I like looking at their vast selection. Although I go there instead of going to breweries, the access to many breweries is better in some ways as it can be used to visit one place instead of several. As the selection of many types of alcohol is very good, I have a problem getting out the front door as I keep finding good stuff to buy.

I’ve always loved coming to Hilltop, the guys who run this place are funny and friendly. We’ve been neighbors of the store for a long time. Since the pandemic started, the guys working behind the register don’t wear masks and they let anyone come in without one. I was checking out and some guy got right in my face without a mask. I definitely won’t be coming back here during the pandemic, and possibly not after because of how little they clearly care about their neighbors.

He should do a comedy act at an improv.The owners are honest and ethical people. They always have been. I trust them and their employees.In 1 case a person has started a vicious roomer, and has convinced others to follow like lemmings. It is sad they dont have minds of their own.Hilltop is nice small liquor store with some very good values. Go see for yourself.

The guy behind the counter is a complete A-hole! I was there 7/5/14 and had asked for a restroom, I was even prepared to purchase something. When I asked if he had a restroom I could take my kids in, his response was you can use the rest room if you buy the entire building, the managers office, and all the merchandise in the store.I had my kids with me so I didnt say anything to him, but this guy was a complete jerk. A simple no would have sufficed and I wouldve totally understood. Instead he had major attitude. I shouldve let my kids use entryway mat into the store as the restroom!

I came in looking for kool-aid. After the employee walked with me around the store patiently (3 min before close) and not finding a single packet, he genuinely apologized for not having it in stock an I went to go on my way. About to drive off he came running out flagging me down for he had found a small bundle.The guys working hear are a great example of a local one stop shop because they will go above and beyond even if your only spending $1.

Hilltop Liquor & Wine Cellar in Huntington Beach has some amazing #craftbeer. For example, they still have Firestone Walker Parabola and the Sierra Nevada / Russian River collaboration Brux on the shelf. They also keep lots of goodies in the back like Russian River Row 2 Hill 56, Kern River Brewing Just Outstanding IPA, and a bunch of others. Just ask the guys at the counter. They are craft beer fans just like the rest of us. Happy Beer hunting, cheers!
