Had a great time in line this morning, and since I came after the morning rush I was quickly helped by a very happy young woman named Imani.I got their non-vegetarian Quiche option. It’s so good! It has a subtle spiciness to it, a perfect mix of ham and cauliflower, was moist enough, yet had a crunchy crust! Can’t wait to come back.Grateful grateful

I LOVE Coffee Talk! The vibe is great and it’s one of the few cozy coffee shops in Honolulu that you can go and relax, reading a book, doing work, etc. and actually find a table/seating. The retro/vintage vibe is great. Service is good. I usually get a hot almond milk latte here and it always is very good.

They probably have the best coffee in town. I love their specialty drinks. The atmosphere inside is super cool. Nicely decorated. Today was my first time coming to sit in and study. It was also apparently their first time implementing a new policy. Now customers who want to stay in and study have to make a new purchase for every hour they sit in. This made me a bit sad, because it wasnt busy at all when I came in and I bought two things ($14) before I knew about the policy. It doesnt seem very fair. (I dont even make that much in an hour.) Usually when you come in to a busy cafe, you just get something to-go or you find another cafe to go to. Glazers in town has maybe 5% of the seating Coffee Talk has and theyll let you stay for hours. Besides this one issue, Coffee Talk is a wonderful place. The employees and owner are extremely nice and the coffee is splendid.

Great coffee, good spot. Came here on a whim, just looking for a decent cup of Joe. They were quick, friendly, and the coffee was tasty. The quiche was good too, served room temp, my preference is warm. No option there. The coffee shop is in a good neighborhood too, a lot of good bakeries to bookend a good coffee from Coffee Talk!

The owner was.. yikes. Karen vibes from the owner isn’t something you see often. We ordered our drinks “for here” and the person serving them put them in plastic cups. They didn’t check our vaccine cards (I am vaccinated) and didn’t explain any time limits. The owner approached us and said “how are we doing on the time limit?” I had no idea what she was talking about—honestly I thought she was talking about parking or something. She asked me who served the drinks but I didn’t want to get anyone in trouble so I said “I’d rather not say.” She said “you need to tell me bc we have a PROBLEM.”She then rudely implied that we moved the notice off the table explaining the time limit. Instead of kindly asking us to purchase something else she said “it’s kinda lame to come in and sit here using the a/c and wifi without buying anything else.” Had she politely explained their policy, I *OF COURSE* would’ve bought something else but her reaction was so gross I didn’t want to give this business another dollar and without an apology I won’t be back. It’s funny bc earlier a friend has responded to my Instagram post saying “their coffee is gross” and I was defending it like “yeah but the vibes are on point” but I was mistakennnn. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere where you’re not treated poorly and like a burden.P.S. The rest of the staff was really nice I hope this mean lady doesn’t treat them poorly :(

This was one of the best finds of our stay in Oahu. Opens at 6am and is super close to Waikiki. My gf and I hiked everyday in Oahu and began our morning with coffee and a light snack pastry. Everyday it’s a different set of pastries at coffee talk so you never know what you’ll find each morning. The tomato artichoke pastry was so absolutely delicious that we went back for it the next day but found other delicious pastries fresh out of the oven instead. Coffee was fantastic as well. My gf’s favorite was the rose vanilla latte which was super refreshing. Perfect before hike drink. Highly recommend.

I have been going to coffee talk, in one location, and one form or another since they opened. I remember when their current location was a bank. Theyve gone through a lot of iterations and I think the same people own it but you know, its hard to tell those things. They have great coffee and really great baked products, the likes of which you dont really find elsewhere on the island. The real problem is its gotten popular with lot of elite, beautiful people and they really should just go elsewhere so that regular people, like all the rest of us, can still enjoy a place like this instead of having all these... I dont know man, they just take a lot of space and make it difficult to get anything there its almost not worth going. Thats why I have four stars for it instead of five cuz I bet they dont do anything to discourage that. And why should they, they just want to be as successful as they possibly can be; it doesnt matter what they have to sell intrinsically or extrinsically, to do it, right?

Hospitality despite the challenge of asking for a VAXX card at entry won me over. Then when a customer had no.VAXX card,!the same employee was hospitable again but FIRM saying you can order but you must go outside. Fair & uniform policy that I saw with my own two eyes. It made me feel SAFE. The coffee was A+ plus bakery items were fresh daily. Way to. go!

Despite very bad service from the older female barista with the t-shirt that said Na, Im Good, I rate this coffee shop 5 Stars. Visiting from Denver and everyday, sometimes twice daily, Ive popped in for Thai Iced Coffee (best Ive ever had) and one of their many delicious homemade pastry items and received decent service from the above mentioned barista. Today however, she had a stick up her arse and served up disrespect and attitude and I returned the serve with gusto. You get what you give lady. She didnt even get the order right and forgot to ring up a breakfast sandwich which was free and delicious. So thank you for losing focus.

I used to be a regular but there was this one day when I went in and had to join a zoom class right away so I had no time to buy a drink. I was planning on buying one when I got the chance and I had only been sitting there like 20 minutes and the worker came up to me and asked if I was gonna buy anything and it was really rude. First of all, I was a regular (which means I went like everyday) and second of all, you should not act that way towards your customers, theres literally sooooo many other cafes that I could go to and not feel bad about being there. Sad to have lost a good spot.

Coffee Talk may be the best bakery in all of Honolulu, especially from the standpoint of price performance. This time I had a disappointment with the zucchini carrot gluten-free/vegan (GFV) bundt cakes, which seemed very under-baked and didnt taste at all the way I expected (basically just tasted like peanut butter). HOWEVER, Liz the owner went totally above and beyond in handling my issue, so alls well that ends well. Unfortunately, in contrast to their consistently excellent conventional pastries, the GFV offerings are rather hit and miss, although the Hummingbird bundt cake is fabulous. Generally, when buying GFV items, always try one first before buying multiples. I feel like its a matter of trying to load too many features into a single item (i.e., being both gluten free and vegan at the same time). A little unfortunate for any gluten-free folks who are not vegan, as its way easier to get rid of gluten in baked goods than to eliminate both eggs and milk. But if you want reasonably priced, out-of-this world conventional pastries, Coffee Talk is the place!
