I seek out can’t stores every city I travel to and this one was a dream! Not only did it have an enormous selection of candy, it also was displayed in such a cute way. They grouped all like candy together — all licorice in one section, all mint favored candy in another, all sours group together etc. we had so much fun going through and picking our favorites and some new ones we had never seen before. It’s worth a drive to Hilo just for a stop at this candy store. It’s almost all bulk candy, but it’s not cheap (the chocolate candies are $5.25 for 1/4 pound). But still worth a trip!

I like candy, this place has all kinds of candy. Chocolate, taffy, retro, old fashioned. You can get soda pop, and I think water, but its basically every kind of candy you can think of. Some things I hadnt seen in a long time. You know the term, like a kid in a candy store ? This is that place!

Try the spicy mango gummies. They are too good. Lots of nostalgic candies.

Super cute shop. Pricey, but you are in a tourist area and you sometimes suspend your sticker price shock when on vacation.... Especially when the products are so well displayed.A little girl entered the store while we were there and she literally was the embodiment of like a kid in a candy store. Heck, even I was starry eyed and Im 50 years old.If you have any type of a sweet tooth youll be enchanted with this place.Saw some candy from my childhood (e.g. Astro pops).They also have a selection of bottled old time drinks for sale.We bought just a small amount of candy and our bill was a little under $8. So, yes, it is not cheap, but youre also paying for the experience.

A dentist paradise. You go there and the dentist goes laughing all the way to the bank. But if you have a kid with you, each smile is worth a million. So there you have it.

Looking for candy that you remember when you were young, this is the place. It was fun to see and eat candy rockets, chocolate gummy bears and gums and jelly beans and lollipops of all flavors. The sales people are super nice. Check it out when your in Hilo town after shopping at the HIlos Farmers Market!

Amazing selection. Pricing is a tiny bit confusing to me, but I got it figured out and it makes sense now.

Fun store with choices galore!! Several flavors of saltwater taffy I had never thought of as well as tried and true favorites found in giant barrels. Old fashion candies you can no longer find in the stores and homemade chocolates.

Fun place, decorated really cool, lots of options and a great location. Staffs always friendly and the air conditioning is a nice relief when youre walking around on a hit day. We love it

They dont carry cherry cordials anymore, got something resembling, but not what I used to get, with gold or red foil wrapping. They do have great taffy of all kinds of flavors, inc lilikoi, watermelon, cotton candy.... Chewy spree

I poked in here, on a quest to find some of the pineapple gummies from the Dole plantation. I didnt find them, but I sure found everything else! What an adorable shop!

Staff was super friendly and the store had a nice selection of taffy and other sugar candies. Our kids had a blast getting a bag and then picking candy to fill it up with.My only complaint is the price. We had two small bags, maybe 10 oz. total of candy and we paid over $20. This was about 3x more than I expected. I havent checked out other candy stores, but be aware that this candy store has some steep prices.

Cool little place with lots of different types of candy. We got some runts, horehound licorice, and fudge. The fudge wasnt what I was expecting and wouldnt buy it again but the other candy was great.

Great for when you dont know what to snack on. Just get a little bit of everything for a pretty good price.

Nearly endless selection, excellent friendly staff, and they even have those candies that you love but have lots of trouble finding. Been here several times with my wife and kid and will continue to visit and support this business! Thank you Sugar Coast!

If youre looking for a specific kind of candy youll probably find it here! The prices are kind of outrageous but they have all kinds of different candies.

Just found out my favorite Chocolate Covered Marshmallow had nuts in it. Which made it more YUMMY!!! 😍😍

A lot of the candies here are just regular candy you can buy at any store for way less $$. Im sure they have a few they make themselves but they are way overpriced. I paid $8 for a few pieces of chocolate and three gumballs. The candy is good but overpriced.
