Bought a matching washer and dryer set 2 1/2 months ago. It was a very nice set I paid $600 for. Twice the washer flooded my laundry room. They ordered a part and 3 days later said it was on back order so he would just send me a “nice“ washer to replace it with so I wouldn’t have to go to the laundromat. I was Not home when it was dropped off or I would have told them to take it back and I would wait in the part. They made out like a bandit getting by far the better end of the deal. I wouldn’t give $50 for this washer they replaced it with. Its horrible. I doubt they could even have sold this it looks so bad. Not only does it not match it’s not the same color it’s as basic as basic can get it’s smaller than the one I bought and there are scratches and dents all over it down to the metal. I’m just beside myself with disappointment. It’s sad because I’ve bought from there for a long time. I will never buy from them again.

We had purchased an HE washer from this appliance store and I was not aware of how they work. When it would only fill the tub half full of water I was like WTH! So I Googled HE washers and found out thats normal. And it also started shaking off and on when the spin cycle went through. When we called in a work order on it I told them that I wanted to exchange it for a washer that I can put a full load in so they were nice enough to let us exchange it for a normal washer! And they didnt charge any delivery fees. Great service .🙂

I bought a refrigerator here years ago, which looks and runs great, even today. Never had an issue out of it. And I just bought a new washer/dryer set. Ive even used them to buy parts for stuff I needed to keep my old washer and dryer running. I just love this place, cant say enough good things about it. Im a single mom on a fixed income, I cant afford to buy anything brand new. If youre also on a budget, this is the place to go! They sell gently used appliances in good to like new conditions. They are all super nice, easy going normal people! No pressure to buy, but very knowledgeable about everything they sell. They have reasonable pricing and offer a 90 day warranty. That gives me such peace of mind. If you buy something off Facebook, craigslist, you name it, if it doesnt work, youre screwed out of a lot of money. So, thats always scared me from buying appliances that way. They also deliver and take away your old appliances, install them (to the point of changing water hoses, plug ends if they dont match what you have, and even replaced my dryer vent hose, because mine was slightly damaged), and helped me learn how to use the newer ones with all the buttons and gizmos. 😂 Ive shopped here in the past, present, and will continue to go there as long as theyre open. They also do house service calls, incase something breaks in the future, after the 90 days. Theres nothing at all to complain about with this company. Theyre great!!! Thank you!

I don’t give one star reviews. But this is by far the worst experience I’ve had buying an appliance. I’ve been extremely patient with John Greer the owner, but I simply can’t believe folks do business this way. I bought a used fridge over a year ago and paid top dollar for a good used fridge $1,284. I was told if the ice maker didn’t work he would fix it for free but he couldn’t test it in his shop. I called the day after it was delivered and told John the ice maker doesn’t work. For the next 11mo I must have called John 15 times to ask the status of the parts and I was told what I can only explain now as lies. Long story short I returned the fridge and was told I would receive a full refund. Three months later I have not collected one penny from John. I’ve been extremely patient and kind. But unfortunately I can only conclude that John Greer is a thief and has taken my money. I have 5 children and we do our best to make ends meet, needless to say this is a blow to our budget. Now I will drive an hour each way to file with the court to try and recoup some of this money. I hold nothing against John but I also don’t want anyone else being lied to and stolen from. Please don’t do business with Southport appliance.

If you live on the southside of Indy and youre looking for a washer/dryer for a fair price - go here. I bought my washer and dryer from them summer 2018. The install was included in the price I paid - very punctual. May 2020 I moved and sold my washer/dryer back to them. Think of the employees like fix-it dads. They know their stuff and will help you find what you need. This is one of those places where you need haggle about the price, which if you arent used to can be daunting. Keep this in mind when you go. Have a price point. Bring cash.

Hand down THE worst experience buying a used appliance, PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. Paid $150 for a dryer, paid up front. Picked it up 2 days later, dryer did not work. I don’t own a truck so I had to borrow one to take it back to fix it the same week I got it. The guy said he would fix it and I told him I needed to be delivered because I didn’t have a truck. A whole week later I had to call because he “didn’t have a truck to deliver”, I called multiple times until I told him I wanted my money back, then he said he was bringing it that day. The dryer still doesn’t work. I’m just going to take this loss and buy a dryer elsewhere. I haven’t had dryer for a month and we bought it the first week mine broke. Heads up to everyone

If it were possible to leave 0 stars or better yet negative stars I would have gladly left that instead .This owner is by far the most careless and irresponsible SOB to ever sell appliances .I could provide a list of issues my mother has had with this guy, I won’t . Instead what I will say say is simple, take your business elsewhere, if possible this slimeball will screw you over . Make no mistake about it, this guy has no issues with taking advantage of a 81 year old woman ( my mother ) and he will have no issue taking advantage of you .

The most disrespectful customer service I have ever dealt with. The dishwasher we were supposed to receive a month ago has yet to be installed. We have had several times scheduled to have this installed and they no called no showed every time. When I call, the guy tries to blame me for being hard to get a hold of when Ive only missed one call from them, which i called back. Then one of the days they had scheduled and no call no showed, i called and they said they didnt even have the dishwasher yet it was on back order.... which i understand being on back order but how can you schedule a time to install it when you dont even have it...... and then dont even inform your customer of that. I didnt hear from them for two weeks. Called them asking what was going on. They finally got a dishwasher out to us, which they picked up from Lowes. When they took it out of the box it look like it had been hit by a fork truck. The installers called their boss and he tried to tell them to install it anyways. WHAT!? Luckily my boyfriend was there to tell them to take it back. When I called to schedule a time for the next day, the guy told me hed call me back. Never did. So i left a message on their answering machine at 7:15pm (checked my call log). He calls me the next day saying you cant leave a message at 10pm and expect us to answer (just a flat out lie). Literally the biggest POS i have ever spoken to. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere like the rest of these reviews say.

Decent used appliances, decent prices. They are willing to haggle on prices, and they helped us get rid of some junk appliances, so we didnt have to take care of it ourselves. We did have an issue with our new (used) fridge not quite fitting under the cabinet. We had measured, and they assured us it would fit, but I wish that they would have actually measured it while we were there. It is about a quarter of an inch too tall.

I have bought from here before, thought I buy used set, well been two weeks today I called my washer stop spinning was told 3 times be here to fix. Would never buy hear again.

Bought a stackable, and had a few problems when I got it to my place. Called because they have a “3 month warranty” it’s all just a bunch of bull. Called multiple times and every time the owner himself said “the parts are on order” here I am 7 months later and he never fixed it. Just a bunch of crooks. Don’t waste your money!!!!

Helped us a great deal with getting a part for our broken dryer. Place may not be clean, but he seems to be a mechanic that knows his stuff. Will be back in the future

I believe this is owned by a businessman who sells decent to great quality gently to very used equipment at a good price. I have bought a washer in the past and now a dryer. Products came with 90 day warranty, which we did have to use 1 time during that time frame and otherwise the used washer we paid $250 for has been doing well still 2 yrs later. One of the only issues is that some of the sticker prices are high initially and also the stoves could be cleaned up more to look more acceptable for new buyers, other than that I am a repeat customer and recommend this business.

Ive bought a washer and a dryer on separate occasions and was very happy. They say if theres a problem they will come out for $40 plus parts (with receipt) but that has not been the case. They scheduled a time to come to the house 2 days in a row. They no called no showed both days. I wished I would have seen other reviews complaining of the same problem.😕

Bought a stackable w/d for $750. Sensor in dryer was to be replaced as it did not dry on more than one cycle. On delivery day, after all hooked up, delivery men told me Oh, we are to tell you you can only dry on the 60 minute cycle. The sensor wasnt replaced. I have tried for 3 days to get a call back to see if I am getting refunded partial payment since my dryer only works on the 60 minute cycle. If I dont get a response in a couple of days, since I have been sitting on hold once again to talk to the manager, I will let the Atty Generals Office handle it. ADDENDUM: John the owner finally got on the phone and told me the sensor is on order and when it comes in, they will call me to put it on. I will trust their word. We will see.

I bought a stackable washer/dryer last summer. Had a couple problems with it but the maintenance man came right out and fixed it both times and I havent had any problem with the washer and dryer since.

We needed a part for our dryer, we werent sure what exactly was wrong. They told is how to trouble shoot and had the part we needed. They were ao friendly and helpful. I recommend them to anyone
