Got my first tattoo at the Evil genius tattoo club and they were so understanding and answered my questions and when I had to reschedule my appointment they said that it was alright. I would like to also thank Alexis for taking my idea and flipping it upside down and improving it 💯 percent! I love it! So much better than what I had invisoned. I cannot recommend Evil Genius enough for your piercing needs! I got my nose pierced in September, and everyone there was extremely professional and welcoming. I was a little nervous, but Charly, the piercer, made me feel very, very comfortable. She explained every step before she did it, and made sure I was ready. I was well taken care of, and theyll have my business for future piercings and tattoos.

I got a tattoo from Eli Roe a month ago. It was a black and grey design about 2in on my upper left arm. It healed very well!Everyone in the shop was professional and friendly. I had a great experience both during my consultation session and tattoo session.Recommend!

I accompanied my friend to get his first tattoo and we were blown away. The shop is impeccably clean, and the vibes are very chill. I was perfectly happy sitting for three hours while my friend got inked because its a comfortable, relaxed space.The staff was great, and the artist/owner (Krist Karloff) did excellent work on the tattoo itself. My friend was totally at ease the entire time and is thrilled about the work Krist did.

Came in kind of nervous about getting the first tattoo. The staff was amazing and so nice, and Eli Roe is a great artist and a guy too. I was stiff and awkward but he was nice and very chill, helped me calm down too. Theyre also highly organized with appointments and how they handle check ins.

Everyone was so nice and chill. The shop was super clean and the music and atmosphere all together was so comforting. Eli did my tattoo and he had such a gentle hand and it went so much faster than I thought it would take! It was a great first tattoo experience and I would definitely chose him and the shop again if I decide to do another tattoo.

I got my first tattoo here in November of 2017 by Krist and didnt realize until recently (when I finally built up the courage to go and get it fixed by a different artist) how unfortunate my first experience actually was. Scheduling was a challenge as there were a couple appointments that had to be rescheduled, which I understand when you are going to an artist who has such high demand. I really loved the tattoos of his I saw on line so I gave him a lot of artistic freedom. Basically whatever he thought would look nice or be fun to do. I asked for water color flowers, but left the rest up to him.When my tattoo was finished (top of my foot) I was in PAIN. I know tattoos hurt, but I couldnt put any weight on my foot for WEEKS. I work in healthcare so I know how to properly care for open wounds and I followed all their instructions, down to the letter, even buying the exact products they recommend and sell. My foot ended up swelling up huge, even weeks after the tattoo, and I have very large, very deep scabs. There was a lot of skin trauma. Even after a month, my foot would be fine in the morning, and after being awake and walking around for only a little bit, the bones in the top of my foot would hurt pretty bad. When the swelling mostly went down and the tattoo healed (about 6 weeks) I reached back out for a touch up session. I know he is busy as an artist but It took a LONG time for him to respond, a month after the first email, then three weeks, then another two etc. I was offered a date (the 24th) but no clarification on which month. I had to reach out again to figure out when it would be. I live out of town so I had to know in advance so I could drive back in.After some back an fourth I got a date. I made the drive to Lafayette (about 3.5 hours) and FIFTEEN minutes before my appointment time (after driving to Lafayette) I got a call from the shop that Krist left for the day, and that he would reschedule with me. I turned around to go home and I never heard from the shop again. I reached out one more time a few months later and got no response. I vowed I would never get a tattoo again because I thought the entire process I went through was normal.It wasnt until recently that I built up the courage to go to a different artist to see if they would be willing to attempt a coverup, because ultimately I was left with a tattoo that I was unhappy with and frankly didnt look good. I went to this other artist and he did a full coverup, and my experience was so different. It didnt hurt at all compared to the first time through, I was comfortable walking right after it was done, it healed (what I know realize is) normally.All in all, 1300 dollars was a lot for me to spend on a tattoo to have that be the experience. I would expect with a high dollar price tag a high dollar product, and unfortunately for me personally, I didnt get to have that experience.I attached photos of the original tattoo immediately after and during healing for reference

I went to Evil Genius for the first time ever to get a tragus and helix piercing. I liked the friendly/relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was professional. I received an apprentice piercing from Sam with Charly observing and guiding. Again it was a relaxed experience. They were both super friendly, professional and answered all my questions. I love that they follow APP standards for a clean and sterile environment. I would definitely recommend Sam or Charly for a piercing!

Overall it was a good experience, everyone was nice and friendly. i had 3 tattoos prior and never needed numbing cream not even for my shin but with the tattoo i got it was a little more painful, they offered me their TAC it worked really well. however i do think it was a little expensive for it being 20$ for a small packet. Also, there was a bit of difficulties with my scheduling but they were able to get me in quickly after that issue.

I went here for my tattoo and my artist Eli was amazing! He was very professional, gave me some breaks to help me along and told me some good ideas for my next one. I will definitely be back to get more tattoos in the future!

I got my eyebrow pierced by Charly and her apprentice Samantha. The shop was clean and very unique, I was super impressed by it. Charly and samantha where warm and very comforting they treated me like we were best friends☺. I was very glad I chose Evil Genius!

My daughter had been wanting to get her ears pierced for awhile now. I looked around town and read reviews to land on this shop and Im glad I did. For someone that is younger they first sit down with them to make sure they understand the process and arent scared to proceed. Charly did a great job calming my daughters nerves, carefully explaining each step and took her time to make sure everything was right. I highly recommend this shop if you are looking for piercings, especially for a younger child.

So I have had a few Tattoos by Soldier Mike he has done an amazing job on a cover-up the pictures are down below. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family, my husband also goes we both have enjoyed all the work that he has had done. Soldier Mike does not just do a fast job he actually cares about his work, and wants only the best to come out of the shop.Thank you Mike🤗 these are the after pictures soon as I find the before picture I will definitely post it. I think a little bit of touch up is due from some black lines coming through but otherwise an amazing job. The tattoo on my chest turn my wounds into wisdom was new not a cover-up, and I am looking forward to getting more added to it thanks to the best shop in Lafayette. I got my first tattoo yesterday with flip and while he did an *okay* job (edit: after allowing it to heal, I noticed one of the small circles on the tattoo wasnt completely filled and the circle wasnt even round like the other two - I added two pics for reference. one good circle and the bad circle), he was extremely uninterested and almost rude. my consult with him lasted maybe 10 mins and he simply asked what I wanted without asking anymore questions. also, what an insane price between the deposit and tattoo! I got such a small tattoo, one color (black), and it took maybe two minutes to complete for $157? I will never get a tattoo done by him ever again. he treated me like an inconvenience the entire time. definitely regret picking him as my artist.

Even with Covid spoiling a lot of things, Evil Genius still manages to serve their customers in a safe and professional manner. I never have to be worried about the level of quality/performance of the artists there and I enjoy chatting with other clients there too. Its a great place to nerd out and be yourself while getting great quality ink! Thank you as usual guys! Youre the best.

I had the worst tattoo experience of my life today. I found Krist Karloff on Instagram and loved his watercolor style as soon as I saw it, so I set up an appointment with him over a month ago, describing exactly the piece I wanted tattooed in his questionnaire he sends out. It was going to be a large piece that I expected to take about 6-8 hours if not more. When I booked I assumed we were all on the same page that it would be a full day session.I live in Tennessee, so I had to take off work and plan a weekend trip up to Lafayette. A few hours before my appointment, I got a call from Krist’s assistant telling me I would not be able to get my entire piece finished today because only a half day had been scheduled and that I could either reschedule for a full day in a few months or come in and discuss the piece. Apparently they decided I only wanted to schedule a half day because of the budget I entered in his questionnaire. This was just a lack of communication, but it should’ve been clearly communicated in the booking process what I was being scheduled for, instead of confirming a day into my weekend trip and a few hours before my appointment. Anyway I figured I’d cut my losses and try to get half the piece or so done since I already paid my deposit and booked two Airbnb’s to stay at for the weekend.Got to the shop at 3, and Krist had no sketch or design ready for the piece I described in my emails months before. 4 o’clock rolls around and he comes out to show me a design that didn’t consider anything I described in my emails. I tried to explain it to him on the spot, and he went back to his office. 4:45 he comes back out with almost the same exact design as 45 minutes ago, still disregarding what I actually wanted. Almost 2 hours into my 4 hour session and I’m still waiting in the lobby. I decided not to move forward with a piece he clearly didn’t want to do. I asked for my deposit back since all of the factors that contributed to me not getting the tattoo were out of my control. “I don’t refund deposits” is all he had to say.Very unprofessional between both Krist and his assistant.The shop was extremely clean and nice inside though, and they played some great music, but that’s about all the good I have to say about Evil Genius.

Been here so many times for piercings and Charly has been awesome to work with. She’s always nice and I never judged about being there or like I wouldn’t belong in there. They are doing really well with checking temperatures and hand washing before you go in too and not to mention really beautiful jewelry for piercings.

I lost my big sister back in July. I knew I wanted her signature on my wrist. I actually cried when Eli was done. It is exactly what I pictured in my head and he was able to do it in about 5 minutes. Krist was my artist. He was an hour late to my consultation, and almost 2 hours late for my tattoo, and rescheduled finishing my tattoo twice before I gave up on him. He is a great artist but not worth the headache he will give you.

Ive had 3 tattoos done here so far and they all turned out beautifully! The artists are friendly, the shop is clean, and I will DEFINITELY be coming back! It is a little on the pricey side, but in my opinion the work is worth it!

Absolutely the worst customer service and tattoo shop I have been to in my 20 years of getting tattoos. I would not recommend. I never got my deposit back for a unfinished messed up tattoo. The owner had an attitude that his time was more valuable than mine. He never communicated with me even though I called several times to talk to him about my tattoo. It was his artist that messed up my tattoo and the owner Krist took over because of it then Krist didnt even follow through. The art work is sub-par for the amount you pay. Again customer service was extremely poor. The scheduling is the worst I have ever dealt with. Constantly came up with excuses as to why they forgot I was scheduled, they scheduled construction during my appt so they canceled, etc. KRIST was extremely unprofessional. He wouldnt take responsibility for his employees or his work. Krist even left me laying on the table while he went to talk to some guy outside.. for a whole hour. Btw he charged me for that time.

Flip did amazing work and was happy to adjust the design exactly the way I wanted it.The pic is from the day I got it so the clear adhesive bandage is on. Its difficult to tell but the words are aligned with scars on my wrist. Its been a week and its healing wonderfully.

Went to get tattooed and was certain the man was drunk while tattooing me.... took 45 minute smoke breaks and lasted way longer than it needed to. Came in to get the tattoo finished and someone else there ended up just reworking it. It turns out, the artist was fired later, so I figured we would give them more chances since they were obviously trying to resolve the problem (even the reworking appointment was also a nightmare because the artist was acting like a jerk the whole time - taking his anger on the other artist out on me with his poor attitude). You simply cannot escape the endless sexual jokes and uncomfortable banter from the artists. Definitely a shop that not all clients will feel comfortable in and strongly a tattooer boys club atmosphere that is not female friendly. I brought my friend in to get her first tattoo and between the two artists sexual jokes (TOWARDS HER), she walked out almost in tears. And let me clarify, I have been to this shop a total of nearly 7 times and it gradually got much much worse each visit. The final straw was my sister going for a piercing on the bridge of her nose and ending up have to get it removed that day by another shop, because it was very crooked (vertically and horizontally). I am not one to leave a nasty review and I gave them many many chances. I am normally an incredibly understanding person who gives people the benefit of the doubt until the end of time, but I have had SO many concerning experiences here, I would be remiss if I didnt provide my input for others. And I have had more bad experiences that I am not going to take the time to type.

I had my septum pierced by Charly it was amazing!!! She is professional and friendly. I love my piercing so much. The shop is super clean and they asked me to wash my hands after entering. They made me feel so welcomed. Charly explained her procedures and washed her hands multiple times. She did it free hand which, at first I was skeptical about since all the clamp videos on YouTube. But the outcome was so great. Bought a saline solution too. By far the best piercing experience!!!Got a nostril!!! Love the flat back jewelry!!!Got a tragus!!! The positioning is wonderful!!!

Everyone in the shop had a great attitude, everything was super clean and they were very serious about keeping everything sanitary. My artist was Eli, he did an amazing job taking a basic idea and turning to into an outstanding tattoo. Everyone was great to talk to and it was cool to see some amazing tattoos come to life while waiting or getting yours worked on. Would highly recommend to experienced and first timers alike.

Everybody was so amazing! They went above and beyond keeping the place clean, and Charly talked me through absolutely everything and made my piercing as quick and painless as possible.

After two sessions costing me $1,000 (+250 for a tip) I had my last session (approximate hour long finish up/touch up session) scheduled a couple days before shut down for covid 19 and was told it will be free of charge, I was pumped about that & just planned on leaving another $100 for a tip. I call to reschedule after they re-opened and they now tell me theyre going to charge me cause the guy that did my tattoo quit... Now my tattoo in memory of my father who just passed away is unfinished, I refuse to go back there cause thats shady and extremely unprofessional! GO ELSEWHERE!

Unbelievably unprofessional experience with my artist. Firstly, he tried to have me pay and leave with an unfinished tattoo. An argument was necessary for him to say that the piece was not finished and agree to do a second session. Secondly, he charged me what I said my absolute maximum price could be (should have expected that). Thirdly, I showed up to my second appointment to be told he is out of town and would have to reschedule (and be put at the back of his waiting list). Months later, I show up to my rescheduled appointment only to wait in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours, expecting to be blown off again. I was terribly afraid I would not get a finished piece. Would not recommend.

So far Ive had a piercing and a back piece done here, and both times its gone as smoothly as possible. I came in with a rough idea of what I wanted, and Davion was extremely helpful. I was very disappointed in the way Eli R. acted towards my wife. Was very rude the entire time she was in the back to get it set up. He kept saying “I hate this” and how he was never gonna do “something like this again” and “I don’t have time for this.” Lots of very unprofessional comments. He loved the idea for our consolation and when we got there, if he bit off more than he could chew he should have just been honest from the get go. (This would of been her first tattoo and he totally ruined the entire experience of it for her.) As he started getting more agitated he started handling her arm in the same manner and even left a red thumbprint on her inner forearm. A very bad and sad experience from someone who we thought would be our go to tattoo guy. Clearly thought wrong.

This is the only place I will go from here on out. The treat u like family. I got my front neck tat started and it looks amazing and they good price. I have tattoos from a bunch of shops and Im most happy with these guys they will finish the rest of my tattoos their amazing tattoo family.

The artist took my original idea, and made it into something way better than I had previously envisioned! I didnt receive any services, however I went in with a friend who was getting pierced by Charly. I was blown away by the atmosphere of the club but also the friendliness, professionalism & expertise of not only Charly but ever staffer I interacted with. I went an had Soldier Mike do my very first tattoo. I came in with a very crappy drawing and Mike turned it into something Im proud to wear. We got back relatively quick and Mike just made the entire experience very relaxed. He just talked and made jokes the whole time. He did really great keeping my arm cleaned up and had no problem tattooing me with a bleeding disorder and said not to hesitate to call with any questions. Definitely recommend and we will be back.

SCAM!!!! This place will take your deposit for a tattoo and never provide any services for you. They feel protected by a small disclosure on their receipt that says Deposits are non-refundable They made me put down a deposit to save my spot for my tattoo. They mis-scheduled my appointment and made no attempt to fix the situation. Not even reschedule the time they had mistakenly scheduled me for because Id still be at work and would not be able to make the appointment. They blocked my messages, wasted my time, took my money, and were completely disrespectful! This place gives local tattoo shops a bad name please spend your HARD EARNED MONEY some where else!

Got a tat from Krist and Im pretty sure I got more compliments on my new tattoo at my wedding recently than my dress! Amazing work and a fun bunch of guys at the shop to chit chat with while you get your work done. I drove 3.5 hours to this shop and it was 100% worth it.
