Best hardware store in town! Among the staff I have always found considerable wisdom and useful insights as well as inventory selection which will not be found at any of the big box stores. The cashiers always have a lovely disposition which means that Ive never left without a smile.

I really like this hardware/lumber store on the Hempstead Hwy @ W. 34th St. They have been in business for 70 years!They have the largest selection of Case pocket knives I have ever seen (see photos).You can find any size and grade of screws,nuts, bolts and washers. They have two fully stocked nail bin carousels. Most common nails are $2.00 a pound.There is a huge selection of hand tools. You can find just about any item for all of the building trades. They also sell lumber.The store is well staffed with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful associates.

Really good alternative to the big box hardware stores. They will have more things here that you will not find at home depot/Lowes. Prices are fair. This place is a little tight due to their location, but the staff is really helpful.

Does not honor previous acknowledgement by store manager to cut glass too worried about hurting their cutter would not suggest ever going to Turners Hardware again I know Im not...**Note** Looks like pretty standard glass to me.Not sure what you mean by double strength..If youd like me to bring it in so you can see yourself and explain to me what the difference is.. I would be more than happy to bring it to you..

Turner is an old school hardware store where the employees know where things are and how they work. They have been great in supporting us as a new neighboring business.

This a REAL hardware store! They have all of the stuff that the big box stores leave out, and they *know their products*. And when *they* make a copy of a key, it works *exactly* like the original. You will almost never come away empty-handed, and if that happens, youll probably come away knowing where to find what you need.

1st time I went I bought a bench made. They were very knowledgeable in knives. 2nd and 3rd time went for a couple of screws and bolts to replace things at the house. Again very helpful and knowledgeable in getting what you need. Stop by if you need any help.

I grew up in the area and they were always super helpful. I moved away and hadnt been in a while and when I came back to ask about a part the person was incredibly rude. I was very nice but he kept acting irritated that I didnt know the answers to his questions. When I went to pay the older lady at the register stared me down and rolled her eyes and didnt say a word. As I was leaving I noticed many workers leaving the store. I didnt realize it at the time but it was closing time so they were clearly trying to get me out. I was very polite and wasnt aware of the closing. But still, Id have a hard time recommending this place if this is the new attitude.

I gave this establishment 5 stars not bc of the the customer service -only one employee asked if I found what i was looking for and when I looked up to respond they were already walking away, I tried dressing American as possible- but I gave this store 5 stars for the store itself and having EVERY SINGLE ITEM I needed.. Home Depot WalMart even Ace Hardware didnt have the equipment i needed and they had it ALL... I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK & next time my attire will SCREAM QUEEEN...

This hardware store is so much better than the big box stores. They have a nice parking lot, nice and friendly staff and they did a very good job re-screening my windows all the way back from the 1960s! Do yourself a favor and come here before a big box store!

Now this is a hardware store! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices might be a little higher than big box store? But makes up for it if you have questions about the project you are doing. Unlike the store where you go in and never seem to find anyone working except at registers. I would totally recommend this place to anyone.

Oh I love coming here. Its tight, cozy and clustered, bordering on cluttered, but theyll help the hell out of you if you need some parts and when they dont have it, theyre nice enough to point you in the right direction every time. Great staff great variety good prices.

If you are doing a project that requires that one thing you cant find anywhere on the web or the local Ace, go to Turner Hardware. If they dont have they will either get it or inform you where you can get it. Great people, tools and stuff. They also have Cold Steel and great knives.

I agree with another poster concerning the floor help. Knowledgeable and eager to help theyre a pleasure doing business with. The girls on the registers the other poster described to a tee....Surly. Prices are higher than the big box stores but you have help finding stuff. AND they have it. No hunting for floor help thats hard to find and as lost as you are.

As an AVID DIYer, having happy, helpful and knowledgeable staff at a hardware and building supply store is worth the extra 15-20 minute drive PAST a much closer Big Orange Box Abyss.

Ive been collecting knives now for about a year and a half, and here recently Ive started trying my hand at making them. Well I went to Turner hardware for very small machine screws and other stuff like that the home Depot doesnt carry. So I get there and not only is the staff beyond helpful I see one of the finest collections of higher end knives for sale. Well I got my machine screws but now I have to explain to my wife where the three new very high end knives came from.

They have good customer service and their staff is knowledgeable. Youll be greeted and get personalized service; however, the prices are significantly higher than what youd pay at a HomeDepot or Lowes.

All the employees in different departments were so helpful. I just wish they had a store in the Greenspoint area.

Turners is an old time hardware store that has pretty much everything in stock that can no longer be found in a hardware store, service is number one, if someone doesnt offer to help you almost immediately, you better pinch yourself to see if youve become a ghost.
