Ordered a motor week ago running good since no issue BUT they will give you the run around for the core as far as picking it up . Been a week since my motor was swapped and they have not yet picked up the core(motor) . Other then that I would definitely recommend

By far one of the most organized junkyards I have been to. I called for a door to an E350 and upon arrival they honored the price given to me by another agent. I was taken to the back and allowed to choose the door to my liking. A good first experience and will be back for future parts as well.

Careful buying parts from here. Their 90day warranty is for replacement only. They will not refund your money. Also they charge me 3x what the cost of a new part is and I still need to replace it. Highly recommend going to eBay if you can wait a day or two for shipping. Never going here again. Waste of money. Buyer beware.

A salesman said to me, look around and see if you can find one, brother I let him know that i have two others in sight, then he quotes a price that is double the cost of both I have in sight. Then he tells me I am wasting his time because hi phone is ringing, and I look at my timer, 1:38 one minute, thirty eight seconds. I have spent well over a Thousand$$$ at this place over the years and now I think this salesman feels privileged. We will see! But he gave me a false name, when I called back no one hear by that name! Next time he will learn!

All I wanted was to know if I had purchased a warranty or if they offered it because the part I purchased from them failed just short two months of buying, they were so rude over the phone treating me like I am supposed to know everything as if I work there, the last comment I got from them was “Well there you go then” and this was my first time buying from them now I know after getting this part replaced to never shop with them again. Customer Service and Customer Retention is everything, They do not value that or treat their customers with any respect .

Ok, first off, I got quoted 4,000 at a body part repair shop for just a part I was looking for, and that was without labor included. I searched on google and found lonestar imports, called, and got quoted for the same part for $300!!! I went and picked up the part and delivered it to the body repair shop. THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE. I will forever come to them. their costumer service was phenomenal and they are extreamly hospitable. THANK YOU lonestar imports for saving me $3700!!!!!

I spent precisely 16 minutes on hold to then be told in less than 30 seconds that I should call another place may or may not have the parts I am looking for. Then spent ten minutes on the phone being constantly redirected by the auto switch board. 1/5 does not live up to their hold line slogan of If we dont have the parts you are looking for then we will find them for you in the local auto parts community.

Drove 3 hours round trip on the word of one of the salespeople that they had good condition black seats for my car and he had photos, but just didnt get the chance to send them. I showed up and no such seats existed.

Very knowledgeable and dont mind explaining about parts and other options.. large variety of used parts with 90 day warranty IF part is defective.. only downside was I was quoted a price over phone but was given a lower price at front but was told have to go with price first quoted.. But still look forward to doing more business with them

So these guys low key stole my normal mechanic’s business 😂 in perticular the guy at the front desk name MICHAEL did. Jose was very helpful as well when I arrived customer service at this place was superb but Michael was the one taking care of me. But anyway I have a 2013 e550 coupe That had a headlight out. Everywhere I went everyone said I needed a new headlight assembly. A mechanic told me to call lone star import for a headlight assembly (which was going to be very pricey) and he would replace it for me. So I call lone star import and ask for the part and not only was Michaels customer service on point but he immediately saved me money saying that the odds of me having to replace the whole thing was slim. Not only was the quote he offered me very reasonable but he also had an even better price for me if I took the headlight off myself and brought it to them. I went ahead and paid them to take it off which was still a great price but these guys had me out of there in about an hour. I immediately called two of my friends who have foreign cars and told them of this AMAZING place. These guys are smart, organized and have the best customer service you will ever receive from a mechanic. I’ve seen some mixed reviews on here about these guys and it’s hard to believe their talking about the same place I went to. You guys were the best !

After searching for a strut for my 2013 Jaguar XF everywhere, i came cross Lonestar Imports. Called and spoke to Jerry, he was very helpful, his overall customer service was a A+. my sister picked up my part for me today and spoke how courteous Mr. Jerry was and how nice and neat everything was set up. she was in and out in no time. Lonestar you get 5 Stars because you care about your customers.

I’m generally not one to go out of my way to write reviews, but Lone Star Imports did a hell of a job helping me get what I need all the way to Virginia from Texas. Jose was very helpful, patient, and descriptive over the phone. My part was packaged in what looked to be a custom built wooden crate, had no damage, and arrived on time. I would highly recommend doing business with this place.

Ive visited Lonestar Imports a couple of times now to look for parts for my BMW. The guys here are really helpful and they do their job well. Theyre pretty flexible when it comes to prices and the parts here are usually in very good condition. I got my BMW Style 32 wheels here for a steal. Id definitely check this place out if youre looking for parts.

Michael was my contact via live chat on car-part.com, a website that links u to many businesses for used auto parts. On my inquriy michael confirmed all information I needed on the part...there was a bit of delay with the part shipping which is why 4 stars, but still received within an acceptable time frame, purchase 8/11 received 8/14. Michael always took all my calls for my inquiries with the last few calls about tracking info which was provided the day the part arrived 🙄Dealership installed part (ecm/ ecu) and my vehicle is now running and ready to pickup. Part is good! I would recommend this business to others.

I have been recommending this place for years to my customers and friends. This was my go-to place for years to get bmw parts but after the experience I had recently, I will not recommended anyone to this place. I drove 1 hour to get parts from this place and because i didnt want a fog light that they pulled which look to be from the dumpster. Instead of pulling a good decent looking fog light I was told by Ray he didnt want to business with me. Its okay buddy. All those people i sent your way to buy parts and this is how you treat me. No problem. 👍

I needed a replacement fender for my 1995 Mercedes E300D. Its a relatively hard part to find, and these guys had one. Larry (really helpful at the front desk/phone) sent me a picture so that I could see the fender before driving from Austin to Houston (about 3 hours).The part was exactly like the picture showed (very good condition) and they held it for me until the next morning. This yard is super clean, professional and has a lot of parts for specialty imports. It is very easy to find (right off 610 East, near Hardy Toll Road). Seems very well run.I highly recommend Lone Star.

Aamir treats customers terribly. He keeps giving an attitude if you ask him more than 1 question. If you are working at the front desk, you at least need to act as polite as customer is acting. I felt like I was the one who is trying to make him satisfied.

Went to purchase (jag) motor there after speaking w/Jose quoted price ($8000) I came and after reading good and bad reviews giving them the benefit of the doubt, showed me motor then I came back not seeing Jose I talk to Ray (owner) askin him few questions like miles on eng and he explain he could supply carfax after waitin he said there was not one so I ask to see car motor came from he got upset saying I was a problem now generally the price is generated by mileage and I wanted to verify before giving him 8gs I guess I was suppose take his word and eng had no History on it he said was a Canadian veh.ive been in business 15yrs never have I talk to customers like that I have to say the reviews were right but glad he popped off bc this couldve been a sign of major disaster waitin to happen so youve been warned.

Amir, Jerry, Jose and RAY are awesome!!! I saw the ridiculous reviews and I felt I should write this review. They go out of their way to help people. Remember, they are not a charity. They are a business and have to generate profits to stay in open. They have great warranties. Parts are cleaned prior to delivery. Ive been going to this place for over 20 years and 2 weeks ago the owner pissed me off with his snobbish attitude . Lone Star has always had high prices for used parts Example I needed a single shock screw for my BMW. At the dealership it cost $1.92 with a two day wait the owner of Lone Star charger me $25 then decided to reduce the price to $20 after I told him I had to pull the part myself I recommend trying eBay first better prices cleaner parts. And when I said I pull the part myself I meant I went out to the back and found the screw on the ground next to the car.

I have been using Lone Star for nearly 5 years, a lot of people seem to have mixed reviews about this business but hey each to his own. I collect older Mercedes cars, along with owning newer Euro cars this place is my one stop shop! I wouldnt know what to do if this place wasnt local! Imagine looking for something as simple as a door trim for a 107 Chassis, look on eBay for a couple days, find the right one, message back and forth with the seller to get the price down and AFTER all that wait a week to get it shipped?! Or one simple phone call, show up, choose from MANY, find the one you like pay and go home and install it?! I like that option better if you ask me.A lot of people dont really post about how the process is so I will, you can call ahead and they can check the inventory they have on the computer, but best bet is to show up as they are CONSTANTLY getting new shipments of cars in that might not be in the system. They will take you outside per request and show you exactly where the part is coming from if you really want.If you do decide to go make sure you have a little time, as you know some of the parts are still in the vehicle, just mind that usually you will be in and out but for the bigger stuff just plan your day accordingly.The staff is VERY knowledgable. People who down talk on the staff are probably upset that they learned something new and dont take criticism well.All in all great service/selection and you guys will have my business for years to come!

Called and asked for simple parts . A cir clip for a bmw X5 rear airbags. 10 parts at best have to buy whole air bag at 150 to have clips. I two brand new bags for 130. So this place sucks in my opinion . Not theyre to help you out.

These guys truly know their stuff and helped me in the most professional manner possible. Very attentive to detail, Jordan helped me find the exact parts in the condition and terms I needed. High end german cars disassembled in a huge facility equipped with maybe a dozen lifts, forklifts, various warehouses and a huge yard with lined up cars for easy access.Outstanding service from walk in to walk out! All their parts are sorted, labeled, inventoried and trackable within the computerized system. A salvage yard like this you can only see in Germany!

I bought and had shipped a $600 transmission. The main shaft was frozen. I delayed the opening of the box a few months while looking for a mechanic to swap it out and when discovering the part defective, called immediately. They did nothing for me. I am in Utah. Very disappointing.

This place has all your import needs... I mean everything from Japanese to German makes. The yard is humongous along with being very organized which I liked very much. Any who, Ive been looking for a complete M3 pullout to replace the bad drive train in my BMW. Well sure enough they had just what I was looking for and even at a really fair price that was too hard to refuse. Also, it came with a warranty! My salesman took very good care of me while I was waiting in there very comfortable lobby. I will definitely be doing more business with this company for my future automotive needs.

I have purchased body and other parts from salvage yards off and on for about 20 years and have never experienced such arrogant management.Women that like to work on your own cars, dont bother going here unless you want to be told that it is not your job to work on cars.If you purchase something, it is what it is. Even if their staff messes it up pulling the part for you. It is a very organized yard and they have a huge selection but service wise, it is not worth it. Ill be sticking with the yards I usually do business with.

An engine that I was thinking about buying was sold before I had the chance to purchase it. When I explained that I had been trying to get by Lone Star Imports to purchase the engine but now its gone they offered to find me another. In two days they called to tell me a car had been purchased to match mine and in three working days I was able to go there and hear it run before it was pulled. The engine was pulled the same day and ready for pick-up or they offered to deliver. I was also told that they could install the engine for me and shown several customer cars being worked on. I was given a tour of the mechanic shop and the very large and well maintained yard. They are much more than a salvage yard and I will use them again.

Ive been coming here for 6 years now for parts for all of my BMWs. No one in Houston has the kind of selection Lonestar Imports has. They seem to always have new and interesting cars every time Im there that you just cant find elsewhere. I always leave with more than I intended on getting that day!The main office is so much better then any other yards around town as well, free refreshments, comfortable seating, big screen TV, WIFI, and in the summer.. air conditioning!

Some ppl have no idea what of getting into an European Import vehicle means, HIGH maintenance HIGH price, You want to Ride like a Church Pastor spend like one if You want to have Your car running without hic ups doesnt matter if You get the parts from the Stealership or a Salvage Yard, parts on these cars will always be expensive, if You cant maintain it sell it, plain and simple, Ive tried these guys before with no problems.

Unbelievable experience. Im an experienced BMW enthusiast and like to work on faily complex projects. Engine swaps, transmission swaps, whole car drivetrain swaps, things like that. I always deal with Jordan at LoneStar even though they are multiple states away because his attention to detail and in particular his depth of knowledge on BMW is amazing. Youre not just buying parts here, youre buying experience and expertise and honest advice. Ive spent thousands here and LoneStar is my go-to for high quality salvage yard parts for all four of my BMWs.

Nicest salvage yard ive ever seen

This company, in my opinion, is criminal. They have literally cornered the market on euro- imports in houston. They then sell used parts at 60-80% of the new price. Keep in mind that a typical yard sells for 30-50% of the new price and the u-pull it 10-30%. Also they have a 25 dollar minimum. .. so a 10 dollar new price piece will be 25 bucks used here. The front counter people are arrogant and condescending. And since they have a good number of the Euro salvage cars in the area ( surely the companies market plan), they mark the prices way up and will not budge for something like poor condition of the part....I shop there only when the part is an emergency and relatively cheap when new. Other than that I go with the internet and better pricing. Try car-part dot com for good selection and much lower prices. Ironically the guys that actually do the real work are the nicest and most helpful guys around, but afterwards you have to go back up front...I question some of the 5 Star reviews when I see them treat everyone the same bad way. I am an avid DIYer with 25 years owning MB and Volvo...and plenty of enjoyable repair and maintenance experience. .this place is a well planned money heist that tries to get every salvage Euro car in the area .... to control prices..

I have learned not to deal with them again!! I called to purchase a pair of seat tracks for a mercedez. I told him the car had water damage and i needed both front seat tracks with everything. He told me they do not part the seats out and i would have to buy the complete seats. Over $600 i went ahead and purchased the seats because i needed them. I told him he could get me a ripped pair of seats just as long as everything below the cushion was there. The seats arrived a few days later. It took us another day or two to pull the seats out to take the tracks off. Thats when we noticed the modules missing. The modules are located in the seat track. I immediatly called my sales person to tell him i had parts missing. He responded that the modules are sold separately. I informed him i purchased a complete seat, and if he sells parts off the seat track why did he make me purchase a complete seat. He said the only way i can have the modules is if i pay for them at $70 each!!! and that was that! BUT I PURCHASED A COMPLETE SEAT!!!! THE MODULE IS LOCATED IN THE SEAT!!! So i went somewhere else to purchase the modules feeling like i was getting scammed. Called my bank and asked for a credit and start a claim for the extra part i had to order. I did not request the whole amount back. Just the amount for the parts that was missing. But since i signed a bill of laiding, My claim was denied. WHAT A FREAKING JOKE!! HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SELL ME PAIR OF COMPLETE SEATS AND REMOVE PARTS FROM THE SEATS (NO GOOD SEATS, RIPPED UP WITH RUST STAINS ON THEM) THEN TRY AND SELL ME PARTS THAT SHOULD HAVE CAME WITH THEM TO MAKE THE COST AS MUCH AS A GOOD PAIR OF SEATS!!!!

Im a Euro/Exotic technician by trade, and for the past 7 or so years Ive used LoneStar almost exclusively for gently-used auto parts at virtually every shop that Ive worked for; now that Im a shop owner myself, Ive continued to use LoneStar for several reasons - their sales staff and drivers are ALWAYS super friendly and easy to work with, their prices are terrific, and their selection is unparalleled by any facilities in the area (or even the state that Im aware of). I called about purchasing a complete headlight assembly. I was told they were refurbishing it and to get it the next day. Got a call it was ready to be picked up and had been bench tested. Upon arrival at the store, they tried to charge me 50 dollars more. I let them know about the price difference and they honored their first price. Then I was told the modules are sold seperatly, even though I asked for a complete assembly. Disapointing but not a huge deal.( I had access to new modules incase the old ones were bad. Which they were not).Headlight was given to me without bulbs in it, The halos in the headlights also ended up being defective. Which makes me doubt that it had been bench tested.I called about getting a refund, and were told they would only give me store credit. The bottom of reciept says IF THE PART YOU PURCHASE IS THE CORRECT PART & IS NOT DEFECTIVE ---- NO EXCHANGE OR REFUND.90 DAY WARRANTY (BY REPLACEMENT) ON DEFECTIVE PARTS.Since the part is the correct part and is defective, I should be entitled to choose between a refund or store replacement. According to the disclaimer on their reciept. I opted for the refund and was denied. Sales rep said he knows what the reciept says but all they will give me is store credit and he had to many customers to deal with it- that i could speak to the owner about it but hed tell me the same thing. I asked to speak to the owner about it, and was placed on hold for 15 mins and hung up on. Maybe the owner will see this, and make things right.

I came to these guys looking for a transmission for my 01 VR6, I trusted them that if the transmission was bad I could return it. At the time I was a bit busy at my job so I didnt have much free time to swap it in. Point is, It took me less then a month to change it, come to find out the transmission wasnt shifting right so i went back to try and return it and like most typical places where they just want your money they at first were trying to void my warranty because I had passed my date when clearly i had 3 months warranty (I had the receipt). After I fought with them about this issue they finally decided to take it in. When come to find out after I took them the transmission they told me it wasnt their transmission and they couldnt do anything about it????? Like wow you serious? This is yalls... CLASSIC SCAM SMH and now I was NEGATIVE $1500 yes $1500! I wouldve expected better service for that much money.. Wasnt asking for my money back just another Tranny.

I own VW Autoworks and have been waaaay too patient. theyve given me three bad tdi heads . so instead of getting a refund, they made me take store credit . now i need a 1.8 turbo head 2 heads later they finnaly get a head to scroggins, i pay to have the head redone . when it arrives, its INCORRECT! they tell me ONLY ONE ENGINE IS AVAILABLE FOR the customers 03 jetta, BUT THEY SENT SCROGGINS A 98 PASSAT HEAD,,, AND STILL DONT WANNA TAKE CARE OF US! even thought were in the works to buy a complete running engine! i dont get it and monday plan to picket the place if anyone else wants to come!
