Worst used car buying experience - EVER! Please read...Worst used car buying experience - EVER! Please read down where the mechanical/safety issues are mentioned. I purchased used Titan May 3, 2021** The truck is okay BUT; 1. they hammered me on my trade in (easily made BIG $$$ on it - my mistake Im not accustomed to dealing with used car salesman (the Prius I traded had for 8 years and they wouldnt budge off $4750 - they advertised it for $10,999 it sold right away! boy am I a dummy or what?) Had 4 new recent Michelins and dealer oil change the week before. My Bad :(2. I had to beg for my $500 military service discount (even though the sales guy knew I was a veteran he never offered it)3. there wasnt any love seems it was all about the money. I didnt buy it the first day and sales guy got all grumpy at closing time.** I bought sales guy & used car shop manager Bushs chicken for lunch and couple gallons ice tea - wasnt appreciated! Sales guy still owes me $5.00 gas money, I drove back and forth to Cedar park a few times till they got things right & he offered to pay the gas - was $15 he paid $10 - after few weeks of him telling me he sent it (?) I told him to keep the Fiver. BTW, nobody in used car department was wearing masks which made us uncomfortable.MECHANICAL/SERVICE DEPARTMENT ISSUES:1. bad rear brake line had to be replaced (after I bought the truck) so much for their 160 point safety inspection- big bubble was ready to pop Howd they miss that? (they did give me a loaner for one day)2. New battery was installed - someone left the battery clamp totally loose. truck wouldnt start next day after I got home, luckily I popped the hood and found it loose! like it was a big joke or something, got home & tightened myself!3. parking brake wouldnt hold on my driveway, they finally replaced the parking brake pads after I raised a stink and told them its a safety issue in Texas.4. detail man scarred the rear door window tint, I let it go.5. Radio is fried (distorted sound) I thought it was cause I was up in Killeen - didnt pay much attention when test driving) It will be replaced as truck is under 5 year/100K Basic warranty.6. After rear cylinder brake line was replaced they entered wrong mileage on car fax. (supposedly corrected - I junked car fax they were sending me spam emails)==> I really dont want to get into personality issues as I had the right to NOT go back, the truck was priced fairly so I wanted it. Just wasnt smooth and several issues from day one!Its been hard for me to write this but I hope this review will be helpful, my experience with the new car guys at Bates has been good, Im waiting for the new Frontiers - this Titan 4X4 turns out to be more than I need to haul around a 22 foot bumper pull trailer- but it is luxurious and lots of fun electronics - its the Texas Titan Edition and a screamer to boot! PLUS FACTORY 5 YEAR/100K MILE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY AND MADE IN AMERICA! (except the transmission is Japan made)

My past experiences with Bates Nissan was great! The service manager was present and transparent. However in the past few years, I would say, 7 out of 10 times, there has been a problem, either with customer care or the service on my vehicle. However, each and every time, the service manager, the current ones, would make it right. .This is one reason why I have been getting my vehicles serviced there for the past 18 years.Today, while making a service appointment, I had mentioned to one of the employees how Garland, in Temple, will wash your vehicle before giving it back after an oil change/service. I was then told that Bates Nissan gives out free car wash vouchers, when they receive them, to customers. Now that information did not sit well with me...I have been a loyal customer for 18 years and not once was I offered a free car wash voucher.

The service was great, but communication could improve. Our sons car had an oil leak. Because the car was a prior rental, I purchased the extended warranty. After sitting in the lobby for 3 hours last week on Thursday morning, we asked for an update, turns out it was going to be several hours to diagnose the source/cause of the leak, and a minimum of overnight to fix it. We used their shuttle service to get home, no big deal. Later we got a call explaining the issues, and I was told it it could be done Friday (next day), if not definitely by Monday. Here it is Thursday the next week and we just got it back. There were no phone calls between the update last Thursday and the notification that it was ready for pick-up today. Friendly and helpful employees, nice and clean, but the communication could use a little brushing up. Overall Im happy with the service and will gladly return for future service.

I had to bring in my nissan Altima because my brakes were squeaking. I was helped right away as soon as I stepped in the door. I had already calculated how much I was going to be charged for new brakes and rotors, not to mention, I needed a new key fob to get in may car. The charge was on point as I had calculated. Website doesn’t allow you to make appointments for oil changes anymore. In the past you could log in and select a date and time. Now you arrive and just have to wait. I ended up waiting for over two hours. The frustrating part is that every time I come in they have no clue who I am or what service packet I purchased. For example after the service was completed they tried to bill me $70 until I told them that this was part of my purchased service plan and should be no cost. After looking me up in the “main database” instead of the iPad they didn’t charge me. They need to do better at being able to pull service plans. I bought my car new from the dealership and every time they act like I am a stranger.

Took my 2013 Altima for a Recall for the hood latch. The Service Rep, Tyler, greeted me with courtesy and said that he would call when finished. Two hours later I received a call from Tyler saying my car was ready for pick up. This was before lunchtime! Great service and great Service representative. Thumbs up to Tyler.

The customer service is outstanding starting with Kevin, the GM, Andre and KP in finance and the rockstar, Devin, our sales rep. I know they are there to sell cars, but it seems they sincerely care about their customers satisfaction. They waiting area is nice. The only issue I might have is that it was a fairly, not unreasonable, but fairly long wait to get the paperwork together. I’m interested to see how our first service appointment goes. Otherwise, we are totally satisfied with our experience. Thank you, Bates team!!!!

Ive been looking to get a new Nissan for about a month now. I know what I want, so I was going to special order one.Finally, this dealer says they can do it.So I make the long drive out here to start the process.They bring out the estimated cost, and its fully 5K over MSRP.And there is a $1095 markup for their dealer package of window tint, wheels locks, and some other items. That the dealer says he cant remove. When he totally can, the car hasnt even been built yet, the accessories uninstalled.So they wasted hours of my time and fuel for that.

Jim King and I had an absolutely enjoyable experience. Yes I said that about an Auto dealership. No pressure at all. Went in to look and wasnt expecting much and WOW! Drove out of there with the car we wanted, in the color I wanted, interior i wanted, bells and whistles we wanted and the Sunroof that was a must have. Great price. Great interest rate. I did not expect to find much after the day we had with rude dealers and high priced vehicles. Anthony came out to speak with us and immediately his personality and demeanor put me at ease. He is honest and very knowledgeable. He showed me a car I never thought to look at and I instantly fell in love. He answered all of my questions/concerns and kept me informed of every step throughout the whole process. I did not need financing through Nissan so I cannot comment on that. I Started Talking to Keith at Bates Nissan in April while deployed to Afghanistan he was very professional and patient his top priority was all about what I needed. Finally after 6 months I made it home, I made an appointment to see Keith and when I arrived he pulled up a Rogue that had everything I had requested, within 2 hours I was out the door with my new vehicle. Bates Nissan had great customer service. I brought my 2018 Pathfinder in because I had a small oil leak. I have a warranty, but I was praying that the issue was either covered or didn’t cost an arm and a leg to repair. I get a call later in the day, after their complimentary car service dropped me off at home. The issue ended up being that my dipstick hadn’t been screed in all the way, and oil was leaking as a result. I was expecting to still have to pay something for their time. I ended up owing nothing! If that isn’t a demonstration of putting your customer first, I don’t know what is!

When the initial appointment was set up for the key fob to be reprogrammed the customer service should have said to bring all of the known key fobs for the vehicle in for the appointment. I hade to drive bake home and bake to dealership. After waiting almost an hour and a half I was told they could not reprogram the key fob due to it being the original key and it only had a one time coding that could be performed on it. I thought that was strange when you can buy the same key fob and have them re-programmed.

My car stopped accelerating, so I had it towed to a shop. Then, after waiting for 3 days for them to even look at it, I had to call them for an update. The update was that they wouldnt work on it because it was a code in my transmission. From the start, I could tell Bates Nissan was going to be a good experience. They kept us updated, informed, and were really nice. The work only took a couple of days.

Had issues with the rear hatch. Gerber Collision had the vehicle for a week, it came back with issues still. It went back to them for a 2nd week. It came back with more issues. Some were caught by the service manager before we received it and it went back to be fixed. When we finally picked it up, we noticed the trim on the roof was broken and that there were dents on the exterior of the hatch. It went back for a 3rd week. They completely replaced the hatch this time. Still issues with the quality from Gerber. Vehicle came back with scratches in the tint, on the exterior of the vehicle and grease stains on the headliner near the rear hatch.

I took my car there for certain reasons and certain things were repairs but the reason why I taken the car there was not repaired and I had to leave it there overnight again it has been three night without my car now but my service advisor he was very professional in helping me. But Nissan has no loaners cars for you to use. And now I have missed three days of work because the mechanic should have been more careful in the work he did he should have did a better check on the car errors . This is just my opinion I’m not trying to hurt anyone jobs.

Have to brag about BATES NISSAN!!! went in to just look at the KICKS, already knew what model i was looking for, just needed to look for the right color and style, well (ANTHONY ANGIOLILLO) came out to greet us, he was amazing and didnt try to change my mind or up sale or show us what i was NOT looking for, turned out he had a schedule customer coming in and turned us over to ( DAMON KEITH ANTOLAK ), wow those two together are amazing (team) Keith was right there beside us the whole time (not once felt like a CARSSALEMAN PROCESS) but like a new friend, then (CLAY O DELL) came in and work his magic with the numbers, now mind you my husband handles the whole number crunch & payments & willing to spend kinda thing, well I found the Model & Color & Style I wanted, and lets just say my husband walk away with a brand new 2021 Nissan Titan also !!! (Clay O Dell) worked his magic once again and put a big huge smile on my husband and myself !!! tell you what this was the best car buying experience!! Thank yall for everything and then some !!!!
