I always find great deals at JOANNs. While they do have great fabrics, thats only a portion of the store.Always a fun place for home decor, crafts, baskets, and picking up a new hobby.I think there are books on just about every craft art out there!

My sister and I go to Joanns constantly and specifically to this location because They have great selection of fabric for our businesses. We go out of our way to this location & have been for over a year. Today, I was saddened to write this and regret that I wont shop here anymore. The staff was rude and humiliating . I was in a line of 15 people waiting for fabric to be cut.. the 4 people before me had no numbers and the remaining 10 people behind me didnt either . As Susan (yes that is her name) cuts my sisters fabric in front of me without asking for her ticket. I go up with 6 things of fabric to cut, place them down and she yells at me demanding where my ticket in line is ..I told Susan that no one else has numbers and we were standing all in a straight-line so there is no confusion.. she told me to go to the back of the line as I had politely and paitently been waiting for 15 minutes to cut my fabric . I asked why no one else needed numbers before me or after me .. she refused to answer the question.. when I grabbed a ticket they were calling on number 18 and I pulled 17 .. they didnt even know what order they were in.... Susan didnt want to help me or cut my fabric.... Maggie (another associate that was cutting fabric) said she had been calling numbers but it got out of order...Susan and Maggie, you should be ashamed of the customer service and lack of process. I am okay pulling a number if everyone else is, but to single someone out and to refuse to help them is just terrible.I wont be returning here.

One of the best stores, great fabric selection and helpful staff. I love that I can usually find something nice on clearance. And if you have the app they give you awesome coupons. Plus a teacher and veterans discount! So bring your S/O if they apply

Its a big WOW for a big super organized clean store! Its my new favorite and wont go back to the Copperfield store.

Not what it used to be.I dont know whats going on there, but lots of bare shelves. When I asked on more than one visit, I was told there was a lot of merch in the back that hadnt been out it yet???The staff seemed to be a little lost as to what was really going on.Maybe it will get back to normal soon... I hope

I have been an elementary teacher for 17 years here in Houston. I always spend my money buying materials to work with my students at Joann and others craft stores. I asked for my discount as a teacher and KENIA asked for my ID, I gave her my ID and she told me with bad attitude if I dont have an updated ID, I informed her that teachers change their ID only when we change Job. It is the first time that a cashier ask me that. Kenia was very rude and unprofessional She THREW my teacher ID at the counter. Please spend money and time training your staff, we the teachers are your buyers and we deserve respect.

Needed more help at the register. Line was very long and and had to wait a bit. Service was great and staff was very friendly.

I came to look for mask fabric once and I asked one of the employees where I can find “masculine” fabrics and she told me “well, if he isn’t insecure about his masculinity he can wear whatever fabric you get” 💀💀💀 like WHAT! 🤣 that wasn’t my question Karen! I could NOOOOT!

Nice store but overpriced

This is a pretty good location. They have a decent fabric and trim selection. The floral area is limited but okay. Hobby lobby would be a better choice if that was your primary reason for going. They cut fabric fairly quickly and the store/bathrooms were clean.

Since the pandemic, I try to shop late in the evenings so there arent many other people (but not so late that Im one of those last stragglers at closing time). Abby and Debbie were both amazingly helpful and polite, even so close to the end of their shifts! Thanks for helping me out :)

I was super excited to be able to use curbside pick up at this store. As soon as I pulled into the assigned parking space in front of the store, a clerk was at my window. I didnt even need to click on either email or app to say I was there. She took down my name and order number and brought out my bag within minutes.

It is well stocked with lots of items and variety and a very popular store. Downfall is only about 70% of the staff in fabric cutting are friendly and helpful. Maybe the fabric area employees are suffering from fatigue? Maya is absolutely wonderful. She makes the place a ten out of 5!Parking is great and I feel safe going there. People wear masks and shields so I feel like Joanns values the lives of their employees. They require masks for customers, which is great. If this ever changed, I would not shop there ever. The pickup looks like it works very well.Coupons? Read carefully and be careful. I have gone to other Joann Stores and cashiers are kind and helpful with the coupon use. At this location, coupon use seems like it causes some hostility. Also cashiers may retaliate if you change your mind and not want something (ie, try to make you so the restocking).

Great prices. Staff always seem overwhelmed and unhappy. Cashier line always takes a while to get through so plan accordingly to wait in line. Fabric department has plenty of options and is well stocked.Sewing staff is always grumpy. Store is kept well organized.

This store was amazing, the staff truly was helpful in a time of panic. I had ordered elastic online- from a different company, and it came dry rotted. The women at the cutting counter were sympathetic and extremely helpful. Will definitely come back!

I REALLY HOPE YOU READ THIS REVIEW. I have had a horrible experience hear my last two times!! First, this lady named Haley denied us the purchasing of our last fabric items, claiming there was a limit that we had not reached yet. She was very rude and dismissive toward my wife and I. I complain to the manager and let her know about the service that I had and she apologized for our experience. I went back a week later to get more fabric and I explained to one of the ladies, Susan about the issue that I had. And she made some comment about people wanted to shoot her and something about guns over the complaint that I had. I didnt feel comfortable with her making this statement to me. As a black man in a world with such racial tension, such comments like that shouldnt be made. The only nice person was Rolanda, the cashier up front. She just so happened to be there with both of my experiences and was really apologetic with the service I received both times. I would definitely say this is my last time coming into the store! I refuse to feel like a criminal for buying something for my business! Great job racial profiling!

Extremely limited selection, slow checkouts

Great choice and decent prices.

They offer a variety of products. Only issue was having to take pictures of sale signs because purchase was entered at wrong price. They fixed it after I showed them the sale. But it delayed getting out of store.

I really love coming get to fabric and crafting supplies. They offer online ordering and curb side pick up.

I found this place close to my house and I found everything I need for my netting project, everything in one place, amazing service when I came back to exchange a product for other color.

Joann always has deals going on, and coupons to print if you dont have a flyer. They are pricey without the coupons, so make sure you take one with you when you go. That said, their selection of fabric is decent and they carry a bit of everything else craft related. The staff is always pleasant (which Im so grateful for.) Parking is also almost always decent. Plus this location is close to other main shopping centers, so its easy to fit a trip in here when needed.

False advertisement.The sign clearly states: “Buy one get one free, Free item must be of equal or lesser value”And under it, it suggests: “Buy a Heavy Duty Staple Gun for 19.99 get a pack of Staples for free (a 5.99 value)”However, as mentioned above it stated “Free item must be of equal OR lesser value” giving you an option of choosing between two things when it states the “or.”For the reason above I wanted to get another stapler instead of the staples or another item as it is the same value. Furthermore, I communicated with the manager about the wording and issue of this matter, but she came harsh and rude towards me when I spotted the error. The sentence “Free item Must be of Equal or Lesser Value” should be revised or it should not even be used, so the underneath is implied directly as it should’ve been. This way the customer does not mistake this as an option provided. I still bought my item and didn’t get any free item.I am writing this review hoping Joann Fabrics and Crafts sees this and fixes the above stated. Thank you! I really like JoAnns fabrics and crafts. I always find what Im looking for. Ive shopped at JoAnns for many years and have only encountered one rude staff person. I would still recommend JoAnns

I love the selection, and the sales/coupons, and the cashiers are usually friendly and happy to help. But the other ladies (the cutters) are so grouchy. Maybe they HAVE to work and this is one of the only jobs they can do (physically) but, the women who cut fabric for the customers are ALWAYS grumpy. I have tried to make them smile or brighten their day--Im a bartender and usually pretty successful at this--but they act as if I am the most annoying customer theyve ever had to deal with. If you do not know exactly how much you want, dare to ask the price/yard, and, God forbid, you are not an all-knowing, expert seamstress/tailor/clothier, and actually have a question! If you have to go to this location, my advice is, dont go to the fabric cutting station seeking help with anything but!

Older woman told me that there was no sale on the fabric I had chosen. What she didnt know was that I had the coupon on my phone and that is why I came to the store in the first place. Girl next to her frightened and could not make I contact but said nothing in fear of the other woman. When I went up front they used my 40% coupon. She shouldnt be working there. She does it every time I have her. Next time ill record her.

Really friendly employees. Huge selection. I wish aisles were marked better for faster location of items. Even though I live in the Westchase District, this Katy location is my favorite one to visit.

This is the last time i will purchase fabric from this location. The last couple of times I had been here - I have noticed a change in the attitudes of the employees. There is an air of arrogance, piety, and lack of customer service. The cashier is condescending and could not be bothered. He has an attitude that can send a relatively good spirited customer leaving fumed enough to leave a poor review and swearing never to set foot in this location.I am a seamstress who frequents this store for sundries and basic fabric. I will take my Joann runs to Sugar Land or the other Joann’s down i10 near memorial city.Shame on you Joann’s on Fry.

I have to admit I am here WAYY too often for my own good. They typically have a good selection of fabrics and beads. Always have a coupon handy or download the coupon on the app BEFORE you go in as cell service is SPOTTY at best and you cant pull up the website once at the register. Their other store on i-10 typically has a better selection of bridal and occasion fabrics.

Went in to this location and the lady in fabric told me that they had a 50% off coupon that they would except. So I went to the register and showed the girl the coupon on the site and she let me know I had to have the app to use it. Well I work in customer service and when people come in with the coupon on the site and you can clearly see they know about it we take care of them but unfortunately this girl did not want to honor it. I knew their was a reason I shop at Hobby Lobby. They know how to treat customers.

Joanns had all the DMC thread that l needed for my sewing projects.

This is my favorite craft store. They have a great selection of yarn and fabrics. The staff is friendly. Im always running into other crafters happy to share their knowledge here. Add in the good prices and the clean, well-organized store, and its always a pleasure to shop here.

Fabric was on sale in addition I had a $15.00 off coupon. The clerk helping me was the best! She helped me figure out how much material I needed for my projects but said if it was not right, I could return it as long as I had my receipt. Great service and friendly staff.

If youre into crafting, this is the place..great stuff and seasonal merchandise is always on sale.

My sister is into everything fabrics, yarns and crafts. Joanns almost always has what she is looking for.

Staff is hit or miss, some of the tenured staff you can tell are over helping customers and give you some attitude when you ask for help but others are great! If you know what you want youll be ok. nevertheless its a great crafting store and wife loves it.

Even though it has good assortment, I couldnt find a rounded mirror that was listed online.

Found what I was looking for and had a nice chat with the in-store sewing machine dealer even though I was very clear that I was not purchasing a sewing machine she was more than helpful and willing to discuss a unit that I was receiving as a gift from a Jo-Anns fabrics location in another state as a gift.

It would be easy to give this place the fifth star if they only had a few chairs, maybe a few magazines or even a TV as a hubby drop-off site while the ladies shopped. It would be so much more inviting for couples to go.

Its been quite a bit of time here with my wife. They are pretty good selection and the prices arent too bad if you find a coupon. Youve never had an issue with the staff so they seem to be doing a good job.
