Had a great experience with this company today Isabella and Sandra were such great help they both helped me with different items I was looking for. They even went above and beyond and asked if any item was needed they would call around to find my sizes. Just an overall enjoyable experience Ill be shopping here more often for sure

Great customer service! I was immediately greeted as I entered through the front door. Facility was clean and well maintained. I was looking for hiking boots for which they had a great selection. I was also asked by the young gentleman there if I needed help when looking for shoes. This location has good old American customer service that is so missed by big dept stores. They have a return customer.

I have been going here for 5 years for really one reason… to buy wrestling shoes to donate to young athletes that don’t have any. Each year I buy on average 12 pair.Yesterday I went in to buy 3 pair and asked if they would give me a discount (they have EVERY other time) of 10% off or the last sale price. They said no. No one was allowed to make a decision except the main manager who obviously didn’t empower her employees to make even the smallest decisions on their own.I paid full price and when I went to my truck I got out my phone and Googled “Big 5 Reviews”. I was going to leave this review yesterday. When I did… a coupon for 20% off popped up. I walked back in… got my refund and let the girl know I wasn’t happy. She didn’t care.The sad part: I had to return today to buy another pair. I simply paid the price and left.

Normally this place is great...but today they were just flat out rude. Maybe they are not used to being busy after the covid slow down. Barkin at customers, moving back and forth between registers, utterly nonsense. What happened to Customer Service???

We went shopping for new hiking boots. Jeffery was so patient and helpful. She listened to us and suggested boots that were what we were asking for and on sale.We both left with perfect new hiking boots and big smiles on our faces!!!!!!!

One of my favorite stores in the valley to bad they dont keep up with their inventory like the one in Coachella but great place to buy gear.

Good items but when you enter the store you always get judged by the workers very sad and bad vibe but them. I’ll try a different location because never again am I entering this store in this location :/

The nice young lady behind the gun counter helped me sign up to get ammo.. very professional.. fast.. and although they didnt have all the ammo I needed they get five stars because she did her job with a good attitude.. thank you young lady

Bad customer service. They think they know better than the health professionals. Looks like theyre gonna go by the way side with their poor choice deciding to go against the law. The last sporting goods store that tried to impose their will on the public paid the price. Big 5 cant afford it.

Learn from your competitors, when you try to impose your will on your customers your profits lose. You do not make the laws in this country. After being told that I have to where a mask to shop in your store because thats what the company said. Well the law says I dont have to. So I will take my money and shop at a store that wants my money. I will no longer shop at big 5 ever. I hope you dont lose to much profits because it would be ashamed if you had to lay off your very rude employees..

Poor management. They have bad additudes. They make you feel you need to rush.

Its a standard Big 5. Not bad. Good place to get a deal on work shoes or sports equipment that you forgot to order online and now its too late. Clean store, often very few customers, but the employees are helpful. Kind of in a dead shopping center, but thats hardly their fault. Not the best lit place at night. Just some information to consider.

Even though is a small sporting store it has quite a selection of sporting items to chose from.

When I have a few hours to shop for Tenney shoes, check out the different sporting goods Im at Big fives

Good deal on shoes when they have a sale on top of their sale items. But otherwise everything is so overpriced if you can find what you are looking for anywhere else go there. I did find some water shoes for a reasonable price.

Called in advance for a limited item which they had one left. They out it aside for me to pickup within an hour. Arrived and there it was. Did a little looking around and purchased additional items. Many thanks to the younglady that reserved this item for me.

They got 3verything you need. I spent a whole 3 days looking for goggles all over indio. When finally someone suggested big five. Sure enough I found some great speedo goggles. Now I can get back to my swimming. The price where ok. I needed them so dint mind paying. But Im sure I could have found them for a better price. Idk Im happy with it.

Called ahead of time for an item, they said yes they carried it. When I got there they didnt have the item I asked for on the phone a total inconvenience for me and my son

After borrowing a larger vehicle to make a large purchase at the La Quinta Big 5 I was met with incompetence on the part of the store management. Spent 25 minutes trying to get some assistance. The poor checker was busy ringing people up, the shoe person was hustling shoes while the manager sat in his tiny office too bothered by customers to make a sale or assist anyone. He only came out when prompted by the cashier then slam, back in his hole.... CRAPPY MANAGEMENT....6-30-2014 at 10AM

Not enough staff while I was there to get any help, but they did have nice people working there.got a great sleeping bag at a bargain price.

I encountered one of those situations where there were about 10 in line at the register. You would hope that some of the less-busy employees would see that and open another register. It didnt happen. It took way too long to checkout and no one seemed to care.
