I had some work done on my car and AAMCO did a wonderful job!!! My car runs so smoothly. I hope that I dont need any repair work done soon but if so Ill be using them again.

Currently still without my car it’s 8/6/21 drive my car to Aamco because my AC wasn’t blowing cold or cool air. I knew the problem was the air compressor and even spoke to the guy about it. A few days later was called and said I needed a new radiator, thermostat housing and something else. I asked will that fix my problem? They said yes. So I allowed them to work on my car. One whole week later they call me and say well u need an air compressor and that will be an extra $1000. So mind you now this has turned into a $2500 job. Their response was well you have $3000 in credit with west creek. This made me believe that they were forcing me to use all my credit and just finding stuff to add on. When I called the shop yesterday to inquire about my car they hung up on me. Now I’m deathly afraid that they have done something to my car and nobody is available to talk. I 100 percent do not recommend the Aamco on Uvalde in Houston.

It was lewis I believe, he went above and beyond helping me. He knew what he was talking about. Definitely got to throne on Uvalde if you have transmission problems.

I am happy with the service they got my a/c working to best level and found area that needed to be repaired. Now I have cold air and no longer hot air thank God.

I took my 2014 Ford Focus Titanium to Aamco on July 6th for service at the recommendation of my mother who has gone to Aamco a number of times. I started hearing a rubbing sound underneath my car and drove it there hoping that it would get fixed pretty soon or at least a week and some change. I didnt realize that I would be without my vehicle for almost a month. The 2014 Ford Focus, as with all Focus/Fiesta models between 2011-2016 has a history of having issues with its transmission, though my car hadnt had an issue at the time of purchase in February 2021. As of today, July 28th, I have yet to have my car repaired, but have already started paying back the finance companies that financed my repairs. Not to mention, my job requires me to drive my vehicle, so Ive been losing money this entire month. Essentially, what was a $3800+ tab has become a $6000 tab with the loss of income. Im at the point where I cant say that I have the fullest confidence that Aamco have worked with Fords Dual Clutch Transmission and that my car will be repaired before two months have passed. Admittedly, my level of frustrations have increased and my patience has worn thin. I cant take it to a Ford dealership where they most likely have experience working on the problematic Ford Focus dual clutch transmission because I have already paid Aamco for repairs, and that will leave me paying the $3800+ cost to Aamco and whatever cost I will have to pay Ford, on top of my car note. Just for future reference...if you have a 2011-2016 Ford Focus/ Fiesta thats having issues with the dual clutch transmission, I would highly recommend that you take it over to a Ford dealership or company that has worked with this type of transmission before and have a loaner car. NOT AAMCO.

My AC is running better than it did before

I was quoted a total of $487.92 to replace a high pressure sensor/switch on a 2012 Audi A6. You can see pictures below of this review. Fortunately I didnt get this guy to do any of the work on my car. I encourage anyone that reads this to not waste your money. They are out to scam innocent people.Parts:High pressure sensor/switch...................$178.98Labor:Replace (B) (whatever that is...................$199.00refrigerant (vaccum and recharge)..........$99.50Total w/tax:................................................$487.92THE LIES:1.) I was told labor was going to be that much because he would have to remove the power steering pump to get to the sensor which was not true. See the picture of where the sensor sits.2.) As you see from the quote the system supposedly would need to be recharged and I watched the honest mechanic change it and it released almost no Freon...literally almost NONE! So it did not need to be recharged.3.) The price of the sensor itself was $178.98. He had a huge markup on this. The dealer charges $98.50 for the parts. If you dont believe me you can check with the dealer if you care to see if this is an honest review.  (4H0-959-126B). He even lied and said it needed to be calibrated and a bunch of other BS. Anyway I was able to find the exact replacement part online for under $55 thanks to ECS tuning.

Dont go here customer service is horrible. They lie & try to rob you with these prices. They stated one price & said our truck would be ready in 3 days called on third day & the price doubled & they had not started repair. Beware you dont want to go there. I wish I could give a negative.

Had some work done on my handicap accessible van after having a horrible experience at another shop. They were able to diagnose it on Good Friday and I was driving it home that following Tuesday. Lied to my face

Just recently got a used car, and needed service to be done. I first took it to NTB on East Freeway, and customer service was horrible. They lacked interpersonal skills and were not willing to adequately explain to me the process. With my better judgement I took my car to AAMCO on Uvalde. Lou and his team were very helpful, and restored my car. They were patient and very concise in their explanations to get the car repaired. In addition, Lou had my best interest at heart. He kept me updated, and offered me great advice. Overall, my car came out in great condition with my grandfathers approval of course.Therefore, if you are looking for a local mechanic, go see Lou. He will definitely fix your car.

Came here to get new starter and fly wheel only. transmission was shifting fine. the next day l get a call they said I need a rebuild on transmission $2400 I said no it works great he seem to have a attitude and then said he needed $185 more than original quote for install of starter.They do the work. they said it would be done 12pm the mechanic broke something between the motor and firewall when he started the motor coolant went everywhere he said he could fix it he got some hoses and a 3 way plastic piece about 2:30pm i get my truck back and its shifting really rough and the heater dont work anymore so I call tell them he said well you need to come get a rebuild on transmission and we could not have had nothing to do with the heater. it worked before. I check all the fluids in truck transmission way over filled (check when running) Then noticed only one cable on throttle body started looking around and found the other cable coming up between motor and firewall around side fender tucked in nicely behind battery.I installed cable back in place its shifting great again 1st gear a little rough sometime now i call them to let them know they said I was lying about it. Then the starter went out. My exhaust runs 1.5inches away from starter they did not reinstall the heat shield that came on the truck so the starter over heated. I call them they said they take off heat shields all the time and I can forget about my heat shield and hung up the phone I thought maybe we got disconnected I call back then thay play phone games so unprofessional.New heat shield from dealership $83They left a bracket off the transmission lines going to the radiator and the lines was laying on the exhaust pipes defeating the purpose of cooling it down. trying to over heat my transmission too??

Call on Monday about my clutch going out. Jim said bring it on up and we will take a look. He said I should have it back on Wednesday and guess what? I had my car back on Wednesday at noon as promised. Running perfect might I add. These guys are awesome. Thanks again!

I have been to a couple of places to work on my car and have been over priced and treated like a number, even fixed things to be charged without knowledge or consent, and it still not ended up fixed. All the concerns I’ve ever had with AAMCO has been treated with care and concern. All prices even after research have been fair and reasonable. No work is done without a phone call and even offered to show me the work needed or done before and after my say so. There has absolutely been NO surprise prices. Twice they have offered and taken me home to drop my car off while my husband was at work and didn’t have to. My husband and I are struggling with bills at the moment so I’m relieved with stress when I was dreading customer service, non-affordable prices, and low quality work, thank you to the people at AAMCO!

We were on our way to Florida from Vista, Ca towing our 32 travel trailer when we suffered catastrophic transmission failure while driving through Houston.We were towed to the Aamco store at 1002 Uvalde Rd run by Jim who immediately showed us concern and much empathy. he allowed us to stay in our trailer on his property while we awaited the arrival of a replacement transmission from Atlanta.The new trans was installed by his caring and very competent mechanics who double checked everything as they worked.Im a retired auto mechanic who is concerned that work be performed to high standards. I wasnt disappointed as it met all my expectations and more.The rest of the 1000 plus miles to Florida proved uneventful and restful as we felt reassured by the fine 3 year 50,000 mile warranty we left with.I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Jim and his fine staff to anyone. Brought my truck for a transmission problem, they quoted me what I thought was too much. So I pick up my truck and took it to a few other places, some said the same as Aamco and others quoted even more. Took it to the dealer and they would only sell me a new transmission. I guess the bottom line is, after wasting 4 days and a few $100, I went back to Aamco and had the guy I trusted in the first place fix my truck. Ive been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Not quality work They dont put all parts back on your vehicle and tell you everything is good when its not at least they can do is hey man i got your truck running but i have this whole box of parts l just dont know where they go and give me back my parts. when you call about it your already out the door and payed they will play phone games will not take responsibility and you can not talk with owner. if you dont care about your vehicle take it here

Took my car there for ac check and they wanted to charge me 800$ to fix it . the next day i took my car home to re check the ac. I fliked on the switches and it started to work again . be care ful on trusting these ppl they didnt even kno what was wrong with my ac till i messed with the switches. Re check ur car before taking it there . they might steal ur money

Took my girlfriends car there for a leak and when she got it back, the transmission started to not switch gears after. I called to see what happen and they said theres nothing they can do but bring it in and theyll check it out and let me know how much its gonna cost. Bad customer service and also very rude, no place for a female to go alone
