My daughter sent me a package overnight with my prescriptions that I needed desperately to avoid withdrawal‘s. I didn’t receive it for two days. The UPS store in La Plata, I spoke to a supervisor and he wanted to argue with me about the refund Because of the holiday season. I’m sorry October 11 is nowhere close to the holiday season. So he said I will pay it to you out of my pocket and hung the phone up on me. This is very poor customer service.

We have had the best experiences working with Mr. B at the LaPlata location 5006. Mr. B has always been very helpful in packing and shipping our packages. He has gone out of his way to help with odd items that needed to be shipped safely. I would highly suggest that Mr. B. is an asset for UPS. He cares about his customers and about all who come through these doors. Thank you Mr. Braylon Patterson for your professional services. You are appreciated.

Braylon has the worst customer service attitude that I have ever experienced. I walked in door at 4:45 looking to make copies. There was one other customer. First you couldn’t hear him through the mask but I clearly heard him mutter that it always happens he gets lots of customers near closing time. He was totally disrespectful and unhelpful to the man who was trying to send 2 large packages. The he turned to me and when I told him copies he stated that he always shuts of copiers early. I noted that they were shut off but he did turn one back on. However he didn’t ask if I needed any help. The first man walked out of there totally aggravated and told him he hoped he got a better attitude after the weekend. Then another person walked into ship a couple of packages. Again he was totally disagreeable and unhelpful. She wanted a better box and packing material. He was rude and told her she needed to come back. A third customer came in to ask about laminating. He was told he would have to come back. I finished and when I asked about the total bill which was higher than what I had just paid at another store, he was very rude. By the way my bill was $10.00 more at this store for the same exact print job. However, another person walked in, someone that used a mailbox and Braylon was. Nice and courteous to him including getting his mail for him while he left me standing on the counter waiting for him to finish my transaction. At this point I will not frequent this store again. I didn’t deserve to be treated as I was since I was already having a bad day. I’m sorry that he had to take care of questions up until the stated closing time. None of us in that store at the time deserved to be treated the way we were. I hope for his sake that he manages to get a change of attitude before he waits on customers near the closing time again,

I frequent the UPS store, La Plata location, weekly to return Amazon packages. Every visit Braylon greets me with kind words and timely service. He is always very professional and courteous, even when the store is extremely busy. I will actually go out of my way on occasion to use the La Plata UPS location because I prefer his excellent customer service over any other location. I wish there were more employees like him in retail.

I was very happy with the service that Braylon gave me. I was mailing 4 of my own paintings back to Arizona and was concerned about how well they would survive the trip. Braylon did a superb job, taking great care to pack them so that they arrived (in less than a week, using Ground) in perfect shape. He gave me excellent advice on the best way to ship them. He was also very pleasant and sensitive to work with, prepping me so that I knew that the shipping might not be super cheap (I was prepared for that)--which I really appreciated, but that he would be sure they were packed correctly. This store is always busy. No matter what time of day I pop in. there always seems to be a line and sometimes a considerable wait BUT with that said, the staff works extra hard to help everyone, always calm under pressure and professional no matter how customers treat them.

I was having a little crisis without my phone and the kind gentleman (I believe the owner) helped me by letting me use the phone. He even offered to let me use his cell. I faced a very time sensitive issue this morning (6/25) with a package that required it to be returned back to me immediately. The person (apologize, never got her name) was extremely professional, understood the complexity of the situation and within 15 minutes had my problem solved. Saved me over a thousand dollars in potential fraudulent actions. In this day and age where customer service seems to go by the wayside, she proved that there are still people willing to go out of their way to help. Great store, used this location many times. Definitely recommend.

Rude, unprofessional and appears to be bothered by questions. 1st off buddy never throw anything at your customers. I dont care if its only a pen. Yes this guy (manager) literally tossed a pen at me across the room! Im 68yrs old dont throw anything to me place it on the counter. Hopefully someone from corporate can train you better. Obviously i dont recommend this location and will never spend money here again.

The young Man that was working this afternoon was quite polite and helpful, but the Woman who was there that interjected into our discussion was quite rude, had a terrible attitude and zero customer service skills. My Son had also told me she was extremely rude and disrespectful to him when he came into the store prior to me. At first I thought he was exaggerating, but after my experience I know he was not. Im sure she will be pleased tp know that will be our last visit. I would guess I wasnt the first or last person to make that decision.

Antoinette “Toni” Marie Stonestreet is a model employee for the UPS Store at La Plata, Maryland. Toni was swamped with customers lined up from counter to the front of the store. Toni treated every customer who walked through the door with respect, compassion, and professionalism that made everyone feel welcome and belong from first-timer to regular daily customers. Toni took care of every single of customers, got what they asked for by verifying with customers. In the middle of a busy business, Toni managed to teach fellow employees, Joshua, the rope, and proper usage of the point of sale system. If there were a rating scale range from one to ten, I would give a perfect TEN. Definitely coming back and highly recommend anyone who needs a UPS service.

Toni is fantastic at the La Plata (5006) location couple doors down from Caesar’s Pizza.She was professional, fast, funny and on the frontline lines of this pandemic making sure our packages get out.Even though she’d never say it, I think her only wish would be that people would come before closing. While she tries to help that person who shows up at 6:01, there’s always someone else at the door at 6:05, 6:15 and weekends are worse.So go see Toni, laugh with her, just be there ON TIME. These people who work and probably not for a lot of $$, deserve to go home to be with their families too!Thanks Toni, I really appreciated your GREAT SERVICE!

This is a wonderful location. Please give them your business so they can continue to serve our community so well. We printed 30 copies of a 12 page full color document on glossy paper here for 1/3 of quotes from other businesses. We waited less than 30 minutes for the completed job and were treated extremely well. Wonderful location!

I just spent 20 minutes in this store attempting to sign up for a mailbox. The young man assisting me was a perfect gentleman. The store manager was hostile and abrupt. I completed paperwork for the box, the young man gave me a key. I tried the key to the box and the key did not open the box. The manager tells me that I HAVE TO COME BACK TO THE STORE another day to get a key???... but you charged me for a key that I do not have, AND i am inconvenienced in having to come back?? The manager abruptly said “I get you a key right now “.. he went to the back of the store brought out another key to a DIFFERENT box and opened the different numbered box and handed me that key... telling me he was going to rekey MY original box lock...ALL with seething hostility. Needless to say i asked him to refund my credit card payment and i will take my business elsewhere!!

I had to get some paperwork notarized, but I’d never had to do so before, so I had no clue how it worked or what I was doing. The notary here was phenomenal, and made everything super quick and easy. If I ever have to do this again, I’m absolutely coming back here.

Today I went into the store he greeted me fine when I showed him my receipt he told me to read it then asked me do I know how to read he said that wasnt the right one he went to talk to talking to someone from his family as a guess I pulled up a different receipt and again he said read it then said he couldnt scan it after i asked did I read this one right he proceeded to read aloud to me like I couldnt read and said I had to print it for $2.50 and pay for it I said Amazon said I didnt have to pay just bring it he was upset and said I had to pay.

I wanted to print out a label for my package and the guy said I could email it or use their computer....I didn’t use the computer only emailed the label to them and he charged me as if I used the computer at $2.50 for a a freakin label really!!! He proceeded to argue that for using the computer it was a 2.50 charge wow what horrible customer service.

Last week, my 83 year old Grandma went to the store to get a paper notarized. It was fantastic! The gentleman was kind, understanding, and very respectful. However, today, we recieved the exact opposite of that customer service.As we entered the store and stayed what we needed, thinking this would be as easy as last time, the man behind the counter could not get his hand out of his pocket, jiggling it around. He stated, after looking at the paper, he was unable to notarize the document, per Maryland law...strange, since last week someone notarized the same document...when we told him this, he said that was not possible. When we explained some more, he said he would not sign it (after touching himself through his pants some more and admitting he was lying that he couldnt sign it). I asked for a manager, he gave me a card which rang the store. It was then abundantly clear that this man was not going to help us women so we left. In no way, shape or form, would I EVER suggest using this location.

My husband took a package to be shipped to Amazon, labels and all on Tuesday, July 9th 2019. He received the receipt and as of yet UPS has no tracking of this package. I called and the person stated that they would call me back and didnt. Very, very disappointed. I called again and spoke with the manager. He did call back to check on the return. Amazon received them today, July 19th. That is 10 days.🙁

I use this store on a regular basis for printing business letters and flyers for our business Welch Logging. Harjit, the owner, has been super helpful since I contacted him last year about his price for color copies. I was making numerous calls to find the best price and this store is the cheapest price in town! The owner is very friendly and always greets his customers warmly. He even knows many of them by name. The service provided is always top notch and my copies are done quickly and professionally. I HIGHLY recommend this store!

The owner was very rude & disrespectful. He wanted to fuss and I wanted my document notarized but he started helping the man behind me. I pointed out that I was next & he said “I can help anyone I want.” If I did not need this done I wouldn’t have patronized his business. And he never gave us the oath to notarize the document.This rating is way too high! Where are the negative (-5) ratings?

Extremely disappointed. I called before heading to the store to make sure a notry republic was on site. Given the time was about 45min before they closed I told him I was on my way. I arrived 5 min before closing and he said it was to late it would take to long that I can come back tomorrow at 9:00am!! I just drove 40 min 1 way so 1 1/2 hours round trip for nothing!! I told him I spoke which him on the phone and he persisted it was to late. I will never ever return here and steer everyone else possible away from here. Extremely rude and for a noterized letter if I needed to be there by a certain time you should of stated so. Dont matter really it wont ever happen again to me anyways

They charged me 26 dollars to ship a less than five pound package to Minnesota, including a 2 dollar charge to slap some tape on a box. The guy at the counter went out of his way to charge me as much as he could. I was so shocked I didnt think to just pull my box off the counter and go elsewhere. I contacted UPS to lodge a complaint and they told me that their franchisees can essentially do and charge what they want. A horrible business model, and UPS has forever lost my business.

I use this store on a regular basis, almost weekly for the past month while I have been on a job search. My scanner at home is not as reliable as it could be and I count on the UPS Store for their various services. I am always met with a smile and a pleasant greeting. Some times there is a wait but honestly, it is ok, when Harjit gets to me, he always gets the job done.

The few times I have visited this store, its been ok. Yesterday I was absolutely outraged by the service. A home building company had sent me a pre-filled out and signed, label with a return envelope to overnight our signed documents via UPS. This envelop weighed 0.5 ounces.I handed it to a man at the La Plata store who was wearing a turban. He looked at it, typed some things on his computer then tells me (through a heavy accent) that he cannot accept this because the account number is hand-written; then tells me to go to Waldorf. A bit frustrated I explained that the company sent it like that, that it was pre-filled out. He repeats what he said, as if not understanding what Im saying. In more frustration I ask what I need to do to send it, it needs to go right now. He repeats himself again.Now I have anger in my voice when I ask again, what do I need to do to pay for this and send it. Hes clearly annoyed and goes to his computer. Im sending this 0.5 ounce envelope from 20622 to 32513... Maryland to Florida, overnight. He tells me $62.00+. Excuse me?? Youre kidding??? Whats the next option? He tells me $32.00.Needless to say, I asked for my envelope back, said thank you with a bit of anger, through gritted teeth and left.I took the envelope to the Charlotte Hall UPS. They said the label was fine, they send them out like that all the time and if I had sent it myself, it MAY HAVE cost me $27 to overnight, if that.I will NEVER go to back to the La Plata store.
