Very nice selection of coffee and flavors. Staff was very friendly. About 5.50 for a drink (20oz) and have other drinks available.Very busy place, about 30 people seating area. UNFORTUNATELY they reduced the seating capacity, which is half what it used to be. I have been there several times and it is usually a popular place.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this place! We took a day trip to holland to walk around the town and we stumbled upon this cute coffee shop. I always order an iced caramel latte no matter where I go. I was very pleased by the service and the latte was definitely very unique! They were very nice and did such cute latte art! Will definitely return!!!

Beautiful shop. They sell their locally produced peanut butter for $7 (24 Oz) for those that would try it. So far the only coffee joint Ive seen to rival Water Street (Kalamazoo based) in terms of asthetics.

Decent place to grab a coffee or a cool drink as you are shopping along downtown Holland. If you like stronger bitter coffee, this is your place. Most pictures listed on their profile do not match the inside and Google maps still shows the previous business.

The atmosphere at Ferris is clean and modern but this is definitely not my favorite place to go for espresso, I find that it is just not as smooth as some others and a bit too acidic for my palate. But I will say they have the best Chai, if you like those, this is the place to go.

This place is sort of confusing to me. The menu is not very clear (maybe Im just getting old). Theres a sign inside that says what drinks are the baristas favorites, but I didnt see them listed anywhere explaining what the drinks were. The coffee is nice, but the ordering process is confusing and the staff themselves were a bit standoffish. Which is understandable; they all appeared college or high school age so I can relate to being unfocused during a slow retail shift. Still, I didnt hear my name called when my drink was ready and it seemed like an unnecessary wait time to place my order with 4 staff behind the bar, and only 2 customers (including myself). Again, enjoy the coffee. The experience leaves a bit to be desired.

Seasonal oatmeal was stellar. Some sort of creamy, peanut-buttery, cinnamon concoction with cinnamon-sugar almonds to top. Paired very nicely with the West Coast blend (I dont know anything about pairing flavours, I just liked these things together). Very cool atmosphere, very light and bright compared to other trendy coffee shops. Wasnt crowded when I was there, but could imagine itd be more frustrating when students are more plentiful.

Wish they carried more product. Edit:To be more detailed my husband received a gift certificate he could only use in Holland. He was after roasted asked pecans and there were none available, he also looked for some of the candies on the website and none to be found ( that he wanted) but 100% sure which ones anymore. It just seemed like the was slim pickings at the time we were there. Probably due to the holidays being so close and Covid

So Im a new customer to Ferris. But already a devout lover of their coffee! My husband and I visited their shop in Holland on a much needed weekend getaway and had a lovely chat with the staff there who helped us pick out some great coffee to take home and some delicious iced coffee to sip on as we browsed the downtown storefronts. We got the West Coast Blend to drink at home and its literally my new favorite coffee! When we ran out (which was quickly), I decided to order two more bags to ship to my house in Chicago. Hannah sent me a lovely handwritten note commending us on our coffee choice and wishing us caffeinated happiness. I loved that sweet touch. Cant wait to go back and visit. But glad they do quick and fresh shipping of their coffee to take care of my coffee cravings! Thanks Ferris! Thanks Hannah!

My mother ordered me 2 bags of their seasonal coffee for Christmas. It came with a nice hand written note but what threw me off was that one of the bags had already been opened and was taped together with clear packaging tape. Further more, whoever had initially opened the bag opened it incorrectly making the zip seal redundant. I very much enjoy the coffee, its great!! But opening what is a gift to find that was unimpressive!

A great, relaxing environment to sit and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. Ferris offers a wide variety of coffee and pastries, with fast internet. JPs (which used to be in this location) was great, and Ferris keeps that quality but updates the decor to give the place a more light and cozy vibe.

Sad they don’t sell large brioche loaf anymore.But I like their pastries and coffee.A bit pricier than Starbucks off course but worth it.By the way their price is different between Reserve roastery on Michigan Av. and here.

The coffee and snacks were great! The atmosphere is energetic. However, the seating is hard to come by, as one customer will take up an entire booth or table. Id recommend getting it to go.

We enjoyed a refreshment outside at tables provided.

The coffee here is great and the staff are very nice and helpful. They were able to help pick which coffee to get based on he flavor profiles which I appreciated and they have some tasty snack choices!

Spacious and clean. If youre looking for a place to study or have a meeting this would be a great spot. Pleanty of street parking in the front. I loved the clean and simplistic style. I would recommed checking it out.The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 starts is the prices where quite a bit higher than I am used to paying. I was very excited they had nitro brew but it was rather bitter and flat. A good nitro should be creamy with tiny bubbles. Im still impressed they offered it. If they work on their craft and dropped the prices a bit this place would be off the charts. I would still suggest checking it out.Atmosphere A+Service A+Quality B-Value C

Fun vibe, conveniently located. Provided outdoor and indoor seating. Coffee not my fav, but it was good and they were eager to provide optional customization. I’d go back again.

Was in town for a wedding and the wife had to get ready and I think I stopped here three times that day just walking around downtown. The filter coffee game is really good here.

Great coffee and teas, and excellent light food to go with it! I love sitting down to work in Ferris whenever Im in the area. Its easier to be productive with a good drink and a light snack.

The coffee was good quality, however for the price I expected a little bit more. It is pricier than other coffee shops in town and when I ordered an iced drink, it came with maybe two ice cubes that melted quickly. I think they have a good product, just could work on the delivery and the atmosphere

Very large coffee shop. Very good coffee and a good assortment of baked goods.

Came in, stood at the counter waiting behind no one for 5-10 minutes while the barista held a conversation next to us with a customer. She looked at my wife and I, went back to her conversation and never took our order. Wont be going back. I did get to try the nuts at the counter, they were better than the service, 2 stars.

Great coffee and a friendly staff. I ordered a cold brew and it was perfect. Smooth but it still tasted like coffee. Plenty of places to sit and chat inside and a picnic area out front aa well.

I absolutely love this coffee shop. Anytime Im in downtown coffee I stop here and grab a cup. The Nitro Brew is so smooth! The staff is friendly, the store is clean, and its in a great spot to grab a cup of coffee and take a gander around downtown.

INITIAL REVIEW (BEFORE CUSTOMER SERVICE):I got the mocha and as previously complained about, this really has no flavor. Ive tried mochas from 20+ different places and unfortunately this is probably the most flavorless mocha Ive had from any of them. Espresso is very weak and overall doesnt really taste like anything. I do not get any chocolate taste whatsoever. I had high hopes for this place but I dont think Ill be ordering the mocha again. Staff were great and very kind, hence the 2 stars instead of 1.UPDATED REVIEW (6/26/18):I was contacted by customer service from the company a few days after my review and was given a gift card for my inconvenience. I went back to Ferris after being promised that they would change the mocha recipe, and they did indeed. Their mocha went from being the worst in Holland to my favorite. Thank you Ferris for being considerate and listening to your customers. Much love.

Good coffee nice people

This is a really nice place to sit down and have a nice cup of coffee. The baked goods are incredible as well.

If youre a coffee connoisseur, this is the best place in Holland. The baristas craft a great cup of coffee. Try a latte or a Cafe Miel, one of my favorites. The atmosphere is comfortable, clean, and friendly.

Met a couple gal pals there. We all got something to drink..I got a Chai Latte and it was excellent. The Barista made a design in the foam! We sat and talked for probably an hour and a half...nice place and friendly staff!!

I purchased the mixed and candy coated nut package for 20 dollars. Wow, I believe we could find better quality at the dollar store. This item tastes as though it was from several years ago, shame on on Ferris for offering off flavored, stale, dried up fruits and nuts. Never again! I have always gone to Koezes nut store in Wyoming and will continue to. I feel like I have been ripped off.

The Vietnamese cappuccino was incredible. Rich dark coffee with the sweetened condensed milk was a great combination that wasnt too sweet. Wish I had the recipe...

Great location to do work, have meetings, and have some nice coffee. There are times that it is dominated by college students because of Hope Colleges close proximity. I tried something new this time around the espresso smoothie and I would definitely recommend it. It is smooth and refreshing on a warm spring day.

JPs is and always has been one of my most fovorite places to spend time. I enjoy the atmosphere, customer service, and quality of coffee drinks. I only wish they would put out more tables to sit outside. We are coming into one of our most lovely times of the years, which is Fall, and everybody wants to sit outside. Before the remodel, there were at least 2 large round tables and 6 smaller tables. Now, there is only one large round table and 4 small tables. Please JPs, more outside tables!!

WOW! Just wow!! Here to see the tulips from the Detroit metro area and met a local on the walking trail near the park who recommended JPs. Whtr a great cup of coffee, great flavor, just the right temperature - not too hot like many places, it was immediately drinkable. Good atmosphere and the lemon bars were great too. Plan on coming back to explore the area in the future and wont miss an opportunity to visit JPs again.

I worked out of this place for a few days in a row while on a trip in Holland. The wifi is good (~60MB) and the staff are friendly. The coffee was good, not great. The location is great for hanging out in downtown Holland on a nice day.

It was a nice place and decent coffee. Do not be fooled by their single cup brew it is still done by a machine. Normally that kind of wording means it is a pour over style which is what I wanted...not brewed by a machine. That was disappointing and tasted the same as from an airport so I could have saved 2 bucks and got that instead.

Great coffee, beautiful artwork, and a cozy atmosphere. Right in the heart of downtown holland, this coffee shop is a great place to take a break and chill in the middle of a busy day!

JPs is a long-time coffee spot right in the heart of Holland --newly renovated with fresh paint and group tables. Its great for studying, reading, and sitting outside. The Haworth is a perfectly executed Italian style Cappuccino, with just enough vanilla. The artwork can feel a bit old-fashioned, but is offset by the super friendly staff and folks, alike.

Very modern style coffee shops. Not a ton of seating. Great pastries.

Took a little while to get our order in, not a huge deal. But he got both of our drink orders wrong, which I’ve never experienced at a coffee shop before! We decided to keep them, because we like most everything. The drinks tasted fairly watered down, though. It was later in the day so the baristas might have been tired, but just hoping for a little better from Ferris! :(

Modern clean coffee shop with inventive drinks and local products

This was a place to get Starbucks+ quality coffee and service while spending your $$$ locally. Best aspects included the abundance of seating and parking. Otherwise cannot complain about service and quality of coffee, but not truly exceptional. A great place to work, read, study, or chat with friends.

I’ve been here twice, and I probably won’t go back after the last time. I asked for a simple drink called an undertoe. Its basically an espresso shot is poured over the back of a spoon onto a layer of milk. The lady made me a latte and got frustrated when I said that the drink was not what I wanted. She remade it, but it still was wrong. I didn’t complain again because of her glare. I work at a coffee shop, and I know how frustrating it is when people send things back, but you still have to be courteous about it or they won’t return...

I greatly miss JP’s and their coffee, which I think was significantly better than what Ferris uses now, but Ferris is still spectacular! I will forever rave about their Vietnamese Cappuccino. I wish I could get it in a 16 oz cup! 😋

Perfect place to grab a specialty drink and meet up with some friends. Not too busy on Saturday mornings from my experience, which isnt actually all that much, but it was quite enough to have a game of chess with a friend.

The place has declined since new ownership. The drinks arent as good, the place feels sterile. Batistas are still nice though. I had the orange spice latte and it tastes like orange juice in coffee, which is kinda gross.

The smell of fresh coffee beans welcome you as you step in the door. It has quiet, secluded booths for studying as well as tables for socializing with friends.

Good coffee for cheap! Friendly atmosphere, but has dividing walls so youre not in everyone elses conversations.

The quality has suffered greatly in the last few years. The coffee is mediocre and the environment isn’t a comfortable or inviting place. I’d suggest skipping and going somewhere else in town for coffee.

Pretty nice coffee shop. A bit pricey, but good coffee. Lots of seating, but its usually busy so its sometimes hard to find a seat. Each purchase gets you a wifi code for only an hour, so thats annoying. But try the coffee smoothie, its a dream.
