Target has been remodeled over the past year and is looking great inside. They have some great deals on snack foods but at times youll do better going next door to Safeway. (Safeway has more house brands.) You cant beat Target for getting your imagination flowing for projects, diversions, and decorating though! During the pandemic, the store profited from online shopping orders. Expect to see that kind of service expanding going forward. They continue to face staff shortages. Teens report enjoying working here as compared to Safeway because it pays better and offers more structure and training. Having a Target was a good selling point for us when we moved to La Plata.

I visited the LaPlata MD Target this am and I must say I had a great experience! Store looked 100% ready for business and all of the staff as I walked around and shopped greeted me! Solomon helped me find one thing I couldn’t locate and he did it with a smile!! The young lady in Starbucks was awesome also!

Love the drive up pick up. This is something good that came out of the Pandemic. This keeps me from buying items not on my list and from lugging items from the store to the cart to the car. It also makes live simpler when you have kids to get in and out of the car. Thanks Target for stepping up and finding ways to serve us while keeping everyone save. La Plata Target is doing a great job with this new service.

This service is FANTASTIC. Orders are filled quickly and when I pull up my order is bought out quickly and the staff members that brings it out is ALWAYS friendly and polite. Wouldnt change a thing. LOVE IT!

I believe Target has improved its customer service practices. I believe your choices in most products meet the needs of your customers as well as the cost associated with these products.

I came in, grabbed a few things that I needed and was able to check out quickly. Love the convenience.

It is very convenient and safer for everyone during this time. My only complaint is that they dont let you know if some items are unavailable until your order is ready. I wish they would have an acceptable substitutions option when ordering to prevent picking up items only to have to go in or go to another store to make sure you have everything you need. Other than that, this busy mama loves her some Target Drive Up and Go.

First off I’d like to say the kids section is awesome. When it comes to the grown women section it looks like I went back in time. Nothing is cute. On top of all that if I happen to find something exceptional, you can’t even try it on. Do better Target. The boho flower chic has got to go. It’s old and tired.

Picking up my online order was quick and the person that assisted me was so nice. I like that it is right inside the door so you dont have to go to the back just to pick up your order

Horrible management. Horrible cashiers. Stole two gift cards from me - they werent in the bags when I got home. Management refused to take responsibility. Refused to help. Disgraceful. Check your bags every time you leave here, the cashiers steal. Better yet, dont shop here.

Target has a much nicer atmosphere and shopping experience then other stores. You are also still disinfecting the shopping carts for patrons and I really appreciate the efforts that your employees are taking to help make everyone feel a little better about the current situation that we are all living through. The prices are comparable to other stores, Walmart being the main competition. Thank you for all you are doing for your employees and customers. I am happy to shop at Target and will continue.

Great curbside pick up experience. Although they were unable to find an item, they were nice and gave me a gift card. Im an understanding person and have worked retail for awhile. Anyway, curbside is an easy and safe expirence.

Don’t have products out that you can’t sell. Why would you have a product out that you can’t sell until May 1, 2021 at 2 am in December? It makes absolutely no sense and you all need to handle situations like this better.

1 star review only because the eggs I purchased today displayed a sell by date of 7-22-2020. I googled sell by dates and the results were :Sell-By date tells the store how long to display the product for sale for inventory management. It is not a safety date. A “Use-By date is the last date recommended for the use of the product while at peak quality. ... A “Freeze-By” date indicates when a product should be frozen to maintain peak quality.I am going back to return my eggs.

This location is very well operated. Everything is clean, the shelves are stocked fully, and the staff is very nice.

Great service, the young lady in self checkout today was awesome. I cant remember her name .. Shawne . I think.. I was originally in the 4th checkout line but notice the young lady handing a bag to the customer... no gloves😳😳... and they made hand contact. So, I move to self checkout. I asked the young lady working that area about the glovelessness of her co worker😔😷.. she did explain it wasnt required. I still felt better in self checkout since she was thorough cleaning the station after each customer and wearing gloves. She also helped me sign up and actually demonstrated how the target circle works... love love... she was awesome! I will be back because of her. GREAT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE....Thanks young lady! 🤗

Pickup is right inside front door. Associate was very pleasant & polite. Great customer service.

The workers were very polite and friendly. Found all the items i needed with no problems. The board game section could have a better variety but all in all a satisfying trip.

The ease of ordering on your app and receiving notification that your purchase is ready. Upon arriving to the store and going through the verification process, a customer can leave with the merchandise within 5 minutes. No frill, No fuss.

Hello I would like to say I have been coming to this location since the pandemic to find needed items I have found much needed items and I appreciate that but I didnt appreciate last week they had disinfectant wipes they were giving out instead of giving you 1 twin pack the pack was broken and you was given 1 out the pack the Waldorf target gives you 1 twin pack other than that the store is clean the management team is very nice the store is very organized and I will continue to drive 1 hr to shop here.

This target is constantly out of stock of pretty much everything. I have started avoiding shopping at it because they have nothing I need.The food court has never once been open when I have attempted to shop there and there is always a long line and barely any check out stations open. On a good day maybe 2 are open.

Customer ServiceAnother example of great customer service. Checking out our groceries around 3:00pm. Finding only One register open & a long line. The young lady in charge saw the situation and responded by opening TWO registers.

Currently my local Target is being revamped or renovated. Unfortunately, this means it is extremely difficult to find products, as every time I go products are shifted again. Today I couldnt even use the Target app with my RedCard; the self checkout refused to accept my payment. The associate told me they are updating so perhaps that was the reason. It is too aggravating to shop at Target right now, even if the end result will be a better experience.

There was only one cashier available that was having difficulty with a customers item. She explained it was her first week. There was no trainer with her and the line of people waiting to check-out was already quite long. An associate meandered over to a POS station and asked for the next in line, but she first needed to help the new associate who had to essentially figure it out on her own with no one there to guide her. Yet, 4 rowdy team members were changing the display in the girls clothing section whose shouting and laughing could quite literally be heard all throughout the store. Not one of them were concerned enough of the situation at check-out to go offer help. Being in a hurry, I walked over to guest services to check out and receive cash back. The associate Oriana was very understanding and assured me as soon as she finished my transaction she would go assist with check-outs. Mistakenly using the incorrect card for cash back, she required a post void so I can use my debit card and called for assistance from a Miss Sarah via radio multiple times. The associate helping another patron next to her eventually completed the void. Oriana had received no response yet could see Miss Sarah from the desk. When she started to walk over to get her attention is when Sarah appeared and sauntered over with food and drink in hand and absolutely zero haste or care in the world. Perhaps she was on break, but as a team leader she needs to set an example for her staff and maintain at least a semblance of good customer service. Oriana understood I was pressed for time and made every attempt to hasten my transaction yet received no help in her efforts from management. I commend her for her customer service skills and suggest she give Miss Sarah some advice on how to treat those who shop at Target and expect a good experience.

The appearance. Lighting and cleanliness has always been the reason why I choose Target over any other store, even if prices are slightly higher for some items.

I have encountered several rude girls who work at this store. If Im in a long line and 3 workers are just standing around talking right near the registers, I find that very annoying. Open another register. I feel that there are never enough clerks actually working. Shop early and there are no cashiers at all and every single food aisle is blocked with merchandise. Management needs to do better!

I ordered an item online and it was available immediately. I went to Target and picked it up. Pick up was painless and easy.

The Store Manager took the time to personally come outside while we were standing in line waiting for the store to open, to first thank us for choosing LaPlata Target, then discussed social distancing and the 6ft rule (which people do not follow) also letting us know that the carts were already precleaned and sanitized for us. She also let is know exactly what they had and what they did not have. Great experience, happy employees = great customer experience. Great leadership by the store manager that is why LaPkata Target is my store

Love the Covid 19 protection that having them bring purchases out to your car provides. I’ve used it half a dozen times or so now and they have always brought out my purchases within 5 minutes.

I had a great experience with Will in the electronics section. He was so nice and he helped us all the way til the end. He transferred everything, stayed patient. He was engaging in conversation and a pleasure to work with. I wish all target employees were like him, if they were i would shop there all the time.

I did not arrive within the 2 hour time frame that my item was ready, but was in store for pick up within 12 hours and my item had already been put back on the shelf . Causing me to wait, I could have just walked in the store and purchased on my own. Not to mention the associates took the original packaging and left me with the item only. I will not nor would I recommend ordering online to pick up in store again.

The gentleman that rang up our purchases was very nice and friendly. That is hard to find these days.

Convenient

Today i was inconvenienced with the task of pushing a car that had died up a ramp and was assisted by JACOB he had no obligation to help us, but he pointed out that we were doing something wrong and even offered to lend a helping hand. This was chick-fil-a level customer service if i have ever seen it. 5 stars doesn’t do my experience justice because this was a 10/10 visit.👍🏾

I am a target fanatic to the core! I go maybe once or twice a week. The store is always clean and neat. The reason i gave it a 4 is because they usually have like maybe 2 cashiers working and around 5pm it can get busy in there. Like, come on Target I know you can hire more peeps. I always do see other team members come help and even supervisors so thats good but there is no reason why only 2 registers should be open around prime time live! Also, i always see meat sales in other stores but not this one, whats up with that! I know each store is diff and all but come on, I want some meat sales! That is all, love you Target!

The family bathroom is kept locked and there is NEVER an associate there to unlock it. I asked about it just now and they said the Customer Service associate is there to unlock it....I had my child with me, no service associate, waited for a friend to walk over and taker her, used the regular restroom, one of which had no lock, came out and still no service associate in sight. No apology, nothing, when I brought this up to the employees (3 of them) standing at the jewelry section talking. Im also pregnant and tracking down an employee so I can take my child with me into the restroom is NOT convenient! Customer service would be nice but I guess thats too much to ask.

It seems that our local Target store in La Plata has had some managerial changes over the last year with 2018 holiday season being the worst. On numerous occasions, I would walk through the store and my cart would be blocked by aisles of boxes lined up for shelving and massive carts lining the open walkway. I even took video to show my family the disarray of the La Plata Target, as a warning to go to a better-managed store. Things have been much better over the summer and hopefully, the 2019 holiday season will not be a repeat of the chaos that was 2018. However, yesterday I overheard a disgruntled employee loudly demanding a line to be opened for checkout. The only checkout was self-checkout and although there was not a long line - I certainly understand the frustration.

Because the shopping experience was pleasant and the staff was helpful.

Favorite store. Just wish the food court was open at consistent times.

Cashier sold me an open video game. Didn’t leave the store grabbed another game to exchange it, about 4 min later. Was told I couldn’t exchange it because it was opened. Spoke to the manager and said his cashier did not sell me an open video game. Asked to review the cameras or to speak to the cashier who sold me the game was told I’d be harassing the staff. The least they could have done is to appolagize for their mistake and own up to it. Instead they blamed me. Clearly they couldn’t back up their “claim” so they just gave me horrible attitude and said the store does not sell open games. NEVER going back to this target!

This rat faced manager guy, black guy, was practically following me through the isles. I requested help from one of these red-shirts teenagers and when I asked where I could find toilet supplies I got nothing but ummm yeah ummm, I think, but I could be wrong for 3 whole minutes while we were one isle over from the supplies I was looking for. and this red-shirt wearing kid said that it was his section and that he was not new.

After moving back to the area we had been very disappointed with the local Targets in Waldorf and Brandywine. Hit this store today and it was exactly what I had expected. Excellent staff, good selection, clean store. Need to restock a few shelves, but Waldorf needed to restock large swaths of the store.

This location was by far a mess today. Alot of overstock was on the floor. Every aisle I went to was just sad. Worst of all...THE WOMENS BATHROOM IS COMPLETELY DISGUSTING. The sink looks like it hasn’t been wiped down in months. There is black gunk collecting in every sink. It smelled revolting like the trash was never taken out or if a toliet was clogged. I would take pictures but it was so disgusting I just left. I gave this location 3 stars at least since the 2 employees were helpful with my the purchase I made. I spoke to them as well about the bathroom. I hope the memo gets passed along.

I’m honestly disappointed that Target seems to have practically eliminate their maternity section. Yes, there is a small (I mean small) section available, but with zero variety. Three racks to choose from; that’s it. Target used to have a huge selection and it’s very frustrating that I can no longer shop there for my maternity clothing needs.
