I love Hilltop Automotive! They are always easy to get an appointment with, honest, thorough and quick. I have a 2008 car and although it is a blessing not to be straddled with car payments, it does require I have a competent and trustworthy mechanic shop to go to. Ive been to a few and this is where Ive decided to stay. Great team, fair prices!

Took my pick up truck to have a diagnose since had some problems with the brake system. They initially said that would be $70 to diagnose problem or $125 if they have to hook it tocomputer for a full diagnose. Technician did not do full diagnose with computer yet they still charge me for $125. They recommend this place but be careful and get everything in writing and if they said they going to do a full diagnose make sure they do it in front of you.

I have been taking my car and my wife’s car for service with Gary and Nico for at least 10 years. They are always friendly, trustworthy and professional. Finding an auto repair shop that does good work is not easy. Hilltop will not disappoint!

I would highly recommend Hilltop Auto. I have been there twice now for my BMW 328ix and I believe they are very fair. My car needed a water pump and also I had an accident where my windshield was smashed. Each time I go my car back earlier then expected. They are professional in every way. I trust Hilltop because they are honest people and dont try to sell you something that you dont need. I wouldnt go anywhere else. The BMW dealership has ripped me off more than once with their out of control prices. Also I read a review that said they discriminate that is outrageous and not true. Gary and Nikko are hard workers and very professional.

I was on a very tight budget and these guys went the extra mile to fix my Subaru Outback as cheap as possible. I think this was the first time in my life a repair was cheaper than the initial estimate. They were also timely despite clearly being super busy. If I could give 6 stars I would.

I walked into the service and they discriminated against me and my mentally disabled handicapped husband. They were very unprofessional, and I wouldntrecommend them anyone ever.Also the mechanics and everyone in that shop were not wearing masks due to coronavirus, which I thought was irresponsible careless, and downright discusting knowing the conditions of our world.

I went to hilltop automotive for a smog inspection. Their store was neat and clean. Gary and his crew were knowledgeable, friendly and quick. I highly recommend hilltop for all your automotive needs. I will definitely come back.

I highly recommend Hilltop Automotive. Gary the owner is very knowledgeable and straight forward with you. I had my 1967 Mustangs engine and transmission rebuilt. Gary kept me informed of the various steps the work would go through with sub contractors. All costs were explained and agreed upon before hand and were within reason. I have been very happy with the end results. I also want to put in a good word for Michelle, the receptionist, who always has a smile and a positive outlook.

Fine for little stuff; careful about major auto repairs! I spent thousands for problems only to be created, after verifying with the manufacturer and 2 independent dealers as to what the repairs they made were in fact needed and/or competed properly - unfortunately not. Very nice staff and generally a good place to do business.

Pretty amazed that I called, asking to bring my vehicle in while I was out of town so they could look at it and make recommendations, only to be told Not right now. Were going through changes call back next week Certainly very different from my past experiences here. Very disappointing

Hilltop did just what I needed, nothing more. I crunched my front passenger side pumper and headlight in a parking garage. I wanted it fixed inexpensively and they did not try to up-sell me to a perfect result. I take the vehicle off road and wanted it done for as little $$ as possible, and was good with a 90% fix. Thats what I got and I applaud them for being good listeners. I had their work on my last car and they did a great job on that too.

I cannot recommend this place enough.I was out from CT visiting CA and I started having what seemed like transmission issues. I looked up places on google and found this place.They were able to get me in right away and did a thorough analysis. Gary said it was misfiring and said he didnt think it was a transmission issue.Even though I thought it was unlikely the misfiring would cause the issues I was having, I went ahead and had it fixed.They fixed it within a day and it is as good as new. They also went even farther and told me some other small issues I would need to have fixed in the future. They are very trustworthy and charge a fair price.

WOW. This place exceeded my expectations with customer service! The minute I walked in I was immediately greeted and treated like family. I went in for a smog check and it was done in no time. I barely had time to sit down! I highly recommend this place!!

My wife and I were recently travelling through Palm Desert, pulling a 20 travel trailer. While staying at a campground we discovered a significant oil leak. Hilltop was recommended by AAA, so we had the truck towed there.The guys at Hilltop treated us well, offering us advice for our future travels and educating us on what to look for and expect while pulling a large trailer. All of that was on top of the reasonably priced fast and excellent service!

My husband and I bring both our cars here and we have been coming for years. I refer all my friends here and even strangers in need of a good mechanic. So many bad mechanics out there. Unfortunately due to the heat here in the desert and the age of both our cars, we have had to bring them in for service several times to replace parts. Gary has been great in helping us with fees and service. Even open today on Memorial Day! I really appreciate it as my car was inoperable and it was urgent to get fixed. We cant go without transportation in this heat. I have a grand baby to get to Urgent Care. Thanks to all Garys employees who came in to work on this holiday, (Niko who services our vehicle). It was done quickly as we waited.

I took my Mercedes Sprinter in for a brake job, and wasnt sure if the job was done right (a little spongy) so I took it back in. Hilltop re-did again for free, twice. They were still a little spongy so I went to a Sprinter specialist and they confirmed that Hilltop had done a great job, thats just the way Sprinters are. Excellent patience in Gary and willingness to re-do work to make the customer happy, even when it turns out it was done just fine in the first place. Great guys.

They do an inspection and show you any concerns as well as what you came in for. Absolutely no pressure on any findings... just to let you know there is something to be aware of.I will be returning when my other car needs service.

I just put it to you this way payed more than $1000 bucks to fix my 01 Ford Diesel Pickup some Work on motor and A/C then few month later A/C died I had to bring back to them to get A/C fixed and I had to pay more money on A/C due bad leaks and broken that what they said and they said we are very busy can’t work on my truck then I give them little more days and I tried call did repair my truck yet they said no not yet till on that day is Saturday afternoon I had to pick up my truck for my work week.Later Seem they forgot to do more work on my A/C repair red flag one about a month later after my brake start acting up. Red flag! I try to call and guess what they said we are too busy can’t work repair my truck.I’m not very happy about yours service what you did on my truck.I had to find other automotive repair company to do work on my truck.Your wrong for what you did to my truck! Been a customer for some time. always feel i am being treated fairly, that the work is up to manufacturer standards. people are. courteous, prompt, no promoting of extras. makes you feel that no one elses hands are in your pockets. Will keep on going back as long as Gary is there. they are flexible and honest in assessing the necessary repair requirements and often will search for functional used parts to reduce the cost of the repairs. since repairsare soewhat of a blind item for the customer, bottom line for me isi TRUST them
