Lots of great options for parties and holidays. However, most things are final sale and they are understaffed. Things are also more expensive than you would expect.

I had the worst experience here, I did not have enough money to pay for my purchases. I quietly told the cashier that was helping me and instead of walking to the manager to tell her about my situation quietly. She yells it out for everyone to hear, I was so embarrassed because she put me on the spot about my financial situation. I decided to not buy anything after that, I’m thankful that the manager was very understanding of my financial situation and let me return my purchases but that cashier was super rude and did not show any care for what she did. Shame on you!

A lot of empty shelves of expensive merchandise. I went to pay, and the line is LONG, with people in front that have a lot of stuff. Only 1 cashier. She keeps looking up, and sees the line, but makes no effort to call for help. FINALLY another person comes up to open an additional register, although others just kept on doing whatever they were doing, with no concern for the customers in line. The person, when it was my turn, is ringing me up, while coughing several times! Really?!? You are so concerned about Covid that you say All Sales Final, but you have an employee who is coughing ringing up customers! I should have left when I saw the long line, and I would have, but then I would have wasted the time that it took me to shop for my things. If they dont improve, I can see this as another business that will bite the dust.

Great place to have around for a party.But.. they need to sell things that are connected to support their products. I went in and bought a mirror 🪞ball. They had 1. The thing is,they didnt sell was the thing to hang it from and make it rotate. Why? I have been there for other things. It hit and miss sometimes.

Great selection of things at the Nimitz location. I found what I needed and more! Great customer service and they are up on all COVID-19 safety restrictions.It is a little weird to get to the front door/parking but once you realize they are on a one-way street, you get it.

Workers are very friendly and helpful. Restrooms are clean! Store holds so much things i had to look at everything but worth my time! Even my daughter had fun in this store!

The greeter/counter at the door was friendly and helpful.The staff on the floor were busy, pretending to be busy when approached, or ignored my excuse me and just kept walking. The store was more empty than I would expect and still somehow cluttered even with not too many people.I came for cake boxes, lawn signs, and large (12 paper lanterns) streamers or tulle, white wrapping paper and a big balloon. I left with nothing. Thanks, for not being attentive that saved me a ton of money. I went to Housemart BenFranklin and Fishers Hawaii where staff was way more helpful at both places, even though Fishers is basically a warehouse. Local stores did the trick.

Looking for halloween costumes, i think its pricey

Honolulu doesn’t have many options when it comes to party supplies, but Party City had everything that we needed and then some. Customer service was okay, it can be hard to get someone’s attention but otherwise it’s okay.

The website said this was not a busy time but it was. During Covid times, no one should be waiting in a long line. There was 1 person checking in people at the door and only 2 cashiers - one was doing the balloons and one was helping all others and stopping to answer the phone. There were 12 people in my line behind me. Not very efficient.

You know, I dont mind paying for party stuffs, but this place is too expensive! Not too many place to get stuff so its ok, but cannot come here too often, although the balloon selection is good.

I would suggest trying to call before making the drive. Although they have a much larger inventory than the Waikele location they are currently out of stock on many items. Customer service in store is great, employees are very courteous and helpful, the 3 stars is because of their depleted stock and many basic party supplies being very overpriced.

Debbie K.I went to Party City to buy gift bags. I looked around but couldnt find it. As I was looking around I saw a Sales Associate and asked her where I can find the gift bags. She answered in an irritated way with a bad attitude saying OVER THERE! Where is OVER THERE???...I didnt bother looking OVER THERE???...I just left and went to Ben Franklin Craft where the Sales Associates are friendly and helpful. Better prices too. Never going back to Party City.

Its a good place to shop if youre looking for a wide selection of merchandise. The staff are nice and the store is always very tidy and easy to access. Parking can be a pain depending on the time you go.

It was a little picked over and messy. But if you need supplies that is the place to go!

Selection was okay not great. They had two registers open with six or seven workers standing around back and a line that went to the back of the store. Took us 30 minutes to get to the front of the line

The store is well maintained and very well stocked. Some employees needs an attitude adjustment, one of the cashier who checked out my stuff was speaking inappropriate (cussing) talking to her neighbor which is very shocking I never ever had an experience were a cashier cussing in front of me before. Overall I loved the store itself, well presented.

Excellent place to find what you need for a party, sweet tooth, and gatherings. They have a big selection and can vary from any type of party you may be throwing or attending. When it’s busy in that Plaza parking can be slim, other stores near by to eat and Best Buy is across the street.

I am a huge party city fan and was so happy they started offering a military discount. BUT... I am very disappointed with this party city. I came in with some balloons to blow up for my daughters birthday party and they would not help me because I didn’t buy from them. Well I tired but they didn’t carry JOJO Siwa balloons. I didn’t care how much it would cost I just wanted them blown up. Like they were going to make the same amount of money either way. How are you going to turn away money? There attitude also sucked greatly. Thank you very much SAFEWAY for helping me out. I was very happy to give Safeway $40 bucks to blow up a few balloons.

Im not a huge fan of the quality of the supplies. I find it to be very cheap quality. However, the customer service here is through the roof! The staff is super helpful and gracious with assistance. For them, I give 5 stars.

Quick and efficient

Very efficiently run right before Halloween. The parking lot was stupid but thats not their fault. We came in for a mask and there was a gal there taking orders. She would walkie to the back and while we were looking at other costume components another employee brought it out. I could tell some of the employees were getting burnt out but none of them looked like they didnt want to be there. As a customer who works retail... I see you lol

Party . city is the best way to get the most important thing in common with the same time as well as the first one to be able to make sure you have a great day and night and the other day that you can find a place for the first one to two weeks of the day beforehand to their own and I am not a big difference between a man and a few days to come page and I have a good time for the first one of those days when the new York city and I will be able to get the best way to do it for the past few days ago and I will be a good time to do the same thing with the new Paige

Great, had over 20 balloons but scheduled 30min before I was ready to pick up. RECOMMED everyone do that because line was 7min and clerk not sure order was all together prepaid even!

Moderate selection of Halloween costumes. Their display wall makes it easy to pick something but then you have to wait for staff to bring it out. All the party supplies are organized well.

Very busy because its almost Halloween. Very nice employees, being attentive to customers and fast. The other customers were the rude and not considerate of other shoppers. The team was handling it very well!

They had what I was looking for. Went to three other stores with no luck or they had only one or two of the five items I was looking for. Should of gone to Party City first instead of wasting half a day on The Bus going to downtown then to Ala Moana Shopping Center then to Ward Center then to Kalihi Party City.

It was a little tricky to find the parking, because I need to go around the building. Hard to figure out if coming for the first time. This shop has many costumes, balloons, and other party goods. Also, workers were very helpful to find a costume we were looking for and found it in the back of the shop. Also, there is always many coupons online.

A lot of item was cheap material breaking off but it was expensive

Big selection and nice staff! I really love this Party City because the store is huge and rarely crowded outside of the Halloween season. This location is great at answering the phone and assisting you while you browse the store. I was having trouble finding decorations for a bachelorette party and the employee quickly directed me to the correct aisle and gave alternative ideas for decorations. The parking here is a little confusing. You have to go through the parking lot where 7 eleven is and then turn right. Pay attention to the arrows because you can easily go down a one way lane. Really great products and super clean!

A positively overwhelming assortment of supplies from costumes to candy to makeup to plasticware to sprinkles to...basically anything you could ever need for any sort of party. After each visit here I find myself making a subconsious wishlist for future parties or Halloweens.

Did not have what I was looking for nor anything in the same realm of what I was looking for, which is sad because their website had a plethora of party decorations suitable for my event. TLDR; needs to stock up better!

Way overpriced for costumes made of laughably cheap fabric and terrible sewing. The standard size for the costume I picked showed a well fitted model who was stated to be 57 and 180 pounds. Being 57 and 160 I figured it would fit. In actuality it would probably fit well on someone over 62 and 400 pounds. Of course they have a no return policy... luckily the wife was able to take the shirt and pants apart, cut the fabric down to size and resew the whole thing. You might find some decent small items or props but stay away from the full costumes. Total rip off.

Military discount. Got a themed party, find what you need here. Need a costume? Need stuff for a candy bar? Balloon bouquet? They got it for you.

Biggest and best place to find party gear on the island. Large store with lots of selection of items. They do run out of popular items as they dont stock vast quantities but have instead a lot of selection. If you need something you can wait for Tuesday shipments but it may not be coming in that shipment. Plan ahead and shop over a month before your party so you can potentially order online and have it shipped. Just know that there is a $10 hawaii surcharge and bulky items can cost a fortune to ship.

Selection for Halloween seems a bit smaller this year than last but, maybe theyll get more. Staff is good and professional. Parking is a bit of a nuisance but, they have a clean store with a good return policy

Solid selection of party supplies, favors, and costumes, organized largely by event (graduations, birthdays, baby showers, etc.) and character themes (Pokémon, Disney, Marvel, etc). To find parking, you’ll go around the building and follow signage to the designated stalls (look for green signs).

I like their system for getting a Halloween costume. Its like ordering off a menu. And you get to try it on :)
