I had an issue after an oil change appt on Saturday 10/30. While on my way home, my car started making a loud noise upon acceleration. Unfortunately for me, my car was ready well after 1600, so the service dept was closed when I left. When I had noticed an issue, I called the dealership. The person I spoke to was actually pretty rude and told me that I should have turned around and returned as soon as I noticed the issue (I actually called as soon as I noticed). As I mentioned before, the service dept had already closed, and I didnt realize there was an issue until halfway through my drive. They stated there was no one to help figure out what was wrong with my car (so what would my going back have accomplished?) The person on the phone said that they would be more than happy to look at my car on MONDAY. First off, I explained that I worked in the city and had no way to bring in my car, nor should I have to lose a day of work for something that happened to my car in their possession. I asked for a loaner, was told that wasnt going to happen.Nevertheless, I disconnected the call, since the person on the other line was just completely useless. I had my toddler in the car with me, and I was unsure if it was even okay to keep driving, since I didnt know what the issue was. My husband ended up meeting me in some random parking lot, and we discovered that the problem was due to a careless technician. They had left the cover to the air filter housing unlatched, so the cover came off while I had been driving (this is why I hadnt initially noticed an issue). We replaced the cover and ensured it was properly latched. Alas...the issue was solved. No more loud noise.I will never, ever return to this dealership. They clearly have no clue, and are unwilling to help solve a customers issue. As long as they get paid for their subpar service, I suppose.

I used to do oil changes for the last 5 years that costed $30 there using their checkbook that I purchased which included 10 free oil changes and tire rotation. I had no more free oil changes left but they sent me a $25 coupon for oil change and they charged me an extra $33 for tax and used oil and filter disposal. Classic bait and switch tactics. Plus they tried to up sell me brake job like replacing rotors and brake pads but my car does not need that at all because it has low milage and everything works perfectly fine, I think they quoted me over $600. They also wanted to replace the battery charging me over $200 for it plus taxes and fees. Will never go there and dont recommend this place to anyone

They have several car listed on True Car, CarGuru, and their own site. Most of these have sat for sale for multiple months with several price drops. When I contacted them to actually see about buying one, they said they werent go to sell them. Only local customers. We never even talked about price. Ive never met a car dealer whos business model was to NOT sell cars. Why even list them on these nation-wide sites. Failed model, failed dealer. Avoid them.

DO NOT BUY YOUR HYUNDAI HERE!!!I visited this dealership a year ago and Im still upset with how I was welcomed. We were in the market for a used Hyundai Santa Fe and the first question the dealer asked was what we do for work. It really seemed like this question was asked to determine if its a car we could afford. Besides that comment the salesman was short and rude with us. We ended up leaving the dealership within 10 minutes and drove over an hour to Rosen Hyundai in Algonquin. We were treated much more respectfully there and bought the same model Santa Fe at the same price as listed at Gregory.

Charge more $928 over MSRP for Appearance package(I got agreement paper for only $379)and 3.5% for 5 years financed, with very good credit rate. Interest rate from Hyundai on Gregory internet side is 1.9%APR for term 60 months(5 years)They push customer to take the additional expensive warranty service for $3994.

If you are from out of town and have to travel DO NOT COME HERE. I warn you, do not do it. I drove 3 hours to see a car I saw listed on Car Gurus and their website. It was a car I was ready to buy. Photos looked great, price was great so I called the dealer, and set up an appointment for 2 days later to come purchase the vehicle. I even had the courtesy to call and say oh Im going to be 30 min late because of traffic and was told it was fine.I get to the dealer and it is chaos. I located the person I supposedly made an appt with and without even greeting me, she turns me over to the busiest sales person ever. I waited for close to an hour. After an hour he finally has a little time for me. He pulls the car I went to see and it is a mess! Dents everywhere, broken taillight, sensors going off, interior ripped beyond belief. None of that was pictured or disclosed. Not even when I called and said I was from 3 hours away. All Fernando could say is Im so sorry our internet people dont know the condition of the car. He leaves me to keep looking at it so he can run and do other things and finally after 30 min he brings out the GM. At first, I wasnt as upset when he came because he was nice and guaranteed to take care of me and even said look we cant sell you this car right now, but Im going to see what I can do to fix it and let you know, dont make a decision on purchasing another vehicle because youll be causing yourself a huge disservice. We will call you on Monday Its been close to 2 weeks since this happened and I even sent a follow up email to Fernando the sales rep which got ignored. I have not heard from them at all since. Biggest waste of my time even when I was as courteous as can be. No personal interest is shown. Lastly, they are not honest when it comes to taking care of someone. Again, if you are from out of town DO NOT COME HERE, even if it is a great deal. As the GM told me You will be causing yourself a huge DISSERVICE.

Dont waste your time. This is the epitome of the Rip Off Used Car Salesmen!! Called about a car I saw on their internet site. Asked if the car was certified I was told no but it wont be a problem to do so. Also asked if the car was cleaned I hope to be taking it home with me, I was told yes its all ready to go. I told them I was driving over an hour and was asking alot of questions as I didnt want to make an unnecessary trip. Of course like so many others when I got there it was a whole different story. They said the car couldnt be certified but I could buy a warranty for a few thousand. After going back and forth telling them I asked specifically about this and was assured it was not a problem. The GM got involved said It was too close to 60,000 miles to certify. Hyundai will certify cars under 60k miles and five years old. It had 57k miles, It was Under 60k not over!! He said they would sell me a warranty again for several thousand. He also needed to talk to someone else after going back and forth with him. Its right there on the Hyundai website he told me the warranty he was trying to sell me was better than buying a certified car. After alot of aggravation he finally said he would certify the car but raise the price several thousand. Of course I left there Very Aggravated without a car. Go Anywhere Else but here!!!!

I purchased a 2019 Hyundai Sonata Turbo from Gregory Hyundai in July 2020. I loved that car. Steve in finance worked with me to get to my price point. I was extremely satisfied with my purchase experience.Unfortunately in January 2021 my car was stolen and deemed a total loss by my insurance. I contacted Steve to inquire about the gap insurance I had purchased and explained what happened. Steve offered to assist me in getting another car.The credit application was sent to me that day and I recieved a call the next day from the manager who assured me they would do everything they could to get me in another car.The circumstances under which I was shopping for a car were not the best. The staff at Gregory Hyundai alleviated some of the stress. I appreciate the effort to work with me and to keep my purchase within my budget. I highly recommend this dealership andI will be returning when I am ready to purchase my Genesis G80.

No Stars!!!! Stay AWAY! Got my son a used Hyundai Sonata car from here very little mies “clean tittle” “me owner” car has been in repair shop more then he’s gotten to use it. So much for a reliable car to get you to and from work. They keep trying to say they help you with a loaner then “wait, we don’t have one available”. They say they will find you a car close to what you agreed on then “$$$_____ higher but with a lot less features” “.. it’s a reliable car”. Wait wasn’t the other a reliable car and yet here we are. And just so you guys know owner (Gregory Mauro) is only here 1 or 2x a week hours unknown. This place takes advantage that you put your savings down in what you believe is a reliable car and don’t care if now you are out of money and no car and pretty soon no work because wait you have no car!! Smh. Dark times we live in and Gregory Hyundai cannot be more then happy to take your hard earn money you scarcely come by.

So I took my 2018 Hyundai Genesis into Gregory Hyundai in Highland Park, IL fir service recall on the ABS system. They charged me to service the recall. $172 for the recall, an oil change and two new filters.Aren’t recalls supposed to be serviced for free???

Bought a Mercedes with these guys and they made the process from out of state as I reside on the east coast (I organised transportation on my own for just under $600), for the most part as simple as possible. Had a friend test drive the vehicle, and Josh was my sales man, whenever I called he answered and had answers for me, Finance man was good, and Kris sales manager also helpful. Mail issue due to whats going on with the government has held up some of my paperwork, but if youre in the Chicago area and need a vehicle, would recommend these guys.

Horrible horrible horrible...waited OVER 2 hours yesterday for oil change and tire rotation...they didnt even give me updates...the service manager is a joke...it was time for my car to get cleaned (which is the only positive thing) and I told them to just get my car so I could get out of there.....I asked the service manager to get free service due to the wait...he says we dont do service then have it be free. DO NOT TAKE UR CAR THERE! They could care less about their customers...even tho I bought those coupons with the car, I would never go there again!!! Just got this new used kona for my wife,the salesman was very nice and helpful.but when it came time to financing they seem to forget everything is negotiable,you dont ask you wont get.but when they give you what you ask for an have a sour expression towards the customer and thats including the manager thats what will not let me recommend this dealership to anyone in my large family or our friends.To give a used but like new kona without floor mats an then when we came to pick up the vehicle the next day,it had barely a quarter tank of gas and we came from an hour away.thats just being petty and vindictive.my wife loves her new vehicle,but we wont ever be back.

Unfortunate experience that fits the pattern of buying cars at a dealership. With the internet purchasing right on their heels, youd think theyd adapt instead of doubling down on their manipulative reputation.Test drove and offered a walkaway price that MATCHED their list price. The salesman hung up. The same salesman who asserted the engine was new (it wasnt) when I asked it it was refurbished (it was). I called the service department and they verified the buy back status and other issues.Im not sure if the salesman was embarrassed or mad or what. Either way, he turned down a cash purchase, but didnt know it b/c he hung up before I was able to tell him my purchase plan. Onward!

Came to look at 2019 Hyundai Elantra SEL that was listed at $13,703 on 12/16 - today 12/17 its $13,956 (9:30am) - and now 12/17 at 11am its $14,035. Website says its Certified pre-owned with 60K miles or 5 year bumper to bumper. Well that is not included in the price, but additional $499. Its an option for a buyer. Does not state that on the website. Very deceiving.

Kudos to Gregory Hyundai for a great service experience on my 2012 Sonata. Sherry was so customer service focused and explained everything to me about the work that was being done and work being proposed. No high pressure service/sales tactics. I appreciated the printout from the inspection as well. It was clear and concise. I also appreciated the ride to pick up my wifes car since I had to leave the vehicle all day. Everything was done as promised. Waiting room was awesome too with massage chairs, chocolate chip cookies and coffee. Also, when I arrived at my designated appointment time, I was greeted immediately and taken right away. I didnt have to wait even 5 minutes. Now thats customer service the way it should be done.

Bait and switch or complete incompetencyWas contacted by an associate in the morning to confirm my afternoon appointment to see a car that was advertised at a very attractive price. When I arrived after traveling 50 miles I was told they sold the car and I received two different stories of when the car was sold. The associate who contacted me didn’t even come out to greet us. Another associate came out and told us the news and proceeded to suggest other models they had at a higher price.

I was approached within a minute of entering the dealership lot, and was treated with utmost respect during my entire stay. I was warmly welcomed by Dimitry and asked what I was looking for. We have been working with Fernando for a while now and he is great and really easy to work with. These guys are great, they got a drop off service, where I get a free ride back to work, and they wash your car. The owner himself once called me to verify if the service was alright. I really appreciate the personal touch that these guys put into taking care of your car. Love the team over there, they make me feel like at home. If youve got Sonata, and this place is close by, I would definitively use them for all of my serving needs.I was looking into potentially upgrading the vehicle, not there yet, but they were very courteous during the sales process, and werent pushy at all. Highly recommend them overall.

Buying a car at Gregory Hyundai is a little like flying Spirit Airlines. Make sure you do your research and youll probably be good; leave it up to them and things may be missed.Nice website, great car selection, and it was an easy process for looking at cars and test-driving; I had a very nice, laid-back salesman who was kind and helpful.Unfortunately, my follow-up experiences have been quite unsatisfactory. I did not do a walk-around of the car before signing on the dotted line (my mistake to trust the dealership) and found damage to the bumper the following morning. I was asked to cover half the cost of repairs. I understand why, but ultimately I felt like my customer satisfaction was worth half the price of a bumper. Ouch. Upon bringing in my car for repairs, there was confusion and even arguing between employees. Ultimately, Ive spent a lot more time in that dealership than is necessary, and no amount of chocolate chip cookies will make up for that.The Service Department, however, has been outstanding - gracious and accommodating - as they seem to pick up the pieces the other departments do not communicate. They are the reason this rating got bumped to three stars. If I return here for service, it is because of the experience I have had with them.

Improperly installed my oxygen sensors on my 2011 Hyundai Tucson that led to damage to the rest of my vehicle that caused it to shutdown repeatedly. EXTREMELY unprofessional and awful.

Went in not really expecting to leave with a car. I was helped almost immediately. I was definitely sold once I was able to test drive a few times. Though I may have been pushed to buy a little I still felt they had my interest at the highest priority. They were able to work with me and lower some costs to my best fit. I not only left with my first car, but I left satisfied knowing that this was one of the best dealerships I had been to...and I’ve been to at least 10 in the last month.

I have an extremely poor opinion of this service department. Three times within a month my car was towed in after it wouldn’t start. Not only couldn’t they find the problem they didn’t seem to try very hard.The first time I asked for a loner car but was told none were available. I would up renting for 5 days only to find out that loaner cars were available the next day. I should have been notified.Thankfully my lease was almost up, so I turned the car back in as quickly as possible.All in all, I could never lease from this dealership again. Be very careful. I am not sure if they ever found out what the problem was

Tried to do business with. Called, no one would pick up. Tried again, 3rd time got through. My time is highly limited so I could not do the come in thing. I told the lady(sales person) what I wanted, seen on Autotrader, and the price was fine. She needed to check. No one got back to me. Called them back and the vehicle was sold. But they had another, but price was higher (this one had more miles on it than the previous one just sold) So I asked what is the out the door price. She would not tell me. We spoke again and again, same question. Finally she mentioned a $700 doc fee that gets added to all vehicles. So, what is the actual price? Never got it. About a month and half later the car was sold. I called her and asked what did that car actually sell for? She would not answer the question. At least now I know.

Marty was a very helpful, no-pressure sales person who spent time with me once in a quick visit over my lunch time, and a second visit for a test drive. We decided on the second visit that a used 2019 Elantra was our pick, and having spent way too many hours checking many places online, this was by far the better deal compared to other places. Ron was the finance guy who worked with us, and though I dont usually get the extended warranty, he got us a good reduced price for a warranty option. For our sales experience, this went better than expected.

Just bought our second car from Gregory. Our first, a sonata, lasted 12 years. Our new car is exactly what we wanted. We worked with Ron Otte, it was the best car buying experience w we have ever had. We walked in with an impossibly low monthly payment and walked out with a car at that monthly payment! He was beyond helpful and gave us many options to purchase our car. The rest of our process was painless and very efficient. We were in and out in about 2 hours with a complete tutorial of all the features on the new car.

Not only was the price the best in the area, but our salesman, Rob Witt, was an absolute joy to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable of his product. Attempted to purchase a vehicle at this establishment, my sales associate was just fine, however, the tricks and games played at the dealership were like no other. After arguing about the lack of floor mats in my new car, and hours of patiently waiting for the finance manager my turn finally came. After the terrible warranty pitch, and trying to be my friend by using his costco card to help me out I noticed a 397 dollar charge on my paperwork. It was explained to me that this was a GPS tracking device, located in the car door from the MANUFACTURER to ensure dealer cars were not stolen off the lot. I have worked in the CHRYSLER manufacturing plant and the automotive industry for 10 years, this is a flat out lie! I called the next door dealership to ask, they said it was a lie, I called Hyundai complaint department and they said it was a lie! No matter the deal you negotiate they are trying to trick you along the way. Floor mats they wanted to charge me, the certification they wanted to charge me, and then a GPS tracking chip they wanted to charge me. Do yourself a favor and find an honest dealer, even if the price is higher if they are willing to lie about the price, they would be willing to lie about the quality of the cars. Should be ashamed of trying to take advantage of hard working people just trying to purchase a car, I will be contacting the BBB as well. Good luck to you all.Follow up: Barry who commented on my review left his number. I called him and spoke with him, never received his promise phone call after he would look into it. I even called a few times and left messages. Truly curious to hear the excuse for the lies. Barry is nicest salesman we have met. Before we went to this dealer, we went to other dealers and salesmen in other dealers are not very patient. But Barry in Gregory Hyundai is super nice and patient. He asks our needs, gives both my husband and me chances to try out the cars. When we discussed the prices, he talked to his manger again and again to try to satisfy our wishes. Finally, we got a good deal. Finance manager Kris is also super nice and helpful in help us get zero interest rate. After purchases, Barry and Kris are super nice and patient in doing our paperwork. We like Barrys and Kris service and this dealer place.

I was told I couldnt test drive a car without the salesman present for insurance purposes (which isnt true). My girlfriend had to stay behind and wait alone in the lobby. After the test drive I said we should talk numbers. While they were running my credit (which is great, I might add), they let someone else test drive and then purchase the car right out from under me.I will not be returning. Id suggest you stay on your toes if youre planning on buying a car from here.

Gregory Hyundai reminded me to get my oil changed, scheduled the appointment, reminded me of the appointment and saw me promptly when I arrived. John thoroughly and respectfully explained my cars situation and got me my car so fast I was pleasantly surprised. Another staff member was less pleasant but she interacted with me but a moment. Ill definitely take my car back, especially if I can deal with John!Just had my checkup and got great service. Sherry really took good care of me and my car and it looked beautiful when they were done!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. My car is 4 months old, and it only has 1,900 miles. Transmission broke and Gregory Hyundai did not provide me with a loaner, nor any other alternative for me to drive, as my car was being fixed. I have called Hyundai USA and they did not give me much help. I have a lease and my lease agreement clearly states the availability or a loaner when something like this happens. Just know that once you purchase a Hyundai and specially with Gregory Hyundai, you are on your own.Also, not the first bad experience I had with the dealership

I have been buying cars for 40 years, from a dozen dealers in California and Illinois. This was by far the best experience I have ever had. I felt comfortable with everyone I met, never pressured, always listened to. This transaction was complicated because I was ending a lease early with another manufacturer and dealer in another town. Plus the car needed some body work before I could return it. Myriam is arranging the body work and Paul and Matthew will be assisting me in returning the car to the other dealer. This they did, not because I asked, but because they sensed my concern and offered to help. This was great customer service. I got the car I wanted, the color I wanted and the price I wanted.I never had to ask twice nor haggle. I will recommend this Gregory Hyundai to everyone I know and anytime I have a chance. A great experience with no buyers regret.

My wife and I purchased a car here and we were sold a “bumper to bumper “ warranty that we were hesitant to buy. We remember being sold on the fact that the car has tons of electronics that can go bad at anytime. We went ahead and purchased it with the understanding that it mimics the factory warranty. Well here we are today feeling sold on a bogus contract. Recently are back up camera went bad, we visited our local dealership all to get stuck with diagnoses charges since the back up camera wasn’t covered. We would have thought an electric camera was covered however we were sold a contract that back dated to 2007 that has no coverage on cameras on our 2012 that has a camera. What kind of fraud is that? In the end we paid for something thinking it would cover “bumper to bumper” however the back up camera isn’t covered. We went into the dealership with confidence that it would be covered and left with a bad taste in our mouth. After leaving I felt that maybe there was a mistake? So I called the finance manager Tony who told me he couldn’t help me since he didn’t work with the company back than and would have the GM call me back. This phone call was placed 8 days ago and here I am today still waiting for a phone call back. This makes me feel that they don’t care. Sold me the world when we bought the car, now when we need help we are being ignored. This is bad business at its finest.
