This place went out of their way to make sure that I had the exact pitch of prop that I needed for my small 15 horse Suzuki. My little boat gets up and goes now!

Took in a newly purchased but old 91 bass tracker. I had the steering and shift cables replaced, installed a new water pump, changed the gear oil, new plugs. I told them to go through the motor and make sure everything was in good condition. To make a long complaint a little shorter. 1. The steering cable was hooked up backwards (they fixed it). 2. The volt gauge is faulty(never registers above 10 volts), there was a leaking fuel line, the oil injection had been disconnected (sometime in the past) and (according to the yamaha dealer I took it to) when they installed the new water pump the water pickup was partially blocked causing it to overheat when hooked up to the hose in the yard. Very disappointing experience. Dont plan to go back.

Great business that’s Family owned and operated. I have only gone to them over the last year and they have gained me as a lifetime customer. Sam and his wife are awesome. Highly recommend. Any bad review is most likely not advanced marines doing but just a ignorant customer as Sam is quick to fix any mistake or overlook that may have happened and make it right with no hassle!

I chose Advance Marine to re-power my Bass Boat, and I could not be more pleased! The owner (Sam) is a no-nonsense kind of guy that shoots straight with you from the start, and I respect that. He answered all of my questions, and has an extensive knowledge of the Suzuki products he sells. I have to say that the rigging they did on my boat is second to none! I’m very particular about how my boat is rigged, and they hit it out of the park! They do not cut corners and do it right the first time. I would give them 6 stars if possible, and you cannot go wrong by choosing them.

Have gone to advanced several times. Every time i go Im more impressed than my last visit. This place goes WAY out of the way for its customers. Prices very reasonable and the level of skill, service and care CANT BE BEAT. Worth the drive no matter where you are!

Sam went above and beyond to answer every question we had about re-powering our Yellowfin, from Yamahas, to Suzukis!From the initial call to price motors, de-rigging old Yamahas, rigging and installing new Suzukis, and taking the boat out on the water for a test run- Sam was 100% from start to finish! Advanced is an excellent marine mechanic. Brought in my 4HP Yamaha outboard and he had it back to me the same day. He is a great guy that you can be confident in doing business with him.Highly recommend !!

Several months ago I bought a very expensive 300 hp Suzuki outboard from a competing dealer. When it was time for the 20 hour service I called that dealer and was told I would need to drop the boat off and theyd probably get to it within ten business days. Missing two boating weekends did not seem like an acceptable solution so I called Advance Marine. I spoke to Sam, the owner, who informed me that if I would have the boat at his shop any morning right at open he and his son would do the work while I waited. And this was even knowing that I purchased the engine elsewhere. So bright and early the next morning I backed my boat into this lot at 7:45 AM, went inside to pay his wife for the service and by 8:30 AM the work was done and I was on my way to work! Plus the price was better than what I was quoted at the dealer I bought the engine from! He allowed me to watch the work and answered all of my questions. He even offered lots of advice and suggestions for caring for the engine long term. This is a great family owned business with Sam, his wife and kids all involved. I really appreciated his can do attitude and my family is looking forward to being back on the water this weekend thanks for Advance Marine!

Brought my boat in to have them look at it. Instead of dropping it off and waiting for them to look at it. They looked at it right away and explained the problem and with 20 mins I was on my way home with the boat. They have always been great to me for years.

I live in north Jax, almost to Yulee, and its worth the drive to Sams place for our 20 boat w/ 140 hp and the small 6 hp outboard for a backyard skiff. Not just for great pricing, and an expert reputation with Suzuki when he seeks warranty coverage, but also for the blunt honesty and the exceptional craftsmanship (and timeliness). We have shared this within our Navy friends community and neighborhood; the first time people use Advance Marine they switch permanently. We did about 6 years ago.

Ive been doing business with Advanced Marine for about 3 months now..i buy repair/rehab boats mostly big boats. I also do Dock Repairs. Ive bought parts from Advanced Marine for motors. Advanced Marine has always had the part i need or directed me where to get it. I turned 2 outboard motors in for repairs..The owner HIMSELF whom i know is going through A lot of medical issues right now..despite his personal issues this man promised me one of the motors back within days because he understood my need. Even though he was going through surgery and rehab he delivered that motor and its the best running outboard i own. He is now working on the 2nd motor he also lets people know older motors are a gamble..hes very honest. The lady at the counter is home schooling children and trying to run the business with her husband..these are really good honest family run business. I have 2 more outboards im dropping off there...im VERY SATISFIED there always honest and very good service. I Would recommend this Business to anyone for repairs or parts there very good and get the repairs done in a timely fashion or if there is an issue they will let you knowAdvanced Marine is the ONLY BOAT OR MOTOR Service or Repairs ill let touch any of my Marine needs. Sam re-powered my boat and what a great job he did. I was constantly updated and kept aware of what was going on. He de-rigged and rigged my boat in half the time I was quoted by other shops. . When he was done the price was more than fair. I would refer him to any of my colleagues or friends. This is a family owned small business we should all support

Took a 99 Merc 25 2 stroke for a carb rebuild and to fix linkage/Shift cable. I called ahead and they said bring it right in. Wasn’t looked at for weeks. After 3 weeks they finally ordered the carb kit and shift cable. After a month in the shop I pick it up, and find that nothing was fixed. Motor still stalls even though they claimed they got it running. The new shift cable also never solved the actual problem that I had. Communication was poor and I had no idea what I would be paying for when I walked in a month later.

This past week will be the Second time I have been to Advance Marine, I could not be happier with their quick Service & Honesty. They will continue to get my business. Thank you.

Very good customer service. I brought my boat here after no mechanic could fix it in Jacksonville and repeatedly being charged hourly even though it wasn’t fixed at mechanics all around Jacksonville, advanced marine fixed it with no problem and charged a fair price unlike the other boat mechanics price’s that were higher in jacksonville that didn’t even fix my boat. If you need a mechanic in Jacksonville this is the guy.

Not exactly the friendliest of service. The Guy was annoyed I had questions. Also wanted to charge double for a part order I could just easily ordered online as well. Before you shop for parts here I store order them online people.

I would like to start of by stating that this summer has been off key for us at best. I would like to thanks the many customers that have helped and understood what we have went through as a business.As of the last review,1. I do not have a John Brown listed in my customer base.2. The other two customers that where here at the time had appointments. One had driven here from Atlanta Ga. and the other form Gainesville Fl.3. I did let Mr. Brown know that I would be tied up with them for about a hour, I was here by myself and was doing the best I could at the time.4. Mr. Brown had asked for parts to rig a fuel connector on a Honda engine Using Suzuki parts and did not have any part numbers to start with. This takes time time at that point I could not take away form other customers that were already here with appointments.5. Mr Brown seems to only leave negative reviews. I take my job serious and do the best that I can given the moment in time that I have to work with.Once again I would like to say thanks to all the customers that have supported us for the last 38 Years. Such an unfortunate circumstance. I was referred to this place by Goobys Creek Marina because they work on my type of engine. Lady on the phone was semi-nice and was trying to help me get work done on my 50hp Honda motor. I was told to bring my boat in 3 days after the phone call. 3 days later I am being told to wait another 4 days to bring my boat in which isnt an issue really(obviously nobody wants to NOT be on the water). The issue is, the lady was trying to talk to one of her co-workers (male) about maybe getting it in this week..the guy in the background is literally screaming at her(obviously in a bad mood) about how there is no room on the lot. Wish you had muted the phone. As some one who works in customer service every day, the last thing you want to hear being a new customer is some one being rude and screaming in the background of your phone call. I felt bad for the girl on the phone realistically, even more bad because i wanted to use these guys for all my boat needs.

New 50hp Tohatsu 4 stroke installed by Sam and his team. The installation was exceptional and extremely professional. Sam discussed my options on either a costly repair of my existing 2-stroke, or the benefits of a new 4 stroke and the advances Tohatsu has made in their newer motors. Well, several months later and he was right. This is a great motor. Advanced is a great team, Sam knows his stuff. I highly recommend.

Sam has really taken care of me over the years. Has performed everything from regular maintenance to a repower on my boats. Its nice to have someone to trust and rely on. They really care about their clients, go and see them.

I brought in an old Jon boat that had been sitting behind my garage for over 8 years. Sam & the team there could not have done a better job at tuning up the motor and having her run like new again. There was a slight delay in one of the parts that was ordered however Sam compensated for the delay in the overall price. Professional and courteous. I would recommend them to anyone looking for engine servicing. Great job guys! (And no I am not related to Sam)

Extremely disappointed with the service I received. They did not perform the work I paid for, and when I attempted to discuss the issue with the owner, he was extremely defensive and abusive and refused to even discuss the situation. He admitted last year (when they failed to perform the service the first time) that he could not trust his employees. I gave them another chance and got screwed. Dont make the same mistake I did.

Great place to bring your boat for repair.

After kicking around the idea of buying a rebuilt motor from Advanced, I decided to buy a used motor which lasted me one season. Back at square one a year later, I decided to have Advanced rebuild my 175 HP Evinrude. On the way there, my truck breaks down... Sam (the manager) comes to pick my boat up from me so that I only have to deal with the truck, then offers to take a look at my truck and diagnoses a simple fix on the spot (broken spark plug) so that I am able to avoid paying for towing or an auto mechanic. I will never use another repair shop for my outboard engines, and hope to upgrade to a 4-stroke suzuki some day.

Talked to Sam about motor options for my boat, different HP 2 vs 4 stroke ect. Caught an end of the year sale and got a great price. Picked up a 40hp efi 4 stroke and its great. I reccomend them for honest guys with good ethics.

Drive 30mins to buy parts. Waited my turn at the parts desk. Then was told by Sam he is to busy to help me for one hour. But put everything on hold for the next two people behind me. It only would have only taken 10 mins to sell me the parts I needed and collect my payment.Its a real shame as the previous people Ive dealt with there have been courteous.Going to take my business elsewhere since Sam is behind the counter.

Nice people but in the end they couldnt do the job that they said they could do. So lost a little time and had to go somewhere else.

Sams the man nothing else need be said😀 and for mr. Brown not everybody with a silver spoon up his butt gets served first we all have to wait
