Paradise Nursery is by far the best nursery in the Indianapolis area. They carry a wide variety of trees, shrubs, and perennials, including unique cultivars not found at other nurseries. John goes out of his way to help his customers, and is very helpful in determining what plant best suits the space. We visit Paradise Nursery several times throughout the year, and always find something new. A must visit for anyone looking to upgrade their landscape!

We finally did some renovation of our lack of landscaping in our back yard. We stopped by Paradise Landscape & Nursery to take a look at their plants and trees. They have such a large selection and all of their plants are absolutely beautiful. We told them what we wanted to do and they gave us some great suggestions. I got to pick out my own trees and they provided fast service and installation. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to redo or just spice up their landscaping. If you call Paradise, the automated response tells you that they welcome residential customers. Yeah, right. I tried calling them several times. The calls were never returned.. Id rate them a zero if I could. Be aware.

You have assisted me many times over the years and especially with thespicebush I was looking to add to my butterfly garden. Thisparticular purchase was made several (?) years ago, but I thought youmight like to see how it fits into the landscape. It has buds but notyet ready to bloom and is the plant in the green pot.Many thanks again for helping me do this and I look forward to beingout at your facility sometime soon!

Paradise landscape is a wonderful resource for plants, trees, bushes etc basically all of your landscape needs. John (owner) was super helpful to my wife and I. We went in with an idea and a few pics and John helped tremendously by filling in the blanks and educating us on what would make our landscaping look like a million bucks! The best part is the price tag was within our budget and he didn’t try to up sell us like other companies we visited. I highly recommend Paradise Lanscape & Nursery if you need to buy some plants or just need an expert opinion.

I worked with John, the manager, via text and email due to the stay home closures. He was very responsive and recommended several great options for me to choose to complete my project. After I provided measurements, he diagrammed the layout, emailed me planting guides, and answered all of my questions. Prices were very fair and he followed through on all timelines. Delivery was a breeze and he even staged the area for me due to the no-contact delivery promise. John was a pleasure to work with and provided incredible service with exceptional products. John and Paradise Nursery exceeded my expectations!

Was in need of mulch & shrubs so I checked out Paradise bc it was close to home. Pulled into the facility, there was no signage where to go and was not able to find anyone for direction of what I was looking for. Found the mulch towards the back and proceeded a few feet thru the open gate - thats when I was aggressively approached by a gentleman who began shouting at me bc I was not supposed to be there...I assume he was upset bc the back of the lot looked like a dump.Again, there was no signage stating where to go and where not to go.Yelling at a (former) customer is absolutely unacceptable.

We really appreciate the help and individual attention that John gave us to help us determine which plants to buy. He is so knowledgeable and really goes out of his way. He not only delivered to plants, but showed us how to plant each one with special care. He sent us instructions on how to maintain our spireas, boxwoods and weigelas. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic work and great attention to detail. Friendly service. The landscaping involved several trees and multiple plants utilizing their design. They worked late, in the dark and in the rain to make sure everything was perfect. Beautiful result and neighbors are inquiring as to who did the work. I will be doing more with Paradise!

We had the pleasure of working with John at Paradise Nursery on a large tree planting project for the Hindu Temple of Central Indiana. John discussed our needs and our budget for planting 36 trees. His proposal gave us the very best value for our budget in terms of size of trees and selection that suited our property. Since we had plenty of manpower, John dissuaded us from hiring him to do the planting and instead guided us in terms of the right equipment we could rent to do the digging and then they came out and demonstrated proper planting technique. The savings from planting ourselves (thousands!) allowed us to get more beautiful trees then we had imagined and we stayed in budget. Our project turned out to be a huge success! If you only care about price without considering size/quality then this is not the place for you. But if you value dealing with a locally owned family business and working with professionals then this IS truly Paradise!

Great plant nursery! I have relied on their superior plant material and expertise for well over a decade. John is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable...so if your nice he will probably let you pick his brain. Great group of people there! I highly recommend checking their place out.

Our experience with Paradise was phenomenal! The quality of work and attention to detail was fantastic with the large project at our new home. They were respectful of neighbors and our home. My husband and I were extremely impressed with the selection at Paradise Nursery, and very grateful for all the help we received from John. He made great suggestions to us and walked through the nursery educating us on the different trees and plants we were interested in. We had mulch delivered and ordered some bushes. The ordering process was easy, they went out of their way to help me find what I was looking for, gave me a better deal than what I was quoted at another nursery, and delivered the bushes along with the mulch, which was an added bonus. I was able to do everything online and over text messages, which was a big time saver. We had always used a different nursery in the past, but we will be ordering from Paradise Nursery from now on. Highly recommend!

I purchased this lilac Bush mid April of this year. It was doing well and I was watering it every day. Half of it started to die and then the whole thing died. I just went back to the company and they said that they would not replace it because they have a strict warranty policy where I had to buy all of the planting products from them for it to be valid which I was not told at the time of purchase. I was told must have done something wrong. I either over watered it or underwater it.They did not give me information on proper ways to care for the Bush at purchase. When I said that, I was told I just assumed that you knew and they cant tell everybody how to take care of their plants. $65 for a Bush and my business was got not good enough to make it right. I would suggest going to the landscaping place down the street that gives you a one year warranty. Thats what you expect out of a landscaping company that cares about their customers. Super disappointed.

We used Paradise Landscape for a patio landscape project a year ago. John was so patient and knowledgeable in helping with both the design and plant selection. Everything has grown in beautifully and all plants/trees are still healthy a year later. We also have used PLN for mulch delivery which was delivered on the exact day/time we agreed upon. The mulch was a much better quality than competitors we had used in the past and the color (black) has held up well with little to no fading in the summer sun.Very impressive company - you will not be disappointed!

We purchased 2 trees and 5 perennials from Paradise today. It took a little longer because they are really a wholesale nursery. If you are patient and leave a detailed message of what you are looking for John will return your call as soon as he can. Ive know John and have worked with his amazing dad for 6 or 7 years now. If you value the idea of value then Paradise and John is your last place youll ever visit. Knowledge and variety are strengths but the real value comes when you open up and listen to his experience, creativity and problem solving. For those new to dealing with a consultative nursery I can not recommend enough the importance to get John on your property. The approach I use to great effect is to purchase those items I know I want and work his great consultation skills in when he drops off and delivers. He always helps me discover new ways to beautify my property, lower my maintenance efforts and I end up saving a few bucks too. My only go to hands down. 5 stars.

We took out all of the landscaping from the front of our house and had no plan for what to do next. We made an appointment and met with John and he gave us some ideas and options. He continued to answer my many, many questions until we had a plan. John delivered our plants, confirmed the places we wanted to locate the plants would work, and made sure we knew the right way to plant and prune each plant before he left. We called a few nurseries as we were looking to plant a few trees. John at Paradise helped us out tremendously. He got us the species we wanted for one tree and made several ornamental tree species suggestions for the other. John, is the guy! Very friendly, informative, and very helpful. We were not sure what plant we needed, just knew what parameters we were needing a plant to fill. Been to two other nurseries today...left both empty handed....third time was the charm. Within 2 minutes of telling John the exact same information I had several other people today...he had us standing in front of our new limelight hydrangea. Took the time to walk us around a bit to show us other options...but the limelight was the perfect fit. Excellent service, I will definitely return for anything else I may need. Not just the normal flowers and items everybody has, and for reasonable prices to boot. Not more concerned with selling you a planter, or a shirt! Huge stone decor...not of the normal cookie cutter variety everybody else has. If I could give these guys 10 stars...I would. Our second visit, we showed up on a Sunday at 4:40pm, purchased two decorative trees that will become amazing focal points for our front yard. We drove from Northeast Anderson to get a new Japanese Maple, so many new items left with two (2) Maples. I would give this negative stars if I could! After reading all the wonderful reviews I decided to talk to them about some needs I have for my yard. I parked and tried to find someone to talk to but there was no one out and a vehicle was parked in front of the steps to the building... no way to get to the office that the posted sign tells all visitors to go to. A man came out of the building, not even bothering to come down the steps and approach me, and said Do you need help? In a tone that did NOT sound like he wanted anything to do with me. I said hello and he just repeated Do you need help? I told him I was interested in speaking to someone about some landscaping in my yard. His response... we dont do residential again in the same go away tone. I was appalled at the way he spoke to me. After reading the reviews, many of them about residential work, I was very much looking forward to speaking with them. If they do not do residential work, that needs to be removed from the website. They should also take the Public Welcome sign down as well. I was absolutely not welcome there! Everything about his demeanor said I was bothering him.Just read your response to my review, let me correct your pertinent details... you did not say currently we dont offer residential installation services as were overbooked, you said we dont do residential period, end of quote. Dont pretend you were going to explain, you were through talking to me and you know it. What sent me over the edge was the tone you used, your shortness and your complete lack of customer service, had you explained it to me the way you say, I would have had a different reaction. As for my husband threatening you with you better get back inside now!, lets clear that up. Yes I was upset, but I was leaving. You are the one that continued the encounter. You did not ask why are you yelling at me?, in fact, I had not raised my voice to you at all. You asked why are you mad at me? and I turned back around (remember, I WAS LEAVING) and said because youre rude and you continued to antagonize. That is when he stepped in and said go back inside and just forget this ever happened. You stated you had no wish for this to escalate but you, sir, are the one that escalated the encounter. As for us lingering in your parking lot, we were simply deciding where we were going for dinner so I knew which way to turn out of your parking lot.

The owner is highly educated on his product and the business in general.They not only carry top of the line quality in their plants, trees, and outdoor decor, they dedicate the time needed to care for it. It is evident that their heart and soul is poured into this business and you will not be disappointed to shop here to create your outdoor paradise by yourself or with your family. We hired Paradise to do a comprehensive landscape beautification to our home. They completely exceeded our expectations. Their choice of trees, bushes, flowers and ground cover were all very pleasing to the eye. They also re-seeded our lawn which was a complete mess after the drought. Now it looks great. They also installed an irrigation system which works wonderfully and should keep everything healthy in case we ever have another drought.I give them my highest recommendation.

We used Paradise Landscape to purchase 3 boxwood plants. We needed to stage our home before putting it on the market. My Husband called all the local nurseries to try to find one that had boxwood in stock offseason (February). We had no luck until we contacted Paradise Landscape and spoke with John. John was very friendly and even allowed us to set an appointment to see the plants even though the Nursery was technically closed for the winter season. John was very knowledgeable and even gave great advice as to what type of boxwood to purchase to make our entrance seem more grand, which it did! We cant wait until we move into our new home so we can purchase more plants from Paradise Nursery.

I have nothing but good say about the business and its owner, John.A great experience with a local business. We needed a variety of stone for a backyard project. John (owner/manager) went the extra mile to learn what we were looking for and then acquired pictures of a particular type of stone he didnt have on site, but thought we might be interested in.In the past, stone ordered from other places has been dumped at the curb. Paradise brought a lift and place the stone right were we needed it! We even have the option of returning unused stone for a full refund.John is very personable, knowledgeable, and willing to do what it takes for his customers to be satisfied. Well definitely be back.

Walked the nursery for fifteen no one came out and so I called and was told that they they were closing in fifteen minutes. I previously purchased three pine trees there that all died. Trees are overpriced and service is no better.

This nursery is good on so many levels. It makes it easily worth the 50 mile drive from Bloomington. Their selection of plants is vast offering homeowners like me ample ideas for sprucing up a place with the right plantings- shrubs, groundcover, trees. I’ve purchased from them now 3-4 times. Twice, I’ve been able to converse with John Choi, the owner, about what does well and where. He is a wealth of information and enthusiasm! Keeping plants alive in the ground is just part of it. Went there looking for trees. Employee came out and asked if i needed help. I stated that i was looking for some privacy trees and asked what he had. I told him that I had planted some 6 trees that I purchased at Lowes and was looking to get some more larger ones. He stated that this is a nursery and they cannot compete with Lows prices. I said im not asking you to compete just asking for your prices. He seemed uninterested and walked away from me when I though he was going to show me what was offered. Very poor customer service. I was prepared to buy around 15 trees and due to his attitude and lack of customer service I will go somewhere else.
