Fantastic store, excellent (maintenance) customer service! Hunter was fantastic setting my bike up for an upcoming race - very professional with a high degree of attention to detail! I had to go back and Joey spent time fixing a minor issue - both Hunter and Joey were fantastic and made the whole experience pleasant. In a time when the bike industry is seeing supply chain issues and increased workload (maintenance wise) MY NUMBER ONE consideration is customer service - how am I being treated, communicated with? In my experience with Bicycles Etc. this past week - I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely go back (this shop is not the closest bike shop for me - but Ill make the trip to get quality service!)
As a professional bicycle mechanic and general industry guy, I trust no one else to work on my own bikes when I am in a pinch. If cheap price and shoddy repair work are what you are after...... go elsewhere. If you want your rig repaired by some of the most knowledgeable and diligent mechanics on the East coast, and are willing to pay a fair price..... look no further. Great crew, wealth of knowledge and great products to boot!

Matt was very courteous and professional. He took the time to explain the features on the two hitch bike racks on which I was trying to decide. After I made the purchase, he quickly installed the rack and patiently explained to me how to operate it. Matt made the shopping and installation process very pleasant!

The customer service was wonderful from every employee (especially Mat) from the moment we stepped through the door the first time, and when we came back a few minutes later after deciding to purchase. Mat helped us choose the bikes that best suited my husband and I which meant trying out a few bikes. They kept us in the price range we wanted, and even when we decided to consider other shops at one point, he wrote down recommendations. Genuinely good people!
The customer service from the minute I arrived until I loaded my daughters new bike in my car was exceptional. The team listened to my needs and never talked down to me as a bike novice. I didnt feel like they were over selling me either on items I didnt need. I will definitely be back!
Drew took his time to assess the issues I was having with my bike. Others were there to support and chime in on suggestions. They all seemed knowledgeable and willing to help however needed to get it right.
The showroom is filled with a variety of bikes. After honing in on one we liked, Drew answered every question we had. We ended up leaving the same day with a bike. We will be repeat customers to get my husband one as well!
Everyone was very helpful, from the initial phone call talking to Owen who was very willing to look up the bikes that I was inquiring about to stopping in to look at them and have Drew get them out for me to take a spin to making a purchase and leaving to eat lunch and figure out how to get it home to calling and telling Matt that I will come back the next day to pick it up then calling the next day to tell Nick that I changed my mind, I want to go with the other bike and I was on my way to pick it up to getting there and have Matt install a basket, ring me up, help me get it loaded and safely secured for the 1 hour plus drive home. Not many people go the extra mile with the willingness and a genuine smile on their face like everyone at Bicycles Etc. did for me!I will definitely tell anyone that needs a bicycle, parts or repair service to contact the guys in Jacksonville on Phillips Hwy.

My road bike hasnt been properly serviced in quite a few years. Chris asked me about my riding preferences and then provided some options for making it safer and more comfortable. He had an easy familiarity with the technical specs on my bike and made it easy for me to make some choices. I would recommend them for strong expertise and excellent customer service.
Superb customer service from Drew, Chris, and Mike. They were so helpful and informative and helped get me the gravel bike I wanted and the accessories I needed. They each took extra care to answer all my questions and get me back riding again with my new bike. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Went there for help with saddle soreness and ended up buying an $800 bike I dont want. Verve 3 is a well-made, smooth bike compared to my 35-year-old model and made a good impression in the parking lot. I liked the technology upgrade but this seat causes worse soreness. And it is so slow! An old grandpa bike. Im so discouraged I would probably stop riding altogether if I didnt have my old bike. Was told to bring it back and go for a ride for adjustments that could make a huge difference. That didnt go well and I was offered about 50% of what I paid to trade in for another new bike. Sorry I decided to make the trip to Jax to this shop.

Drew and his team always help me with things that are helpful and necessary. They never push extra things that can make the repair too expensive, but they do insist on doing things correctly. They did a super job with a total overhaul of my 2014 Specialized Roubaix and my wife loves her new Townie Electra eBike. Great shop.
Before shopping at Bicycles, Etc I had assumed that everything would be super high-end and the staff would not want to deal with someone who just wants to ride around the neighborhood - I couldnt have been more wrong. I was treated like a valued customer, all of my questions were answered and when I made my purchase I felt completely confident I had the right bike for my needs. It was such a great experience.Prior to visiting Bicycles, Etc I stopped by another store where no one even greeted me, let alone try to help me find a bike.I absolutely love my new Cannondale trail bike and plan to visit the store again for accessories. I would highly recommend this bike shop regardless of if you want a basic bike or something super fancy. They are great people who clearly know theirs stuff and have a huge selection of bikes and accessories.

And I love that they have a pick-up service, I ride a tricycle and not easy to lug around.I will continue to return to them as thus far Ive been nothing but satisfied. Great customer service. Covid has limited some availability for everyone right now, but the selection is still good and they have more bikes coming in all the time. I have mine and love it and my husbands is due to arrive in December. We worked primarily with Chris Rose, and he is great, but everyone was friendly and helpful.

Charged my son $28 for changing the tube off a tire! The tube costs $3.75 @ walmart. When asked why so expensive, blondie at the register got angry and rude. Never coming back, never recommend to anyone. Ridiculous prices

The staff is friendly and knowledgable. They talk with you in order to understand your needs and guide you toward a good fit. The repair department did a great job on my tire and brakes. Used to use them years ago. Just started riding BMX again and called this location and didnt have good service at all. Also refused to do a 5 minute job. Called elsewhere and talked to someone that said Amir has been heard to not be friendly and that this job take 5 minutes and would be no issue. Looks like they lost a customer. I used to swear by them too. Gotta let the crew know to avoid this location.
This bicycle store is awesome. I went in and was greeted by a nice young lady. I described my riding disability and was taken to the exact bike I needed. I’d been there less than 10 min. She hooked me up with all the accessories and ordered the one item that was not in stock at the time. I was out of there in less than 45 min. This is place is spot on with no BS. Thank you all. Drew was really helpful. He really took time with me to explain different lock security ratings and helped me find clip-in shoes that fit me properly. My ride the next day was so much better on my feet and legs. Then he explained the physics of saddles and alleviating saddle soreness, so Ill be getting measured for an appropriate saddle soon.

Wednesday September 30th 2020 around 5pm I went to this place to purchase seven 3/16 ball bearings. There were 3 employees in the business and I spoke with 2 of them and I had also called 20 minutes prior to see if they had the items. There were no customers in the business. I got what I came for and it was a very fair price being cheaper than any other vendor I had checked online prior to calling. I got a very off putting vibe here. It felt like I was a bother to these folks. They didnt say or do anything I would call rude but they were not welcoming at all. This place seems to have very good reviews so maybe I caught them on an off day. I went here because they were the closest bike to me otherwise Ive always done business with zencog. I wish I would have driven out of the way to this time as well and next time I will. Consider this review a 3 which I am meaning as neutral. Not bad, not great, just neutral.

The mechanics ( two different Andrews and a nick) would chime in and it was a really great experience at both shops. Highly recommended if you want great products with great service. Great service and very prompt! I asked them to fix the derailleur on my Schwinn after my child got it caught in the spokes. They fixed and repaired by the next day at a great price! Very friendly and great to work with.

(Please read entire review for update on 8/8/20)Well, I understand bikes are scarce right now however I was in the Philips hwy store in early July and decided on a bike that I was told was on back-order but would arrive on July 27 so I put down a deposit to hold it. I arrived at the store that day and was told by the manager it was delayed and would arrive today Monday Aug. 3rd. To her credit she went to the trouble of contacting Trek when I was there on July 27 and was in fact informed that Aug. 3 was a good arrival date. She all but guaranteed the bike would arrive on 8/3 but as I continued to talk to her she walked off right in the middle of a question I was asking, so I left feeling uncomfortable and a little insulted. A bit rude IMO. I called the shop the afternoon of Monday 8/3 and was informed the trek shipment had not arrived. Thats not a problem however the young man I spoke with told me Trek shipments usually arrive on Wednesdays not Mondays (as I was previously told by the manager) and was told to call back on Wednesday 8/5.So its now 8/5 and I decided to get my $180 dollar deposit back because at this point I have lost all confidence in anything Im being told by the people in this store and the shop is struggling just to make that happen. And by the way, there was a lady in front of me that was there for the same reason, to get a deposit back on a bike. Not sure what the details were with that but I have my suspicions. Two guys working on my deposit but how hard can it be? Finally got the deposit back but the young man that helped with that mentioned he had to shortcut their software just to make that happen.Also, at no point did anyone bother to ask why I wanted my deposit back and I noticed the manager was in the back of store but at no time bothered to come to the front counter.All interactions with employees in this shop were what I would expect a customer service experience should be except not asking why I wanted my deposit back and the manager, every interaction with her left me uncomfortable and with the impression I was bothering her and she was too busy to take time with a potential customer.This shop has almost a 5 star rating on Google so they must be doing something right but certainly not in my case, and having two people in the shop at the same time wanting a deposit refund strikes me as odd.I cannot in good conscience recommend this bike shop but if you decide to (attempt to) spend money there I wish you better luck than I had. Thats why I rate at 1 star.Update: The owner of these bike shops contacted me directly after my review was posted, was genuinely concerned about my poor experienceand took time to speak with me for quite awhile. Also worked with me on getting my deposit refunded. He truly understands the meaning of customer service and it was greatly appreciated.Thank you Mr. S for your personal attention and all your help in this matter.
My salesman, Spencer, did a great job of helping me find the bike that was perfect for my needs. The store had a nice selection of bikes, helmets and baskets, so I left with everything I needed for a fun and safe new ride!

Bought my road bike from their Beach Blvd location. I had narrowed my decision down to two bikes and the guy working (I cant remember his name) spent time helping me make a decision and I left with a new bike (despite having no intention of making an immediate purchase - only to look and get more info!). I think this was back in 2011. I have since taken this and my other bike to their Phillips location for various reasons over the years (tire/tube replacements, new pedals, new seat, tool kit for road bike, various repairs, etc). Cost can be on the higher side but the quality of work and integrity of staff/products is well worth every penny. Happy to support this local business.
They assembled by sons bike withing a week, and did a great job. Staff was also very helpful.
I stoped by a bike shop near my house and they did not help much on what I was looking for. I stopped in Bicycle etc and Loren helped me. Talked with her and she was very knowledgeable and patient. Came back for the Black Friday sale and she was very happy to help we actually picked out a different bike and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Everybody in the store seem very friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend anybody looking for a bike to go in and talk to the friendly staff

The staff at Bicycles etc. is their biggest asset. Chris is very knowledgeable and works on fitting the right bike for the right person. The point that they are part of the community on Facebook pages and interact with their customers, not only to make a sale.
