I’m honestly one for small local businesses. However when I went in today with my spouse, we did not get a greeting. Instead we were matched with a girl worker crowding my space and glaring like a hawk on prey as I was browsing. As someone who works around the city at another local business, this visit was a shame. The store has a great selection of fun things. Yet if inclusivity is privy to the items you carry, consider having that same energy for colored people when they peruse.
Thankfully, I had a list of what I wanted before I arrived because there were lots of unique items available! I bought more than what was on my list! Two of the clerks kindly located all the items on my list while I browsed the store = spent more money 😀. A clerk also suggested a wrapped gift basket instead of a gift bag----the basket was much prettier! The clerks were cheerful and made me feel welcome. I will shop at this store again!

Homespun is a local-focused retail shop and my favorite place to find gifts that are fun, quirky and truly one-of-a-kind.Everything from candles, T-shirts, jewelry, accessories, art and home décor — they have it and so much more. There’s also an entire section devote to items that celebrate the city and culture of Indianapolis. To accompany your gift, there’s a great selection of handmade greeting cards that will make you laugh out loud!Beyond gifts, I almost always leave with some small thing to treat myself, whether it’s some of the tasty candies, snacks and coffees or amazing soaps and beauty products.

This is an exceptional location to find beautiful locally made products. I am always so impressed by the items I find in this shop (being a crafter myself, sometimes I find handmade items a bit tacky, but not here! If youre looking for the perfect card, a unique Indiana tee, or a beautiful print, definitely stop in. This is a great place to pick up gifts, especially for a visitor to Indiana.

This is the best little shop in the city. Friendly staff, great prices, and one of the most diverse collections of artisan products Ive ever seen. From homemade soaps and candles to jewelry to clothing, to local coffees and teas, even house wares and art. There is something for everyone and the selection never gets stale. I can not say enough good things about this local gem😍

From jewelry to screen-printed bags, pottery, makeup, cards, and kids toys, it’s a great stop for gifts.In particular, their prints section is phenomenal; just about any aesthetic is represented.Overall, it’s worth a stop if you like local art, quirky cards and enamel buttons, or handmade accessories. Staff is helpful and sunny.

Homespun is my go-to shop for gifts! I think most everything is made locally. They have an interesting and unique jewelry collection, tons of super cute baby stuff, art prints, handmade soaps, creative ceramic bowls, vases, etc. and a ton of other neat gift ideas. Not to mention the cards. Im a huge card sender and theirs are hilarious to tear jerking. You wont find typical drug store cards either. They are all very intriguing and memorable.The staff is always willing to help you find what you need or just the right amount of chatty. Ive spent an extra 20 minutes in there before just talking with them. They will also gift wrap or box your gift which is extremely helpful if youre getting a last minute gift (and card :)). They do not accept returns but they will exchange for an item of same or greater value. The location is great too; theres always plenty of parking.I would highly recommend homespun for gifts or visitors looking for interesting shops. Shop local!

Absolutely love this store. Great place to find gifts for others and oneself. One of the places I like to take people who are visiting Indy - everyone always loves it & buys something. Ive heard Homespun described as a store that is like Etsy & I think thats an accurate description. Should be the first stop for anyone looking for Indiana or Indianapolis items, but that is far from the only thing they have. Ive bought t-shirts, jewelry, stickers, cards, and dryer balls there, amongst other things. Located on the Cultural Trail so be sure to stop in if youre riding by.
They are extremely busy and the space is small. The ice cream and desserts make up for any inconvenience you MIGHT experience. Customer service is exemplary!

This store has really great, unique, creative stuff. At first, it seems a little pricey, but if you keep in mind that the artists livelihood depends on sales of their work, and that it isnt just a mass-produced product, it makes a lot more sense. Take a look at all the cool framed Lego® creations!

Amanda and Neal, the owners, are salt of the earth people with good hearts. It is obvious that quality, hand-made goods and small business are their passions.When in Indy, check this store out, you definitely will be happy you did!

I have been meaning to stop in Homespun for months now. I finally made it in and it was beyond what I could have imagined. I love the huge variety of locally made items. I also love the welcome feeling from the time I entered until the time I left. Ill definitely be in again soon.

Its a bit pricey, but the goods you find here are both local and regional, quirky and functional, or purely decorative. I had no expectations going in, but I found an Indiana magnet colored like a rainbow with a unicorn in the middle, and was sold. Definitely an enjoyable browsing experience.
Amazing local shop full of all sorts of goodies. Further down on Mass Ave this is worth a stop. They even allow you to bring your fur baby (as long as theyre well behaved).They have collectables, local art, candles, and apparel. Great passionate staff too! Worth a trip for sure.

There is a lot of merchandise crammed into this little store which makes it pretty cramped at times. Nevertheless, I will keep going back for my gift-shopping needs! There are some amazing indie crafts in here with so many options!
