Went for a morning walk along the beach and decided to get some breakfast at this lovely cafe. We had the croque monsieur, spinach and feta croissant and a chocolate croissant. The croque monsieur was the best item of the bunch! It was amazing! It had a cheese sauce on top and was perfectly crisp.Spinach and feta was our number 2 pick. The flakey and buttery crust had a beautiful crunch and flavor!Chocolate croissant was good and I am glad I had it but I will be substituting something else tomorrow! See you then!

You close at 5:00 pm during the height of tourist season on a Sunday. On top of this you dont let anybody sit outside as well. Not taking into consideration that they just spent $30.00 on cake and drinks, not cool people!!! Please keep in mind we spent this $30.00 at 4:50 pm and no one said anything at the time.NOT COOL!!!

I appreciate your response.  Food/goodies were great!  We walked into your store a few minutes before it was set to close, not knowing your close time.  We made our purchases and walked out to sit to enjoy the pastries and coffee when we are asked to leave as they had to put the chairs away!  We should have been told that when we made the purchase, made us feel like you were interested in the sale and not service afterwards! And why not wait 5 minutes to have the last couple of customers enjoy pastries just bought instead of forcing us to leave?

Quite an authentic place for coffee and french bakery products. It had a wide variety of macarons with different flavors. We tried three different flavors and all of them were really tasty. Matcha Chaga was delicious too. It seems to have very good coffee too. We didnt try coffee but we saw some Colombian coffee available and they smelled really nice. There are both indoor seating and outside seating. There were at least 7 tables outside both in front and in the back. There is a public parking down the road like in a 5 min walking distance.

Update -Katelyn followed up with me and we finally connected. She was pleasant and apologetic to the experience. Come to find out I was charged more than I was supposed to be charged. Katelyn made sure she refunded me the item I was overcharged including part of tip. In addition, she took my comments in regards to the sandwich and muffin in consideration . She invited back which I would because I go to Kennebunk every year. She reminded me of her contact information to let her know when I would visit again! Thanks for making this right and for listening!I’ve made adjustment to review due to their professional response and going above and beyond.I was looking forward to this place, however not that great. Not sure how you can justify the price I paid since the items I paid.I got a CROQUE MONSIEUR - you could not taste the gruyere cheese or the mustard that they put in there. It was somewhat bland. The muffin was not special and small. The latte was okay for a latte and they did have oat milk. I also got a small bottle sparkling wine.

Cute French quarter bakery and coffee shop but unfortunately nothing special about it besides curb appeal.Heres specifically what was wrong with drinks we ordered:- cappuccino was actually just a trash Starbucks latte. Way too much milk, terrible foam- London fog only had 1 tea bag in a large cup so basically water, zero vanilla or sugar notes or fragrance. Was just weak earl gray and some foamed milk.I drank the latte because I wanted coffee but my wife tossed her fog.We also ordered a macaroon and it was worse than the prepackaged ones from a grocery store. Very stale. Finally, we came fairly early and the shop was filthy to the edges, definitely left over grime from the previous few days.Too bad because the place is cute and could definitely be noteworthy if they produced anything of quality, maybe the drip coffee is OK?

Quaint shop with an excellent array of pastries and coffees. Very unimpressed with the service staff however - the woman working the register this morning was quite rude to a number of guests ahead of us in line and the tip policy is ridiculous. When you make a purchase (card only - no cash) they then ask loudly, for all customers to hear, if you’d like to leave a tip on the card and then how much. So essentially, it’s a public guilt into leaving a tip. Their Facebook page pretty much admits as much as they promote a good hourly wage and “excellent tips”. Just poor business practice. People will either decide to tip or not, but being publicly forced to declare a yes or no and then an amount is very poor taste.

Latte was good but when I asked for mine to be made with almond milk for sensitivity to lactose reasons and was told that their lattes are pre-made and that they could make something else that wouldnt taste the same. I understand that pre-making things is easier but it is inconsiderate for people who need to have things made a certain way. They didnt even off to make me one with almondmilk instead. I just got a get it this way or get something else that we pre-made.

We were there this morning and the food and coffee were beautiful, but the service ruined the experience. The young women working up front were trying rush people to get their orders to keep the line moving - they slap the food on to a paper plate (such a pity to have really nice food on a paper plate), let the other person know about your coffee order, you pay, no one tells you when your coffee is ready so it waits there until you go and check. The coffee is served in a paper cup, even if youre dining in. It could easily be a 5 * cafe if the people working there were better trained in how to serve customers.

Hit or miss. Sometimes (Usually early AM) the service and coffee are phenomenal. When its good it is really good. However anytime Ive arrived after 10am theres crumbs on the tables/counters, its been hectic and orders get mixed up. Last time I was in someone else got handed my coffee, it was handed back to a barista and then handed to me. At that point I asked about the pastry I ordered with it (that I had paid for with my coffee), and was told it was never warmed as it was never rang up. I asked if she was sure as my card had been charged and she stated she never took payment. After waiting over 20 minutes I walked out paying $7.99 for a medium S&S latte and NO pastry (as they claimed I never paid for it and would not allow me to have one without another payment). Not sure if I will return, which is too bad because again when its good it is really good.
