you so much :)

Has some of the weird things other game stores dont

Ive been coming to this store for a few years now. Im into magic the gathering. I havent been able to come for Friday night magic due to me being a father of 3 kids. I have brought my kids into this store a few times while I was looking at cards to buy. The little old lady here is awsome i love her to death. She gave my daughter some my little pony cards the first time I brought her in. I was just in last week and was looking for sleeves and deck boxes for my neice for her birthday. And yet again the little old lady gave me a deck of magic cards for her. But that is not the reason y I go there. Everyone is always friendly when Im there. I walked in the other day from not going there in over a year and they knew who I was even with my mask on. They have some much stuff here. I will continue shopping here for as long as they are open

Very nice, albeit a bit cluttered. Went here for Yugioh cards since there werent any anywhere else and they offered a few packs and a binder of singles to choose from. Employees were friendly and patient as well, so thats always a plus

I’ve just recently gotten into Magic because of my boyfriend. We’ve gone to so many big stores (Walmart, Meijer, Target) and we haven’t found anything worth getting to helping me get started. This place however is amazing! They have so much to pick from and have tons for beginners. They definitely have something for every stage of player. We’re so glad we came here and we’ll definitely be coming back! The little old lady is an absolute sweetheart as well!

Great selection! Found several older issues I had been looking for and couldnt find elsewhere.

I go here all the time, amazing staff that makes you feel at home.....However I just read Cs 1 star review, Really dude? I go there all the time, the only thing in the back is stock. Maybe you should smoke less pot before writing a review :) Itll help you keep reality.....well.....real lol.

Actually had time to stop by the local card shop. Castle Comics was a good place to shop at one time. They have Pokémon in stock. Why? Theyve marked their prices way up. When asked why, they told me that cards are not cheap. Sad. But if you need, they do Shining Fates ETBs for $10 over Ebay price. Yep $107 with tax. They also have $15 MSRP pin boxes for $30. Not complaining, but this market sucks. Scalpers suck, but when a card shop can buy below MSRP and then mark up 10% over normal market value, I have an issue with that. I will not buy, but Im sure they will have customers that will.

The staff here was so unbelievably helpful. They didn’t hover but yet we’re helpful. Comics are well sorted with many back issues that are cheap which are also very well sorted, I was in and out in six minutes with a bundle of comics. I would come back and I live an hour away!

Amazing place. Theyve got everything. Comics, Tabletop RPGs, Miniatures, Action Figures, and a huge selection of Board Games. Selection is great and prices are good too. Well worth a trip.

Great comic book store i loved it

I was in town visiting family, and stopped by to check out the store. Good atmosphere and great selection, including lots of older Games Workshop products. Roy was really nice and even put me in touch with someone to do plastic molding. I gave Roy a business card for the commission studio that I work for in NC, White Metal Games.

Remember coming here as a kid and when I was younger for all my comic book needs. They have soo much to choose from and always friendly service! Hope this place never closes! One of the best local businesses around!

One of the oldest and best gaming stores in town. It is a family owned & operated operation that goes out of their way to make you feel like part of the family. They provide exceptional service and will bend heaven & earth to get you what you want. I still have fond memories of my first time walking into Castle. It will forever be one of my favorite stores and an iconic part of Lafayette.Oh and they do comics.

They could have been better about their customer service, definitely go there if you are into comics and magic the gathering, not for anything else. Not going again.

Drove an hour from Indy to visit, they were the only store with Gloomhaven in stock. The owner was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome. If I lived closer this would be my FLGS of choice!

Product comes in later. Family owned. Family is nice except for one rude lady. Causes drama. And will call inappropriate names to someone she’s never met nor spoken to if she decides she doesn’t like them just by how they look or who they associate themselves with. Even if it’s a child, such as a 16 year old. Not to their face, but definitely loud enough 10 feet away to make sure you hear it and looking at you. Unprofessional.

Ill be honest. I dont live around here and so Ive only been able to visit Castle Comics once while on vacation. That being said, they had a pretty dang good selection of back issues when I visited. They had a wide variety of Marvel and DC as well as some smaller publishing companies and some manga. They also had some fascinating old games and action figures. The place is a little crowded though. And a little dusty. Still I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

The place for nerds, geeks, dweebs and dorks or all ages to find cool stuff. The majority of products are comic books, but there are also books, board games and card games, toys, action figures, both table-top and handheld puzzles. There is also a back room available for game nights with fellow game lovers. The only negatives I found was the lack of background music, hence absolute silence, the prices were high and the cashier did not speak English well, so she said very little.I would promote this establishment.

Ive always loved going in here. The place has been ran for years by the same Japanese lady named Sudaku. They sell playing cards, comics, collectible figurines, some clothing, many types of dice, etc. Definitely for the old school gamer.

I do enjoy this location but some of the prices are high on the older books. It is a tried and true comic store for me though. Customer service is amazing and the woman that runs the place is awesome to do business with. They even have game nights for Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Yugio and much more.

Very friendly staff! The store has tons of comics, miniatures and cards. The boardgame selection is okay. The staff has excellent knowledge in all fields of products they sell. I have played in many types of card events and miniatures events here and have been pleased with almost every event I have participated in, from event management, prize support and overall enjoyment. The only unpleasant factor is the store in quite cramped. During bigger events this can be a small issue, as it makes it a bit hard to move around. In all, I would definitely recommend both purchasing your games/comics here as well as playing them here as well.

Nerd heaven. As a female nerd I know that its just hard to find the right card, comic, action figures store where all the guys make you feel unwelcome. That is not the case here! This is a family run shop where mom and daughter make you feel welcome every time you would in and all the customers are great people. They never make you feel like a criminal and their customers always come first. For all you female nerds our their this is the place for you! There is n one out their that can put into words just how awesome this store is

This is a classic style nerd hole comic shop. Ambivalent staff, poor layout, uninviting appearance.There are a lot of things to peruse and buy, from tons of comics, new and old, random board games new and old, multiple editions of various RPGs, and a selection of dubiously curated miniatures games with partial lines from about a dozen various systems. (They had Chronopia figs, nib on the shelf, for FULL RETAIL PRICE. Chronopia has been out of print for almost 20 years.)And its all done in such a way to indicate the worst design flaws of the flea market style of stores.You can however score a sweet sun faded Lars Umläut Guitar Hero action figure for 30% off, so thats a thing.They may have an amazing subscription service. The owners may be wonderful human beings. They may know the name of every repeat customer. I dont know. I hope they do. That kind of stuff builds a loyal and enduring customer base.But my first and only impression of Castle Comics and Games is that it was a pit and I wanted to leave.
