They have actually taken me to the area of books that Im looking for. You can sell your already owned books there. Also, there are Free baskets to leave books or toys to donate. I loved shopping at this store but I will say that they really need to make the isles wider.It would be a challenge for anyone with a electric wheelchair trying to go down any isle.Tight turns and the prices were a bit costly. I stumbled upon 2nd & Charles in an effort to find a book needed for my sons reading class. This store is well stocked and has an array of used books at a very reasonable price. Additionally, the staff is very helpful and provides great customer service. I highly recommend!

2nd &Charles is a great store with lots of hidden treasures. You never know what you will find in there; from nostalgic video games to rare books. They have something for everyone and their pricing has remained consistently fair and reasonable. If youve never been i suggest going.

Your place for used books/movies/comics and nerd/geek/gamer collectibles. Theres always something new on the shelves. Great atmosphere and great staff.

We always have a good experience here. The employees are always friendly, and the shelves are neatly stocked. Im not a huge fan of trading things for money here, but I understand their reasons for their pricing. One of my favorite parts is the free book bin - I always manage to find a decent variety of books, especially for my daughter. 2nd & Charles is a great place to waste time, browse, and find gifts for yourselves and others! They have a wide variety of unique things and books with reasonable prices.

The merchandise like books, video games, CDs, movies, and vinyls are fine, and the staff is very helpful, but DO NOT PURCHASE USED ELECTRONICS FROM THIS STORE.I bought a used PlayStation 2 from this store marked at $84.95 (did not include cables). When I opened the console there was still a video game disk inside, and upon returning home I found out the machines disk reader did not work. The item was marked at nearly $90 despite having NOT been tested.

Always a great treasure hunt! The vinyl selection is pretty legit- you’ll find just about anything and everything there. Collectibles are always on point, and the books are organized nicely.

The store was very clean, employees very friendly. but I went to sell some very rare mint condition trading cards and I was offered, for my full set containing about 1k cards, about %40 of what one of the cheaper cards cost on their own. I wouldnt recommend selling your valuables here. its a waste of time. however the store is very nice and has tons of cool items

Last one in Georgia! Love this store. Packed with cool stuff for Geeks like me; because, lets face it, Geek is cool! Plenty of variety of books, CDs, LPs, video games, components and systems! T-shirts, collectibles and more. Hope this store stays in business, so stop in often and keep them flooded with business so they remain in Georgia!

Great selection, clean and well maintained store. They have good deals on books, but I found it frustrating that used and new books are all mixed together. Many of their books are full priced or close to it. That is fine, but it makes it hard when looking for a deal because you might find one book for less than 5$ and the book next to it might be $50. If you are prepared to spend full price then the chance of getting a book for cheaper is nice, if you are looking for a great bargain and find the book you want, but it is full priced it is disappointing. I also found it frustrating that their sales tables advertised these books starting at $5 for example when not a single book on that table was $5. If you have a bunch of time to sort through books hoping for a deal, than this is a great place. If you want a place when almost all books are a great deal I would go to either Half Priced Books or Mckays.

You can find your favorite DVDS you enjoyed as a kid and have a good old fashioned movie night.

Great place to buy stuff from but do not sell stuff here unless you have the intention of practically giving it away. About 20 Funko Pops figures and 4 Xbox one games came out to only $20 cash... Complete rip off. I took the store credit at $67. I only accepted the offer because I had no sentimental or any kind of value attached to those items. I just wanted them gone. I give 4 stars because their selection to buy from is great and Im a huge anime lover. Overall, great store to buy from, but do not sell unless you just want to essentially give your stuff away.

Not too crowded or loud, it was a bit hard to find the books we were looking for but found them in a decent amount of time. They also have a small game section for ps4 and some other consoles. i definitely recommend and there is a staken shake right nextdoor which is plus sometimes

If youre looking to get rid of old books dont waist your time or gas with this place. Youll be better off donating your books or selling them on eBay. Weve dropped off 6 boxed of books and received an accumulated $5. We have lots of rare books. Mostly from Harvard and annex education locations.

Its not a store: its a treasure trove. It pays to browse those shelves for hours and experience the thrill of finding something youve been wanting for a long time and didnt even remember you wanted.

Book store chain but feels more local. Usually can find good deals. Larger TTRPG selection than youd think for a regular book shop.

I love this store! It has such a variety of new and used items, and I find something I like every visit. HOWEVER, I am knocking off a star for the magazine subscription at checkout. The cashier asked if I would like a free, risk-free trial for a few magazines for a couple of months, so I said sure. After I left, I read the brochure that she gave me. Lo and behold, in the fine print on the back, it said that if I did not cancel the subscription during the trial period, I would be charged for a FULL YEAR of magazines. I have since cancelled my subscription on the website that the brochure specified (mags.com). Im sure there are others who didnt read the fine print and got charged for the subscription. Its just a scam move, and sad to see coming from such a great store.

Great selection of items. Things I havent seen anywhere else. Excellent customer. Service. The only downside Is Ive noticed a pattern of each time you bring items into trade the lower the credit offer drops.

They had a great assortment of books for all ages which worked great for my 3! Spent just under $50 and got about 15 books which is a great deal. The only reason it didnt get 5 starts is because it was a little confusing trying to understand the arrangement of books (if it was my title or author) and we spent about 2015 minutes waiting in line to pay for the books (not so great with 3 kids and a ton of trinkets by the exit) overall we will definitely be going back there again!

If your coming here to buy records, your paying to much... The quality and conditions of the records are at goodwill conditions, but they are selling them at top shelf prices. I get them at goodwill for $1.00 each, in that condition. Theres no way Im going to pay $5 to $25 plus dollars for the same records, in the same condition.. Not to mention that the record players that they sell our complete junk. The Crossley brand is junk... you would think that if theyre going to sell used records that they would also sell used record players that were of decent quality, but thats not the case. Those record players they do sell will ruin the records that you placed on them and you will not hear the good quality sound that comes from records which by the way is the whole purpose of buying records.

I have found that this place is excellent in finding books that are hard to find that other book store dont have. The secret is out of the bag.....

I’ve had good and bad experiences here. They have an amazing selection of movies, vinyl, and books, but do not do trade-in’s after 7PM. May help to advertise that somewhere.

The staff was friendly and the store was clean and organized. I give it an average rating because the prices are through the roof. Items they got from stores that were going out of business are marked full price or more. The only thing that might be worth while are the used books. Everything else is WAY over priced. They also have a Lego bin where you can look for spare parts.

Movie and book collection is nice - some overpriced, but it is what it is. do not buy vinyl here. they must not check the quality of the records before they get in. most every used record, even 2010s records, are so scratched they would be unplayable. 3 of the records I picked out from my haul looked like they had been used for frisbees at a frat. new collection of vinyl is just okay. very bummed.

Was looking for a special book called they said they had it available New,Used,Hardcover or Paperback.Got there an employee showed me where to find it, Found it plus a couple things I didnt know they carried. Great store I will shop there every chance I get.

Great place to shop for rare or lightly used books. They also have a healthy collectibles section and tons of vinyl records. Watch for new books sprinkled in with the old. Not such great deals on those.

Had a wonderful experience at 2nd & Charles today. The store is everything my coworker said it would be. Two people working at the store stood out and deserve recognition: First was Imani. She noticed me and immediately began assisting me to find the book titles I had come for. She was professional, courteous, and her follow thru outstanding. After several titles were found, I asked about the other services in the store. Specifically, the guitars. She found the second person, knowledgeable about guitars. That brings up Jackson. I was interested in learning enough about guitars so I could possibly make a decision on the appropriate one for me. Jackson took the time to explore the differences with the instrument and my tastes in music while showing the choices currently available at the store. He was very knowledgeable assisted me with my purchase. I really appreciate these two employees. I am very happy with my purchases. Ive already told my daughter about the books and the guitar. She said she has shopped many times at this store in Kennesaw. This was my first time, but I know I will be back soon.

I normally love this store, I purchased several cookbooks and when I got them home I discovered I had bought a Mexican cookbook that I didn’t realize from my lack of judgment at not looking at the sticker that it was $17 that was on me, but I noticed that the book also had a sticker from Ross the discount store with a $7.99 sticker, and it showed retail at $15, and this was a used book, be very careful and look at all of the stickers on the book to make sure you’re getting a good deal, this Was not a good deal

If you’re looking to unload some items and get store credit or cash, they do that, too. I don’t get down to shop here often, and we were passing through, so we stopped. Unbeknownst to me, it’s Educator Week, so instead of their normal 20% discount for teachers (awesome, right??), I received a 25% discount on my purchase! Love it!! Visit 2nd and Charles, grab a Starbucks from next door, and get lost for a while. Buy some vinyl, grab a book, or even buy yourself a new used guitar. Overpriced on many games ($15-25 higher on a few board games that I looked through than similar local stores), and the bulk buy program sucks, you know nothing but a total at the end.The store seems like it wants to be the mix between a hot topic and a used book store but does neither well at all.

Books its all books I came for some games and the entire store was books it wasnt like that befor it used to be music books games and other hobbies now its just lame

My wife loves this place, admittedly not my cup of tea however if your looking for a deal on a book or possibly some classic vinyl then a great place to look.

Pulled a funko pop off the shelf which when I did there was no adhesive where the box connects an fell completely apart when I was pulling it off the shelf. Priced at 30 I thought I would ask and the guy puts it back together to where it looked all nice and neat and a supervisor only offered a 15% off on a pop that was heavily damaged and turned out to have belonged in the glass case so it was probably not that condition when originally accepted. The worse customer service and worse manager decision Ive have seen at a collectible store. Will avoid in the future for sure.

Absolutely awful. I tried to trade in a signed Matt Ryan card and when I decided to not take the $20 for my box of $400 worth of stuff I didn’t find my Matt Ryan card when I got my stuff back. THEY STOLE IT! Don’t go here things are overpriced and they give you pretty much no money for stuff you trade in.

They had a wonderful manga selection [still can never find Gintama physically anywhere though :( ] and lots of fun knick knacks located all around the store. Nerd heaven, basically, and thats coming from a nerd herself.They had very bad organization though in all the sections. Things were barely organized alphabetically, and book numbers were all disarray.The place is also arranged in a way that is quite cramped.

A really interesting store, something for everyone here. You may find this place familiar if you used to go to Media Play before they shut down. Most of their main inventory is second hand used goods, but dont think poor quality or thrift store, this place is very professionally retail. You can also make a quick buck selling your garage sale entertainment items here. But not at a great value. If youre looking for books, this is a good spot.

Poor customer service. If you want customers to wear a mask, fine, that is the prerogative of the store owner/management, but go about it correctly.The *second* my husband and I set foot in the store, multiple employees from behind the counter shouted (literally, shouted) “YOU NEED MASKS,” to which I promptly and politely responded “okay, we will come back another time.” That other time won’t be until masks are no longer required, and maybe not even then, but I digress.It’s inappropriate and poor customer service to shout demands at customers the moment the set foot in the store. If we had been greeted politely and someone had asked for us to put on masks, we still would have declined and left, but this review would not have been written. In fact, this was not the first store we left today due to mask requirements, but the first store dealt with it properly and will remain unnamed because they at least had the decency to not be rude to people who wanted to spend their money in the store.

They had a super great condition copy of DragonStrike (the knockoff HeroQuest that comes with a hilariously bad VHS tape). I had to pick it up, great find!
