Authentic, fresh, delicious poke at reasonable prices. A must visit place if you visit Honolulu. We bought different types of poke before heading to the beach and have a feast there!

Summary: neat small little Japanese grocery store with lots of fish and poke options.Price: Slightly high but reasonable enough.Time: 10 minutes in and out.Parking: Decent. Theres some parking at the lot directly in front but its not very large.

Saw them feature on Marc Wein food adventure. Their poke was really delicious and fresh. You can tell they used good grades to guarantee quality. The crab though was okay but still good to try if you’re curious.

Fresh and buttery ahi and salmon poke. Ample parking at church lot next door for up to 30 minutes while shopping. Double check amount of fish matches what you asked for. Asked for 1/4 lb and got 1/2 lb. Good selection of fish though.

What can you say about a place thats always taken care of my seafood needs. The foods always ono, the staff always helpful and no matter how crowded it is, the lines go fast. Keeps me coming here for more than 40 yrs.

Everything we got was delicious! The bento plate was the perfect variety of flavors.

They charged me $99 for shrimp that was filled with water, which makes it heavier than it actually is. It was frozen as a rectangle of ice; making it 3x heavier.I didn’t think about the price because I was in a hurry, so when I got home and did the math; I realized that they overcharged me big time!Funny thing is, when I called them for a price check; they said the do not give quotes!

Full service old style fish market with local and imported fish, both fresh and frozen. Includes hard to find seafood from Japan and elsewhere. Produce and prepared food section includes cooked fish, musubi, and of course poke, poke, poke. If you need a fresh fish, take a number, they will help you select and clean and cut for you if you wish, and wrap in pink paper and you can put in provided plastic bags. Fish cutters are friendly and knowledgeable.Parking is available across the street in the church, but make sure you dont jaywalk and wait for the light because more than once Ive seen HPD monitoring from a discrete location and ticket. Poke bowl is large, comes with a variety of toppings, and fish is always fresh. Try the creamy crab sauce ahi. Reasonable prices.

The best POKE!!!!!!!!! We tried poke all over Oahu, Kauai and Big Island as well as from different states in the mainland (all over CA, NV and etc.). Tamashiro Market has the best and freshest poke we ever had!!!

Great quality fish, wide selection and super tender! Had the spicy ahi poke, soft and delicious! Some pokes run out fast, so make sure to go at an early time to have more variety.

Even though they didnt have Opihi for my mother, I will still give them 5 Stars because I love the service and their selection of seafood.

Such a great, cute little fish market! From what Ive heard and tasted theyre the best place on island! Make sure to get there early and parking is scarce, but it is definitely worth it. High recommend the raw crab and shrimp! They do have a lot of cooked options here too 😁

Great place! I needed some fish waste to make KNF, Korean Natural Farming FAA for my garden.The clear knew just what I needed and fixed me up! Told me next time bring a bucket. Which I now understand. 😃Nice, friendly service from the guy at the door to the butcher and cashier! Highly recommend Tamadhiro Market!

Best poke and fish market in town!! Get there early and score some fresh fish eggs / roe. Parking can be tough, use the lot across the street at the church.

I believe i was overcharged for the crab i bought broke it down to about $40 for each..bought 3 and charged $121 . The store needs major cleaning and repairs. I know its been there for a long time.this was my very first time there and yikes dont know how they passed their health inspection. Had to walk on cardboard on the floor. Probably wont be back

Very friendly staff on Deli. Good priced fresh poke over tasty sushi rice, is the best comparing to popular poke places on downtown.

They have stuff locals love and they are the very few of the mom&pop places left. Wver got used to the a mell but hey, that smell will bring back good memories if they ever close down😄

Parents went here every Saturday for fresh fish back in the 80s when I was growing up in Oahu. Visiting in August was nostalgic. Still the same and still so ono!

For the past few days I have been going to Tamashiro Market in Kalihi. The best and cheapest option is the spicy (sweet and sour) marlin (pictured on the right.) It is marlin with spicy aioli and sweet and sour sauce. It is best with rice or steamed sweet potato. Both rice (sushi too!) and steamed sweet potato are sold at the market for about 2 to 6 dollars. It is a must to go to when visiting Oahu.

Guy was personally able to secure this 28 pound yellowfin tuna for me at an incredible price. Its always luck of the draw because you never know what the fishing boats are going to bring back in but call a few days early and see what might be available. Strongly recommended to be in contact with tamashiro Market before just going down.

Well stocked with Fresh Fish for the Holidays and New Year. I recommend this place for fresh fish and some ono take out.

Now due to covid you may have to wait in line outside. It can get packed there. But their fish is always fresh. The fish of the day is usually posted outside of the shop.

Ive gone to Tamashiro Market as a child and it was always fun today was no different the fresh local produce, fish, and variety of poke is always a treat It maybe a little on the high end as far as price but the quality is no match. Youll know what I mean when you purchase it. The staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful. Always try something new when you go there you will never be disappointed.

They make the best fresh poke never frozen. Possibly the only place that has fresh aku poke. Always have opihi too! My best place to go for many years!

The smell is very pungent which is to be expected from a fish market. I bought fresh salmon & I hafta say it was the best salmon I’ve made/bought here! The salmon was so tender & pink & it literally touched me back when I touched it. I don’t know about u but that’s how I love my salmon. I asked the butcher that cut the fish about where it came from & you know the basics; any color or preservatives added, & he surely knew about the fish which was very helpful & showed that he had some care about his job which I greatly appreciate. The prices for the fish go from low grade to higher grade which I believe works best, so I could see what’s best for my budget. So for the price, it was definitely worth it! I will definitely go every week! The parking was a little odd mostly because it’s just situated on the corner so it’s very limited parking in their lot but then the miracle sign that says park at the church & *boom* so much space. Thank goodness for this place! Mahalo☺️

Huge variety of fresh and frozen seafood! So many different types of Poke its ridiculous. And they have samples, but make sure you buy also. There is sushi grade cuts of fish, live crabs and lobsters and virtually every kind of fish and crustacean found in the Pacific! Must go to see roland get some stuff. Parking is very limited.
