Dropped my Kia off on November 6th for a diagnostic. I was called on Monday the 8th that my car was ready for pickup. Upon arriving a noticed a large scratch down the back left panel of my car. Since my advisor Tommy was not there that day, I was advised to leave and that he would call me to schedule the repair. The following day, my spouse arrived at the dealership and was told they would not repair it. They refused to take responsibility for the damage they had done. Saying the car wash is a separate entity and it was scratched there. I told them I had requested not to have a car wash. They told me no one could help me on the 8th since my service advisor was not there. Once I left with my car, no one would take responsibility when I came back as requested on the 9th.

Seth Evans is always great. Hes been my service advisor the past two times Ive gone. The most recent visit, they let me drop the car off and Seth called me let me know what they would be doing and what time it would be ready. I appreciate Seth being honest when he said the cabin air filter was on backorder so I wasnt charged for it on that trip. I also appreciate that the car was ready when he said it would be. Its super convenient that Southside Kia is right across the road from where I work!

The only reason I am giving one star is because I like KIA. However, Southside KIA not so much. My motor locked up and Kia replaced my motor for free. However, after I towed it to the dealership, my starter stopped working while it was there. They text me and said it will costs 835$ to replace the starter....? I told them I really have no choice and reluctantly said do it. So I looked up an OEM starter just out of curiosity(costs approx. 200$ - they charged me over 400$ just for parts). On Sat, they told me it would be done by noon hopefully. At 1PM I text to check in and I heard nothing until I reached out again on Monday and received a response that said it was good to go. When I picked up my car the interior was covered in a sand/ dust substance and ironically on the invoice there was a line item for a complementary car washing. I just assumed that meant they took all the dirt from the exterior and dumped it in the interior.

Well car got fix thats the great news, AL I believe his name was very helpful and friendly. The only problem is..they could of at least vacuum the cigarette ashes after they was done fixing the car. In not a smoker so I instantly notice the smell when I hopped in...I mean good gawd,front seat and back seat in guessing they went on break using my vehicle. Just make sure you check you car before you leave the place.i vacuum and carpet clean the the car. But all it takes for one Karen to have this problem....and Bam!! On the news!!

My husband and I came from Panama City to Jacksonville for a Mayo clinic appointment. We stopped by the Southside Kia dealership after an appointment hoping to catch a 2022 Telluride on the lot to test drive. Daryl Bautista met us and was absolutely amazing! He took the time to point out and demonstrate all the features on the new 2022 Telluride. He explained the differences in the EX and SX editions and addressed all my questions. Between his knowledge of the product, his humorous personality, and his great salesmanship, we left with that nice new ride!

First time here and my experience went well, just needed an oil change. Meanwhile they did a quick diagnostics check on my car. Very pricey on additional car services; I was quoted almost $1000 for my rear brakes & tires, I have never paid that kind of money. Meanwhile, Ill have to get my brakes and tires done elsewhere but my service advisor during my visit was nice.

I recently got a Kia Rio from Auto Boutique at the end of March. I decided to go to Kia of Southside to have them service my vehicle. A decision I am happy I made. The first visit Ray took care of me. Todays visit Carissa took care of me. They make you feel like V.I.P. They have water, coffee, snack machines and wifi. They also have a shuttle. I came in at 8am and within the hour they communicated any issues and asked if I wanted those services done. I said yes and was gone within the next hour. I an very pleased to come to the professionals. They always provide great service. I love it here. I didnt even need the shuttle since it didnt take long to work on my vehicle. I am happy that there is another option if I need it. They also wash your car for free. Thank you Kia.

After a negative experience at the Kia dealership closest to my home I decided to make an appointment at Southside Kia. I made arrangements to leave my car for the day. After a small hiccup in the morning, Tommie Mercer went above and beyond to make sure I was made aware of everything going on each step of the way and I really feel they gave me the best pricing as nothing was covered under my warranty. I drive a 2016 Optima. The cars have a common issue with the power window regulator going out in the drivers door. While I can understand a warranty running out, I cant understand them charging $330 for a part you can find for $180 online.Point is, do your research if you can.

I went to look at at k5 that was $29,000 online!. When I get there it was $32,000. I was told the dealership has to fluctuate the price due to the market..That’s fine (I guess) but you need update the website.. then in the negotiations south side Kia never wanted to come off the price of the car. Just wanted to extend the loan…this dealership to me was using your basic.. bait and switch!. Get you into the showroom, but then have another (higher price).Oh, I was also told the the extra $3000 was for dealer installed options.. pinstripe and window tint.. $3000 fir that!. Really! STAY CLEAR.. call fir notice before you make the drive..

Made an appointment to have the service department look at the paint that is peeling on my 2018 Kia Sedona. Service manager couldnt be bothered because I am 2 months out of warranty for the paint. I was told to contact Customer Care. The dealers refused to even look at my carWhen I contacted Customer Care, I was told that the proper procedure is for the dealership to confirm the paint damage and that I would need to go back to the dealership. The dealership is a 30 minute drive each direction.Needless to say, I wont be using Southside Kia. Very disappointing. And to think, I would have considered upgrading to a brand new Carnival today and they told me to leave.

Collin from Southside KIA was especially helpful...explaining insurance and showing me vehicles to get me back on the road. My experience at Southside Kia for auto repairs was them charging several thousand(!!) dollars to throw random parts at the issue hoping they would work, rather than properly diagnosing the issue by testing the failed parts. I would highly recommend others avoid going here for repairs on their Kia.My 2015 Kia Optima stalled while driving, so I had the towing company take it to Southside Kia. Ray was my repair person. He originally diagnosed my car with a bad fuel pump. This would be 1k. I let him make this repair, but it did not fix my car. He then claimed it would be my wiring harness. This was going to be a 4k repair.I had it towed to a different, more reputable car repair shop. The issue with the car was the PCM which they were able to quickly diagnose and fix. They tested the wiring harness and it was completely fine. From their perspective, they assume nothing was actually wrong with my fuel pump at all. Two critical parts likely didnt fail at the same time, the error codes were most likely sourced to the PCM issue. Southside Kia quoted me 5k in repairs that would NOT fix my vehicle and they would still end up charging me another 2k to get the proper fix (if they ever ended up finding the real issue).They spent no time properly diagnosing the vehicle, if they did they would have realized the wiring harness was completely fine. Im so glad I didnt spend nearly 7k, if not more, for their mechanics to just throw random parts at my car hoping that it would fix the issue. If you need repairs on your Kia, take it elsewhere.

I purchased a Kia Soul late September and the sales part went very smoothly. Devron was my sales person who had just started and he made sure I was taken care of. He didn’t pressure me to buy and consistently made sure I was getting what I wanted. I was able to get a temporary tag so they could handle the registration and drive it out that day.I’m giving them three stars due to the finance department. I told Tony in finance that I had a plate already from a car I no longer have that I wanted to transfer my plate and tag to the Kia. Devron had even explained the process before I saw Tony that my decal would be mailed and I would just add it to my current plate. I also asked Devron if they’d need my current registration and he had said no. About three weeks later, I called and asked about my registration in case I needed to extend the temporary tag. Tony had told me they would print my registration that I would just need to come and pick it up. I go to pick it up, and I noticed on the registration that a completely different license plate was on my registration. I find out that a new plate is issued on October 13 that I should get it in the mail soon. When I stopped by the DMV to see if they can extend my temporary tag, they said they couldn’t since I have a Lienholder and the dealership would have to give me a new tag. Then, when I called finance to see if they can supply me a new temporary tag, Tony told me he couldn’t do anything and that I would have to wait for my plate. I call and ask if there is a tracking number for my plate since they said it mailed on the 13th, and I still haven’t heard anything back from Tony when he said he’d call back 15-30 minutes today. So basically, I cannot drive my car until I have my metal plate, and I am VERY frustrated.I love the Kia but if I’d known I was going to go through this trouble with Southside Kia, I would’ve traveled farther and went back to Family Kia in St. Augustine or go to Toyota where I know I wouldn’t have had this problem.

I was on a long road trip with my family when the transmission light came on. I was fearing the worst, until I entered the service area where i was greated with a bright smile that i could see through a mask. Marshall took care of us and kept me at ease while i was waiting with 2 young kids and 2 dogs. The serviceman Eric was extremely kind to us as my kids refer to him as the car doctor. They took care of the car in a timely manner. I walked out of there feeling relieved and well taken care of.

Terrible dealership if I could give 0 stars I would. Took my Kia in for a recall faulty motor. They have officially had it for 6 months and counting. My husbands car had the same thing done a year ago fixed in 2 weeks gave us a rental. This time expected same speed so said it’s ok we don’t need one since we had an extra car after them having it for 4 months requested a rental since my husbands car started to act was told no we can’t give you one now. You can get a rental and try and get it reimbursed after your car is fixed. We get the run a round daily or person that is handling our case is never in office to talk. We had our car taken in here March 3. It’s now September 2 and we still don’t have our car fixed no estimated date and they will still not give us a rental. We have now reach out to a lawyer. WORST DEALSHIP EVER!

This was our first visit as we were sure a software update was needed. We were assigned to Carisa and I have to say from the minute we started talking about our issue and up until the moment she handed me over my keys after repair she had such great customer service! I had my reservations since they looked very busy when we showed up and usually you do not find customer service to be good when it is busy but that was not the case. They not only updated the software I needed but also addressed 3 recall issues I was unaware of. The only one regret was I wish I would have taken her up on the car wash offer because driving home and then seeing the greasy hand prints from the technician was not cool especially after I had just had my car washed the day before. When they call me for my recall fix I will definitely take them up on that car wash.

Never going again. I went the first time to repair my steering wheel because the buttons on it were not working, luckily that was covered by the vehicle warranty. I also had to replace the bottom scrape guard under the engine and got charged $400 for a $200 part, outrageous, skipped out on that and went to a friend who did it for me. Came in a month later, the trunk latch sprung open on me while going 60mph down the highway, figured it would cost me 80 bucks, 30 for the trunk latch, and being generous, thought itd be around 50 or so for labor. $457, just so they could install a $30 part I found on amazon and replaced the next day. On top of that, whenever they wash the car they leave water spots all over the paint and finger smudges all over the glass, skip out on the wash. Additionally, I specifically asked them to skip the 10 or 12 point vehicle inspection because I didnt want it, yet I was still told to wait around for an hour and half while they did the very thing I asked them not to; I came in asking for my trunk to be fixed, not know that my tires were in great condition. Just like I said, never going again.

On 08/07/21, I purchased a vehicle from Southside Kia and the sale associate was Nick. During the car buying process I was told that I had to accept a package that paid for tint and other extras. Nick told me I could not opt out of this package for the amount of $2600 even after I told him I rather not take the package. I was told that the package was not optional and someone would contact me to bring the vehicle in for the extras to be added.A week went by and I heard nothing for Nick or Southside Kia. I contacted Southside Kia three times and twice spoke to Nick and once spoke to an unknown male. During all three calls I was promised a return phone call from Nick and he would arrange to have my vehicle picked up and serviced. After no return phone calls and being blown off by the dealership I went into Southside Kia and spoke to the manager on duty. When I arrived a Southside Kia I met with Sales Manager Damone Smith. During my meeting with Damone he assured me that my vehicle would be picked up on Tuesday 09/07/21 from my place of business in the morning and returned to my place business and the end of the day. Damone even sent me a text message to verify he had the correct number. On Tuesday I received no phone call and no one came to pick up the vehicle.I again, contacted Southside Kia and I again spoke to Nick. Nick said someone would pick up the vehicle on Tuesday 09/14/21 but, that day came and went with no call or service. At this point this is getting stupid and highly unprofessional. The day I was contemplating buying the vehicle I received no less than five phone calls from Nick for the sale. But, after the sale I am treated as if my time and vehicle are unimportant. This is unacceptable and I would never recommend this dealership to anyone based on this sole experience.

AC not working in my wifes 2019 Sorento, which is under warranty. Southside Kia examined and concluded the wrong windshield had been installed when she had one replaced, and therefore the AC sensor in the windshield would not work. Offered to replace the windshield for $1,500 and charged $150 for the diagnosis -- which was wrong. Took it to a windshield company, who said it WAS the correct windshield and all it needed was for the sensor to be calibrated. (The second company would have replaced the windshield for $500.) Nice folks but Southside botched this one.

My car was not dripping but pouring oil and I was a total nervous wreck, that it was gonna be something that I couldn’t afford. I had never had something this major to happen. Starting with Theresa setting my appointment, she was so nice and answered all of my questions and I had a lot of them. To Tommie Mercer who put all of my fears and nervousness that he clearly saw to rest. He said “It’s ok I got you” and that he did. He explained everything step by step. Had the nicest shuttle driver(I forgot his name I just remember he had a beard)to take me and my daughter home. He called and kept me informed and they even washed all of the oil that had sprayed all over my car from underneath. Their timing was on point, Had a nice young lady to pick me back up(Young lady with blonde hair)and I couldn’t have had a better experience. Thank you all at Southside KIA who was involved that day cause my nerves was shot…lol❤️

My husband took his vehicle in for an oil change. This took 3.5 hours, even though he had an appointment. When he went to the garage this evening, he found all of the oil had leaked out of the vehicle. We have tried to get a manager to call and correct this over this weekend so that he has his car for work on Monday, but with no luck. I would not take my vehicle to a dealer that can mess up an oil change so badly and does not value correcting promptly when a mistake is made. Do not recommend.

This is the Second Time purchasing a vehicle from Southside Kia. I have owned every type of vehicle, including Mercedes, Jaguar, Porsche, Infiniti, Cadillac, Toyota, etc. I Never thought in a million years that I would ever consider, yet alone be on my second Kia purchase. After a client, essentially gave me his all-optioned Hyundai Sonata, and being Hyundai owns Kia, we decided to give Kia a try for an additional, secondary car for the family. Boy, were we happily surprised. Considering the price point on this Kia, we decided to give it a shot. We argued over who was going to drive this car. The recently purchased New one, was even better. I look at the Jaguar, Porsche Macon, and I kid you not, they are the only type of car in that segment that look as good as our New Kia. The car drives like a dream. The warranty is second to none. The buying experience at the dealership was excellent, and the price was very fair...what more could you want. 5 Stars across the board. Dont hesitate to give Kia a test drive, you will be shocked at how good these vehicles are for the money. Even the reliability ratings among major car manufacturer ratings were among the top. Try a Kia, youll buy one, and Southside Kia, put the frosting on the cake.

I was searching for a used Kia Soul for my wife and found a 2020 Kia Soul LX at Southside Kia on 7/13/2021. After researching the vehicles CarFax Report, I discovered an Open Recall that raised some questions that were not immediately addressed to my satisfaction. Kendrick Brown (Salesman) was helpful, but didnt have a complete handle on the situation. I elevated my concerns to Sean Mackey (2nd in Charge) and he was able to answer the question of when the open recall items were resolved. I had a chance encounter to meet Sean on the day I picked up the vehicle and thanked him again for his assistance. I also appreciated receiving a follow-up email from Daryl Bautista of Southside Kia thanking me for my business. My wife is happy with the vehicle and that makes me happy.

Went in for oil change and asked them to check loud noise. After inspecting vehicle they said there were several things wrong, but most noticeable problem was brakes needed to be replaced. When I asked how bad they were I was told all 4 were in the red zone and needed to be replaced. When I asked about rotors I was told those were fine and didnt need to be replaced. Asked what else was wrong and was told that was it. So apparently the several things wrong were just brakes. Explained I would get brakes done somewhere else since price quoted was $100 more than average prices I looked up. Later found out from another brake inspection that rear brakes were fine but front rotor needed to be replaced.When I reviewed the paperwork myself the report notes that although front brakes tested red, rear brakes were still in the yellow. Report also stated battery tested red but I was never told anything about battery and now wondering what that even means. The final straw is when I noticed the report stated I declined belts being inspected. I specifically chose dealership for oil change because it INCLUDED inspections.Overall feel like they were just determined to sell services,, regardless of what was truly needed.

These guys are great !!!...the way customer service should be...if you own a KIA dont go to one of the local tire shops like I did for maintenance...I had my transmission fluid flushed and changed at 60K by Tire Kingdom and in a few months I started hearing noises when trans was shifting...I finally wised up and took it to Southside Kia and had the fluid flushed and changed again at 70k thinking T.K. used the wrong type of fluid or something...well the service manager told me the technician said they overfilled it, way over filled it !!!...the car is now shifting better than ever and without noise...as long as I own this Kia it will be going to Southside Kia for all my maintenance from now on.

Bought a new 2021 kia forte and great experience with the sales team. But when it comes to service its a different story. I have brought the car back two times for it being all over the road on the highway over 65mph.Both times the service department says they can not duplicate the problem. So then I asked for the service rider to ride with me and he insisted he drive. Let him drive and he said he didnt feel the problem so I asked to let me drive and he keep make ever excuses not to pull over and switch. Also had the alignment check and it was out to the right so they supposedly reset it. But the car still is all over the road. Brought the car home and had a friend drive it and he said he could feel it no problem. Just seems like kia does not want to do anything to help..Also the car only has 3,000 miles and was a quart and half low on engine oil.

Came to the dealership today to look at the new Telluride and had the worst experience. The salesman was very disinterested and giving bad attitude. I asked a couple questions and got the worst half baked answers. I have read online about some different info regarding ratios on the 2nd and 3rd rows which he just told they are all the same.... then I was asking about which addons the car had (the top of the line SX) and he said no addons and proceed to say that the car had a more expensive price than the MSPR because there are not too many in the market and everywhere in the US have inflated places (that is a lie... even Kia Orange Park has 3-5k cheaper prices than Jax). Taking my money to Orange Park even if I have to drive 30min where they probably will value me as a customer and deliver a decent service. I would stay away from this dealership...

I contacted Tommie Mercer, Service Advisor about a brake card I received in the mail. It didnt look generic and when he looked into it for me it turned out that on my last visit it was noted my brakes were in the Red. I had missed that and didnt recall being advised. Tommie got me in that day at the time I chose and my car was taken back right away. I talk to him about traveling in the near future and purchasing a spare tire instead of the kit in my car now. Tommie did all the research while I waited, provided me options and also for the trip checked out all my 60,000 miles services had been complete. Ray Caraballo took over the handling of my service and had the spare installed with the jack like it came with the car. Ive worked with Ray before, he is always a great guy, helpful, keeps it real and gets it done. It was nice meeting Tommie and having him on the Kia Service Team too. People say I am nuts for going to the dealership, but I always feel like Ive done the best for my car. Never disappointed. Thank you everyone!

I always have a good experience whenever I speak with sales however the service dept is a wreck. You have to talk to your service advisors about literally everything the most basic of questions if you ask anyone in that area they act like they can’t help you and they have to get your service advisor. My service advisors seemed very irritated about everything. She came off very “dry” and acted as if she didn’t really want to be bothered. To top it off she called and gave a quote on some recommended work. I decided to not to go with the recommendation. I pick my car up and there was a fee for my oil change which was suppose to be free because I have a maintenance plan. So I inform her that’s is free along with tune ups so she fixed the price and tells me tune ups are not included . We get into a disagreement about this in which she begins walking away while I’m trying to talk to her . She tells me I need to speak to whoever I spoke to last about it which I did he cleared everything up as always. He then informs me that my rotations and cabin air filters are included in maintenance plan. Which is what the service rep recommended I replace and quoted me for to have it replaced.............Very disappointed.

Glen Lepkowsky helped me get my 2017 Jeep Renegade. This was my first car that I have bought on my own and Glen made my experience amazing. He was very honest and upfront about everything and even after a few weeks he has called me to see how I am doing and if I am still happy with my purchase. I do have a small story to tell, after everything was completed at the dealership I went next door to get some dinner with my new Jeep and when I got back to my Jeep it no longer turned on. I walked back over to the dealership and told them that the Jeep was not turning on and we needed some help. One of the other associates came over to take and look and said Its the battery. They did not have any batteries at the dealership that they could replace it with but they helped jump my Jeep and told me to go get a new battery and drop off a copy of the receipt and they would reimburse me in FULL for the new battery. So, I went and got a new battery and dropped off a copy of the receipt and today I received a check in the mail for the new battery purchase. I give this place 5 stars all around. As a young professional I felt valued and heard about any concerns or questions I had. Glen and the rest of the associates at Southside Kia in Jacksonville are great!

Tommie Mercer handled the recall for my Kia Sportage super fast and efficiently. I dropped my car off right at closing and I got a call the very next morning before 9 am saying it was ready for pick up! He was very nice and thorough while answering my questions and I told them I wanted to turn the sound off my car makes when I hit the lock button on my keychain and they went in the settings of my car and turned it off for me right before driving it up for me to get in and leave. I was absolutely amazed with the service they provided! My fiancé had issues addressing his recall at Ford and he still hasn’t been able to get it fixed because they told him it would be days before they can get to his truck! But wanted him to leave it with them while he’s up here in Jax working full time! Tommie at Southside Kia understands that people don’t have that kind of time to be without their vehicle! I don’t recommend anyone to buy a Kia. They are full of problems and the service team doesn’t know how to fix it. Prepare yourself to pay double the cost of the vehicle just in repeated service fees. Always with the promise of “okay we fixed it for sure this time”, then you’re back within a few days.

Service center is about as shot as it gets. Imagine being told your Alternator is leaking oil. This is the equivalent to telling someone they havent changed the blinker fluid. I paid the 160 diagnostic fee, only to be told my car is broke pretty much. Wouldent be as bad if ALREADY knew this. I needed to know WHY it was giving issue. I needed to know HOW to fix it.As someone who works in IT and in Break/Fix, this is an entirely unacceptable answer. If someone paid me the diag to DIAGNOSE a PC, I better have a answer other than Its broke, needs motor.Telling me the Alternator leaks oil is negligent because there are no parts that take oil (relatively) near it. It quite literally bolts to the block with 3-4 bolts and is held in place. I know this because I watched the thing be replaced. At no point did anyone require Oil for anything. Nobody cleaned up oil, nobody even had oil on their hands. If you have oil in your Alternator, there is a very high chance it doesnt work.This brings me to my next point, if the Alternator is somehow causing a oil leak, whats the issue with draining the fluids, backing off the alternator and replacing whatever seal may or may not be there? Why did we instantly go to NEEDS NEW MOTOR?Dont use this service center. Its already well known dealerships make more money off CPO and the Service center. They literally charged me a diag fee to say your car is broke and not give me a real response. I even asked for a picture and was refused to be produced one.EDIT: The dealership actually called me to confront me about this review. Didnt ask what they could do to fix it, just to tell me im a POS. The person who replied never returned any of my emails. They then was followed with a few other 1 star reviews so take this as your sign to stay far away.EDIT 2: Turns out, all it needed was an alternator. I paid another mechanic 680 to replace it and havent had any issues. Oil and dirt came off the exterior of the motor and fell into the alternator causing it to fail. There is no Major oil leak and no Massive crack form the front of the motor to the rear causing oil loss The new mechanic washed the engine with soap and hot water to confirm none of that was remotely true.Absolutely pathetic they were 100% ready to tell me im financially ruined and take me for a wild ride. Gross incompetence on the Service centers, all aspects. How many people have they ERRONEOUSLY overcharged because they have unskilled laborers making the final decisions on claims? This has become a serious concern as this doesnt seem to be the first time this has happened. Ive notified the appropriate consumer protection groups. Disgusting. You should be ashamed. Make sure you tell Seth who called me to confront me hes an absolute moron who knows nothing apparently and couldnt be bothered to look at it for more than 15 seconds, given they kept it for almost 6 weeks. That or hes new.TLDR: Kia on Atlantic will just throw numbers out to see what you will pay. They will even call to reinforce this idea. STAY FAR AWAY
