Lance and the team are excellent! Very good and thorough. Very reasonable prices, in and out per schedule. I had a top down, end to end inspection on our new, used van I bought online. The Pro Tech Team changed the power steering and brake fluid for the 60k mile maintenance, in addition to the inspection. In and out in under two hours.

I came here to have an aftermarket Borla exhaust system installed and they did it very well. Informed me of the fact I should come in a couple weeks later as the metal can shift from the heat so they can make minor adjustments and weld tight. Pro Tech is fantastic. Weve taken 3 different vehicles here over the years and gotten great service each time. This latest issue was the dreaded check engine light, which could be minor or very expensive. These guys diagnosed my issue, which thankfully had nothing to do with the operation of the car. Since nothing needed to be repaired and the issue couldnt be duplicated after they reset the check engine light, I wasnt charged anything, not even for the diagnosis. Its hard to find honest people in the auto repair industry, but thats what you get here. We wont take our cars anywhere else and would recommend Pro Tech to anyone.

Unbelievable people...Was passing thru on 95 with engine running hot and thought surely last thing i need to happen is something to blow 600 miles from home...Was blessed to find these guys who immediately took vehicle to check out issues...They came back up front in about 15 minutes and told me what was likelky the issue and charged me zilch...Said it is definitely a gauge issue that can be fixed when i get home and it wont blow...So i leave and either they fixed it for free or it self corrected which is less likely cause it was running perfect after i left there lot...God bless em...

Lantz is the most honest guy Ive ever met, He will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need done and done right the first time, and stand behind what he did for you, I will not go to anyone else, sometimes you do have to wait a bit to get your car or truck in but it is worth it.

I was recommended to come to Pro Tech by a coworker. I brought my 2003 Chevy Avalanche due to a rough idle and fuel pump replacement. Lantz and his crew did a thorough diagnosis and found a couple easy fixes of vacuum line replacements (I was told elsewhere it needed a $500 intake manifold). Had a couple issues with the fuel pump that were quickly and effectively replaced. Just wanted to pass on my great experience and say that im glad I found a local mechanic that is trustworthy and seems to care about his customers.

Taken a couple of vehicles there now, and Lantz has been upfront, honest, and helpful. Service has been friendly done on time, and status communicated well. Couldnt really ask for much more out of a repair shop. Highly recommended.

When I pick a mechanic, I always ask myself in order, are they honest?, so they know what theyre doing?, and are their prices fair?. Protech has satisfied my questions every time Ive been there. It has become my new go-to place for all automotive needs. The only downside is how busy they get, which is understandable. Plan to make an appointment well in advance if you can.

I recently had some mechanical work done at Pro Tech Automotive and was very pleased with the whole experience. The owner, Lance Herman, explained everything in detail to me what needed to be done before the work was started. When I went to pick up the truck he went out of his way to lift the hood and walked through the whole process of all the parts installed and where they were in the engine compartment. Weve been here many times and have never been disappointed. My hubby took his truck here for some extensive diagnostics and mechanical repairs. I took my Infiniti here for the mirrors to be replaced. And lastly, Hubs took his new car here after his truck was totaled and needed the car checked out prior to finalizing the purchase as it was a used vehicle. The staff uses their time wisely, treats our cars very well, theyre priced competitively, and they know their stuff. Clean waiting room, and they communicate very well, updating you on progress with repairs. They also have a key drop, so if you need to leave your vehicle there to be seen at the open of the next business day, thats an option. Ladies, please take note: They have always been respectful to me no matter what, and never tried to pull one over on me or blow me off. So if you are looking for a place that doesnt look at you with dollar signs in their eyes, this is a great place, and they run a no-nonsense tight ship.

I brought my car in because I accidentally filled my tank with diesel (I know, how could I). Lanz was so great and HONEST! I asked him if I had to have anything changed and if I needed to drop my tank in order to save my engine (MAJOR JOB $$$), and he insisted that the car would be fine without doing so, but if I wanted to do that he would do it for me. He gave me estimated prices over the phone and stuck to them, and didnt insist on me changing parts that he confidently explained would not be damaged, unlike a many other mechanics I called. I called multiple times, and Lanz patiently answered all of my very extensive questions. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Update from 2021: Lantz got me in quickly after my radiator cracked. Fixed it the next day. Also did a great job on a 4 wheel brake job during the same visit. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend again.From circa 2018: Very pleased with the work at Pro-Tech Automotive. Had an AC compressor replaced on Toyota Sienna. Lantz quoted me the job on the phone with great detail. Quote was significantly less that local dealership. It turns out that I did not need the extensive work that was first thought, so the final repair cost came in even lower than the estimate. Did the work in less than a day. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

A good car repair shop is almost as important as having a good doctor. I had used another shop for years but they were bought out and subsequently went down hill. Then I found Pro-Tech. I have used them for over a year for work - sometimes major - on three different makes of vehicle: Subaru, Murano and Dodge. They have always gone the extra mile to find used parts vs. new where possible (see if you can get a dealer repair shop to do that) and the work they have done has always been top-notch. Ill be bringing my cars here for any repair or maintenance needs indefinitely.

To make a long story short-broke down late night on I95, 100s of miles away from home, with a sick wife and an older muscle car. Not a big block V8 but a way more finicky one. Towed the car there and dropped it off. First thing 7A dealt with Lance. Informed him of my situation and he was able to diagnose and fix it by around 10:30A. He said he was very busy and short staffed but he made it a priority. Shop is in a decent location with hotels closeby. Tried to give him extra and he wouldnt even take it. Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy.

Pro-Tech is an excellent repair shop. They are always quick to fix just the problem that needs to be repaired and the price is always reasonable. I have had great customer service at a decent price since switching to Pro Tech. They are busy so you will need to call ahead, but the work has been great and they are up front with everything.

My husband has bringing our cars to Lantz for years. We recently brought our Jeep in to have the brakes and rotors replaced. We had taken our Jeep in for a recall issue and were advised by the dealer we needed new brakes and rotors. My husband decided to take the Jeep to Protech to get a second opinion. Lantz advised the brakes and rotors were just fine and that we did not need to change them yet. It’s nice to know there are honest mechanics still out there today in a world that has become so greedy. Thank you Lantz for having such great integrity. I had a strange electronic issue with my work Truck that needed to be fixed. Electric issues can be hard to diagnose and expensive, but Lance and his team had me in and out at an amazing price for the repair. I will certainly be back for anything my truck needs!

Four years later I still love this place! My family and I bought newer vehicles a few years ago so we havent seen Lance in awhile. A few weeks ago my car wouldnt start and he was able to fit me in. He tested it and it just needed a new battery and thats what he did. He didnt try to sell me anything extra and he could have easily told me I needed some additional things on top of the battery and I wouldnt have known any better but he doesnt do that sort of thing to people. One of them does the repairs on his truck himself but when hes out of town he sends his wife there with her SUV.Our vehicles are old. Other places will go through with their checklists and seem to be trying to find everything they can possibly sell us. Pro-Tech will find other things wrong while doing a repair and let me know whats wrong and give me the honest facts about it rather than a sales pitch.I have actually taken one of our vehicles to another place since I started using Pro-Tech. But the problem just came back a week later and when I took it to Pro-Tech they fixed the entire problem for me. There were multiple things contributing to the problem and they fixed them and it didnt cost me an enormous amount of money.I really just cant say enough good things about them. Yeah, theyre not open on the weekends. But Ive learned thats not a good enough reason to go somewhere else. Its worth it to go out of our way so Pro-Tech can fix the vehicles and we arent stuck without a vehicle again a week later. And, with as good a job as they do, they deserve weekends off.

Ive taken my cars here for almost 10 years now. This is an owner operated mechanic shop and you truely cant find a more honest mechanic around this side of town than the owner Lantz. He doesnt try to talk you into work you dont need and gives a fair price for his work. Hes there running his shop every day. I would recommend noone else for mechanical work. In the past I ve tried to save money at other mechanics and then had to come to Lantz to fix the issue again because it wasnt done right the first time. If youre worried about your car and you are looking for someone who is going to give you an honest assesment then this is the place. I recently took my car in and they are booked by appointment about a week out so keep this in mind.

This is a good shop. Been twice now for different issues with an old un-restored, mostly stock Jeep CJ (no DIY time these days.) Theyre on a very short list of places that I trust to work on it. Quality work, fair price, right the first time.

I was quoted by Lance $415 (parts & labor) to replace alternator for 2007 Toyota Camry SE 4 cylinder. I was told the alternator would cost $250. I questioned him about the price and was told the alternators that I found online from local auto parts stores were rebuilt and not re-manufactured. Since they use Napa auto parts, I looked up the part on their website and was surprised to the part listed at $179. When my car was ready, I asked Lance about the part number and price of the alternator. He told me that the part was $284. He gave me a speech about his insurance and employee costs. Then he called Napa and they told him the part was $179 as well. I ended up paying $304. He told me that the part was listed incorrectly by Napa in the system. Labor is also $95 an hour which is $22 an hour more than the Toyota dealership. If you like paying more than you should then by all means go there.

I Contacted protech a few weeks ago about adding a Catback system to my  2012 Durango, I spoke with Lantz a few times back and forth on email. With his advice on the system and where to purchase to get the best rate, I ordered the system and had it shipped to his shop. As promised he said they would charge one hour labor and to his word the job was done in about 45 minutes. I love the new sound of my truck and increased performance. This was my first visit to pro-tech auto and won’t be my last. Thanks guys for the great service.
