One of the most unique ice cream shops i’ve been to! Their flavors rotate super fast, so make sure to try them if you’re curious. The sampler plate is about 3 servings of the keiki size (maybe a little smaller — it’s 2 small scoops per flavor), which i would highly recommend.I’ve had rose, umeshu, horchata, matcha with oreos, and they were all amazing — it tastes exactly like the flavor, which is an accomplishment for ice cream. i’m not a big fan of PB&J but even I had to applaud their PB&J flavor because it was exactly like eating a creamy PB&J sandwich.

This place is fresh. Atmosphere is creepy with a dash of sweetness. When it comes to the ice cream “AY YA YAAAY!” He always has classic flavors but my favorites are the dairy free options. They never disappoint when it comes to “WTF is this flavor that looks so good, I’ll take two scoops.”If you’re really lucky you will find the dehydrated apple bananas. They are addictive. I have warned you!.

Wow this place is open late and did not disappoint, these arent basic flavors. The flavors served here hit the palette like nothing youve had.I suggest getting Mayan chocolate or black sesame- 1 star for the shave ice, I know I should have gotten ice cream but we were in Hawaii... So no on the shave ice

Our favorite spot in town for dessert! Some of the best shaved ice we’ve had. You can have the best of both worlds and add ice cream too. Lots of unique flavors and options that really sets this place apart from others. Many gluten-free and dairy-free options. As a Celiac, my partner has had no issues. Cool and creative vibe inside and out. There’s a nearby park to sit and eat. The chalk designs and messages outside are incredibly moving, thank you for saying their names. Highly recommend! 5 stars.

Located in Chinatown, its a tiny little ice cream spot that has fun with its flavors. They dont do samples, but you might be able to opt for a half-half scoop of Ive cream. We went with the black sesame which was almost like a flakey charcoal kind of ice cream. It tasted amazing! And we did a Mexican flavored chocolate ice cream that had a kick of cayenne. Would recommend this place!

Well, I have been trying to hit up this place for years, but my timing and their hours have always been off. Finally was around at the right time and glad I finally experienced this place. To my surprise and delight, they have black licorice ice cream. I know black licorice is an acquired taste, but I am nuts about the flavor. Of course I had to try it. The ice cream had a pleasant silkiness to it that wasnt to thick or heavy, yet was creamy. It wasnt overly frozen, which was good to see the overall quality, but bad for the hot Hawaii weather that almost turned it into a puddle instantly.I think if you werent into the black licorice flavor, you still might like this because the flavor was very light. For me personally, I would have preferred a bit more intense of a black licorice flavor. Overall, it was very good and I enjoyed it.The place is small and a little funky in design which makes it even more unique. It was clean and appeared to be well kept despite being located off the dirty streets of Chinatown. Dont have much to say about the service since I basically pointed, paid, and left.If I get lucky again when in Chinatown, I will plan on stopping in again to try some of their other flavors and recommend any ice cream lover to try it as well.

I believe someone described it as the Willy Wonka of ice cream shops. I definitely agree. In the heart of Chinatown is this little shop called Wings! While a bit on the expensive side, the quality of the basic flavors and the tenacity of the, ill say, couture flavors makes this place a must visit. Where else can you get Pineapple Thai Basil flavors, or that brain buster served with gold leaf and a mint piece. I got the strawberry matcha and I dont even know what the green matcha chunks were but it had all the matcha flavor. This cream is fresh, delicious, and cold! I will be back again for sure.

They are located down the road across the street from the famous Char Hubg Sut. It is the third store on the right from the corner if your coming down maunakea and turning left on to pauahi. Its next to a hair salon and almost in back of the fire hydrant. My favorite is the Kulolo. It is so delicious. My mother tried the pistachio roca and she enjoyed hers as well. The mango is also delicious! If in the area definitely worth getting a scoop of ice cream! The flavors are very original and unlike any other ice cream I have ever tasted before. They offer non-dairy and dairy flavors. They also have shave ice. They do not have your normal flavors of shave ice either.

This is the best ice cream shop I’ve been to in Hawaii. I decided to try the dairy free options which honestly ended up being just as good, if not better than any other dairy ice cream I’ve tried. I have some friends who are vegan and one friend who is dairy intolerant so I really appreciate that there is a place I can take them to enjoy dessert.I don’t even care that you can’t sample things, trust me, every flavor these guys make will be delicious and you can opt for the flight which comes with multiple flavors if you’re worried about it. Prices are inexpensive anyways so stop being a baby and don’t complain about not being able to try the chocolate icecream *smh*Anyways..my boyfriend got the Mayan Chocolate which actually tasted like Mexican hot chocolate my Mexican grandma used to make me!! I got the black sesame, it was true to its flavor upped with a little bit of sweetness and perfect mixed with the Mayan chocolate or the green tea ice cream. This place is great the staff is cool and chill and you can really tell they are passionate about their product & the best part is they make EVERYTHING fresh and in house! I can’t wait to go back!

This is a small shop with an eclectic interior and unique varieties of ice cream. Half the case is dairy based and half is coconut based or dairy free. I decided to get the flight of three mini scoops while my husband opted for a waffle cone with a scoop of The Rising Sun. He said he could not tell it was coconut based and the waffle cone was sturdy and crisp. I got the Kuroswa, Rose and Earl Grey. Everything was fresh and creamy (no ice crystals another review mentioned) and the floral flavors were not overwhelming. The mini scoops give you a chance to sample a variety and if you are undecided they will help you pick a trio of complimentary flavors. No, they do not offer samples but I think it is understandable as they are a small batch artisanal style creamery. If you need to sample before buying then it may not be a good choice for you. The exterior of the shop can be missed from the road but easily found on foot and the inside can get a little cramped when busy. The staff was friendly and attentive and thanked us for coming in despite having a rush of people at the counter when we left. Worth a visit if you are in Chinatown.

I really really liked the ice cream we had here. I think we went with the green tea flavor, which really hit the spot. The fact that half of their ice cream flavors are vegan is also a huge plus--my SO is lactose intolerant and usually has slim pickings when it comes to ice cream places, but he really went to town here. Some of their best flavors are vegan! I unfortunately took off a star bc the person behind the counter was pretty salty when I asked if they gave samples. I get that youre small batch. I truly dont have a problem with not being given samples. Please dont be rude to me just because Ive asked a question. Or make your no samples notices a bit more obvious.

The ice cream and pillowy-soft shave ice were good, including innovative dairy and non-dairy ice cream flavors, but service felt less than welcoming, including multiple signs proclaiming NO SAMPLES. I can see a small shop cant afford to give unlimited samples, but maybe a new sign stating ONE SAMPLE PER PERSON? And maybe a few balloons outside the door to draw some attention to the wonderful desserts? Despite a small neon sign in the window, the shop was not easily visible on the street, even though we where consciously looking for it because a nearby business had recommended the outstanding shave ice.

Wing makes THE BEST ice cream in Hawaii, hands down. Heres why: there is a remarkable balance between creamy, sweet, and overall flavor, whether its a single flavor like VANILLER, or a flavor bomb like FIRECRACKER, with bits of chile-ginger-sesame praline he makes himself. Yuzu flavored shave ice? Yes, and several more yummy shave ice flavors, which he makes himself! About half of the ice cream he offers is coconut based--dairy free-- hands down the best vegan ice cream around. So theres something for everyone. He makes his own waffle cones, so crunchy and flavorful, THE BEST! You can taste all the thought and care he puts in to all his creations. Its a small shop with a funky, welcoming vibe. Ill start Wing off with 5 stars just for being the only shave ice place I could find on the island that was offering vegan ice cream.-1 for not having a bathroom-1 for not having vegan vanilla ice cream. There were 2 flavors of vegan ice cream: blueberry and caramel or butterscotch. I dont like fruity ice creams, so I got the caramel, and I couldnt even eat it. It wasnt good. How are you selling shave ice and not offering vanilla ice cream??? Isnt that standard?-1 because I specifically wanted mine to be pretty, and when I asked how I could tell which flavors were the prettiest, he told me I could tell based on the color marker they wrote it in. I got 3 flavors that were all bright-markered, and in reality, it just came out all looking kind of the same: orangey-yellow. So disappointing.5 - 1 - 1 - 1 = 2 stars
