Felt that price for my purchase was reasonable, given that I decided to pick up purchase at store. Sales help was very attentive, helpful.Did feel pressured to purchase after sale agreement/warranty. Sales person suggested several times, as well as staff that processed paperwork to close sale. Came away feeling that if I had any issue with purchase after sale, I was out of luck because I chose not to purchase additional coverage for just about $80. Do not appreciate that policy. Feel that as a customer, store should stand behind product. Period.Also, a lot of policy about restocking fees, couple of days to change mind about purchase.....signed releases to that effect. Bottom line, came away feeling that once I bought product, all was on me, no support from company. Dont think I will visit again.Finally, found that $99.+ delivery fee way too expensive!Also, feel that a $99. delivery fee is

Vey rude and disrespectful! Walked into Schewels today. We were “approached” - not greeted- by a sales associate named Israel. I told him I was looking for bed pillows that were king size and either firm or extra firm. He turned and walked away! Never said anything, never offered to show us anything…nothing! What he fails to realize is we were also looking to buy a king size bed as well.Israel, we WILL be buying these items, but from your competition! You made it abundantly clear you weren’t interested in our business!

I have been buying furniture from Schewells since 2019, they always let me know when the best deals are happening and take care of my needs. Just went in yesterday for the 52% off and 24 months no interest sale needing furniture for my new apartment, Ashley worked with me and made it possible to snag the deal and pend delivery until my move in date in October!

Felt attacked by salespeople, 3 of them within 4 minutes being there, then had to overhear another salesperson telling another that he said hi when I walked in there so the sale was his, I never heard him say hello and he definetly never approached me. Went into the Harrisonburg store on May 4 to buy a new recliner and met the salesman, Mike Tater. Tried out a few chairs and narrowed it down to a leather one with power buttons. Mike completed the paperwork, and one of the women in the office finalized my payment & scheduled my delivery for May 11. Great!

I came in the other day as the first store I wanted to look into to find my new couch where I was greeted by a lady. She appeared nice and I told her why I was there and that I was just browsing for the day. She followed me around the entire visit. But she never said anything until I went to leave. I was very uncomfortable and could really get to browse due to the feeling of her watching. Did it look like I was going to steal a lamp or something? When I went to leave she asked me if I saw anything and I told her not today and she just stared at me silently for a moment then handed me her business card before I left. was very disappointed in my experience and had to make time to go visit different stores.

Our new home is a Shewels home!! It is represented in every room. My wife and i went schewels to purchase a dryer for our home while there we purchased a washing machine and a bed.We were told that the dryer was previously owned and we ask how long they wolud cover the dryer if anything went wrongwith it and they said wee had 30 days.We had the dryer about 5 weeks and it quit working so we called schewels to ask if there was anythimg we could do about this and my wife talked to to manager and the manager that she would not do anything for us.So my wife ask the manager if she would give a lillte percentange off of another purchase and the manager no sorry about our luck.We have have bought alot of furniture from schewels but i will never purchase anything velse from them.I will only come in to pay my bill and when i am done paying that off off i will be done with schewls.

Really exceptional service. We dropped in to look at couches and sectionals for our family room. They were having a terrific sale and lots to chose from. Our salesman Mike Tate was extremely personable and knowledgeable about all of the different brands and manufacturers. They earned our loyalty and we will definitely shop at Schewels again.

We went to Schewel’s yesterday in search of a new mattress. We actually not only purchased a mattress, but a new bedroom set. Sydney was extremely helpful and patient with us as we debated back and forth. During our time there, we noticed several different occasions where a woman named Brenda was extremely rude to the other staff members. This was extremely distasteful and we tried to ignore it. When it was time for us to do our paperwork we had some questions that the woman helping us could not answer. Who came to the rescue? Brenda. Who belittled the woman helping us, then called Sydney over to belittle her in front of us, followed by a snarky comment directly to us. If it was not for how helpful Sydney was and the time she spent with us, we would have walked out right then. On our way out I asked another staff member, who we had not worked with at all, what Brenda’s name was and she immediately started apologizing. I imagine this happens a lot, which is really unfair to the sales associates. I’m leaving 5 stars on account of how helpful everyone was-especially Sydney-but please beware of Brenda.

During the shopping process the new saleswoman Ashley was nice and let us shop without hovering, I came back a couple days later to show my fiancé what I found and Ashley wasnt there but Mike was he asked if we needed any help I told him no and that we were working with Ashley, he hovered the entire time often interrupting us to ask if we had any questions and when we started working with credit made sure to tell her that he was working with us. The credit lady Barbra was very short with us and made it seem like we were bothering her, we went ahead with the purchase of the bedroom set and made sure Ashley got the commission from it. Fast forward to delivery day we get the furniture and I start to put the clothes into the drawers and every drawer in the chest had mouse droppings in it, so I start to clean them out and I get to the last drawer and there is a dead mouse in it. I call the store to speak to a manager turns out its Barbra who proceeds to tell me well it was a used set I did tell you to look it over before purchasing and they spray the outside of the furniture but they dont look in it and asked what was it that I wanted to happen i asked to speak to her supervisor . So beware if you buy anything here CHECK ALL THE DRAWERS

Shopping there was a great experience and I dont say that often. We were shopping for a sofa and recliner and the selection was awesome. Mike Tate was our sales person and I couldnt ask for a kinder and honest individual. He spent the time to show us the types we were looking for and explained the pros and cons of each. He gave us the breakdown of the specials that they offered and how we could get the best buy for our money. The furniture seemed of good quality and we are looking forward to the upcoming delivery (I will update my post once they arrive). I would certainly ask for Mike when you arrive at their showroom!

The people that I kept calling for an update on a replacement part acted like I was a bother to them. They would not call me with any updates, I had to call them and then got attitude. I finally got the part I needed after threating to contact the owner. Then the part that they said wasnt available due to COVID suddenly appeared within one day. Took over 2 months to get the part.I

My sales associate Sydney was awesome. I had been looking for a Mattress that fit me and my girlfriend just right and she made that easy. The only reason this isn’t a five star experience is due to one of the ladies in the financial area who was rude. I wish I knew her name because the two that actually helped me with my paperwork were great but the other lady had a bad attitude and was very unpleasant. This experience was on 09/16/2020.

The day I went in my mom and I were met at the door by Ashley who was very polite and professional. We had just came from another store where it didnt seem like anyone was going to help us. We should have went to schewels first. After about an hour of disappointment at Lowes and another appliance store to find a stove that was reasonable cause ours had just broke. Nothing no one could get us one until march or later or they did not have it. We went into schewels 30 minutes before they closed and tater who is one of the best salesman I have ever met hooked us up. Julies made the paperwork and very simple explaining everything for us. A little after 5 we walked out with a brand new stove for our family and didnt have to drop 500 or 600 or wait weeks or this or that. U want something nice u need it now I know schewels will do everything they can to get it for u asap. Im getting my fridge their when I move and my new sectional to when I move its a no brainer.

Fast (relatively), friendly service. Prices are comparable to anywhere around...stock on-hand is limited currently due to the pandemic, but can usually order and have ready for pickup within a few days.

Everything was good, thinking about canceling my order that I paid for, they charge 119.00 for delivery. Grands has got a living room set that I like and free delivery. I figure if you spend 2k and a faithful customer they should have free delivery

Our furniture was supposed to come near the middle of February. It has not arrived and it is now the middle of April. We have tried calling and we are getting various responses from different people. Some are saying it is because of a foam shortage, others are saying they have it in another warehouse but are having difficulties shipping it.

Schewels is a great place to buy all your household items. Tater has been and will continue to be my sales associate for over 15 years! He is great about calling with sales, making sure you are happy with your person, and just an all around amazing dude! I’ve bought kitchen sets, living room sets, computers, tv’s, mattresses, complete bedroom sets, china cabinets, and washer/dryer from them! Have been extremely happy with almost every purchase! One of my bedroom suites is around 15-18 years old. Still holding up great, mattress is still Uber comfortable! Def would recommend them for every and anything you ever need!

About what I would expect from a furniture store. Appliances, televisions, furniture and such. What you see is typically what you get. The only pieces that they can order in different colors are the Lazy Boy pieces. Not quite as expensive as I expected on some of the pieces. Glad to know that the sales department isnt extremely pushy. I didnt expect to see that they carry lawn mowers though.

Went to buy a recliner had a salesmen they call tater.not your usual salesman like in some other places this man was a true salesman.friendly and fast as a matter of fact i wanted my chair that day he arranged it so i could have it as busy as they were.i bought a bed from this man in that same store almost 5 years ago and got the same thing.what i wanted when i wanted it.right down to the young lady that did my paperwork dont know what her name was it says stephan on my paperwork that doesnt sound right.she was a young spanish girl.anyway she wasnt 3 minutes and i was out the door.i guess what im trying to say is that when i buy furniture again i wont have to guess where im going.thank you for doing things the right way.

Went in and asked for a specific sales person. She was not there that day. When I had saw her a few days later and asked her if she had made her commission off of a purchases which I made. She said no. I think if my preferred sales person is not there the other sales person is supposed to split the commition. Well the sales person stole the preferred sales persons half of the commission. This is unexceptible. I use the certain sales lady becouse she is honest and straight forward with me. And deserves her percentage. I think I will be contacting upper management about this and have them see why this Is is going on. I know it goes against schewels company policy and is unethical. And in my opinion is stealing from a hard working single mother who has been nothing but straight forward and honest with me as a customer.

So i did an application online and was approved with a 3500.00 credit limit. So i went to the store to learn about the details. The salesman i talked to was super helpful but he couldnt answer my questions about the financing and he referred me to one of the finance people. Thats where things went bad! The first girl i talked too was extremely nice but she said she had to get someone else to help me but everyone was busy. I waited a good 20 minutes and the woman who finally helped me never even introduced her self, was very rude, made me feel like i was a piece of trash to her.. I have never been treated so badly at a place of business in my life! I got up to leave and i explained how i felt to the salesman how i felt.. He told me that he has had many complaints on her in the past... So my question is... Why is she still here?? I will not be returning to that store ever again

We have always dealt with Schewels Furniture. Before going to SF we went to Grands.The staff at Grands is nothing compared to SF. They seem real upity like they are better than you. I know that you try to make a sale but let your customers breathe. Schewels will let you walk around and if you need anything then find a salesperson. The lady that we dealt with CC was extremely nice and very helpfuland not pushy like most trying to make a sale. SF has a great feature with in house financing which is great. They work with people so you dont have to go to RAC or Aarons and pay triple for your furniture. Schewels is alot cheaper than Grands.
