Cannot recommend: they are not cheap nor fast. Either Covid has really impacted them, or customer service is just not a priority, or I was shoved to the bottom because I just needed routine maintenance on a little push mower. I asked for a fuel filter change, valve adjustment, idle and throttle adjustment, things I dont do myself. I was told 14 days. They did a full overhaul instead and it was 20 days (I started calling after 16 or who knows when they would have gotten to it.) There was a clatter from the engine after I picked it up, so took it back. Was told they would check it out in a couple days. 10 days later, I called: it was done but not written up. They said the recoil pawls needed cleaning and lubrication. The clatter is now indeed gone, but maybe they should have done that in the first 20 days. Bottom line: if you have a low dollar job, you better be a really squeaky wheel, or count on paying someone to mow your lawn for a month.

First time at Heils. I was recommended to Heils by a co-worker after having difficulty finding the correct size, type chain replacement for my 2013 Polin Wild Thing 18 in. Chain Saw. Called and spoke with Tyler who said bring it in. Once there met Tyler and Wil found the right fit replaced and sharpened the old chain. They also cleaned the saw and sent me on my way.Great staff knowledgeable and friendly. I plan on buying my next lawnmower and weed trimmer from Tyler for Xmas ( I will send wife and daughters to Heil Bros ) knowing they will get me the right products. Great job Tyler and Will.

Ive used Heil Brothers to service my (older) Honda self-propelled 22 mower several times, and they are always professional and courteous. I just took it in for service recently. Take yours now, as they will definitely be getting very busy soon.

I asked for thier beat price and they did not disappoint. I chose Heil Bros over three others because they seemed to want to sell me a mower. I arrived and was out in very short ordered. They took the time to explain the features of the mower and even offered to put it my truck. As a new home owner I need a lot of yard tools equipment. I will be back this spring as they have earned my business.

I called Heil Bros last Sat July 24 2021 and asked the salesman if there was a certain lawn mower belt in stock as I called out the belt number. He replied after looking on his computer and said they are in stock. I said I’ll be over right away. I rushed over before closing. When I arrived I went to the counter to to pick up my belt and i was told they are sold out. I said I just spoke to a salesman half hour ago. Come to find out the computer said there was 2 on hand and 1 was just sold prior to my arrival. The computer count was off 1. The salesman didn’t check his stock. So then I was told a new shipment would be in Wednesday and I would receive a phone call. I gave him my information to be contacted. Well come Wednesday I received no phone call. Anyway I found my belt at Gravely Sales in Centerville Ohio.

Great pick! I moved to the area 3 months ago and needed my long neglected riding mower fixed. I hadnt used it in the last four years. I fully expected it to be unreasonable pricey. It turns out, and luckily, I was dead wrong. They picked up and dropped it off as schedule. The transmission and tires needed work...they did it. It rides like new. Ill be using them to spring tune both of my mowers.

Not very accommodating, turn around on simple service, like blowing up lawn tires is a week turn around. Thats with them hand carried in off the mower. (GO TO TIRE DISCOUNTERS BY WRIGHT STATE, THEYLL FIX THEM WHILE YOU WAIT. ON A SATURDAY, AND PROBABLY SUNDAY.) Joe is your man. Ohh also they wanted to charge me 80 dollars also. And to wait a week. so I decided to go and buy this stuff and to try to do it myself. They said that they put inner tubes in when they blew the tires up, because they are tubeless. Amazon shipped to me within 48 Hours. Try to do it myself, but with no avail. Went back to Heil Brothers and then ask them if they could finish putting them on the tubes on the tire, they said it still would be at least another three days to finish the job all they had to do was put them on the rim. Thats when I went to Tire Discounters and turn around and had it done within an hour without a wait. I dont want to tell you, but lets say they arent not very accommodating if not miniscule.

Visited there today. Social Distancing is practiced. Staff were very helpful on the phone and at shop. Price for my part was very reasonable. Definitely recommend!

I cant say enough about the quality service I have received at Heil Brothers over the years. Jerry and his crew are always friendly and kind, and they are knowledgeble about the products they sell. Quality lawn equipment cost more than the generic brands, and I have found their prices to be as good or better than the big box stores or even the internet. We need more quality minded businesses like Heil brothers.

Best place around for getting garden equipment (mowers, etc) fixed, but dont bother if you need it in a hurry.Weirdly enough, after I was told 2-3 weeks on a repair, I told the guy behind the counter I might as well buy a new mower and went over to the new mowers and looked for a few minutes. After no one bothered to ask if I needed help, I went to a big box store and bought another mower...If I want to be ignored, I can do it more cheaply elsewhere.😒

Prices are a bit high. Needed a mower belt right away got hit for sixty dollars for a belt you can get on Amazon for twenty five. So much for supporting local businesses. I know local businesses can not sell stuff as cheaply as Amazon but really. Maybe if local businesses had a fair price they would have more sales volume.These people that can gouge customers and keep a straight face are amazing. I can picture them laughing as customers go out the door.

Friendly place, reasonable prices, and huge selection. I brought a standard push mower in for annual PM and repair service at the beginning of peak season. I had been experiencing total loss of power and shut off after using the mower for an extended period. I was a little irked that I was quoted up to 4 weeks but it only took two and a half and the mower ran fine. About a month later I ran into issues with it running but not being strong enough to cut grass well. I brought it back in, expecting another week or two to get it back. I was pleasantly surprised when they called me the next day to let me know it was ready! There was also no charge for the service since I had brought it in recently. All in all a class act shop, just be prepared to wait a little while during peak season. Thanks Heil Brothers!

Bought a lawn mower from Heil summer of 2017. Paid $2900. Called to bring it in for preventative maintenance. Which basically is an oil change. It is only 1 year old. Not only was I told I would have to drop it off and leave it for 3 weeks. It would be a minimum charge of $250 up to $450. They don’t do appointments. Seriously!! Wish I would have known that their customer service after the sale is non existent. Who can drop their mower off for 3 weeks and what dummy would pay $250 for an oil change!! 🤬

I had never been here before. There was a young man there that helped me. I quizzed him on some equipment just to gage his knowledge. He passed with flying colors. If you need anything in the lawn and garden arena, this is the place for you. Its conveniently located, needs better parking spots. They have a huge selection of equipment and supplies. Prices are reasonable and the part I needed was rare but they had it in stock. They also work on various equipment too. I havent had them attend to any of my equipment, so hopefully, someone will elaborate on their craftsmanship.

Best parts stock in whole Miami Valley area.They are a tiny bit higher on parts but they have more in stock.They have been doing this a long time and have paid their dues.They will give you free advice too.If youve ever had a mower repaired in the area, you should know that once the weather breaks, it is 3-5 or 4-6 weeks wait to get ANY lawn equipment serviced or repaired! Just because your dont expect that or like it, doesnt change the fact.There are not many choices for lawn equipment repair. Only a small handful of shops in the Miami Valley area and all get super behind. You can only hope for one to do quality work. Its never going to be fast or cheap. Another reviewer actually said there are too many other choices in the area....Dont know what hes smoking..Its not like auto repair with 100s of shops in the area that have spoiled people with quick turnaround times.

Performed toro warranty work. Other places in Bellbrook wont do that unless you purchased from them. Repair was great and mower works much better! Great looking store as well.

It is awesome that such a place still exists- Not many places where you can go to get parts and help with your lawn mower. Also, great selection in stock equipment. I really hope they can stay a-float with all the big-box types trying to undercut them. Long live local businesses!

This place is great and has excellant customer service. We needed parts for a lawnmower we purchased and we thought the location closed alot later. When we got to the location they were closing and time was closed and they allowed us to still make the purchase of the items we called in about and had held. It was nice to see that there is still a sense of customer service and wanting to help someone instead of just making a buck. This team is great to have in our community. We are now repeat client due to the customer service we recieved as well we have sent others there for items they needed

First time visiting, staff could have been a little more friendly. All staff wasnt knowledgeable about stock nor were they very customer oriented. One staffer was right down rude to me. Not a good chance Ill revisit soon.

Just had riding mower tires put on that I bought from amazon. They were friendly, inexpensive, and did not get edgy about the tires from another source. I wasnt shopping, but they had more landscape machinery than I have ever seen before in one place.I used to generally go to gravley, but they get kinda moody (but so do I!!)

Lawnmower stalled, took it in, rep said it would take 7-10 days, didnt specify 7-10 days to just get an estimate. 8 days later after I called twice and was handled rudely I finally got an estimate an hour after I said I was coming to get it. Nothing wrong. Really?They removed a small piece of twine wrapped around the blade and sharpened the blade. $50 fee. Went to pick it up after a late shift, 20 minutes before their posted opening but the open sign was up and door was open. Went inside, was told they couldnt help me until 8. Waired til 8 though I watched someone enter and get assistance at 7:52 from a different rep at the counter.Will not use Heil Bros again.

So we recently went thur 2 tornados and we needed a chainsaw to get the trees off our fence and powerlines and cut up there was so many. My husband went there to buy a husqavarna chainsaw and the guy working told my husband to bring it back if it didnt work and exchange for another. He went today to exchange it because it kept dying on him, he got there they charged him money to restock the broken chainsaw to sell to someone else.. They wouldnt refund his money only to get another chainsaw from them.. I would recommend going some where else you buy your products.. bad service terrible customer service. We will never do business with this company again 500.00 down the drain with cheap products that are over priced...

WOW! - Not going back here EVER again! Too many other shops to choose from in todays market! SHOP AROUND FOLKS! save time Save money! Mower New: $325 Repairs: $125 (tires, oil & carb adj.)....as a follow up the owner calls me at home during dinner and wants to completely argue about my review. After listen to excuses and his ranting about why this happened, he just solidified my original review. BYE Felicia!

They couldnt find the right part with both hands and a flashlight. I can have identical parts, from another scag dealer, shipped from another state for 25% less than they charge . I buy mower parts from quite a few dealers. These folks are by far the worst to deal with. If i had a nickel for every time i have had to deal with them messing up, I could at least buy nice lunch. The kick in the pants is that their hold music ( which you are on forever ) sounds like a three year old on a casio keyboard.

I recently posted a pretty harsh review and one star rating of Heil Bros. Lawn and Garden. After receiving a call from Ken, one of the owners, I am revising my comments. While I felt the customer service experience could have been better during my visit, after talking with Ken, I have a greater understanding of the events that transpired and how I may have misinterpreted part of what had taken place. The fact that Ken was willing to call, to discuss the issue in a calm and reasonable fashion (even after a scathing review), and make an effort to see that my issues were addressed, causes me to change my rating from 1 to 4 stars. I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars because with just a little sensitivity to customer service on the front end, the entire issue could have been avoided. In fairness, there were many things going on in the store that day which could account for some of the issues as well. We all make mistakes and have misunderstandings, and I would never want to unduly sully someones reputation. I apologize for my part of the misunderstanding. Thank you Ken for being a stand-up guy.

I bought chain saws and geat years ago. Stopped in to get tune up on chainsaw. Was told it cost $100.00 for tune up. (This price quote without saw being checked out). Wont shop at this store again or give recommendation. This Vet is very disappointed. Going to Lowes repair and rental.

If you want to do business with pure greed, have at it. This place and its owners are among some of the greediest folks in the business. As if they dont make enough money screwing so many people on the backend (service) they are equally greedy on the retail side. I guess these greedy brothers are so comfortable that they dont mind walking a previous service customer trying to buy a small piece of lawn equipment over 30 dollars?? Pigs get fat and Hogs get slaughtered is a saying this business will come to see on the years ti come. before you buy anything from this greedy family, do your homework and save yourself some money. I will never give them time of day from here on on and suggest you do the same.

Bought a new Echo string trimmer today. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable..service was prompt...computer was sluggish! They took it back tested it and brought it out for me.

Had my chainsaw for 5 weeks without repairing it. They said it was bad gas...the expensive “gas in the can” they sold me a month before. I had also purchased this saw from them in the same year so it was still under warranty. Also...their company policy says if they take longer than 30 days to repair something...they will “make it right”. After all this they still tried charging me $90 for “fixing” it. Laughable. I doubt they even looked at it since the gas was never the issue. Terrible customer service. I’ll never make a purchase there again.

$140 to fix a mower that was used for 3 months last season.-said it had bad gas in it but that is not true. It had new gas in it. Told them to throw it out. Had it 3 weeks before an estimate. I will go buy a new one before paying that.
